    Didn't fit

I'm regularly a shallow, slightly FoT 30D, but I read endless reviews that Freya bras tend to run big in the band, so I ordered a 28DD. For disambiguation, since different colorways often have a slightly different cut or stretch, this was the bright yellow "Zest". Well, the band fit fine, properly snug on the last hooks, but the cups were insanely narrow. I haven't put on a bra that narrow in the cups since I stopped wearing A cups. It was only 4" across! Whether this was a manufacturing error or just true of that particular model, I don't know, but that seems fairly ridiculous to me for a brand and model known for being fairly good for shallow breasts. If I can find the Deco Plunge in a physical store in 28DD and 28E in other colors, I may try again, because the material itself was perfectly pleasant against my skin. As it was, I only ordered this color because it was the cheapest price.

Ugh! Freya! Get it together! Inconsistent sizing makes me crazy. A 4.0" wide cup that is 6.5" deep is what I would expect to find on a 28C. Maaaaaybe a 28D.

Super fun color and straps though!

    • 4

FWIW you're not the first one to notice Decos cups are pretty useless. It's too wide & shallow for 99% of the larger size range & too narrow for most of the small end.

    • 2

I don't think going up a cup size will be much help. When I look at your side on picture and front on picture I can see that the seems on the band aren't sitting far back enough. They are quite forward. I think you should try a size 30 band as it looks as though you need the width not projection. Hope this helps :) Good luck.

    • 2

I agree with Ambie-Australia, if you sister size up the cup should be wider, and you could alter the band down or have someone else alter it. :)

    • 3

It's definitely a matter of width, not projection. Any more projected and my smaller side would gape terribly. I read a very detailed Amazon review from someone whose 28DD was actually wider in the cup than their 30D, though, so I'm entirely unconvinced going up in the band in this case will help.

    Didn't fit

The cups are wide and shallow, as is often said of molded cup bras. I expected that going in. I also expected the band to stretch out quickly, which is why I bought a 28 band, not a 30. It quickly became large and stretchy, which is great since my looser underbust measurements are around 29 inches.

What I did NOT expect is there's an odd itchy quality to the back of the band on this bra, and the first couple times I wore it the hooks somehow managed to scrape and scoop out a bit of my back. There's still a bruise there. The itching is still a problem several wears and a couple washes later, but the hooks haven't tried to spoon me to death again.

In the future, I'd break in Decos by doing what I read someone else doing with some bra bands: wash it to get the starches/chemicals out, dry it, and clasp it around a pillow for a day or two. I'd rather not offer any more flesh sacrifices.

"...clasp it around a pillow for a day or two..."

I missed this suggestion the first time around. I'm going to try that on my insanely tight 65F Ewa Michalak Kleksik.

    • Have the same experience with that bra. Am going to try your "cure". ;-)

  3. This is a popular bra with many good reviews, so this will be a bit specific to my perspective, rather than the general review I typically try to write.

The Deco is a plunge, so one of the goals of the bra is cleavage with a low center gore. The cleavage I get in this bra is massive - my breasts are mashed together. If I move aggressively (leaning to a side, or similar), it feels as if the "higher" breast could fall out of the cup... except it's mashed into the lower breast, and that holds it in. It's a bit disturbing, at first, but not a big ... deal. I mention it as something to be aware of, not necessarily a problem.

Unfortunately, I think my breast shape may not be a good fit for the Deco. I'm a bit "full on bottom". In the 28F Deco, I mostly fill the top of the cups - I fill them when sitting or standing normally. There will be a bit of extra space with some ways I move, and the top of my breast is never "too much" for the cup. However, in the lower portion of the bra, my breast easily fills the entire cup, and there's almost a "quadraboob" effect on the lower portion of the bra. As a result of this "too big on the top, too small on the bottom," I suspect I'm too bottom-heavy for the Deco. Still, it's "close enough" and I'll continue to wear it.

This is THE best bra I have ever purchased. It is a seamless t-shirt bra, molded cup, and plunge style. I was unsure at first, as I've always fallen through the middle of plunge styles, but this one is absolutely perfect! I can wear it all day and not worry about readjusting myself, which is a breath of relief! It doesn't have seams down the centre, so it gives a perfectly rounded shape. Many reviews say this bra runs large, but I found it True to Size. The band is snug, and does not stretch out quickly like other brands, giving it a longer lifespan. I will be buying this in every colour!

We're really glad you like it. Freya x

    • I'd like to know which color are you basing your review on?

I found the Nude and Black (30FF) versions to be true to my non-moulded Freya size yet the Charcoal (30G)(and presumably the Lupin color as well since they are both the current version). I tried adjusting the straps on the Black, Nude and Charcoal until the cups fit best without cleavage-area gaping.

