This bra fits me almost perfectly.

Me: Pendulous, center-full, need a lot of projection, soft tissue.
The band is surprisingly firm. Most Elomi bands run large or stretchy in my experience. Maybe this one would stretch out with wear, I'm not sure.
The wires are short enough that their width wouldn't really bother me. They didn't feel pokey at all, despite ending more past my arm pit than before it. Unfortunately, the wide wires and the wide gore do not suit my shape. The gore didn't tack at all and mostly just sat on my center-full breast tissue. I also got a really unflattering east-west shape. I imagine this bra could be good for a lot of people in the small band, large cup range, but not me unfortunately.

Giving this bra another test wear. It feels pretty good so far (it's still early in the day) and I'm honestly in love with the colour and embroidery. Sadly, I've found that any bra that feels good at the wires and armpits tends to do a spilly on me, as I'm sure this one will do as today wears on.

This bra helped me realize I was much less full on the top than I assumed—I lean towards top fullness but have some heft at the bottom too!
This bra looks a little old-fashioned when you're not wearing it, but on it's beautiful! Retro and elegant, but definitely modest with a higher cupeling than I typically prefer.
The bottom and top of the right cup—my smaller breast—gap/wrinkle juuuust a bit, but not enough to affect the quality of the fit on my larger side.
It is VERY sturdy and high quality—this is a bra that will definitely last, and I'm sad that I bought it 8 lbs ago because the band is already a bit loose! I'll definitely be picking up more of these in a lower band size.

This bra is so lovely, provides a nice round shape, has softer materials than the newer Elomis BUT
It's so damn shallow. It has no apex projection or projection at the wire. It really minimizes but it instantly pushes out of my IMF. Combine that with wide Elomi wires and it's an impossible fit for someone who is as projected as I am. Too bad because it is one of the most beautiful bras I've ever worn. The shell embroidery is lovely.

This is my favorite bra. It fits me perfectly. I was originally measured at a boutique as a 38G in UK sizing, but only this Elomi bra and two of my Panache bras fit well in this size. Bratabase seems to recommend bras between 38G-38GG for me, depending on the brand. I'd recommend the Elomi Bijou if you prefer your band a little bigger and a shorter gore height. I think this also has wider cups.
My band size is between a 37.5 and 39, depending on how tightly I hold the tape (if that helps anyone). so if you are a 38-40, you'll probably like the fit of ... the 38 band. Because the band size on the Elomi Bijou is roomy, I would definitely look at measurements before purchasing this bra as you might need to go down in size.
It's really comfortable and works great as a T-shirt bra/everyday bra. So far, I haven't found another bra that fits me as well as this one does. I love it.
Updated Dec. 2016: I've since gained a size in the cup (I'm a 38GG-38H now) and tonight I tried on several of my existing bras and this is the one that still fits the best. The Bijou runs big in the band, so I am able to use it. Its almost a perfect fit, but there's a tiny bit of quad boob on the left side. But otherwise, the straps, the band, the gore and wing placements are fine. This is probably a good choice of bra if you are between a G and a GG or if you like a looser band.

I liked this bra but I should have gone up one cup size (as suggested at Herroom but since I bought the bra at Bare Essentials I didn't get that advice). The cup didn't enclose all of my breast tissue on the sides but fit fine otherwise. Returning the cup and will mark as not owned.

The band/underwire doesn't cut into my high tummy like Wacoal 38E Retro Chic. The underwires are wide enough for all of my breast tissue and extend out diagonally, so there's no underarm irritation. I'm most satisfied thus far by that point. The gore lies flat but is a little high in that it jabs my sternum a little. May be tolerable by manipulating the wires outward. The cups are full at the bottom and the top makes a nice flat line... But there's some puckering of the fabric above the horizontal seam. Makes me wonder if I should have ordered a cup size down. The straps are wide and comfortable. Time will tell if the apex of the cup makes them too wide set for me. I think I'm most comfortable in this bra than any other I've tried so far. Once I'm certain of my size, I will be purchasing another Elomi bra because I am so pleased with the underwires.

