SF Motyl is a softcup reissue of Opium. The fabric is the same, I never had the Opium but I believe some of the lace trim used on the brief bottom is also the same. The fabric is soft and silky and stretchy. It feels like swimwear jersey and I like it. It's very light on my body.
I wasn't a super fan of the pattern on my screen - there's a yellow-ish green color in the pattern that is a huge turn off for me and I nearly didn't buy the set because of that, but I really like the lace topped SFs and decided to just get ...it anyway and see what I thought in person. I'm glad I did, because I really like it! My set doesn't have too much of that color I disliked, and what is there blends in well enough that it doesn't bother me. The rest of the set overall is just really fun, flirty, and summery. It's very cute. I love the hot pink lace, the peek-a-boo gore she's been favoring lately, and the butterfly additions are a nice departure from bows and a throwback to old Ewa collections, and yes, they are fabric.
This SF fits me similar to my other lace topped SFs, that is very much like a BM. I get a nice rounded profile and the wires stay high enough for me to be mostly comfortable. I got this in a 70 band as the SF's gore sits too high on my sternum and right on a knot that likes to make its presence known. The band is pretty stretchy so I'm on the second hook while still taking advantage of the extra space of the larger band. I have pretty wide spread costochondritis across my rib cage and it's the worst at my sternum, the gore on the SFs and BMs are really bad for me because they hit at that area and the wires are harder than they are in an SM. Going up a band size in this cut helps a lot and makes it so that I can actually wear the bra that fits me best without putting me in pain. I'm not sure I've mentioned this before, but that's why I'll mark 29" BM/SFs as too tight, but not 29" SMs.
Anyway, this bra has split straps. Ewa has done these before and I have removed them on every Gazeta I have had (4) because they chafed and I felt like support suffered for their presence. These are much better. The ribbon is softer and they don't bother me at all. They're very cute so I'm happy to be able to leave these loops intact. They're easy to remove, but I like the look a lot. This SF does not have mesh under the stretch lace upper panel. Both my Babeczki and Owocki do and I expected this to as well. It's a bit odd that it lacks the mesh, but it honestly doesn't seem to have any impact on the fit of the cup and it fits and looks the same as my others.
I've washed this a few times and the lace is holding up well, sometimes Ewa's lace will pill up right away, sometimes it lasts forever. I'm not sure yet if this is the latter type, but it's not the former! The butterflies at the gore and at the back of both bottoms sit on hot pink bows. It's an adorable look but the bows bleed when washed and those butterflies are now stained. I don't really mind, but I did want to note that. One could probably temporarily remove the butterflies for the first few washes until the excess dye is discharged and then reattach them to prevent the transfer of color.
The bottoms are cute and also stretchy. I got the briefs in 38 for my butt and the thong in a 36. Both fit well, but this specific cut of briefs isn't my favorite. It's way too full coverage for me. I wish it were skimpier or had a full lace back, but it is soft and smooth on my behind so at least they're comfortable. Read more 583 more words
This is the second bra I received from jlcl119, along with my BM Fluo. Thank you! The Lato is one of the bras I remember being on Ewa's website when I first discovered them (and apparently that was SS2012, so it's been 7 years now... holy moly), so I of course had to get my hands on it when I saw it listed, despite it being two band sizes too large.
As for the appearance, I think it's super cute. The cups and band are made of a satiny floral print on a beige base with a thin blue and beige lacey trim on the ...top of the cups, and matching blue bows at the gore and straps. The front half of the straps are made of the same patterned floral fabric. As for the fit, it's not ideal, and I'm definitely considering passing it on to someone else. The band is obviously too big, which I expected, but the cups are a tad shallow at the apex, and the gore doesn't tack on me. When I press the gore onto my sternum, I do get a fair amount of quadboob happening. I don't think the cups have quite enough depth for me, and I think the poor fit would become exacerbated if I shortened the band to a proper length for me. I do feel like I'm on the larger end of the spectrum for my usual size right now, so I can't say for sure whether it would fit better if I lost a little volume or not.
Really, my only reason for keeping this bra would be because the matching thong is so damn cute and fits me so well! I'm torn on whether to keep the set together for posterity (it is seven years old after all, so the new owner wouldn't be able to find matching bottoms anywhere if that's something they would want) or to separate the two by selling the bra and keeping the thong for myself. Then again, the thong is a size 34(6) (basically an XS), so maybe they wouldn't fit the new owner anyway. Argh!
Anyway, super cute, doesn't really fit me, thankful for the opportunity to have tried it lol. Read more 265 more words
Such a gorgeous pattern. I love the turquoise accents.
It’s really cute and I looked at it too, but knew that it would not fit. I am sorry it’s not an ideal fit for you.
This floral pattern is so pretty. Sorry it did not work.
That's really cute, sorry it didn't work.
That's really cute, sorry it didn't work.
Love these colors, thanks for the good review.
It's so pretty and I wish it fit you better, hell I wish it fit *me* better!
If you have another bra that thong would work with I'd encourage you to keep it, it's so pretty and EM 34s are a rarity :)
Weeping. I am weeping. That bra is gorgeous AND you have a matching thong in XS?! She won't make me bottoms in xS. If that bra was my size, I'd be begging you for it. I would list the bra and if the purchaser asked about matching pants, and is willing to pay, then you may have to sell as the set. But many people don't care or won't fit an XS anyway.
I received this bra about a week ago from jlcl119. Thank you! As I said in my last review for the BM Puder, the BM is my all-time favourite cut, and Fluo marks my seventh. I had a chance to wear it at work the other day, and these are my initial thoughts. First of all, what an awesome colour! It's so bright, vibrant, and fluorescent. This is one bra I won't hesitate to wear under white or light coloured shirts, because it deserves to be shown off in my opinion. The cups are all lace, the band is that silky, stretchy, satiny material (same ...as my Puder and Szafirowa Pantera), and the whole thing is lined in white to really make the colour pop. Also, in my pictures, it makes me look really tan because my poor little iPhone 6 camera can't handle it lol (compare these pics with my pics of Puder; I promise I didn't get a tan in a week!).
When I bought this bra, I was worried that the band would be too big for me, but luckily that is not the case! I can comfortably wear it on the second hook and it stays in place throughout the day. I feel like the band actually doesn't have a lot of stretch in it, but as long as it stays comfortable, I don't mind. The cups are a perfect depth for me, and this bra definitely feels like the "old" construction, which means it feels like it has a lower apex and lower cup height/coverage. This works much better for me, personally. It is most apparent when you compare this with my BM Porto; the cup height on my Porto is 0.3" taller, and if you look at the angled pictures side by side, you can see a dramatic difference in the shape. (I do believe my Porto has softened a bit and rounded out through washing and wearing, though, so it may achieve my preferred silhouette in the future). Fluo gives me a perfectly round and minimized appearance, just the way I like it!
Overall I'm extremely happy to add Fluo to my rotation. Now I just need to find some matching panties! Read more 262 more words
I'm so glad you're happy with it, and it looks great on you! I hope you're able to find some bottoms that will go well with it.
It is one of my faves. Notoriously tight band, so good for the tiny rib crowd.
Looks super on you. Really. Tan and all ;)
It's amazing how a good bra can make the day !
Wow, this gives you such a nice shape! It looks fantastic on you!!! I just got my BM La Gloria in the mail and it gives me a more 'natural' shape compared to the Koronkowa I tried recently (won't be able to do the review for another week as I'm out of town). I love the colour of the La Gloria, but I wish it gave me a more rounded profile like you get with this bra. Oh well, it's beautiful all the same. BMs sure are comfortable and forgiving of boob fluctuations, like I've heard others say. Glad you got another great fit!