Based on *so* many reviews I feel this bra is best tried on in multiple sizes by every woman as we are all different shapes! :)

This was my first bra bought in a size 28 and i’m so glad i purchased it! All the 30 sized bands i’d been purchasing were too loose so i stopped being in denial that I needed a smaller band size. I love the narrowness of the cups, a lot of my other bras including a 30E that i have that i’d say fit pretty well have wires that are too wide for me which causes empty space on the sides. I feel like that tends to make my breasts look wider and less projected. I do get lines from wearing this bra but they go away quickly ... after removing and are not sore, honestly it’s a breath of fresh air after only wearing bras with a too large band.
All this being said i think the fit is pretty good, from a side angle I notice some overflowing tissue so i’d like to try going up a cup size to see if that resolves the issue. Other than that a pretty good fit for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

  6. Will update after wearing for a full day with further comfort info. Hello, cleavage! I have finally discovered the wonders of the Freya Deco. I originally ordered this in a 30F but exchanged for a 28F because I had gapping and the band wasn't tight enough. The 28F fits surprisingly well considering it's more suited for shallow shapes and I'm projected. The gore is low enough to tack despite how much the bra pushes my breasts together. I had been wanting a nice simple black bra, and this is definitely satisfactory! Onto my issues...again, I'll update after wearing it for longer since this was just a half hour ... of wearing it straight out of the box, but this may be the most uncomfortable bra I've ever put on for longer than ten minutes. I'm sure the black colorway fits tighter than the others because of the dye etc., and I'm sure the band will loosen a bit with wear to become more comfortable, but the bottom of the band digs into my ribcage so hard and makes it kind of difficult to breathe. I tightened the straps to try to bring the back up higher a little and maybe alleviate the discomfort, but then the straps just started hurting too. The fabric is soft to the touch but the bra certainly doesn't seem soft during wear -- it just felt really stiff, so I think I'll have to go through a Dr. Martens-type wearing-in process.
I haven't really had cleavage in any bras that fit yet, but I admit I was glad to see it back with the Deco. I think the wires are narrow enough for me too, which is nice.

It’s a great bra for cleavage for sure. But it’s also boob armor. The cups will stay pretty firm. It’s definitely a love/hate bra for me. I definitely suggest that you try the PL and M cuts from Ewa Michalak. Lots of cleavage and much softer cups. Though not totally seamless (some Comexim plunges are smoother). Also, Bravissimo Satine might be better, too.

    • 1

I have a deco too, and they just stay stiff, even after washing. They do create great cleavage though. I'm sure the band will stretch after a few wears, but you could always use an extender if it's too unbearable.

  7. This seems to fit me well for a moulded plunge bra. Although there is slight quadboob towards the centre, the plunge cut allows room for my centre fullness without my breasts falling out the middle, and the foam cups keep me lifted and contained. The cups do seem a bit wide as the underwire ends near the back of my armpit and there is empty space in the side of the cups, but this bra is comfortable enough to wear for a day.

Just got it, seems to be perfect! Gives me round and uplifted shape with nice cleavage.
That's silly, but I was dreaming about having this bra, so couldn't resist to buy it, when it was overpriced... And it fits!

As far, I was wearing 32FF by Fantasie on the tightest hook and 65I by AVA, so it seems to be true to the size.

    edit:
I bought this bra as new (January, 2017). It seems, that they improved it, cause the band is very snug and I even wish it was more stretchy... Cause as I am a singer and a sports lover, my ribs expand from 65 cm on the exhale ... to 80 cm on the inhale and I feel like I can not breathe as deeply as I want to with this bra on. The band is longer than my other bras has in the size of 30, but it barely stretches to 77 cm (my inhale is 80 cm). I definitely can not sing freely wearing it, hope it will stretch a little. That's funny, cause 32 bands usually ride up and don't give me enough support.

The other issue is that after a few hours it starts gaping a little bit on the sides and top (about 2 mm), but still makes the cleavage. The gaping doesn't show under the clothes. I have no idea if this is normal with molded cups, always have it. More or less, but it usually happens.

yeah, me too :) I love everything about the way it looks!
      And thank you :)

It's a great bra and looks very good on you. I have one in blue with black polka dots and I'm bummed that I can't get another Deco in my new size. I'm a little envious!

    • 1

Yeah, in changing size the thing that bras stop fitting sucks the most... Especially, when we fall out of the size range of our favorite models then. Hope they will include your size soon!

I have two of this bra in black, one in beige and one black bikini top - I just love it! It is the perfect fit and makes my boobs looks spectacular. An absolute must have if you wear low cut tops/dresses, want to look smoking hot for any occasion, need to seduce someone etc.
    Best bra ever.

I love this bra, it fits so comfortably and my boobs look and feel great in it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
I had previously tried it in 34GG and 36G, after my old beloved Deco in 34G no longer fitted but they just weren't working for me, so, anyway I'm just so glad to have finally come across a 36GG, its perfect.
It gives lift and a rounded shape, straps are sturdy and fully adjustable, which is great cos I love to hoik them up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> and the only con which doesn't really bother me at all is slight gaping at the middle on the side of my smaller boob, it only happens when I bend a certain way, I'm fine with it, much rather that than it sitting on my tissue.
This one actually fits better than my original 34G ever did :/
