This is my 1st Empreinte bra. I know they have a reputation of making high quality but expensive bras. I bought this bra off of an Ebay seller, brand new with tags for only $55, with free shipping! A smoking deal for a $190 to $200 bra! If it weren't for this major discount I would have never bought it. I have wanted to check out Empreinte for some time so I couldn't pass up such a good deal! About the bra. It is a 40E with 2-part , full coverage, underwire cups. It has a leotard back with 2 hooks to fasten the band. It is very supportive and totally comfortable too! I am very pleased at how well it fits me.
I really loved this bra when I tried it on (I must have to pay $200 for it), but when I wore it for the first time, I was in agony. The straps were constantly falling down and folding over on themselves (I have narrow sloping shoulders, which doesn't help). The band is very stretchy, I was on the tightest hook within a few weeks. I ended up taking in the band 2" in order to get more than 6 months life out of it. It is absolutely beautiful and gives a nice shape, but that's about it.
short roots, functionally bottom full, very center full and I need a ton of immediate projection. Cups on Empreinte run big, so order cup size smaller. This brand makes the best fitting bras for me. Great immediate projection and good accomodation of my center full breasts. The very narrow cups really work for me. But, they are just too expensive to be practical unless I find a bargain. I normally wear a 28GG in Cleo or a 30G. Empreinte starts in 30 and that works fine when new. Eventually though I have to take in the band but I don't mind since they are so comfortable. Great lift and shape in this bra. Probably not quite as round though as a Cleo.
I love this bra so much! It's such a great blend between comfort (t-shirt style bra) and sexiness (sheer). It's amazingly soft and comfortable. It's only downfall is the gore doesn't quite sit flush unfortunately. I'm sure it's a mix of both fit and the soft wires because if I manually tack the gore down, I don't see any quadding, but it's still what it is. I love this bra enough though that I'm just going to take it as it is because the gores failure to tack doesn't seem to be a problem after a day of wearing it.
The 30G fits well if on the large side so I had to try an F just to make sure. Because the band is loosish, the gore doesn't tack rather than major quading. But when I push the gore in, I see all the quading I really have.
I really love this brand, if I can only afford them on special sales. The wires are soft and very U shaped and very narrow. Three hooks, decent straps and luxurious materials, very forward and centred shape. Strong mesh cup with no stretch anywhere. Seams on this model imitate Cleo Marcie, including being a little closed on top. Good immediate projection and the band design permits a looser band to provide the same level of support as a much tighter band.
This is a gorgeous coral colour with two tone pink embroidery.
I found this on clearance. It is still more than I like to pay thoughhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Cups are very narrow and deep with a lot of room for center projection and very good immediate projection. There seems to be a slightly pointed area at the center apex.
I think the band probably runs true, or maybe slightly small.
Even though the gore is a little too tall for me, it lays flat and is not uncomfortable , I think because finally I have enough center projection . You can see on the picture that the wire on one ...side is very slightly on my one breast but not uncomfortable at all. I usually sew the wires together from the back side because I have touching boobs. On this bra I could narrow the gore at the top by 1/4" by doing that and I don't think it would then be on either.
This is supposed to be a Demi bra, but on me because I'm so short rooted, it is like a full coverage bra. I normally wear a 28 but this 30 isn't too bad. It didn't seem to ride up on the loosest hook. I don't know if that is because it has enough center projection and immediate projection. Normally a 30 band this size would be riding up on me in the back and the wires slipping out of my IMF. However, I could also wear it on the innermost hook without being uncomfortable. So I do worry about it getting too big as it gets older. I wish this brand came in a 28. The wires are nicely padded so it is very comfortable, the most comfortable bra I've tried. Even though the wires are really really narrow, I still have the same wrinkling at the side of the cup under the arms that I have in every single bra I've tried. I think it could be because most of my breast tissue is to the center and not to the side. I can get rid of it by lifting the cup where the strap meets the cup.
This bra fit wonderfully when I bought it. It gives a very beautiful and natural (for my bodytype) shape, more teardrop than round. There are certain clothes (think classic blouse) that just drape so much better with a more classic silhouette.
Structurally, the lace it very firm, almost no give at all. The straps are detachable in the front and the back, with two positions available on each side of the back, offering lots of options for placement.