Thank you everyone! Wilderness1 As I mentioned in this review, my BM Porto definitely gave me a pointier shape when I first got it, but I checked it again just last night, and it has definitely rounded out since I first got it. Not quite to the same level as Fluo, but it may get there in time, so I would just be patient with your La Gloria and have faith that it'll get closer to where you want it to be with wearing and washing :)
I am a sucker for lacey nude bras. When I saw this model, I knew I would have to buy it. It is both practical and sexy. While the lace is quite intricate, it does lay flat under t-shirts and passes the white t-shirt test. I've included a photo of the bra under a white t-shirt to illustrate its functionality as a nude bra.
There is not much data about this bra - or the M Scarlett (same style but in red lace) in the upper limits of the size range despite it being an older model. So, of course, I had to order it from ... class="mentioned-item mu-40143">MagdaBras4you for bra science. Magda as always is a pleasure to work with and her prices (shipping in particular) are significantly cheaper than direct orders of padded bras for Canadian girls.
The fit of this bra is identical to the 65FF M Carmen. TLDR - it has narrow, deep cuts, great immediate projection, a low gore and gives a rounded, yet, natural shape.
The band on this bra, like the M Carmen, fits functionally as 60. This band is slightly shorter and fits perfectly firm on my 27" ribcage. This bra has a full lace band which makes it firmer than the mesh band of the XOXO and the mesh lace band of the Carmen. Sonya if you did order this bra - I think you will love the band. Ladies who need a true 65 band will want to size up to a 70.
Once again, I am delighted by the M cut. It is an unsung hero for ladies with mid-range busts and small rib cages. Read more 174 more words
It's beautiful, and looks like a great match for your skin tone.
This looks amazing on you- beyond gorgeous! What a perfect nude for you! I am so happy I ordered this one.
Sonya I thought of you when it arrived today! I think you are going to love it. The band is just heaven.
So gorgeous!!! So gorgeous.
I wonder if they'd do a 70FF for me? Hmmm. My 65S fits great though, so I'd be reticent to experiment with non-returnables.
AprilGoulding I wonder if EM would do a 65G S for you in this lace? Perhaps Magda can convince them
Looks very pretty on you rachaelll !
Wilderness1 have you tried an m? I wonder if it would work on you? We seem to have a similar shape
rachaelll I found the M to be a bit pointy on me. Of course, when I tried it, I was also between sizes, so maybe in a smaller size it wouldn't have looked quite so pointy. I didn't mind it, but it wasn't my most favorite shape. Ewa Michalak bras are hit and miss with me, largely because I'm in between sizes. The BM in 65FF worked out well, but if I lose any weight between now and when it arrives (in like 2 months), it will probably start looking pointy on me too. Ah sigh. I do love EM bras but they don't always love me.
Wow, another amazing bra! It looks wonderful on you. 💙
Wilderness1 I have a 70F M Syrena if you ever want to try it on
rachaelll thanks for the kind offer, but the M I had was a 70F also.
Love how it looks on you!
You look wonderful in it!🌻 Thank you for the opportunity to cooperate. I am always ready to help. Girls, are we making another group order? Are they willing?
Do you find that it is tighter than your xoxo? Stretched band on the xoxo was 28” and here it is 26” or so, so even smaller than a 60 which should be a 28 UK equivalent. I think that I would definitely need at least a 70, possibly 75, depending upon the band construction. I know that she’s mentioned that the bands run small and tight with the M, so if that’s the case, why does she not fix it? She’s the designer. Doesn’t she have a say? Just random thoughts.
Calluna the band on the perlowy feels firmer and is shorter than both the XOXO and Carmen even though the unstretched measurement is the same. It is a full lace band with powermesh underneath. I suspect that in layering these fabrics, the total stretch capacity of the band is reduced. Powermesh usually has a 40 - 30% stretch capacity, but when layers this can be significantly reduced depending on the stretch direction and capacity of the layered lace fabric. The lace on the Carmen appears to be a light mesh lace rather than the heavier lace on the perlowy. The Carmen lace likely has greater stretch - making that band slightly longer. The Xoxo and Syrena have just a single layer of powermesh for the band.
I wonder if in part the firmness of the band is purposeful on EM's part. Given that this cut is designed for petite women with small to medium busts, perhaps there are a number of customers who like me want a 60 band and are happy to purchase a 65 rather than order a custom bra.
I don’t know. I mean, it’s forcing people to sister size up. Why not make a 65 band fit like a 30...if it’s a bit snug, ok, but why like 1-2 sizes tight? And yes, I totally forgot about the lace covered band making it even tighter.
But really, a 65/30 band fitting like a 55/26? I think that it’s crazy and she has the ability to correct it instead of just saying it fits tight. Maybe I am cranky. Lol.
I guess if it’s only one band size tight, it’s not as bad, but two bands is a bit ridiculous to me. And why not actually label them as they fit per the petite medium busy range?
I found this bra in the listings, and although it had an (!) by it because it had been up for a long time without an update, I did actually hear back form the seller, although not right away. It was in my price range, within Canada, and one that I’d really wanted to try. Having a better feel for my measurements, I took a gamble to message the seller even though it was an old listing. To be honest, I was totally surprised that I even had a reply. She replied around the holidays and we set up a swap, ...and although there were a few hiccups, the bra arrived and I rejoiced! It’s so beautiful, and I had been really wanting to try a half lace BM after learning that they fit a little bit smaller then the full lace ones for whatever reason. Feeling like maybe my Cabernet was a half size too big made me suuuuper curious about the half lace BM fit.
This bra is a gorgeous shimmering champagne or pearl colour (hence the name), which is not exactly the colour that I would normally gravitate towards, but I needed a lighter neutral (non white) bra, especially as my 30E Curvy Kate Ellace in latte was too small and I hadn’t gotten a larger size in it. (This is actually the bra that I swapped for, with a few tea samples as well). It’s a surprisingly hard colour to match for underwear that isn’t especially made to match from Ewa. The pearl detail at the gore are beautiful as well. This bra sorta straddles granny with sophisticated glamour...it’s definitely not what I would consider fun. But it’s still utterly gorgeous. And I think that I pull off the colour pretty well on my fairly pale skin. The lower cup material is super soft and smooth. It’s also very lightweight. As mentioned, this is a half lace BM, so it’s not reinforced with the tulle inside, but it does have the stretch lace on top. To me, I think that the lace is somewhat more substantial than the lace of my Cabernet.
When I first got it, I messaged my bra fitting friend about it and the fit and she had asked me if it had more room at the wire, because I get wrinkles at the wire with my Cabernet and I said “yes, I think so” and sent off pictures. She replied back that “yes, it looks like it has more immediate projection but not as much lift” (but did say that it looked like a good fit)...I immediately felt defensive and was like “this bra fits me perfectly...it’s rounded and lifted and roomier at the wire and way better than the Cabernet” but maybe more in sentiment and not in the same words. A little bit later as I evaluated the fit and did comparisons with the Cabernet, I realized that she was right, with her infinite bra wisdom, and I apologized.
The measurements of the bra are nearly identical to the Cabernet, yet I feel like I have a whole different fit. Somehow it is magical. I think that it was brasaremean that said that because it is not lined, the cups have a little bit of droop, and I think that is precisely why it’s more rounded on me than the full lace. I’m allowed to extend down a bit more as well as out, which allows, me to round out some. Given my medium bust range, I’m not too heavy, so I don’t see it as a problem for me, but can see it as a problem for busts that are heavier than mine. A little bit about the band...it is a 70, yet definitely does not even stretch to 30” but as it’s not lace lined, it might stretch out faster.
My breasts seem to currently be average to taller roots, but deflated and shallow, thus making them functionally short, and on the narrow side. Fullness has increased with my growth from last fall, and while I am still center full and full on bottom, I have gained a little bit more upper fullness so that I am a little bit more even than I once was. My tissue is soft and malleable, which can make them a bit deceptive and tricksy at times, as well as pendulous. I need narrow-ish wires, immediate depth and center depth, but less apex depth because the deeper the apex, the less upper tissue I have to fill out the upper portion of the cups. I feel like I am contained in the bra and appreciate the lower gore and soft, stretchy materials. It’s a very comfortable and seems to work with my characteristics and shape.
