At first glance, the Bettina is a very unassuming bra. What sets it apart from being completely plain are the lace details on the straps and wings. The cups are seamless, but the fabric is rigid enough (but not TOO stiff) to provide good support.
This is a full cup bra, so don't expect any cleavage. The cups also have a slight minimizing effect. But! The comfort factor of this bra surprised me, in that it is almost like wearing nothing at all. The wires come up just high enough to contain my breasts but not so high that they would dig into my armpits.
If you are considering ...trying Empreinte, I recommend sizing down in the cup, and maybe sizing up in the band, if you are in between sizes. Normally I would wear a 30G or, if I go up in band, 32FF. I feel 32FF would have been too big.
While I like this bra, I don't think I could like it enough to pay full price ($100+). That said, I now have an eBay alert for Empreinte just in case one shows up in my size at the right price. Read more 85 more words
This is an AMAZING tshirt bra if you don't need nipple coverage. Amazing.
Like my other Empreinte, it is SO comfortable. Yes, this one is too big in the band AND the cup now (according to wearing it, not whatever measurements this site is doing), but I still love it and wear it. I need to take in the band (but taking the closure off and reattaching it is a PITA), and then it will be much better. I usually wear this bra when I'm tender due to hormones. The fact that it's seamless means that nothing scratches or rubs or irritates.
The cups have stretched out since I purchased it, so if you're between cup sizes (like I was), go with the slightly smaller one.
*NOTE! I have "back fat". I prefer my bras to cover it in the back, as resting on it is VERY uncomfortable, so you'll notice that the band is not perfectly level.
Great for narrow projection, center full, too/overall full. I’m a FF cup usually, so figuring out the sizing was tricky. I’m very well contained in this bra, I usually like something a little lower coverage, and this isn’t it, but it also isn’t covering every inch.
Tried it on for the first time at Top Drawer Lingerie in Houston TX, and ended up purchasing it at Lingerie Underworld in Montreal QC. This is by far the best-fitting bra that I ever tried so far, and the best option available at these stores. It retails for 233 USD in Houston, and 270 CAD in Montreal. I purchased it in early July 2023.
If I knew nothing about bras, and I went to a bra store wanting to get fitting for a proper bra after sizing out V.S. - I probably would've thought this bra was the best thing since sliced bread! Given that it has a very rounded shape, this is probably what many women are looking for. However, now I know that I can get a more pointed shape, I prefer that. I wanted to try Empreinte since I read Introvert's glowing review of this bra - how could I not?! I wanted to see what I was missing out on. Even when I was taking the measurements for ...this bra I thought to myself - wow, the underwires are so narrow, I won't fit into this - but surprise, surprise- I did! It has some very deep cups in this size - G cup. Even though I measure 32GG UK, it fits me fine.
I *can see* how this would be a popular bra in N. America and I think it's the shape (like I said before). The band is also very stretchy - I don't know (in retrospect) if this is *really* the right size for me, or if I would actually do better in a 65 band, even though I marked that it fits. I bought this from France (mesdessous.fr) for $110 cad although it retails in my city for $210 - $270 cad, depending on what store you go to. But I mailed it back today using PayPal returns.
The colour also doesn't work for me, Rose Savauge just isn't pink enough for me. (edit: It looks more pink in the picture online, imo. Maybe I should've investigated more, but I really wanted pink, and it looks more taupe on me than I would've preferred.)
The other features of this bra are okay, but like I said, I'm not sure if a better fit would be to go down a band in this. I would buy from France if you already knew what your sizes were in each style, otherwise the shipping back to France can be expensive, and I wouldn't want to risk it unless you could use a service like PayPal returns to get partially your shipping cost back. Josephine feels like what Comexim's Sirene was intended to be. I just... wow. Yes.
She do run deep, deep. Depth is perfect for my FOB shape but also quite tall on me. However, from the tall narrow thin underwire shape and the very round projected shape this gives, would place it closer to best for close set omega and even/apex full shapes than 'run of the mill ...runs large for their size' people. Gore is tall but the extended overlap is real. Compared to other styles in this brand, this one is a pretty straight forward, simple lightweight balconette with a well-chosen embroidery specifically to reinforce the slight structure and support such an airy fabric affords. Cups project forawrd with a slight angle inward, allowing breasts to remain lifted aloft without squishing them out of the cup. Straps are lightweight but strong, wide multi-layered elastic which connectes to a sensible deeply rounded armscye which does not stretch at all; band is a medium-heavy weight micro-knit, with a narrow bone insert placed at the edge of where a wing should have been. As always thin little eye hook strip with dinky lil sundries bound to both feel lovely and light but also eventually slip and twist, even with the tight stitching tethering them down. For this model alone, it Will become a relevant issue...
