This was on okay fit while trying to discover my "true" bra size.
This is the first bra that's closert to my cup size than every other bra in a while (read: I used to wear 36-38 DD's prior to this). Pre-ABTF I ordered a 36HH based on my measurements and the inch difference rule between your boobs and band size.
However, the cups being ended up being too big for me and I had a strap-gap. My breasts have narrow roots and am full on top but upon reflection I don't think have enough the bottom fullness and/or eveness that this bra requires because in addition to ...the wrinkling cups (due to the cup size) I had another strange little gap at the bottom of the cups that my breasts couldn't fill out. The underwire was good but didn't align with my IMF and if I scooted it up, the underwires would stab me in the underarms (which is apparently a common problem for us petite ladies) and the gap I experienced was a little bit closer to the curve of my breast root, but nevertheless the wires were too wide for me which left me with another gap.
I do find that that I had to move to the second row of hooks a bit quickly, although it could maybe be attributed to my current dieting at the time.
I tried this on after wearing the Panache Jasmine in a 36H (along with it's own set of issues), and the underwires poked my breast so badly it hurt.
I would definitely recommend this bra for someone who has a decent amount of bottom fullness and wider roots. Read more 172 more words
I wanted to like Carmen but there were a few factors that made me send it back. First, I didn't care for the stiff fabric. It may have softened up with washing so that wasn't the deal breaker. I've learned that Elomi wires are too wide for me. The shape would have been fine but I had too much empty fabric on the sides to justify keeping. For reference, Curvy Kate tends to be a little wide for me and this was far wider than CK. Otherwise, the shape was nice, I liked the appearance of the plunge and the low gore, and the band seemed to run true to size.
The band is too small for me. I need something in between a 38 and a 40, so I stuck with the 40. The cups on this seem to be less full on the top on this, unlike the 40G, which I fill just fine.

I think the thing I like most about it is it fits well while giving me a more minimized profile, I think by giving my boobs lots of space at the bottom of the bra and a very gradual rounding to the bust point, and having the bust point low enough to get a more rounded top portion. This bra is specially graded for short, narrow rooted folks with a lot of projection. It's really ...a great design. I would love Elomi to make more on this base because I am less of a fan of the feel of the fabric, although this red is perfection and the lace is super soft.
My typical size in Elomi bras is somewhere between 38JJ and 40JJ depending on band and cup depth at the bottom. I would therefore suggest that this bra runs deepest at the bottom and firm in the band.
Alterations: with my favorite Panache wires in it and the gore overlapping the fit is perfect. I don't have any digging in or quadding, and the cup is nice and short on the sides, the gore, and the cup height is perfectly full coverage. This bikini top is comfortable, but the wires are too wide and cups not deep enough; I get lots of quadboob/cutting in the centre, and centre overspill just gets worse the longer I wear it, I can't "tuck it back in". I wore it for a day as a regular bra under clothes and it was comfortable. I have yet to wear it in the water.
I normally wear in between a size 38K and 40J in Elomi bras. In this one, 40JJ is too big, and 40J is just right because it has been correctly graded for my size and the band is very true to size. See my review for 40J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280)
This is the best fitting bra I own, but is still not ideal. Having owned it a few weeks now and worn it regularly, I have realized that the width is slightly too wide for my root and the wires are too flexible and distort slightly with wear which causes digging into my sternum and spillover at the top of the cups that was not present when I purchased it. This might not be an issue for most, but I am also close-set and center full with a narrow root, so the gore needs to be low, narrow, and stay flat enough to support without digging. Sister sizing down seemed to make the spillover worse, so I am still looking for the ideal cut for my shape.
I would try Elomi Tia Bandless Bra (4280). The wires are narrower and a bit shorter. So even though it's not a plunge it has stretch lace so you might be able to size down.
But elomis tend to be wider than some other brands, i think
I burned out on trying to find a bra that I felt like actually fit last year, but I'm kind of direly in need of some that work for me. So on a whim, since I had never tried Elomi before, and I found one for cheap on Amazon, I figured I'd see how it worked out. I heard this brand is mostly better for FoB, which I am not, but I am kind of 'even' so I thought I might try it to see how it did. Unfortunately, since I'm also pretty firm, the elastic band they're using on the top really cuts into ...my breast tissue, so this is definitely not going to work for me.
I did really like the feel of the band (firm for a 36, which is actually ideal for me since I'm sort of borderline 34-36 but find the 34s don't have enough give to be comfortable and the 36s are often too stretchy) and the straps seemed to have good placement. Didn't want to wear it too long since it was going to go back, so I'm not sure how it would do over time.
Comfycurvy on blogspot's review suggests Elomi's half cup can work for FoT shapes, though, and since I did like the strap/band, I'm tempted to try a half cup as well to see how it works for me. Read more 124 more words

Superb quality bra. After reading glowing reviews from cupandahalf , I decided to order an Elomi. Wow. If you can wear these, I'm jealous.
The fabric is a safari exploding into colorful hibiscus blossoms. From a distance, it seems demure. Up close, it is a gorgeous celebration of color and texture. This pattern should attract those who appreciate unique color and textural combinations.
The four-part, reinforced cup construction provides excellent support. Center projection is outstanding. Immediate projection is excellent. And, the xtra life lycra is especially soft and silky.
Although I need a wire this wide, I don't need nearly 11" of apex projection. Great apex projection for those who need it.
With some alterations, this could be one of my best fitting bras. But, I'm living in wireless models. When sweltering summer heat arrives and won't relent, my full coverage wireless bras just won't work. Perhaps I'll then be motivated to alter this high quality Elomi plunge.
This is my favorite every day bra. I can't use the hook system to create a racer-back as the straps are not long enough, I am very broad shouldered and it is not uncommon for straps to even be too short.
Fits beautifully and is quite sexy and flattering, however it does separate my breasts in a way that distributes weight well, but doesn't sit as high/forward as I like.
@Elomi does a wonderful job at keeping large cup bras looking sexy and makes me feel like I don't have to sacrifice looking beautiful over wearing a bra that fits.
Underwires have always bothered me, but these wires are soft and flexible. Once I get over the "holy hell, that hurts" process, I'll be picking this one up for sure!
This is another attempt to find a bra - recommended online by a fitter after I told her my issues. Cup problem again and I think too small on the left as I slightly fall out of the top but as usual the cup on the right is too big.
Hmm I don't think it is too small exactly--just looks like the edge of the cup is a little shallow for you, perhaps. However, if you've only just recently been refitted, or if this is your first stab at finding a really optimal fit, you may just be overtightening the straps. Almost all people who've spent a lifetime in iffy-fitting bras tend to do so, as it's the only way to get real uplift when the band isn't snug enough. If you loosen straps until they are JUST snug enough to stay on your shoulders, how do the cups fit?
This looks much like how most bras fit me. Imagine moving the gore wires closer together, on top of one another at the center. I think you would fill the cups then and no quadding would be present. Bra manufacturers do not yet design bras for close-set and center-full breasts. Most of us must alter them to fit. Sigh.
So far I like this bra a lot. The gore tacks perfectly. It's light-weight, sheer (sexy) and comfortable. I love the thin strip of elastic that runs along the top of the cups as that is the one place bras usually are a touch loose on me and the elastic gently helps the top lay flat without pressing into my breasts. I love Elomi - I've tried 4 different styles of their bras and love every single one.