After trying this one on, I feel like I have to own a few more of th half lace BMs, however I’m still going to try more of the full lace ones to see if my Cabernet is the rogue outlier or not. Read more 738 more words
For the record, the Fuksja does not droop at all compared to my other half lace BMs, not sure why :/. Maybe the tighter band, or slightly smaller cups, but either way, I'm not seeing that issue with my behemoths.
BTW I just checked out the photos and it does look to fit a lot more differently than Cabernet. I do find also I get more rounded look from these bras and to be honest, despite the droop, I find them to be the most comfy as well.
I love my Bezowa perla.. it's very comfy (it's also the best fitting bra I currently own despite the lack of lift)
Maybe because the Fuksja has the reinforced seams with the contrast ribbon?
Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping that maybe it’s just a rogue fit for the Cabernet. Wilderness1 has a similar shape and size to me and the full lace 65FF she just tried was much rounder with less wrinkles than my Cabernet.
This looks gorgeous on you! What a great fit!
Thank you, Sonya! I kinda feel a little princessy in it.
Looks great on you!
Yep it looks good ;)
Calluna do you think the 65 band in your cabernet is too tight (thereby making the lower cup too "shallow" and creating wrinkles)?
I loved my Perla too!!
Wilderness1 I have thought about this before, but both bras seem to have the same stretched measurements, and when I add a row or two more hooks from my extender to the Cabernet, it doesn’t change anything except for feeling loose(r).
This is super gorgeous! So happy you found a great fit.
Love it! I adore half lace BMs BECAUSE they're soooo 50s housewife. I think that's what is so hot about them. I have a pair of the highwaist panties in size 38(M) to match this bra if you'd like to buy them. They're NWT and much more lovely in person than in photos;)

Thanks for the offer but I pretty much have no waist because I am so short and high waist items come up to my rib cage. Which are super annoying. But I appreciate you thinking of me.
It's such a pretty bra! It looks so retro :)
Thanks MissKarma. It’s very beautiful. AprilGoulding do you think that the high waisted panties can be altered to be not high waist?
Well...not easily. They arent really that high..I'll put them on for you later and send you an imgur link.
AprilGoulding I would be curious about the fit as well. I think we have similar body types (super slim hips) and I am interested, but wary, about the high-waisted panties. I am not sure I have enough curve to pull them off
Callunarachaelll They're super cute. I'm thinking of getting a pair in my size. These are a 38 and they're not at all huge (I find size 36 briefs huge). For reference, my hips are 33" and there's no stretch taken up by me in these.
AprilGoulding these are super cute on you! The lace sides make the look work. My hips are 34" and my waist is 25", so I'm a little larger than you. Do you think a 36 would work on me?
rachaelll yup! I think theyll be perfect. I'm going to order 36 too - in red (if Kaska will do my bra with nude lining ;)
AprilGoulding They would be so cute in red. And black.
Hmmm. Interesting. I honestly don’t know if I can pull the high waist briefs off with my shape. Have a look at my Cabernet pics... I have a few pictures of me in coordinating/semi matching underwear from La Senza and it’s clear to see my mid-section tummy pooch and short waist. I think that the ones you have would swallow me up too much.
I wore this again today and was reminded how strange it is that it fits so much like my 65FF Cabernet, except more rounded, and yet it’s a sister size up. The band feels identical in snugness. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s a 3 column vs 4 column clasp. Maybe I ought to close the Cabernet on the 3rd of the 4 hooks and compare. But ultimately, it’s not really worth trying to understand, I think, so long as they both fit, right? Just be thankful that they fit. Lol.
Also, I tried to measure my hips and waist but I don’t know if I measured in the right spots. If I did, my hips were close to 36”, and my waist, being a bit tricky to define, was somewhere in the 25-30” range so I dunno. I have no clue size in Ewas bottoms I would need and no clue if AprilGoulding ‘S 38 high waisted ones would fit.
Calluna you can stop thinking about my panties lol. I had them remade into tiny tangas :P But for future reference - if you wear a large La Senza panty, you need a 38 in Ewa.
I wear small or medium in La Senza but more often than not take the medium in case of shrinking in the wash.
I wear small or medium in La Senza but more often than not take the medium in case of shrinking in the wash.
Calluna I don't find the subtle shape difference too strange--I have a few bras in sister sizes and it frequently makes a little bit of a difference in shape. With some bras, if the cup is molded or does not have a defined apex of its own, the tighter band will make me seem less projected and/or rounder. But here, I think the seams are specially conceived to allow a rounded shape--so what happens is that the 65 being tighter, it stretches everything east-west just a tiny bit more such that the base of the cup is pulled snug and does not allow the breast to settle all the way down in there. Whereas in the 70 band, the boob can settle in there comfortably and round out the bottom half of the cup just as the seaming was designed to allow.
It might have to do with that, but it’s more likely because it’s not reinforced with the tulle lining, so it offers a more relaxed lower cup. But wire width and band measurements are nearly identical, so they should, theoretically, act the same on me, despite being two different sizes.
oh, I thought one band was smaller! Well, who knows then... yes tulle lining maybe!
Both stretched to 29”. The length of Cabernet is 22” and Bibi Bezowa Perla is 22.3”. So nearly the same.
I've gotten round shapes in tulle lined cups. I think moreso it has to do with seam placement, but also the width of the wires.
That's interesting about band stretching to 29 inches, as nearly all of my 70 bands (in FF and G, except for the Fluo in 70G) stretched to 80-83cm. Perhaps yours is an older one from way back when they made the bands tighter? I think my Fluo might be. My 70FF Fluo has a band that also stretches to 80cm and it was made for me when I ordered it. The 70G was made already and one of the last Fluos on site.
brasaremean, interesting that you have a round shape in some tulle lined BMs. I’m thinking that you might be right about the age of the bra. It was in the listings for a few years actually, but I still (after a bit of deliberation) sent the message about it, asking if it was still available. So yes, it’s conceivable that it’s one of the old ones that just had a really tight band. It was in pristine condition when I got it, which suggests it was a brand new one.
Yes Kleks and Rubin in 65GG give me a very round shape right now.
So my thinking is yours is a --lets call it a tight 30 band, and in my experience the cups when sister sizing up or down also don't exactly match so between a F and FF (my 70G cups are about half a cup larger than my 65GG cups). which is about what you came to with the Cabernet as well yeah? That you don't need a cup size down from FF but only slightly less to feel more supported?
But I’m the opposite. My 65FF Cabernet is the one that feels like a half size larger than the 70F Bibi Bezowa. As in, the 70F is the one that feels like it’s a little smaller.
Yes I was just saying sister sizing is inconsistent to the point where the sister size could run half a size up or down.
Right. It’s just odd that they both measure almost the same in every category, to the point that I wonder if they mislabeled the 70F because it matches up so closely.
I ordered this bra from Sam at Broad Lingerie in Toronto over Black Friday. It finally arrived yesterday! She made ordering a custom sized EM bra effortless. I highly recommend her.
I was a bit worried about whether or not this bra about fit because the 60G opium I tried previously was about half a size too small. However - this bra is clearly magical -it fits perfectly. The cup depth and height measurements for this bra are slightly larger than the Opium. I have no idea which one is the outlier and which one is the standard. Regardless I am so relieved that this one fits. ...
This bra fits similarly to the other CHPs I have tried. The band is pleaseantly firm on the first hook. The band is knitwear, not the double layer with lace, so it will likely stretch. I am happy that I went with the 60 instead of the 65 in this model.
