The cup material is quite firm and offers good support and a rounded, lifted, natural shape that is seamless but completely unlined. The wings are a very stretchy satin material, that I was able to go a size down on and still fit comfortably. Also, the E in the 30 fit better than the DD on the 32. Go figure.
This bra fits beautifully (like every Empreinte bra) and is in the vane of the Lola. The cups are deep through the centre. The wires are relatively narrow. The materials are luxe and strong - very high quality. I'd say it fits on the generous side by comparison with other brands that do "half sizes" i.e. FF cups (French brands do an F and then a G). More to the point, it fits well on deep, narrow breasts. The straps are comfortable. The whole thing is a delight. Alas, it's very pricey. The one thing I'd change about this bra is that I'd make the straps fully-adjustable (but they are so comfortable because of the way the half strap has been constructed. They would have had to forgo that in order to make the straps fully-adjustable.
If you have close set, deep but centre-balanced, dense breasts on a narrow frame, this bra cannot be beat. It has awesome stretch recovery in the band - which does not budge after 12 hours of wear. It's comfortable. It's freakin' gorgeous. It's sexy. It's chic. It's beautifully made. The ONLY con: It costs a fortune. Note: This bra does fit generously by comparison with Freya or Panache. I generally wear a 32FF or 30G and this is just right in the 30F.
Note: I have the confetti colour in the same size and the fit (specifically in the band) is quite different. The confetti runs smaller...
I like this bra - very useful basic and gives round shape under T shirts. (Note: I tend to prefer a pointy shape.) It's very supportive and beautifully made. As with all Empreinte bras, it does not stretch out of shape and it's quite comfortable. However, I purchased it in a 30F vs a 32F and I could really use the extra back and cup space. (Note: Empreinte designs every size (band as well as cup) with different wires with the recognition that as back size changes, proportions around cup shape do also...) I don't think I'd buy it again - not my fave look - but I do wear this one, albeit on days when I'm feeling less full in the bust. One other con: super pricey...
Beautiful, well-made, comfortable bra. I see what the fuss is about. BUT it doesn't lift my breasts where they should be. Maybe because I am so used to seamed cups, but the apex of my breasts was too low, and adjusting the shoulder straps didn't help much. And it was about 3 inches too low. If I' m going to spend that much on a bra (LOVE my Prima Donnas), everything had better be perfect. Sadly, I am returning this.
I don't care what this site says about it fitting or not, this is my most favourite bra, especially since I recently took in the band by.. umm.. 3 inches. Even though it's now cutting into the top of my breast a little. I honestly didn't notice till I took the pictures.
It is perfect. Comfortable, good shape, I don't even notice I'm wearing a bra when I have it on.
LOVE.
Well, everything except the price, which is about $160 Canadian. Which is why I only have one.
Cup-wise this bra probably fits me better than the Prima Donna bras that I like better. This bra has nice wide and slightly padded straps, 1 5/8 inches at the widest, and in the back the straps are 1 inch. The center gore almost sits on my sternum. I don't poof over the top of the cups at the end of the day as I do in other bras.
It's a lace bra, but it works well under a t-shirt as it isn't a stretch lace, and the lace is oddly smooth under clothing. The "rose" area of the lace is a great "mark" to put the nipples...
Something about this bra is uncomfortable for me though, I think it is how the wire sits on my rib. I wore it when I was sick and laying about all day, and it created a raw spot on my skin over my rib. I have this bra on for half an hour and I want to take it off.