That there is no wing at all, yet Josephine includes a weird little bendy straw sewn with microscopic precision into the band makes my brain itch. (INCOMING RANT) What... Why? Just, everyone, you know what? Stop. We don't putfoundational architecture detached from any relavant connective features in random places for no reason whatsoever. All this piece of plastic serves is to 1) poke and stab into one's sides, because 2) without ANY stable materials sewn alongside the cup as part of the FRAME, there entire band will flex and twist under the weight of the bust alone, god forbid one move their arms. We're absolutely not going to discuss how the wire will spring back whenever one bends forward or lifts their arms, pulling boob into the band and then snapping back over. Maybe everyone will not be swooping for their life all the damn day, but the scene has been set and we've all been here before -_-
For over $200 I fucking EXPECT basic parts & not have to second guess what the hell is going on.
Does she fit?
HAH. Like a glove.
Is a bitch dumbfounded.
Dear lord, YES.
Am I going to *&@#ing sew this correctly just so it can work as intended.
Grrrrrl stay tuned. I am not even able to think about it right now Read more 397 more words
This bra is a pretty light peachy tone color. In like-new condition. Non-stretch cup fabric. The wires are narrow and they are tall. I have listed this bra: http://bra.pe/GFpk/
This is really a high quality bra! The fabrics and the attention to detail really justify the price. Unfortunately the fit on me was completely off - I can't even identify what the problems are, most probably a shape mismatch. Full cups tend to usually not work with my short roots, and since the top part is not stretchy, it doesn't do anything for my asymmetry. Overall, so sad that this didn't work on me, I love the colours and design! The band was very comfortable even though it's 1-2 sizes up than my usual band size. The band is made from one single layer of stretchy material but very supportive. The strap design is gorgeous, and the colour of the bra would work really well as a more interesting option instead of black.
short roots, very center full , functionally full on bottom. Require extreme amount of immediate projection. This bra does not fit. Gore is fine, center full accommodation is good. Narrow cups are great. I can't quite fill the top of the cups.
And there is not enough immediate projection. This is true for all the seamless bras in this brand, even though the seamed bras in this brand fit me great. Band seems to be okay. I normally wear a 28GG in Cleos.
I'm functionally full on bottom, short roots and very center full. This is just too much bra for me. Cups are too tall and I don't fill the tops of the cup well. It does a good job of accommodating my center fullness. Immediate projection is good Gore too tall and I get that muffin top over the gore. Under a t shirt this is close to invisible and I think in all but the most clingy shirt, it would not show.
Short roots, very center full, functionally full on bottom although in my perkier days even. Kaela is a sturdier bra than Melody. Very front and center shape much like a Cleo. However, not as invisible under a T shirt as Melody. Passable though in all but the lightest colored ones. Lace is firmer than in Melody. Band for a 30 is comfortable on me. I usually wear a 28. There is not enough immediate projection for me. I have about an inch of space at the bottom of the cup. Most bras in this band are very good for immediate projection. Does accommodate center fullness well. Gore is too tall and I have that little muffin top over the gore.
This is Empreinte Nikki Full Cup 07167 Short roots, functionally full on bottom. In perkier days probably even. Very center full and require a lot of immediate projection. Band is a little loose . Normally wear a 28. Accommodates center fullness and immediate projection well. Gore is too tall and I get a little muffin top over the gore. I think this is quite good under most t-shirts. Probably wouldn't be invisible under a white thin t-shirt though. Shape is natural and didn't really give my very heavy breasts the lift I like.
Short roots, very center full, functionally full on bottom although in my perkier days probably even. I'm desperate for a bra that would work like a T shirt bra, so decided to pay the on sale price for a perfect fit. This brand works very well for me in a seamed bra. Alas, this is not a perfect fit. Doesn't accommodate my center fullness as well as their seamed bras. One wire sits on breast tissue. Also slightly less immediate projection than their seamed bras. This bra is pretty invisible under a t shirt. Shape is understated and very natural. Almost gives a minimized look which I don't mind since I'm short and short waisted. Seemed to support my very dense breasts well. Band in a 30 seemed okay. I usually wear a 28 if available. Probably would need to eventually take the band in I'm not going to keep it because at this price it needs to be perfect.
This bra did not work for me. I have slope breasts and very little breast tissue up top and in the upper corners of my chest. This bra has a ton of material in the corners so of course it created puckering in the bra that made weird lines under my tops. And anytime I moved the bra looked 10 times worse. Like folks are saying this brand definitely runs larger. I would size down in the band and keep the same cup size.
I think I get a little "orange in a glass" effect in this cup size. I would love to try this in a cup size larger. The band is very stretchy also as it goes to 32". The seams on the cups are a little distorted and kinda make the shape of a ballet slipper at the apex. The cups are a little too far apart for me as well. The gore is nice and low.