The cups are narrow and deep. However the wires feel similar in width to my 65Gs - slightly wider than the 60G Opium. This is not a problem for me, but may be if you need very very narrow wires.
The detachable straps add a little wow factor to the bra. They are very comfortable and totally adjustable. They do not cut into my tissue or gap. I doubt I would wear these anytime other than date night, but it's nice to have the option to transform a daytime bra into a nighttime bra.
The gore is low and very comfortable. It is the perfect width for my average set breasts. But may be a bit wide for those who are very close set.
The straps as always are too wide set. I will alter these by moving them inward 1cm. This alteration greatly improves the comfort of this bra.
In summary, this bra looks like every other black lace and nude knitwear EM bra (yawn). Despite the lack of creativity this bra is totally worth it given its impeccable fit. Read more 234 more words
Now I just have to figure out whether or not this is a 'standard' fitting 60G. There is so much variation in the measurements, it is hard to know whether the Opium or this bra is the outlier.
Ewa's signature consistently inconsistent strikes again! I hope you can easily figure it out. For me, it seems to be a range variant, and I am still trying to figure out what "normal" is. 😖😬😖
MamaPagan 'normal' is overrated in every arena except pricey (custom) bras
This is absolutely gorgeous on you! I could be wrong, but I think the CHP Cappuccino in general runs slightly larger than other styles in the same cut. I had the same experience with the older version when I bought it second hand, and I ended up doing some alterations to make it fit. Feel free to check it out on my profile :)
I do love the beige and black of this. But I would also love to see many other colours. Navy, green, burgundy/crimson, purple, teal....
And I think that it looks great on you!
Yes Calluna! Teal or powder blue lace over a Navy base. I would love a Purple lace over a Green base but Kaśka told me no saying it wouldn't look good....😖.... Honestly it would even be nice to see a pastel pink over a burgundy just to spice things up a bit.
This looks really good on you. I actually ordered the CHP cappuccino at one point because I liked the looks of it, but yeah... fresh colours would look nice. I did notice that it ran larger too. I ordered it in 65FF, and I also ordered the CHP red wine in 65FF. The red wine fit me, but the Cappuccino was too big. I'm sure she used the same design for this bra, so I wouldn't be surprised if this one ran larger too.
Wilderness1 I love the red wine! I wish she still made some of the vibrant coloured CHPs
Out of the three 65J's I got, I felt this one ran large and more along the lines of a 65JJ size, maybe even a 65K as it fits better than my Sofia. I actually loved this more in person than on the website. My one big complaint, but it's a personal thing really, is that the extra fabric they added for the "Longline" part bunches up a little in that space between my tummy and my under-breast area. Strapgate is still going strong. I think it's a good fit, but looking at my photos, I'm running into that slight outerboob escaping on my larger side. Again, not sure if that's to do with the wire not being tall enough or the cup being too small for my large side. All in all, I really like this bra. The materials are so, so soft.
Those super wide straps, so tired of them! This one looks good on you and I don't really see it bunching up in the photos.
Oh me too Sovavosi. Me too. Thank you! I really like it :) And I should have reiterated that while you can't see it in the photos, after a brief amount of time of moving around, the faux band rode up a little.
Really beautiful! I totally agree that it looks much better on you than on the website. The croptop part yet again fits much nicer. They need you and MamaPagan to model it, so everyone would have a better idea of what to expect.
This looks great on you and I agree with veggiechic about the 'longline' part looking much better in these pics than what's advertised.
I'd like to try this one at some point, but my bands always roll up because of my stomach. Brownie is this without the bottom part, correct? I'd just get that one instead.
You are rocking it girl! It looks really good on you, and I agree it fits larger than the others in the same size, which is very much a good thing! :-)
The lace is so soft isn't it? Dreamy.
@VeggieChic haha! Your too funny!
Sovavosi yes I am 99% positive that Brownie is the same lace.
@sovavosi that's what the general consensus was about Brownie. I think I'd like to try it still anyway haha
@mamapagan thanks! And yes it does! It's a fantastic thing! I loved how my bras fit today, especially when I went in with the mentality that nothing was going to fit! It was awesome. And yes! That lace makes me swoon. It's so nice. Truly.
This looks so great on you! Finally got the right size I guess? Congrats on finding the perfect bra.
You look lots more comfy in this than the 65FFs!
brasaremean - SOooooooo much more so. I sold my 65FF Fluo to rachaelll ;) Antonina is just a smidge bigger and tolerable. But definately like 65G more. :)
The half lace BMs are awesome, aren't they? I Loved them.
Onto the next review! I had the chance to wear this bra for a solid 10 hours at home yesterday, which included cleaning up, washing dishes, and also laying on the couch for an extended period of time lol.
Once again, these are mostly first impressions. I've never owned or even tried an SF before this, so I was not expecting how thick the lower three panels would be! They are quite stiff. The upper panel of the folded mesh is comfy and accommodating, but I do find that the edge of the lower sections kind of protrudes a little at the horizontal seam, which is causing the slightly ...pointed appearance. It wasn't super obvious under the shirt I was wearing yesterday (a thick black cotton tshirt), but it may be more obvious under the typically light-coloured summer tops that I plan to wear this under the most.
My most important takeaway of this bra is that it has less immediate projection at the wire than the BM style, and this is the first bra (ever) that I've gotten such significant wrinkling and folding at the wire. I think the stiffened lower cup actually exacerbates the problem. That being said, it was not uncomfortable for me, and I didn't feel like I was getting any additional pressure or compression in the bottom of the cup because of it. This is more of an aesthetic issue than anything else for me. However, if that is a make-or-break fit issue for you, I would be wary of the SF style.
The band on this is also quite firm. It relaxed a bit throughout the day thankfully, but it's nice to have a band that runs on the smaller side rather than the larger side. I may remeasure after it is completely broken in, because when I first measured the stretched band length two days ago, I was shocked to see that it stretched to less than 26". This is probably a product of the fact that this is supposedly the smallest cup volume Ewa will make in a 60 band, compared to MamaPagan, Sovavosi, and many others who require a true 60 band but haven't been getting it because of their larger cup volumes.
In terms of appearance, I like the more nutty beige colour, which is darker than my own skin tone, but still blends well under clothing. It does look pretty velvety to me in real life, and I don't get much of that shiny flashback. Overall, it was very comfortable for me, and I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of use out of it! I experienced a lot of the same issues (esp wrinking at the wire) as you did with the single SF I got. By the end of the day, if I didn't quickly readjust and scoop&swoop, the cups would totally collapse on me.
It is beautiful, and looks really good on you. I hadn't thought about it but yes, the stiff fabric probably does exacerbate the wrinkling. Looking at my notes, the SF does on average have a shorter band than the BM, probably again due to the stiffer fabric. It's good that you pointed that out, I wouldn't have thought to look otherwise. 😀
It's a beautiful nude bra and looks great on you...your wrinkling at the wire(due to lack of projection right at it) is my plague also and the reason I've been avoiding this style. Maybe as the fabric in the lower cup wears and the stiffness disappipates it will allow the breast to sink in and the wrinkles will go away? I'd be interested to know.
AprilGoulding I don't think it does very much. I have some smaller ones that I wore quite a bit and the wrinkle was always there. They were also softer than this model. It's just endemic to the style.
I also get wrinkles in the bottom of the SF.
It's worth noting that Ewa's models do as well. Looking at the stock photos of Princessa specifically, they all wrinkle at the wire.
I think it's an SF issue rather than our issue.
Well then. I guess we know what style I wont be buying;)
Well it looks great on you. Too bad about the minor fit issues, but I hope it still gets lots of wear. Is the bottom lined then? Like thinly padded?
SFs are not padded. But the mesh is very rigid and structured.
Looks great on you! I guess the mesh collapses at the bottom because it comes up so high in the center and doesn't get pulled up by the straps.