This bra looks like it would work very well for me! The cups give you a wonderful silhoutte in your pictures! I have a feeling it would do me the same. Too bad they are so expensive! Maybe, someday *sigh* !
I knew Empreinte bras ran large in the cups, but didn't know by how much. It is so unfortunate that there were no measurements or reviews in this size range on Bratabase or anywhere else. This one is labelled 32C and fits like a 32D. So I should've gone for 32D, because this one is too small. Now I know that in this size range the cups run 1 cup size bigger than we'd expect. This is a moulded seamless minimalist bra.The fabric is thin but looks like it can take a lot of wear and tear, not see through. A thin unlined T-shirt bra with narrow and projected cups. The shape would be ideal for me, but need to size up. The band is high quality elastic - the best band quality I have ever seen in a bra, TTS - the whole bra looks like it could last forever, perfect for everyday comfy casual wear. Would recommend for short roots, projected narrow shapes. Goes to listings.
I would not say that it is the most luxurious looking bra, it's a pretty blah beige, but the lace edging is pretty. The material seems supportive and soft enough, but it is definitely not as nice feeling as the Prima Donna bras I tried. I definitely like the 3 hooks (I wish every bra in my size range had them), and the strap placement is nice, it seems very stable.
This was the only size that Amazon had available for Prime, and since I've been reading that Empreinte runs small in the band and deep in the cup, I figured I'd give it a shot. The 34 ...band is definitely too big for me - I had it on the tightest hooks, and it still felt like it was about to ride up in the back. The wires are really tall and u-shaped, so it's definitely great for someone who needs a narrow and deep bra. The gore is really tall, and was painful for me, but if you are center-full, it will probably work really well. It did give a pretty nice shape under clothes, and I was hoping I might be able to make it work somehow, but it was just too painful, especially in the gore.
I started writing this review earlier today, and I was going to say that this bra doesn't fit me because it is too narrow, but I think I've had some kind of breakthrough (in understanding, not in actual acquisition, I am still at square 1!), and I think it's just too tall, both in the wires and gore. This bra is spectacular. Seamless with wide straps. The cups run small so order a cup or band size smaller. I had purchased this bra when I was heavier and it is too big now.
I am center full, soft, short rooted, evenish, pendulous, projected and narrowish. I liked the Capucine better than the Daisy. This was the caramel colorway. I got more lift out of this bra, even though it was a size too small. And it's the biggest they make, so I am out of Empreinte. They really are fantastic bras, really well made and so comfortable to wear.
Straps are fully adjustable with a shallow scalloping along the edges of the strap, and an embroidery on the top part of the strap. Wide and comfortable and they seemed secure, and wouldn't fall of my shoulders. I do believe they ...are center pull straps.
Band seemed stretchy and was very comfortable at my 36. I think if you were on the large side of 36 bands this bra wouldn't be a problem for you. Soft and slides well against the skin. There is a 1/4" or a 6.5mm channel with something reinforcing in it. Maybe a soft plastic, as it bends pretty easily. The gore is fairly narrow.
Cups are a three part balconette with a beautiful lace attachment at the top of the cup. I got more lift and a rounded shape out of this bra, though a touch flattened because the cup is too small on me. Gore didn't tack and was close to horizontal across the gore area, so not enough if you have a lot of center fullness. Probably would be a great bra for splayed close together breasts, however.
I loved this bra, and I wish it fit me. Read more 155 more words
This is a beautiful bra. It gives me lots of lift, and the lace pattern is striking, especially in the "berry" color.
I normally take a 32G (EU/US), but when I was sized into this brand I was told that the band runs large and the cups run deep, and truthfully the 30G fits extremely well. I have just the tiniest gaping up at the top of the cup, which says to me that a full-on-top person would do pretty well in the style...
Since it is brand-new, I can't speak to it stretching out, but it is exceedingly comfortable for a brand-new bra. No poking, and except for when ...I spent an entire day on the couch in kind of a crumpled position, no redness from the underwires really.
I will say that the lace doesn't feel soft; there's a kind of starchy quality to it. But I haven't found it itchy, either. The lace is quite discreet under t-shirts, but the cups have a very pretty ribbon-y... "lip" to them, which will probably create a line under very thin shirts.
