Technically I can wear this bra just fine, but the cup is a bit too deep for me. So I have to overcompensate for this by tightening the straps too far and wear the band on a tighter hook to provide more "structure/tension/lift." This makes it not super comfortable. And even then, it projects my breasts forward so much without pushing them toward my chest almost at all, so that they look quite a bit larger than they are. Would likely fit better in a cup down.
My shape: FOB, projected with soft tissue and narrow shoulders I love the really deep brown color of this bra! It really is like a brownie, with a little raspberry colored bow (that's rather large honestly, but not annoyingly so) at the gore. This fits me perfectly, though the band feels slightly less snug than my other Ewas. Not a problem; I just wear it on a tighter hook after it's been worn a day. It feels like the cups are a little higher on this model, too, and that the lace is maybe stretcher than other colors? It feels like a tad bigger overall, but not so much that it doesn't fit me.
I love this bra so much. It's a plunge, and it fits me. I've always had terrible luck with plunges and used to avoid them, but this one is just so comfortable and perfect. My only complaint about the fit is that I wish the band was tighter because I've lost weight since I bought it. The tops of my areolas kind of peek through the top, so I guess maybe the cups are a tiny bit small, too. I'd love to try a 65GG and a 65H to see if they fit even better!
The fabric it is made of is delicate. It attracts lint, which stubbornly sticks to it. The lacy parts pull easily. Maybe it's just me, but although I love pretty, lacy bras, I can't seem to keep them looking nice and non-pulled, even though I always hand wash them.
Bought this bra used here on bratabase. It's my first Ewa bra and I see why these are so popular. The bra itself is in okay/good condition, but the lace at the top of the cup is stretched out. Gives an odd indent at the cup seam. This is an older bra and I was warned that the band has more stretch than is currently made. Still worth $10 to try for size and fit. I may take a dart in the lace to make it more wearable.
The wires are nice and narrow, the straps seem to stay on my shoulders, although they are right on the edge. (It doesn't hurt that I have square shoulders, though they are narrow.) Enough projection, for sure, and a nice round shape. Gore is lower than I'd prefer, but I don't think I'll spill out. Wings low and don't poke. What's not to love? Other than it being stretched.
I've ordered a new one of these from Levana, so will review that when it arrives.
My shape: FOB, soft tissue, projected, narrow roots and shoulders I received this bra from another user here as a swap. This appears to me an older model version of the Bibi Pearl, since the tag says "Effuniak" instead of "Ewa Michalak." There is pilling on the stretch lace of the cups, and the band is a lot stretchier than my newer version of this bra. Some threads along the bottom elastic are pulled, as well, but other than that, it's still in wearable condition. This fits me everywhere but the top; the lace has been stretched a bit too much, so it doesn't offer the same support.
Incoming long review! I ordered this bra and a BM Apricot from Levana Bratique on a Friday and received them the following Monday, so holy moly, fast shipping! (Levana is based in the US and she has quite a few different Ewa Michalak bras for sale. If you are in the US and interested in trying any of them, this is a good alternative to ordering directly from Poland. I think, based on the shipping and fees charged when you order directly from Ewa Michalak's website, the bras come out to cost only a few dollars more when you order from Levana Bratique, but you get them in only ...a couple days. For me, it was worth the slight extra cost. Plus, if they don't fit, it's a lot cheaper and easier to return.) I didn't see this particular style here on Bratabase, so I added it! Levana calls it the "Fairy Bra." My fit: soft tissue, FOB, narrow roots, splayed I think? Appearance: For a beige bra, this is very pretty. It's got a little gemstone underneath the bow at the gore, which is a cute touch. The tops of the cup are a stretchy lace lined with soft white mesh inside, and the bottoms are satin, lined with a stiffer fabric in white, as well. The straps are really soft! I tend to have issues with stiffer straps, so I appreciate how stretchy and soft these ones are. Fit: Ewa Michalak straps are too wide set for my narrow shoulders, so I just automatically assume I'm going to have to alter them myself as soon as I get them. This one is no different. It feels a little stretchier/looser than the other SF style I have (Pin-Up) but that is probably the fabric and not the design.