I accept the bottom of the cup wrinkling as a unique feature of the style, haha. If I tighten the straps, I can get rid of the wrinkle, but the trade off is usually quadding and strap pain, so I wear those wrinkles proudly. :-D
It looks good on you!
Thank you for the kind words everyone :) I'm so happy this review is helping others decide whether this style would work for them or not!
Beautiful bra but I can see the issues and frustration.
Beautiful bra but I can see the issues and frustration.
*SQUUEEEEE* MY BRA FINALLY ARRIVED AFTER BEING HELD HOSTAGE IN THE POST OFFICE DUE TO BAD WEATHER.
I'm actually in the midst of a size change, and I'm finding that getting a good fit is becoming a challenge. I spoke to a few Bratabase users and read a TON of reviews before I ordered this bra ALLLLLL the way from Australia. (Sometimes paying a bit extra is worth it.)
I have always been leery about the BM cut. It never gave me the rounded shape that everyone swore up and down they gave. I always had a lopsided look. Never uplifted. I spilled out. The straps dug. It was an ...absolute nightmare.
Then I decided to give it another go when I saw that Brava Lingerie had Sofia in stock yet. Yay, since EM sold out quickly, right? Wrong. They only had a cup size up from what I was guessing was my BM size. So I decided to ask around, and I gave it a shot.
I was not disappointed. I get that miraculous rounded look. It's uplifted. It's comfortable. It's.. a well-fitting bra (excusing the strapgate issue). I'm so happy that I decided to try a size up, because it would have been too small had I tried a 65J. My larger side actually might be on the verge of spilling out, whereas my smaller side is dwarfed in the extra fabric depending on the angle. The fabric is nice against my skin, it's not irritated. The one thing I did notice was that the extra bit of fabric that "hangs" off the band rolled up a little. Maybe it's due to a loose band, as I think I might have to go in a set of hooks as the loosest seemed that it could have ridden up? I'm not really sure. I'll keep you all updated.
I can take more pictures for anyone who's interested too. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
So, a little update: I've worn this bra for about 20 hours over the course of two days now, each day at work where I'm constantly moving around. I don't spill out or anything which is fantastic, however, the band was riding up my back on the loosest hooks Day 1. Day 2, I switched to the second set in on the bra. The band is STILL riding up. So, I measured my underbust, and I'm sitting at approximately 27.5 inches right now, so I must have had some of my inflammation go down. Yay, but sad for the bra. Second thing I noticed (which I'm going to add a picture of in a moment), was that the strapgate issue is a real problem with this bra. I'm crossing my fingers that it's not a BM issue itself, but the straps are rubbing my skin raw on my arms when they're not falling off of my tiny frame. I'm so disappointed that Ewa will not address this issue. Read more 381 more words
Frazzleberry right?! I was very nervous. Now I'm nervous for the other BM's I ordered in a 65J 🤦 I agree. It's a very pretty bra :)
It looks spectacular on you!! I wouldn't worry too much about the 65Js though, as Sofia runs a bit smaller (tighter/less flexible upper lace) so the average (regular) BMs in a size down should fit well in comparison. :-)
Thanks MamaPagan! I'm hoping that's the case! My first order of Ewa's shipped on the 30th, so they'll eventually make their way here. Kleks, Rubin, and Topaz are what's coming. I read your Kleks review and I got nervous in all honesty 🤧
Kleks loosened up with wear so it should be fine, too, just give it a few days with some boob tension to soften it up. :-)
My order with Topaz shipped the same day so I'm right there with you in anticipation. I'm figuring 3 weeks due to the holiday mail rush, so around the 21st. That being said, it could be as soon as the 9th or as late as 1/11/19 in all reality. The wait is the worst!!
MamaPagan well that's just fantastic news. Wayyyy back when I was pregnant with my first, I honestly think I may have owned Kleks in a 34KK? I can't recall the exact cup size, but I remember the cups doing that horrible sagging thing BM's used to give me. So, my fingers are crossed.
Woohoo! Bra mail is simply the best! I love it. The waiting is definitely the worst. Eek. I hope it shows sooner rather than later!
It looks beautiful on you!😍 I actually considered getting it from Brava and tailoring it down, but you snagged it up! (No hard feelings)
Aha, too funny! I was bummed they didn't have the J cup, but was stoked to see they had the cup size up. Glad I got it as it worked perfectly. It will be loved dearly here ❤️
Oops! My comment was in reference to your shipping one above. We were typing at the same time, haha!
Looks great! I’m in the same kind of bra anticipation. I ordered a BM for Black Friday and it is delayed by the Canada Post strike backlog. I should have been strong, but I took a look and it’s now delayed 2 more days...that’s a full 7 days from the original date.
Thanks. I told myself that I was not going to check it because every time I do, it is pushed back...but today I caved. And it went from the 12th to the 14th. It will arrive. I know it will, but argh!
Not sure if anyone gets updates when I edit a bra or whatnot, but I added some fit issues for anyone who was curious.
Bummer! I found that after a few months of wearing Ewa bras, I got used to the wider set straps, but at first they were not pleasant at all. Hopefully it will get better for you too.
For the band, it sounds like you need to join us at the 60 band club! We will gladly accept you into our little clan of the bigger busted 60 bands. :-D We welcome the added data for our preplexing puzzle!!
DerangedDragons19 That's just how she sets her straps, unfortunately. The elastic does need time to rest between wearings so it might stretch out faster/more if you wear it every day.
MamaPagan I actually have never had a rubbing issue before. Maybe it's just a combination of the lace and bows? It's weird. And painful. Ick.
I do have 60 bands! :) They're not a terrible fit by any means, but I feel like some of the time with my inflammation, they're too tight. I don't know. Maybe I just feel like that because the cups are too small.
Sovavosi True. It's basically the only bra I own right now that fits though, apart from a Curvy Kate that's really an overall bad fit for me haha. I'll just have to alternate for now :)
DerangedDragons19 Probably the cups are too small. My once fitting bands getting tight is a sign that my cups are getting too small, especially since they fit upside down and backwards :)
It could be DerangedDragons19. If the cups are too small it can make an otherwise good fitting band feel too tight. :-/
Dual typing strikes again Sovavosi, haha. At least we are on the same page with our comments. :-D
@sovavosi @mamapagan Aha, you guys are definitely on the same page :) luckily I ordered some more 60 bands! I ordered them because I knew the bras bands ran loose though.
After a wash the straps soften considerably.
brasaremean I'll give it a whirl and update you accordingly :)
I highly suggest loosening the straps and trying that out. I thought all my bands were too big but the straps just were too short and pulling the band up.
cupandahalf Wouldn't I lose the "high", rounded look? I mean, I can give it a go and see what happens, but I feel like support would be lost.
^^^ this is unfortunately a problem I encounter A LOT because all the straps in the world are too short for me. It looks like the band rides up but really the straps pull it up fiercely.
90% of the support should come from the band so if the boobs droop a ton then the bra has other issues. This year I have had neck issues from wearing my straps too tight, and back issues from having the band super tight to make up for the straps. Once I adjusted the bra my muscle pain went away.
cupandahalf I gave my bra a breather for almost two days (taking sovavosi's advice about not wearing it all the time. My ribcage was crying the entire time I wore my CK bra though 😭) before I gave your advice a try! While loosening the straps seemed to help at least for a couple hours, by the end of my shift, my band was and is riding up my back again. Maybe I do need to go down to a 60 band since my ribcage fluctuates so much? I don't know.
Sovavosi it helps until I move, so I'm going to say no to that option? 🤣
Sovavosi it helps until I move, so I'm going to say no to that option? 🤣
Doh! Sorry 🙁
Wow! That rixie clip thingy looks amazeballs! I'm going to have to get one! :)
Rixie clips ARE amazing! Can vouch for them :)
And that's okay! It's about my time of the month, so I think my breasts are just temporarily growing a smidge, which might explain why the bra isn't tacking as well?