Tried on my sister's bra for the hell of it. She's had kids and nursed so her boobs are much bigger than mine. I was surprised that I was able to fill the cup to an extent. The top of the cup is flush, but there is vertical tension from where there isn't any fullness. I need maybe a cup or two down.
Compared to my Wacoal Retro Chic 38E, the underworld are JUST what I need, most comfortable, extending diagonally out under my armpits. Absolutely zero irration on that front. I'll keep Elomi in mind for their under wires.
Since the bra is used, the band is a ... little loose.
What continues to bother me on the bras I've tried is a combination of the wings being too high, the apex too wide, and the straps too wide set. This makes the straps dig into my armpits and the sides come up to about 2" from my armpit crease. Very uncomfortable.
Unlike Wacoal Retro Chic 38E, the band/cups don't dig into my high belly. Very comfortable. I don't know if that's because the band is stretched or not, but I like it.
I think I will try a smaller cup in the same style.

I could not have envisioned a more perfectly fitting and comfortable bra. So happy, and feel like a huge weight has been lifted finally having the proper support for my chest!!

Beautiful bra. Nice support. I like the plunge style for vneck tops.
Seams or design barely visible under tops.

This is one of my work bras; it's a decent fit, but I'm not in love with it anymore so if it gets sweaty, dirty, damaged, I'm not worried. I'm on the inner hooks now tho' so who knows what I'll do for sweaty work days. Probably wear a Panache Sport.
When I was 40FF Elomi plunges were my jam. Since losing weight I've also changed shape, so there's some bulging in the center above the gore. The wires are also super wide for me; not uncomfortable, but well past my tissue on the sides. I used to have tissue there, and less tissue up top, so Elomi plunges and I have parted ways.
The same fit notes apply to the Elomi Madison.

This almost fits, and is comfortable - the upper cup material is quite stiff but not itchy at all; on the contrary it feels supportive given its plunge appearance. Which, in itself, isn't very plunge-like. The gore is fairly high. There's little forward projection in this and it gives a very east-west shape which may suit certain items of clothing I own, but not all. In fact, it feels almost like there's a minimising effect because it's so east-west.

Like the 44F I tried in this same style, the band would be fine with an extender until it softened up. It stretches, but it feels quite firm. The cups are just entirely too small. Pretty looking bra, though!

The band is very firm on this, so while it stretches to 44 in., it still feels quite tight. If I were keeping it, I'd probably wear it with an extender until it softens up a bit. The cups are also too small - they cut in to my tissue on the top, and I've got spillage out the sides. It's a lovely bra, and it seems like it has enough immediate projection for me, but I haven't found the right size for me yet.

I love this bra for those times when I'm dressing up, but I don't do that much, and since I'm not willing to do underwires most of the time, this bra doesn't get much wear. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

SPREADS ACROSS THE FRONT!!! If you're looking for a bra that pulls in the "side boob", this is NOT the bra for you. When standing with arms down at your sides, part of your arms is covered by the breast tissue that is not cinched in. Not good for us short girls (as it makes us look wider). Good support though, and the "j hook" at the back allows me to finally wear racer-back tops without showing bra straps! For me, that is this bra's saving grace! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

panache/cleo are narrow. and polish brands
dbmamaz I see - thank you! I will likely be shopping this weekend, so I will check it out! Can you suggest a good Polish brand? Sadly, I am not as curvy in the hips as I am up top, so I would really love to find something that pulls me in a bit...
cupandahalf thank you! I will keep that in mind and see what plunges they have to offer me that might work better for me!
When you're bra shopping try an unlined Curvy Kate too!
Panache and Cleo have some narrow bras...for UK bras...but they're not necessarily all that narrow.
Etta is actually more narrow than the narrowest of Panache's offerings by quite a bit.
could not even fasten it. cups are made of very stiff fabric that i could see bothering me after extended wear. it also didnt seem very breathable, but loved the colors https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

36 band was too small, with an extender it just barely fastened. but that allowed me to get a better feel for the fit of the cups. center gore was a good height for me but was digging in, might need to bend the wires when i find the correct size. gapping at the top but i think the stretch lace creates an ok silhouette under a regular tshirt.

Its one of those things that always cracks me up. I want a bra the keeps my boobs front and center, but doesnt smoosh them together. Some ppl like to leave their boobs wide, so it balances their hips. and of course some just want cleavage.
