  1. Freya Fancies was one of my favorite bras when I was a solid 28DD, thanks to the fact that it's pretty, comfortable, and comes in a beautiful assortment of colors. It took me a few tries to find the correct size as I started my journey with a 28D that I didn't immediately realize was too small and altered and wore for a while before switching to 28DD. However, since I have gone up a cup size in recent months, I noticed the 28DD's wires were too narrow and cutting in on the sides, and the closed top would dig into my roots. I decided ... to size up to the 28E, and I'm glad it still works for me! This review is specifically to discuss how the 28DD fit me, as I am currently a 28E, and my review under 28E is more comprehensive regarding the bra itself.

When I was a true 28DD, my shape was less rounded than it is now, and I was more FOB with a shallower top. I would have trouble at the time filling out the upper cup of other styles, like many other Freya plunges (Fearne, Sansa) and most of the Cleo/Panache bras I tried. This bra surprised me because it actually gave me a really nice rounded shape, very different from the pictures posted here of others wearing the 28D-DD-E size range and looking deflated. The measurements on this bra run deeper than similar size bras, but I believe it's due to the tall plunge cups, since my normal size has always worked for me in this bra.

The wires needed more adjustment for me in this size, however. The 28DD wires tend to have a strong J shape, and I need more C shaped wires. I always had to reshape them if they came in very J to open them up more, and I now realize that it's because the wires were too narrow for me and I really needed something wider. Thankfully the cup shape still worked for me once. the wires were opened up, and the 28DD was a great depth on me. So, I think this bra would suit both narrow and wider breasts as the wires are easy to adjust.

The band runs big, however, so while it works for me, it's hardly what I would call snug. If possible, I'd recommend sizing down in the band and sister sizing up to your normal cup size's equivalent. However, the shape of the cups really suits a round shape best, so I would not recommend this style if you are very shallow or if you are empty on top. It is a super comfortable bra and I love it for summer. Highly recommended if it suits your shape!

The bra seemed comfortable if I had been able to fill it out. I'm sure it is a great bra for someone of a different size and shape.

SO this was the first Bra That Fit ("Fit") that I ever owned. Before, I had been wearing ill-fitting VS 34DDDs with gores floating, like, an inch off of my sternum that *still* gave me quadboob. So I have a special fondness for this bra as the first one I ever wore where the gore actually tacked close to my sternum, lol. I almost actually cried.

However. Several months later and a better understanding of what a good bra should feel like later, I have to conclude that this bra is *slightly* ill-fitting. The band is a little loose; the gore-- and let me just say that I prefer to have my gores very closely tacked-- floats off of my sternum by probably a quarter of an inch, I get a bit of weird wrinkling in the bottom of the cup, and when I stand up properly, I have a bit of quadboob even when the gore floats. So honestly, I probably would have better fit into a 30G. However! It's a lovely bra, and very comfortable.

Me: 30F/32E. Center full, close set, relatively even when supported, tall-ish roots. Not particularly narrow - average to wide roots. Soft tissue. Shoulders are on the slightly narrow side so some balconettes have straps that are too wide for me.

Keyhole back one with only one hook didn't feel less supportive so that's cool. Band is very stretchy/loose out of the box so I tried wearing it on the tightest hook. Discomfort around gore/wires - I think they’re rubbing on tissue because they’re sitting on it, a common problem for me. Also the upper section of the cup cut into my tissue (tall roots thing). The depth of the cup/overall shape was good - depth where needed at the bottom and apex.

The wire channels have a nice amount of padding. I wish this one had worked!

This bra: yeah, the one hook thing really threw me. But it didn't feel less supportive than the many 2- and 3-hook bras I've tried. It also had the right distribution of cup depth. However, the top part of the cup/lace section cut into tissue, so it was too closed on top for me. Also, it was slightly too wide in the gore, so I could feel the wires around the center start to rub on tissue after a few minutes. That was the real dealbreaker.

Might work better for short/average roots. It had an okay amount of room for center fullness, just too wide-set for me.

Beautiful bra. It's supportive but I should have sized up in the cups. The center panel doesn't lie flat which is the biggest issue l tend to have with bras

Really cute, and lightweight because of only one hook. Cons: the one-hook may not give the most support for bigger boobs. But it supports mine just fine.

  10. One of the rare more projected and narrow bras available in Canada and on Amazon. The mesh on the lower portion offers some much needed support. The gore tacks nicely and the keyhole design is quite unique. Does not cut into my armpit, underwires do not poke!

The lace is a bit too rough, and the lace on the top portion could be more flexible to allow for more variation on the top fullness/shape. The lace has an additional elastic band at the top, which creates some minor rippling effect for me, being that I have more full on bottom shape. Or maybe it is because the bands are ... set a tiny bit wide so when I push them in it creates a small bubble for the top lace portion. The top lace being looser than the mesh support allows for more projection in the centre than at the nipple, which distorts the shape ever so slightly. Planning to fix it by stitching in the lace by hand a tiny bit.

Could benefit from more than one hook for the band. I find the lace pattern quite generic. Offers several colors though.

Near perfect fit anyway. Happy with this bra. It's a keeper. My husband finds it nice and sexy too!