Sounds like the band is too loose, straps were too tight, and cups are too small for your current boobage. I would get a 65JJ and 60K- one for when you have swelling and one for normal times.
cupandahalf my problem is now whether I want to cater to my larger breast or to my smaller breast and deal with the non-tacking issue. While lengthing the straps helped tenfold it seemed, my smaller breast was drowning in fabric. I agree with your assessment, but I also feel like, at least for now, I can deal with a non-tacking issue more than I can deal with an extra nearly 2 cup-sizes of fabric on my smaller side, you know?
From experience... fit the larger breast.
DerangedDragons19 I’m like 2 cups different on my smaller side too. I just tighten the strap more. I can’t really see it under shirts anyhow.
Hm. Alright. Thanks, guys!
I mean you do you but my #1 at this point is comfort, not fit.
I got this and the BM Fluo as a part exchange for my SM Tattoo, and after that fiasco I was a little nervous to try another SM. But given how my kusidelko fit prior to losing sizes in 2016, and it was all mesh like this one instead of the embroidered lace of Tattoo, I decided to give it a go again cause the girly pink appeal of Roza is irresistible.
I tried on jlc’s 65F Roza prior to ordering this & surprisingly found it too tight in both the band and cup. Ewas bands are killing me lately, with such inconsistency I’ve decided to go with ...70s in all future orders from her even though I should in no way *need* a 70 band - I can handle loose better than too tight. At the last minute I changed this order to a 70F... and this is what I got. This band is loose (go figure) and the cups are about 1/2 cup too big, especially on my smaller side and even more so when I’m not PMS-ing. I’m starting to think it was the too tight band on the 65 making the cups feel too small. I ordered a 70E in the Ja Wiem during the BF sale, so I guess I’ll find out.
I’m happy to report the shape is not pointy though, it’s the rounded and somewhat minimized SM shape I remembered. This bra is a workhorse under my scrubs and when I’m PMS-ing. The wires are a bit wide in this size but otherwise I don’t have much complaints. It is comfortable & the lace & satin trim speaks to my inner girly girl. Read more 174 more words
How did the BM Fluo fit? I would love to try one and think we are around the same size.
This pink looks spectacular on you!
rachaelll Fluo fits much better. I got a 65F - the band only stretches to 27” so I need an extender but the cups are good. I’ll write more about it and it’s comparison to SM, as well as the BM Mojito I had that was enormous on me, when I review it.
lcl0706 Thanks! It's so hard to find information about the BM cut in smaller sizes. I really appreciate all the detailed fit notes. If you are ever looking to swap either BM - I would be very interested to try them.
rachaelll I just ordered a BM Fluo in 65FF...let's see if it fits me. Otherwise, I might be able to offer it to you ;)
AprilGoulding Fluo runs very tight in the band. Just a heads up.
brasaremean Thanks!! I'm curious to see and about to find out...my Curvy Kate 65's are too loose already and my custom from Ellesmere is a 60. Measuring tape reads underbust at 30", but I tend to like 'em snug (Masochist? LOL)
I like them snug too! My 70 feels closer to a 65 than 70 and on days I need to feel more 'secure' it's my go-to!
I used to want everything snug. When I first found bras that fit I went for 28s. With a snug UB of 27-28, I could easily do most 28s & all 30s. Plus I also wore a 28G or 30FF.
Now I can't stand them tight. I shrank a lot in 2016 down to a 30E and now I'm a 30F and idk if I'm just more sensitive or whatever, but I cannot stand tight bands. I prefer bands to stretch to 29-30.5 and with Ewa I just don't get that consistently in her 65s and I'm tired of putting extenders on everything.
Lol, me too lcl0706 I used to have a snug measure of 26", but now even though my rib seams to have shrunk a bit and my bust has grown a cup or two, I now prefer a 27" snug.
And that's why we have 3 underbust measurements we typically take AprilGoulding one that is so tight we call it "break the measure tape tight," where we exhale all breath and pull the measure tape as tight as it will go, then the snug measure where you pull the tape as snug as you would like your bra, and then the loose measure, which is essentially just wrapping it around you ribcage just firm enough to keep it from falling. I can get a good 29" maybe 30" inches doing the measure tape loosely, but I definitely prefer it around 27". I also found that I was taking my rib measurement incorrectly for a very long time, I never could get it parallel around my torso, it would always be too low or too high in the back resulting in a too large measurement. If I recall correctly you got measured by the lovely owner of Ellesmere right? She probably got a snug measurement of around 26" since you're wearing a 60 (or her bands a super stretchy). Most women with a larger bust enjoy a smaller band anyhow!
Are you ready for another alterations saga?! I bought this bra used from someone on reddit.com/r/braswap, and I have no clue how long this person had it, but the band's mesh near the hook and eye tape on each side was showing some wear and stretching. When I received this bra and tried it on for the first time, as you'll be able to see in the first two sets of photos (I wrote in my captions which pics are before/after alterations, etc.), the bra was overall too big for me. I also own the CHP Marcepanowa Magnolia and CHP Brzoskwinka in 60FF, and both fit ...similarly to each other, but the Brzoskwinka doesn't have cookie pockets. The Cappuccino fit larger than both of these, at least in its well-loved state. So upon my first try-on of the Cappuccino, the band was far too large, and the cups were far too large, which was not remedied as much as I had hoped when I inserted the foam pads. The straps were also extremely wide set in the front, and were rubbing the front of my armpits, which normally isn't much of an issue for me. I knew what needed to be done; I had to take in a large chunk of the band, and I had to move the straps inward.
I dealt with the band first, because I wanted to see how much, if at all, it would affect the fit of the cups and lessen the gaping that was happening. But rather than just removing the hook and eye tapes and chopping off the outermost portion of the band and reattaching, I wanted to try to move the whole strap attachment inward as well so that the band would maintain the same angle (I found that by just chopping off the outside of the band and reattaching the hook and eye tapes, such as I did with my Periwinkle Marcie and my Aqua Lily both in 30E, the bands ended up with an angle that made them feel like they were riding up). So, I marked in chalk where I wanted to move everything to (I moved everything inward by about 1" on each side), and then I started ripping out all the seams. Once the hook tape and the strap attachment elastic were removed, I resewed the strap attachment with that segmented zigzag stitch to its new position (I was trying to replicate the original stitching as much as possible), then I threaded the top of the elastic back through the strap like normal, folded it down on the inside of the band and sewed it shut. I trimmed off the excess mesh on the outside, which got rid of most of the worn out mesh, and then reattached the hook tape as normal. I didn't even bother to try and reattach the tag. Then I repeated the same process on the eye tape side, and held my breath.
I tried it on again, and thankfully, the band now fits wonderfully for me. The altered band measures 20.5" resting, and 26.5" stretched. However, the cups were still gaping, and the straps were still cutting into me. I had recently seen a picture of someone who moved the straps in on their bra, not permanently, but reversibly. So I used their method of folding the strap behind the cup and kind of over itself so it creates a "V" shape on the inside of the cup, and it both moves the strap inward and also folds down a portion of the outside of the cup and makes it slightly lower. So I did this for both straps, and lo and behold, this turned out to be the ideal solution for my problem! The more central position of the straps now eliminates the gaping and makes the cups sit flush to my body, and also lowers the outside of the cups slightly, so there's no more rubbing and chafing! YAY! I just had to loosen the straps slightly because I essentially shortened the front of the straps. (And I only realized that the straps are now slightly uneven when I uploaded my photos and looked at them, but I don't care! It worked like a charm.)
It took me probably 1.5-2 hours yesterday, but I wanted to make sure I was taking my time to measure properly and test the stitches on a scrap piece of fabric to make sure they were the right length and width to be accurate to the original stitching. Overall, I'd say this experiment was a resounding success, and I am extremely happy with how it turned out. Read more 665 more words
Wow! That looks great! Thank you for taking the time to write up what you did and to take photos.
