What can I say? I've been buying this bra for 10 years (in multiple band and back sizes). It's a staple - even if it isn't very exciting. Gives an entirely round look that's invisible under thin t-shirts. It's pretty comfortable. I have very deep breasts (and specifically immediate centre projection) and no molded bra is optimal for this shape. Mind you, this one does a better job than any other. The gore tacks (if not tightly.
I love the form and the fact that you can wear this bikini top multiple ways - its straps are detachable at the back. When I put it on dry I have slight quadraboob effect but it is not a problem when wet. I find that when I have the straps crossed in the back it is not very supportive but it is not a problem when tied behind the neck. All in all a good purchase.
This is going to sound very contrary, but here goes. I am not a huge fan of the look of my breasts in this bra - just very plain. However, it is one of my everyday bras because of how comfortable it is - I have one in both tan and black. I had to get a different size in the black (32FF) than I got in the tan (32G) for them to work out.
Have tried Fantasie plunge without side support too --the plunge on this one with side support works better (probably because of the cup construction though). Straps are still a smidge too wide and one keeps slipping. I know that if I tighten it too much it will dig in so I have to find the sweet spot of slipping just a little, digging just a little. Looking at photos and red marks on my skin after wearing it all day, I'd say the wires are too wide and the cup is a smidge too large! Weird.
However, I find my 3 year old Fantasie bra bands to be still ...tight on the first hook and this one gives me the same tightness on the middle hook.
I do like that the gore is lower but not so low I spill out (as I have soft tissue). And it's red. I've always preferred skin-tone bras as multi-purpose but now I like the idea of wearing red with a red top. If it shows, it's not as obvious.
Cups are deep and projected. I feel uplifted without having boobs in my chin. The wires are shorter than the channel. Read more 89 more words
The GG was a little droopy on me, so I tried the G, but it's far too small on my larger breast. It's also quite stiff - both the fabric and the lace on top. I imagine it would break in fine, but even if it had fit, I probably wouldn't have kept it to find out.
Hate this bra! While it fits, I find it really lets my boobs fall toward my armpits. Makes me look wider and less supported. Maybe I need a smaller cup size? I think I would get quadraboob with a smaller size, though. I just don't believe it provides the support I need. I would not recommend this bra if you have soft tissue.
It is a nice comfortable, supportive bra for work or under basic t-shirts. But, it is very full-coverage, so what it can be worn with is very limited. The cups are seamless with only a little embroidery underneath, so it does not show through clothing, but it not too terribly plain. The straps are rather long; they fit now, but are less than an inch from their tightest, so I worry that it will not be long before they will not tighten enough.
This bra has always been too tight on me so it is a tiny bit stretched from the few times I've worn it. The cups were always a bit big as well, but I did not like the wide shape that they gave me. My boobs looked very rounded and low and it was very noticeable under a shirt. I am used to the regular Fantasie pointed shape so personal preference I suppose. If it would have been the right band length, however, I am convinced it would be one of the more comfortable bras that I have. Now that I think of it another thing I didn't quite love so much was the fullness of the cups. My boobs were very contained but it was hard to wear under anything besides a t-shirt because it went so high up.
I think this is the best fitting T-shirt bra I've ever had! The shape is round, which is my preferred one, the cups are not too high and it just looks great under clothes. Great purchase! Will have to update after I've worn it but in terms of fitting it looks perfect.
I have two of these (both 32G, one black and one navy). Both fit well, but by the end of the day I have deep-ish lines cut into my torso where the band hits (even with an extender on the loosest hook!). Not sure if it's the lace trim, or the fabric of the band itself that causes it. But aside from that I'm pretty happy with my purchases.
The fit is perfect, I don't know why the system is showing a sad face. Maybe there is a little bit of wrinkling in the bottom of the cup, but there is no quadra-boob effect on top, the cups are soft. The colors are really good and it is one of my best fitting bras overall, since I am still trying to figure out which models work best for me with the advice I get here.