After going on a crazy Ewa spending spree, I realized that I don't have a beige bra to wear under white shirts! I ordered this one from Levana Bratique; it came very quickly, which was awesome. (Ordered it on a Thursday and it came the following Monday, through USPS first class. I was pretty impressed!) Unfortunately, though it fits in the band and the gore, just like the other SF styles I have, the top of the cup didn't lay flat on my chest. I had a feeling the double layer of tulle would do that, but I wanted to test it out, just in case. I'm going ...to return this for a different BM or SF style in a beige color (probably the Apricot, since I have pale skin) with the stretch lace tops, since I have a lot of success with those styles. Other than my personal fit issues, the bra is quite lovely! It's a plain, elegant sort of beige bra, with little button details on the top of the straps and on the gore. It's well made, like all Ewa bras, and quite comfortable. I don't know if the tulle fabric along the top edge of the cup is what makes it so, but the cups seems slightly bigger. (I had gaping at the top.) Read more 110 more words
Lemme preface this by saying: wow, Ewa Michalak orders are so much faster than Comexims! I placed an order around mid-April, and received my package today, May 11. I wasn't expecting to get my bras until early to mid June! So that was certainly a pleasant surprise! Naturally, I ran to the bathroom to try both of my new bras on. (I ordered this Pin-Up and the new BM Fluo) I can already tell I'm going to have to do the strap placement adjustment on this SF; the fabric is digging into my armpit boob area. (I successfully completed that particular surgery on a used BM Kleks I purchased ...here a few months ago, and the fit is PERFECT after that. Thankfully, I have a sewing machine and some basic sewing skills, so I can do that pretty easily!) But WOW, other than that, this bra is so friggin adorable! It fits super well, the gore tacks, the band is nice and firm! I just feel like a fancy 50's lady wearing this cute bra. I really love the polka dots and lace together. The "padding" isn't really padding so much as an extra layer of stiff fabric on the bottom part of the cup. It really feels like wearing a BM style bra, but the extra fabric helps cover the nipples a bit better. It isn't uncomfortable or itchy or anything. The top part of the cup has the soft lace with a thin fabric mesh underneath it. It lays atop my breasts nicely and doesn't cut in or quad them out at all. I'll edit my review once I perform my strap surgery! Wish me luck!
I am keeping this bra (for now) because it works. I love Ewa bras. The cups are a little too wide and a little too big (can't quite fill either side). On my smaller side, the strap is cinched as short as it will go and it's ok. A 70FF might be worth a try.
I'm not sure that Ewa bras are for me, or at least the couple I've tried aren't. (Granted, I've only tried two now, but still...) I don't want to order them directly, since they are so expensive, so it's hard to figure out if they are for me or not! Anyways, I bought this from another Bratabase user so I could try out an unpadded Ewa. The bra itself is really cute, and a nice HOT pink color with little orange bow details. I've had a lot of luck with Comexim unpadded bras, but the fit was super odd on me with this Ewa. The wires are narrower than ...I am used to, which is fine, and the band was nice and tight. But the cups are where it went sort of wonky for me. The top of the cups are pretty high, and since there's no elastic to hold the lace to the top of my breasts, there were gaps/wrinkles. It didn't feel like I was going to pop out of the top, though. The other odd part was the bottom: my breasts were so squished on the bottom, it made them have a weird shape. It was like there was TOO much space at the top and not enough at the bottom. I was really hoping this would work for me. Oh well! I will just keep looking. Read more 120 more words
The SM is very shallow at the bottom and open at the top to give a push-up shape without padding.
The BM styles have more depth in the bottom of the cup from my own experience, and I would assume the same for your size range, but check some reviews to make sure.