That's amazing! I can't believe the transformation in fit just with those alterations! FWIW, I ordered a chp capuccino a couple years back and found that it fit large compared to other bras in the same size. Glad this one fits you now!
Sovavosi Thank you, and you're very welcome! :) Wilderness1 I'm also stunned with the transformation! I'm super happy that my taking a chance paid off.
Excellent job on alterations! Looks great afterwards!
Gorgeous! Great work!
Nice work! I had to alter my Chp Capucchino as well in terms of band and strap placement. Maybe this one uses a different pattern than the newer chps?
Thank you all! Noob As far as I know, Ewa probably still uses the original pattern for this bra, which is quite old at this point. It's one of the few bras I remember being available from when I first discovered her brand, which was probably 2013 ish? So I'm not surprised to hear that it has fit differently from the other CHP's for multiple people.
That is so impressive! And it looks gorgeous on you. :)
Well done! I have zero sewing skills myself, but I have thought about alterations on some of my bras before, but with the help from someone who knows what to do. Congratulations for a successful alteration!
This is amazing! The changes on fit are really impressive. I need to learn your alteration method
Ewa is always making the same bra over and over again. Beige (sometimes other coloured) cups with black lace over it, and a black band. And unfortunately, I keep falling for her tricks! I now own Magqiue, Cappacino, Noir, Famme Fatale.. just to name a few. The fit of this bra is comparable to other EM bras of this cut and size. The band is nice and firm, it is quite tight as a "30", would be better on someone who is a "28". I can get away with wearing this one without altering the band on the tighter hooks currently as a 26 which prefers ...looser bands. The gore is on the slightly shorter side of Chp bras in this size. I usually see them 2.0-2.6 inches. At 2.3, it is still fairly comfortable and wearable for my close set breasts, but too high to give any cleavage on me. I may need to narrow the gore in the future, but so far I've only tried on the bra and it felt ok. The cups are pretty open, but not as open as cups without any sort of edging. The straps placement is typical as well. It is a little too far apart for my frame, but should suit someone built with a little larger just fine, as the size was intended for. The right strap is actually sewn like 1mm farther than the left one, but that one is my smaller breast, causing gaping if I slouch. I will definitely be moving in the straps a little bit, maybe 3-4mm for comfort while maintaining as much of the same fit as possible. Overall, I really do like this bra! It's utterly gorgeous, gives great lift. If you are considering getting a Polish bra, the Chp Oksana would be a great choice if you need open cups, vertical seams, and around 28F in UK size. I got this bra on clearance from Zathiya. I had not owned an SM since I wore a 70J, but for a clearance price, I had to try.
It is much less open on top than my last SM, but it fits fairly well. The band was noticeably tighter than the older 32JJ Jasmine I had just been wearing, and the straps quite stretchy. Band and straps are really soft material! I havent shown hubby yet, but sheer is always a pretty nice look, I think!
It is basically a nude for me, but the satin strips can still be seen through a shirt. So not a great nude, really.
I was feeling crazy for considering ordering another 75KK FB, but seeing that this doesnt quite support my larger breast correctly (a little bulge out of the side, and folding at the bottom), I realize I am actually a 75KK in Ewas. Tho I cant still fit a few of my 32JJ panache. I feel like her sizing veers off here a bit from Panache.
I love the commentary with the underside photo. The sheer cups do show those details so much better!
You'd experience so much more lift if that pesky wire would fit. Darn. Love the sheer pink on you!
You mean if the wire was more straight-across? But the cups are also not deep enough or immediate enough.
It looks like you need more depth at the bottom--more fabric.
Why does the lack of depth at the bottom make the breasts fold up?
The breast tissue pushes the wire down as it searches for more space further up in the cup. My theory ;-)
my boob is being squished. I have really super long, hanging boobs, which are pretty much full all over when supported. I mean, they are really omega shaped - the root is smaller than the fullest part of the breast. Most bras arent designed for that, but my FB and my panache tangos have a lot more volume in the cup all around.
idk, all I know is, when a bra really supports the bottom of my breast, coming straight out from my torso, I find that just awesome - but most bras my boobs have to fold somewhat to fit in
Mine fold too. It’s partially the omega shape. My best bras are actually gathered at the bottom to allow more room at the wire.
FWIW, I found this bra to be more closed on top than other SMs in smaller sizes as well. I tried one on from another user here before ordering it from Ewa in my last order along with the Fluo. I chose to size up in it based on how hers fit me.
I currently have 2 75 J BMs that fit ok, a 75JJ SF that fits ok, a 75K S that fits ok and a 75KK S thats too big (mostly too tall), but the 75KK FB is my best fit.
So this 75K just seemed like a likely thing. but yeah, if it was very open and tall, it would've been too big - which is the thing w my 70KK - Ewa Michalak » S Rokoko
I guess I could review this since I've had it a year now lol. I've been so slow with reviews. I wish Ewa still made this cut. It feels like an S/PL hybrid - mostly S, but with a lower gore like PL which is basically the best of both worlds for me. I like the simplistic navy design without the enormous bows, lace, sparkles, etc... a lot of Ewa's recent bras are all starting to look the same, in various shades of dark with lace or beige with lace (although that didn't stop me from buying 3 of them during her last new ...release sale haha). There's not a lot to say about this bra that hasn't already been said about most Ewa bras - it's narrow, good immediate projection, nice lift, rounded shape with a subtle peak. Classic Ewa. The cups are somewhat closed off, more so than a CHP. I'm at least the second owner - worth noting this bra has been worn regularly now for likely several years and is showing very few signs of wear. This is definitely a projected, centered profile, good for taking the girls out on the town, not good if you're trying to avoid the boob tent look under flowy shirts. I like it. I wear it a lot, sans cookies as always. Read more 125 more words
Thanks for your review....I've wondered how you felt about it :-) Looks supportive and comfortable.
It’s a great bra and wish I hadn’t one for myself after trying this one. At least I know that I should have moderate success with the related styles. Thanks for sharing it with me.
This bra is beautiful and wonderfully soft. Band is snug for a 65 (more like a 28 than a 30), and I'd say the cups are slightly large for a 65F. It's slightly too small on my larger side, but still comfy and supportive. It is definitely wearable, and if I lose a few pounds, it will be perfect. This would work as a nude if you are very fair with a cool skin tone. I get a great lifted shape with this bra. My breasts are narrow and short-rooted, centre and bottom-full, and very soft.
I guess that was initally my bra :) It looks great on you! Im planning to reorder it in 70E as loved the colour!
Thanks, martka00. LOL- it probably was yours. I traded with animated for it. I love how this community makes sure that great bras get used. :)
yup! that sounds right :) I knew its mine as it was very tight as for size 65 :) im glad it found forever home!
C'est beau! I think the shirt takes away from just how beautiful the bra is. Lol. :-P And it is nice to read that someone's "not quite right" bra made it's way to it's forever home! martka00 is a bra connoisseur, she has quite the collection of lovely bras! ^.^
Hahah LeProfessor thanks :D but sometimes I feel so bad about my bras collection... I have like 50 hanging in my wardrobe... I think how much money I could get by just selling them and after 5 mins I’m on Ewa/Comexim website thinking which other bra would be good for me :D I think it’s better to have bra addiction that drugs, cigarettes or alcohol. At least I’m not harming my health! (Only wallet)
My shape is short and narrow rooted, soft, and low set. Pictures have cookies in.
This bra is gorgeous! It has a pretty black lace that overlays a deep purple (magenta) background cup. The center gore has a nice matching purple bow, and the straps are covered with a nice dark magenta material that accents everything well. The lace wraps around all the way to the back of the bra.