I managed to get this bra on sale, because it was the very last of the "fashion" color for the year. I recommend that, since its price point is $170-ish, but I loved it so much that I ordered a neutral one at full price too. Read more 116 more words
Even though this gore is comfortable in both width and height for my breasts, I still think the cups are too wide-set for me. I feel like this bra was made for someone who is wider across the front of the rib cage. As a result, I feel like this bra attempts to pull my breasts to my sides in an east-west fashion, resulting in quadding at the top edge of the cup as well as lots of wrinkles along the base of the cup. I don't believe it's that it doesn't have enough lower PROJECTION, because when I look at the cup, it does seem to have good lower projection. I think it's just a matter of this bra wanting my torso to be wider across the front than it is.
This bra is comfortable and the straps are super smooth and comfortable too. Overall, this bra looks really good on me and it's pretty too. However, the fabric on the straps is fragile. One of my straps got stuck on something metallic inside of my drawer and it now has a little scratch
I usually wear 28G/30FF UK, but after reading reviews saying Empreinte bras runs big and deep (that's what she said!), I've decided to take the plunge and ordered 75F (France sizing) which would be around 30F UK.
It fits perfectly. The band is more like Freya bras and although I can hook it on the last hooks, I still feel supported using the loosest set. It has 3 rows of 3 hook and eye, which I think added to the support. The quality of the bra feels well made, strong, and sturdy. Although the cups don't have seams in it, the lift and shape ...is still good. I am full on top, but the cups don't cut me in unless I really pull my shoulder backwards. I feel that it is more like Masquerade Rhea in which it keeps my boobs close to my chest. The wires are also narrow like Cleo bras and the straps are fully adjustable.
This bra is also very very comfortable, I don't need to break it in. Now I see why Empreinte bras are so bloody expensive. It is worth your money, trust me. Read more 85 more words
Beautiful bra, I love the ivory and dark charcoal color combo which looks a little softer than pure white/black. Materials are smooth, silky to the touch, very fine-knit and super comfortable. Embroidery, tiny crisscross lacing details over the seams, little shell button on the gore... all the finishes are extremely refined and together with the print on the lower cups it gives a sort of late 18thC/Regency vibe. If Lizzie Bennett had worn bras after she snagged Darcy and enjoyed an unlimited lingerie budget, she would have worn things like this every day, or so I like to pretend https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
Tragically, it is WAY too deep and tall for me and does not fit. It runs marginally less huge than my 32F - Empreinte » Thalia Demi Cup Bra (0856) --height and depth are a fraction of an inch smaller--but still far more real estate than I require. I imagine this size would fit someone who takes a full 32G in UK sizes.
This is a pre-loved bra for me, so the band feels a little loose on the loosest hooks - but it doesn't appear to be riding up, so it's supportive enough, which means I should get plenty of wear out of it.
The gore is quite wide for me, but it sits low and is very short, so it tacks properly without any problems. No surprise, being a plunge, but amazingly, despite my inner fullness and soft tissue, I don't fall into the centre of this bra the way I normally do in plunges. The cups are pure non-stretch lace, with a seamed non-elastic edge.
The trade-off for a ...plunge that works seems in this case to be the shape the bra gives me. It doesn't bring me forward, so from the front I look quite wide, and in profile the shape is not particularly uplifted and quite natural. It's not a bad shape, I just prefer to be a little more forward so my arms don't come into contact with my breasts.
The wire is quite short on this one; I normally need a much larger wing height to contain my tissue, but despite the wire finishing so low I'm not having any problems with falling out the side either.
All in all this bra is a bit of a mystery to me: by all accounts it really shouldn't work for me: it's closed along the top edge of the cup, the wings are too short, it's a plunge. And yet it does. I guess it's simply the cut of the cup!
Empreinte are a difficult brand to find cheaply, which is why I snatched this one up -- but if you do get a chance to try one on, nab it, because honestly the comfort of this bra is flawless. One thing to keep in mind is that this model at least runs large in the cup: I'm a 30FF in most everything I've tried so far, but the 30F in this is perfect. Read more 226 more words
It's the first bra that has fit me and looked good! The downsides are that it is expensive ($160), and the lace on one of them has started to tear after a year or so. I guess that's not unreasonable, but for the price, I wish it lasted longer.
Are you still wearing this style? So lovely but I priced them, different size -- OUCH. Extremely expensive
