I really like this swimsuit. It's simple, but has some slight edginess and androgyny to it, which is right up my alley and VERY difficult to find in my size range. I think a 30GG, my usual Freya size, could have worked just as well for me. I tried a 30FF as well, and the biggest difference between the two sizes is the cup width, which increases towards the back of the bikini, not the front. No matter what size you are, you will not have a great deal of coverage, which is, again, pretty difficult to find in my size range. I think this level of boob ...awesomeness is what non-full-on-bottom people get from the Freya Deco. (I am full-on-bottom.) As with any halter top, though, my boobs have noticeable weight to them, and the band of the bikini has only one setting. I feel that this band fits like a loose 30, meaning that I do feel the weight of my breasts on my neck after a few hours. However, it's passed the beach frolicking test. I stayed contained and happy, and didn't have to think about my chest at all.
Other considerations: The sheer region is quite stretchy, and thus seems to vary widely in propriety level as a a result of boob mass. See pictures. The bikini is unlined, meaning that if you care about nipples, you'll want to either add lining yourself, or position nipples under the seam of the cup. This may lead to more areola being visible through the mesh than you're comfortable with, if yours are a noticeably different color than the rest of your skin. For me, even with my large areolas, I don't find it to be a problem, but I'm brown and so are they. See pictures for fastener type. Read more 188 more words
I find this an ok bikini top. It is not extremely supportive, and I hope the halter style will not start digging into my neck with longer wear (I've had this problem with other bikinis). It does look cute on, but I would have preferred a slightly thicker material, to push my boobs up and to the center a bit more. I bought this mostly because of the matching bottom (60ies style briefs with a little frill), which looks absolutely awesome on me!
This is a great swim top! I think I'm going to try to order a different size and see if that will fix the tightness of the band and the very slight gapping at the top of the cups.
Cute, supportive, definitely adds volume & cleavage. The plunge style cuts in a bit, so definitely go up a cup size if you're FOT or have tall roots. The 28 band feels true to size, not super stretchy like some other Freyas. We'll see how it holds up in the water!
Love this one! Of the three I tried on, I went with this one. I like the color and the fit is excellent with just enough support (I always want more support, but there's enough in this one). I like the details.
Really cute swim top. Fit me well without any problems. I tried this one along with two others and chose the Marine Blue version of this (doesn't come with the bow). I found I preferred the blue to black (looked more like a swim top) and I didn't care for the bow on this one.
This bikini top fits nicely in one cup size larger than normal, though I do find the band to be just a tad bit tighter than Freya 34G bras. However, this does help keep the top in place once it gets wet because the band loosens once that happens. I'm not impressed with the flimsy plastic clip on the back to fasten the top and wish Freya would figure out a more substantial mechanism for their bikini tops, but I'm overall pleased with the bikini top. Overall, this gives a nice uplifted and round profile for me, which is great!
Freya bras usually run large in the band but this bikini definitely runs tight. The cups are also slightly too big. I really wish this had worked. I'm not a fan of the ruffles on the bikini top or bottom. I'm debating whether to try to make it work and cut off the ruffles or sell it.
This swimsuit top is really well structured- I can tell that it would offer a high level of support to anyone who got it in the correct size. However, the band is a bit stretchy/big overall, so I kind of wish I had sized down and gotten a 28G. It covers everything really well without being dowdy; it's cute and functional.
I really like this one. The ruffle along the top helps to ease concern over quadboobing (even though that's generally unlikely as the cups are a good fit for my shape) with this swim top. I like that the straps are adjustable in shape and length. I kind of wish the band did that as well.
I really have no complaints about this one except that due to my slightly askew sternum, the gore hits at an uncomfortable point. And I suppose it could be slightly more supportive - but I'm picky there.
If my sternum weren't a problem with the gore, I'd keep it and wear it!
This is a cut I would not normally choose, because in bras it does not fit, but since my favourite cut with 3 vertical seams is not available in swimwear, I had to go and see what was in the market. As the material is quite stiff, I have yet to find out how to adjust the strap on my smaller breast so it does not create a little fold on the top of the cup (luckily the fold is hidden under the bow). It is very comfortable while swimming, but I noticed it kind of wrinkles and sits differently when it is wet (I did not see myself in a mirror, so I will add more details next time), I guess this happens because it is not very much padded. It gives very nice rounded shape.
Despite being two cup sizes two small, I wear this bikini as a bra because it gives a great shape under clothes and is really comfortable. The button and seam decoration are not as pretty in person as in pictures, in my opinion.
Pros: very pretty and well-made. The colors are much brighter than the pictures online. Cons: The center gore is too wide and folds over; the band is too stretchy, I guess because it is swimwear material; and the wires are extremely inflexible and begin to dig in to my outer rib cage after wearing for just a few hours.
This bikini does not fit me properly (cups too small, band too large), but because it is an amazing piece of bra engineering, it still gives an amazing shape under clothes, so I wear it as a bra. I also like that it's lightly padded.