I ordered this because I need a good t-shirt bra. This isn't the bra, though. The cups don't have enough depth for my breasts. Maybe a size up would be okay, but the cups are so close-set that I think it still wouldn't fit me well. I couldn't fill the bottom of the cup but was spilling out of the top awkwardly. If the shape worked I'd keep it - it seems like a fine bra for someone it fits.
This bra should be identical to other cut and sew Fantasie bras but it's not. There is a slight--very slight difference in the height of the bottom panel that makes a HUGE difference in the fit. I feel uplifted and rounded but with the forward projection I prefer.
The straps are too wide-set but juuuust narrow enough that I think they will work. The colorway--a mottled purple--is very pretty and low contrast so I don't ahve to worry too much about what I wear it under. The left cup horizontal seam is not as flat/smooth as the right side. So now I wonder, is the difference in cup panels deliberate or a quality control issue?
It's comfortable, but it squeaks. But the shape is so wonderful and the cup--so far--doesn't chafe against my armpits, that it's a keeper.
Update Dec 2013: straps slip frequently. They are too wide-set.
This bra really doesn't fit me -- I completely spill out and over the top half -- but it's extremely comfortable (wouldn't wear it outside of the house, of course).
Its fit on me poses an unusual paradox: the band width and width and placement of the cups fit perfectly, yet the top portion I completely don't fit. And while I completely overflow it, yet still something about the padded shape manages to wrinkle a bit around the center of the cups (not quite as pronounced in pictures as in person).
For someone with my narrow shoulders and ribcage, the band and cup width are perfect. However, I ...would need a lot more material in the cup. Since I would have to stay with a 32 bandwidth, I guess I would need 2-4 cup sizes larger? Probably the better bet is that even if they made it that large (I don't think they do?), I am guessing that it would not fit my build.
It doesn't poke me anywhere despite how it looks; it is very comfortable and the only thing I find uncomfortable about it is the feeling of spilling out over the top. But it is so nice to have cups that don't go halfway around my ribcage or point outward when I don't; the smaller cup width gives better support than an overlarge one (although I am not familiar with how widespread that problem might be or how many people have that in common with me)
Pros: The bra itself looks really nice and they look gorgeous on the right person. It feels sturdy without feeling binding or uncomfortable. The width proportions hit me in the right places.
Cons: The padding seems to be an unusual shape. I usually fill out various sizes and shapes of padded bras even if they don't quite fit me, but this one always partly wrinkles no matter how I adjust. For me the center gore being nowhere near my sternum and my completely not fitting the top portion of the cup make it a nonstarter, but I think it would be good for people who have smaller ribcages and higher, rounded shapes, but not so heavy on the top half(?). They might not be soft enough for some people. I didn't find it rough but I didn't find it soft, either. Read more 280 more words
Bought this "used" at what I thought had to be too large a cup size: 32I. It does NOT fit me; the cups are way too small although everything else feels properly aligned (small shoulders/close together/large/full/round).
It seems to align properly for me everywhere, but the upper cups don't work for my physique even for this kind of style.
The bra is quite comfortable, surprisingly, since I'm falling out of it.
--I am not sure whether the qualtiy/comfort/appearance ratings are to refer to the bra itself or how it is on me. I found it fairly good quality, incredible comfort (though not as soft as some people like), and it was way too small on me but I thought the bra itself looked nice -- does that mean I should have put "bra appearance: meh" for how it is on ME or "good" because it, itself, looks nice?
This bra isn't the most attractive, in my opinion, but it doesn't show under my scrubs, which is what I've been looking for. The cups fit OK. I definitely have empty space on the side of the cup on my smaller breast. I do wonder if I could go down a cup, but I don't think the gore would tack if I did. I can't quite figure out the band on this. It doesn't seem too tight, but by the end of the day I get sharp pains on my sides. Some of it may have to do with my terrible posture, but I'm not sure.
Wore this bra for a full day and was in a lot of pain by the end, I think mostly due to a too tight band. The bottoms of the cups are too shallow as well.
