I bought this over the summer while on vacation in Florida, it was an uplanned trip after working in Georgia and I hadn't packed a swimsuit. After trying some swimsuits at a few stores with no luck with standard S-XL sized swimwear I found a boutique that sold Freya and other UK brands. Many of the bras and swimsuits were quite overpriced, but they had a sale rack and I found this at a reasonable price. I tried it on the band was quite tight and the cups were a bit small, but I can deal with cups being a bit small in a bikini top and I hoped the band would stretch with some wear. I wore it for the while at the beach and the band didn't get any better. As much as I love this pattern I won't be wearing this again so I will be listing it. I did get it with matching bottoms but they only had a large, it does tie on one side so it is a bit adjustable.
I have very shallow/tubular breast. I was measured and the calculator said 30D . But I read that freya band was tight so I bought a 32D. The issue is that it wrinkles along the vertical seam,if I made I stich somewhere I could fix the extra fabric. But I don't really know
For some reason I thought for a while that I would fit into this bikini top, but it doesn't seem that way now. It is about two cup sizes too small for me now. I love the colours - have been a sucker for loud bikinis all my life. Classic Freya quality, balcony sweetheart shape, comes with XS tie side bottoms.
I LOVE this bikini. Sometimes when shopping for swimwear I feel like I'm lost in a sea of strange floral prints, so this bright colorblocking is really fresh and stands out. This is sort of a semi-longline, extending not too far below the cups. I don't have a problem with it folding up so far. The problems I do have is that it slides down a little bit, probably due to shallowness near the wire, and the straps are flimsy and strange--they're removable and don't stay on well and twist up easily.
I didn't include measurement for the straps since it is a halter, or a number of hook/eye columns since it's a clip fastening.
This is such a cute bikini and super flattering, it gives a really nice rounded shape. However, after buying this and trying on the top, I realised I couldn't do halternecks. Not just that, but my roots are too narrow for it and the wires are too wide for me (which is the case for almost every bra/bikini), resulting in empty space on the sides. I'd say this style (which is a standard Freya style they bring out in different patterns each season, with or without the frill) is pretty true to size for a 32H. I'm a 30HH now and it fits fine in the cup and is a little roomy in the band, which is to be expected.
Filled out the "number of hooks" as just 1, as it as a clip fastening, rather than hook and eye. Not sure how accurate the cup depth measurement can really be since swimwear stretches much more than bras.
This kind of 3-part balconette really works as a bikini for a bigger bust. It feels very secure and supportive, and gives quite a natural rounded shape. I only tried this on when I first got it, I think at the time it gave me quadboob at the time so I never wore it in the pool and there was no point in trying in the bottoms. I am now a 30H/HH and it no longer quadboobs, but the wires are too wide and there is empty space at the sides of the cups. The band is also not firm enough.
I love this bikini. It fits better than most of my bras. The cups are a little wide, but very comfortable. The stretchy fabric allows for any amount of projection. I sized down in the cups (from my usual 30F to a 30E) since I'm pretty center heavy (and a plunge style means a lot of my breast tissue is not actually in the cups). There is some odd puckering at the top of the cup sometimes, but adjusting/pulling on the cups a little fixes it easily.
A pretty bikini. Cups are made of foam (I think) and a bit shallower than I would like but other than that, a good fit. Seems to be covering the boobs rather than providing a lot of lift but not really a problem.
Without being too excited about this tankini or using a tad too much hyperbole, this may be the greatest thing I've ever purchased in my life, excluding my dog. I bought it at a factory shop for only £8 and the only downside is I bought it in a 30E rather than a 28F. No worries, I can just keep it fasted on the tightest set of hooks. That's it. That's the only thing bad I can say about it other than possibly looking slightly ridiculously trying to get into and out of it. The "bra" section of the tankini is made of a white netting material ...and is a properly constructed 2-seam bra with underwire and three sets of hooks at the back. Then along the top at the front, the colourful pattered swimsuit fabric is attached. This means no bunching at the back and no odd seam at the front under your boobs. The straps are fully adjustable and a nice thickness. But saving the best for last - this tankini is LONG. I'm 5'9" and all torso and have never found any tankini that reaches my bellybutton, let along my bikini bottoms. This is perfect. Fits like it was made for me. Read more 99 more words
Really lovely bikini, although being usually 32D I found this one as too small. The band fits pretty well, although cups are like 1 size small. Looks very cute together with the pants, unfortunately never had chance to wear it as too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Absolutely love this swim top! It's super cute and fits me perfectly all around. Great for those with wide set full on top breasts. My fear was that it would start to hurt my neck after wearing it for a few hours but I haven't had that problem yet!
The Venetian came as a BTB swap - just had to let my Panache Nancy go. Thank you uniteacher - the bikini is in perfect, like new condition! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I love Freya Swim, so despite the pattern and style not really being my first choice, not exactly a ruffle fan - this bikini just might grow on me. My prime objective was to get the cup size right, which is a total success. The band feels unusually tight for Freya, much tighter than my Tootsie. The wires stretch wider than they should because of this. The gore is too wide, the wires sitting on breast tissue - this is really the biggest issue. Once the band stretches a little, I will probably take the gore in. Update will come after I dip the Venetian in the Adriatic Sea...
Simple and discreet but pretty (the colour is very taupe/raw umber - brown with a greyish tint, and light golden beige straps), it's a top for those who just want to hang around on the beach without people commenting on their bright and bold choice of bikini.
I bought this thinking I was still in the 30FF range, but alas, I am not. The cup fabric wrinkles, the wires are far too wide, making the cups balance on the pokey outer sides of my ribcage and creating a pocket between the wires and my sternum. The band is also a smidge too loose/stretchy for my liking, but it's acceptable. However, this particular style (Freya's plunge bikinis) are the best shape of any bikini I've tried.
My hunt for a decent beach boob coverer continues (next try: 30F or 28G, or smaller)
I have this in the Indigo (bright purple) colorway. It seems to run a tad bit smaller than the same size Fever, Tootsie or Acapulco (all sweetheart padded bikini tops).
Dear god this is an atrocious fit. The band is larger and stretchier than an average 30, the cups are wide - they end at the back of my armpit - and shallow (so much space at the bottom!), the shape it gives my soft, pendulous boobs is nowhere near attractive - very east-west, and the top of the cups (the contrasting aqua and white stripes) angle inwards so badly my boobs appear to sit at the lower end of my ribcage. The halter strap helps a little with lift and shape, but there's only one setting for it - in my armpits, and it's really tricky to get it to sit comfortably. Without the strap, there's no way the bra will stay up.
If I keep it, I will add a narrower setting and also probaby replace the wires to make the cups narrower, but I will be getting one of Freya's plunge style tops in addition to the Revival.