I... am embarrassed to reveal I had no idea what any of the letters in front of the Ewa Michalak bras meant. So those are shorthand for the different styles of bras she offers? *mind blown* Now to figure out what the heck one will work best for me!!
mandapandarawks Yup! It's okay, the letters aren't super obvious for what they represent. The cuts made for smaller busts are the 3DM, 3D, and M (the former is unlined; the latter two are padded plunges). In the middle and largest size range you've got the S and SM (padded and unlined balconettes, respectively), the BM and SF (both unlined balconettes, but the SF is "reinforced" whereas the BMs have stretch lace either just on top or all over), the PL (a true padded plunge), and two padded halfcups, the CH and CHP (the latter is a more sweetheart neckline and slightly lower gore). In the biggest size range is the FB, an unlined balconette. Hope that helps!
Oh man, that helps so much. Thanks for taking the time to explain that! Very helpful! I love how helpful everyone here is!
The shape and size here are really good. It's a similar shape to my BM Kleks - even-full, very deep - but less comfortable because it's just a single layer of lace (not mesh-lined). It's a good sexy bra because the nipples are visible.
This fits really well and keeps my boobs more secure than most plunges! There is still a slightly precarious feeling in the center, as I have very soft tissue. Any plunge is going to have some weird warping in the middle (the part where there's no direct support.) This is also on the edge of quadding, but it still fits for now (and my PL in 70GG is still way too big). Like all Ewa's I've tried, this is oh-so-comfortable and beautiful with a strong, structured body and delicate lace overlay.
This well-made bra has a lot of lower projection which I find very comfortable. The bra is modestly padded, and has removable cookies. I purchased this used on eBay and the bra arrived with only one cookie but the bra fits well without it. For those with asymmetry it's wonderful to have the option to use an insert. The satin trim against lace is very pretty. Compared to my Fauve Emmanuelle padded half cup, the EM is more comfortable, but I'm less fond of the shape under clothing - it makes my breasts look very slightly smooshed from the side. After several wears ...I think this is because the bra is expecting to support slightly more voluminous breasts (I typically fit 32F and this EM is two cups larger). If I find another on a good sale I'll buy another EM in a heartbeat! The biggest discovery this bra has helped me make is that the underwire shape size and height is about perfect - perhaps only a couple centimeters too wide. By the end of long day this is evident from the impression left in my IFM. Read more 87 more words
I was so excited to finally get this 'dream bra'! It matches my expectations in a number of ways. It's purple, a deep blue-toned purple, like darkest lilacs. It's satiny-silky; almost iridescent. Subtle but intriguing round lace trim with blue highlights are the Peacock's Eye of the name. The outer fabric is oddly generous, there is quite a bit of wrinkling in it which smooths down under clothing. It's a CHP, my best shape for lift and immediate projection. The band is not too tight - in fact, the bra is used enough that the band, for a 70, stretches so much I'm on the 3rd set ...of hooks immediately (may have to take in the band) but right now is comfy & still supportive. Where it missed on 'perfect dream' is that the straps are way too wide-set even for my broad shoulders. And it is too large in the cups, lots of extra room in the top. My best EM's are F/FF so I guess my lack of top fullness has been offset by the smaller size compressing and lifting my breasts! I pretty much fixed the strap and extra room at the top problems with a single simple alteration: the 'fold & sew' strap adjustment that I read about here. What a difference - I can now say it fits with a good scoop & swoop! (It has cookie pockets but came to me without cookies; adding them helps). Moving the straps in about an inch pulled the top of the cup tauter, got the straps out of my armpits, and does not seem to have any ill effect on the fit or shape. Read more 171 more words
Love the S style - it's comfortable, uplifting, and sexy. I just wish that I'd ordered it in a 60 when EM still allowed customizations for that size. The band is stretchy, so I have to wear it on the tightest hooks. I much prefer it over the PL style.
I enjoy the fit of the bra. I get lift and support without spilling out. I find the shape quite different than what I prefer/am used to. I have tried the SM style, I get a very natural shape which I quite like. I have tried the PL, but the cups cut in a odd angles for me.
I would love this bra if I got a more rounded side profile from the bra.
This is a very pretty bra, however, it isn't the right shape for me. Wires are too narrow for sure. I'm not sure that EM is my brand. I didn't try it with the asymmetry pads because I don't have them. Howeve, I'm not sure they would have helped the fact that the wires keep slipping.
The SM is very shallow at the bottom and open at the top to give a push-up shape without padding.