The insides of the cups are cotton, as usual, which is lovely and soft. The inside of the cups have full cookies that cover most of the inside of the bra, up to the upper seam anyways. This style of ...cookie creates a much more natual looking lift and it doesn't distort the cups as much as the chp opium and chp oksana cookies do. They are also way easier to put in, as the pocket opens to the outside instead of to the inside of the cup.
The straps are not as stretchy as the other models I've tried (opium, cappuccino, oksana). They are fully adjustable, but I have them almost adjusted all the way out on my long frame. They are hard to adjust too, man oh man.
The shape is uplifted but pointier than the chp. I'm guessing this will round out a bit with wear. The cups are taller than the chp also. However, even though I have short roots, this bra encloses my breasts without gaping, whereas I get a bit of upper cup gaping in the 65F chp.
Overall excellent quality and a beautiful bra.
edited to add: the band on this bra is pretty firm. I measured 70.5 to from the hook to the eye while pulling until wires started to distort. Read more 180 more words
Dang you got this fast considering it was just released! Jealous. This is the exact bra I want, in this size, when I get the spare change.
lcl0706 I ordered it around October 11th, and they sent it via DHL, so it arrived in 7 days. DHL delivery cost me $100 dollars though (unintentionally... in extra charges, fees, etc). Hope you're able to get yours! It's really beautiful in person.
so beautiful
That is one seriously gorgeous bra.
This is one that I am really interested in, though judging from the stretched measurements, I'm pretty sure that I would need at least a 70 band. It's soooo pretty!!
Calluna, yes the band is not stretchy in this one at all... maybe because the lace goes all the way around? I'm not sure, but it's snug.
So... I think my life just changed forever. My 34J breasts are very soft, FOB, with lots of immediate projection and (I think) narrow roots. This is my first Polish bra. Everything about it is perfect. My breasts look round and up-front, yet somehow seem slightly minimized. No quadding. The wires are staying in my IMF (a first!), and the wire ends aren't stabbing me under the arm. Nothing hurts!
For me, the lace and seams are smooth enough that the SM Triumpf can serve as a T-shirt bra, but your mileage may vary.
For reference, *everything else* stabs my underarms, especially Cleo Lucy & similar... I have permanent darker coloration where wire ends have scarred me. The wires of Panache Jasmine, Envy, and Clara end up two full inches below my IMF within an hour. Curvy Kate's Ellace gives me horrifying in-cup quadding due to my soft tissue. Until today, my best fit was Cleo Hettie in 34J.
Huh. Jasmine stays in my IMF better than Ewas - I also only tried 1 SF - its a little small, but still sort of fits. But i'm glad you found something! Remember, most of us go up a size when ordering her lined styles (PL and S), because the lining takes up space (but is cotton, so comfy!). I also find I have to go up a cup size in the SF line. BM is one of my easiest ewa fits - i'm wearing one now!
Now I want to stock up on Ewa Michalak SM bras, but I've seen a number of posts suggesting that the Triumf runs larger in the cups than Ewa's other SMs. Do folks here think I ought to go for a 34JJ if I purchase Kankan or Czarna Mgiełka? wendybienBronteBeachelkie33dbmamaz
Your description of your boobs and soft tissue issues are exactly the same as mine (esp Ellace). I'm dying to try Ewa 😀 Is Hettie in your size lined throughout the cup? I get in cup quad like crazy but I think it's the single layer lace in 28F. Congrats on the fit success!
I haven't tried any sm in ages, as the cut doesn't fit me at all sorry :( Maybe order both and send one back?
How wonderful you found this bra! The feeling when you discover your first well fitting bra is like nothing else! Anna, one of the contributors at mafortepoitrine.com, also found an unlined Ewa Michalak bra works as a nude-for-her. She is in a different size range, though, 70E. In her case, it was a BM Apricot. It resembles your SM Triumf. I mention this in case you want to try one of Ewa's BM cuts.
Yep. The double-layer isn't as pretty, but it does prevent the in-cup quad. I think the layer of mesh behind the lace is for GG+ in any band size. It looks like this: http://bra.pe/If62/ Sorry it doesn't work for you. :(
boxnut Yes, that's exactly what I wish they had in my size. I think it would mostly prevent or at least mitigate the in-cup quad. I still get it in a lot of bras, but I can usually tuck the lace here or there to stop it as long as it's not too thin and stretchy.
I know this bra provokes many opposite reactions. I am one of those who yielded to its charm as soon as I saw the pictures. I liked the bright red colour, contrasting black trims and ruffles. In terms of fit, I thought it would be similar to the “Ja wiem” but it’s slightly different and overall better fit for me. There are some “technical” differences between Pikanteria and Ja(Ty) wiem(sz). This bra features regular, fully adjustable straps, without the double straps in the back. The front strap sliders aren’t embellished with rhinestones. The ribbon on the cup edge is replaced by ruffle trims. The Ja wiem run a little bit ...smaller in the cups than other SMs I own and so does the Pikanteria. The cups are also a little bit lower. I think the cups here run even smaller than in Ja wiem but it can barely be seem thanks to the ruffles. I’m not sure if sizing up would help without cutting my arms off. Even though the cups are a little small, I do prefer the shape they give compared to Ja wiem. I don’t have empty space in the bottom of the cups unlike in the Ja wiem, probably because they are more projected or because of a softer mesh, I don’t know. It results in a rounder shape and better comfort. Read more 116 more words
This bra looks stunning on you! That colour, in 'real life', is so beautiful! When I first saw the release of this bra I was on the fence about it, but your pictures and review completely changed my opinion towards seeing how gorgeous this really is. Lovely.
So cute!!!! Glad the fit is even better than Ja Wiem. :-)
This looks way better on you than in the stock photos. Really gorgeous.
Thank you ! The colour on my pics is pretty true, I didn't expect it to be so bright. The only snag is I can't wear it under all clothes because of the ruffles.
Box of happines arrived *_* I got 4 new EMs and 2 pair of panties. Someone mentioned before that this bra looks like granny's curtains - and yeah, it does! Im not really a fan of this print but.. The band when I was measuring seemes to be snug, however when on, stretches beautifully and is not as snug as my 70DD - Ewa Michalak » Bm Chaberek Straps, as in all my BMs are perfect - fully adjustable and fits my narrow frame. The wires are great 12.7cm, very comfy when the bra is on The cup depth is really great. Theres no quadding or empty space. Tajemniczy fits me same as 65F - Ewa Michalak » Bm Szmaragd (794) so im very pleased with it and definietly going to keep it! It doesnt work as a nude unfortunately, but under beige or pinkish top it would work definitely!
I'd love it as a CHP, do you think they'll do that if I ask them to? I seem to recall Ewa does not do alterations much.
Charlotteke she may do it as shes done before Mietusek BM in chp for someone :)

This looks really cute in your pictures! :) I love those flowers and the lace under the band.
I can't wait to receive mine. I'm glad to hear the band runs snug.
gratiat if you ordered 70 that should be okay but if you went for 65 i wouldn't be surprise if it will be too tight coz this is 2nd bm with tight band that I got in 70 band. OnlyBrad tts band
I meant only Szmaragd had tts band
martka00 that's good to hear! How does one go about asking Ewa for alterations, via email? Can I do it in English?
Yup, email or Facebook would work :) she does speak English :)
Charlotteke Some of us have already asked and she won't do this one as a padded bra. But ask her anyway, because she usually changes her mind and report back, please!
I wouldn't mind this as a PL myself...
O, that's a shame. I'll ask anyway... Would she consider doing it as an SM?
You have to ask :) it's only up to her
I asked about making this Into an SM, and the answer was that BM fabrics generally can't be used to make an SM since SM uses single layer non-stretch fabrics and BM uses stretch fabrics doubled for support. Martka00, good to hear this fits like Szmaragd! I have one on order and Szmaragd is the other BM I've tried, which fit me quite well.
That looks so cute! Love the butterfly details
