I've had this bra for over a year and I've forgotten to review it! This is the best strapless design I've ever worn. It's extremely supportive, and it DOESN'T BUDGE. It looks smooth under dresses and doesn't cause as much armpit skin flap as other strapless styles.

    • I agree! I've had them for almost 2 years now (still fit 😊), and I believe the elastic is still good on them.

It Fits It Fits It Fits! And it is comfortable too! The cup size is perfect, it is pretty, and isn't scratchy at all! The only problem is that super thin fabric does provide a bit of a headlight issue, which limits which shirts I can wear it with. But it Fits!! Super pretty lace details around the front, and I love that it is a nude color too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Officially my favourite bra EVER. I had given up on moulded cups years ago as all I had tried either ended up quadding, flattening me out, and look awful under clothes. The Deco gives me a great shape (as in, people have noticed and commented on it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />) and it is not overwhelming on my tiny frame. I'd suggest it to someone who wants more depth and projection. Most say you have to size down your usual band and cup size because it tends to run big - I'd say yes. I usually spill out of moulded bras and I stuck to my usual size with the Deco that I'd wear in unlined bras and was fine. I would like to try a 28F though, to compare the tightness of the band.

I'll keep it at this, but let's say one thing: the Deco is available in a variety of colours, and my bra drawer is about to turn into a rainbow!

  6. Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223)

I'm so happy with this bra. The fabric is soft, it's lightly lined and the gore is short enough that it doesn't cut into my chest. I'm pretty surprised by light lining as I've got a small chest and I thought I needed a push up bra. Turns out, I just needed the right bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I'm in between sizes for this particular bra 30DD/30E, so the 30E fits better. I'm FOB with average projection and this bra is OK. There is slight wrinkling at the bottom, but right now, this is the best fitting bra I have https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

First, I'd like to start with this caveat, the cups are too big on me. This is confusing as I quad like mad in Freya's 28F Deco Honey and 28FF Tartan longline, and my 28G Deco Spotlight has a bit of empty space below the strap, but otherwise fits. My breasts have inner fullness but are not close set, with narrow and possibly shortish roots, and some projection.

This bra is very cute. I love the turquoise color, everything seems well made, the band fits TTS, the wires are wider than I need them, but not uncomfortably so. The straps are a little wide ... and cut in my armpit a bit, but thats true of virtually any bra in my cup size. The cups are not as tall as many bras in my size range, which is a plus for me.

Speaking of cup size, yes, definitely too big. The cups are wrinkled in the top but otherwise okay. If this bra were returnable, I would probably send it back for a 28F. Since I bought it from another bra database user and this color is discontinued, I plan to alter it instead.

Finally, many reviews say this bra gives a pointy shape, and it may. I can't say for sure since I didn't fill the cups.

    • I find Freya's unlined bras to run big too, FWIW. I tried the enchanted plunge in a 28FF and still had some wrinkling, when I'm solidly a 28G in the Decos and padded half cups.

  9. Gem Balcony Bra (1361)

I wish I'd tried this bra sooner! It is SO comfortable. I've always hated how bulky and unattractive Freya straps are, but they're definitely worth the comfort. I'm a 32F, but I generally take 30FF's in Freya's due to the stretchy band. Definitely the right choice for this bra because it fits comfortably on the last hooks. The wires could be a bit narrower for my smaller breast, but the extra bit causes no discomfort and looks fine. The cups might be a tiny bit too closed on top for me; I have to check again when my cycle is over because I gain a lot of upper fullness when menstruating, so I'll check back with that in a few days. Other than that, I have zero complaints about this bra. It's beautiful, and constructed nicely. I've been needing a black bra, and I'm glad I found one that wasn't too plain and boring, the pictures really don't do it justice. So glad I ventured out of Cleos and got this gorgeous bra.

Okay, let me just start off by saying, I absolutely LOVE the shape this bra gives me, especially how it looks under a shirt (I'll probably submit some clothed pictures in just a bit). It's very uplifted and kind of pushed together. Slimming on the sides and filling out the center. It's also a little pointed, which I'm not big on, but it looks so great otherwise that I don't even have a complaint. I have never had a bra give me this nice of a shape. Granted, I haven't had many bras until now that even came close to fitting, but I'm not one to look a ... gift horse in the mouth https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Also, this bra is so much cuter in person than pictures show. It's patterned with a very vibrant, deep blue and a nice salmon color that just compliment each other well. Even the back of the bra is patterned prettily.

The band seems very stretchy, although I did get it used, so that could be the reason. For a balcony styled bra, the cups do seem to reach higher than they should, which causes it to gape on me. The wires in the gore are doing this weird thing where they're flipping over each other, but that may be because the gore has been slightly altered. The straps are very comfortable. The bra in general is very comfortable, and all in all I'd say if it's something you think would be good for your shape, then definitely go for it.

  11. Totally Tartan Padded Half Cup Bra (1423)

I love this bra. The straps are nice and very soft. They do fall off my shoulders at work once in a while when I've been moving around a lot, but it's not often. It fits me beautifully. I think I could stand to go up to a G in this because there's the slightest hint of quadding at the end of the day but I'm very comfortable in FF. It's official, I'm in love with Freya padded halfcups. I need them all.

This is a comfortable bra that fits my shape very well. It is so far one of the prettiest and best fitting bras that I own. The quality is surprisingly good for how lightweight, sheer, and delicate this bra is. The straps are pretty stretchy but the band is nicely snug (for now) and the cups are deep. It gives great support but no extreme lift. It is also very breathable for those that live in a more warm climate. You should wear a cami (or silicone nipple covers) if you have more projected nipples and you are concerned about them showing through a shirt.

I have this in 34G and It's a very good bra for shape and appearance of lift, pushes together and gives a perky rounded shape under clothes - my go to bra for outdoors. but its very padded, projecting and low plunging - meaning a lot of clothes just don't go with it - I cant wear anything sheer or too low (unless i want a lot of cleavage) and I feel a bit self conscious if I wear this under anything tight as it makes my boobs look massive - I cant do up many button/zip clothes over it unless I go up a couple sizes. Also its very uncomfortable after a long day - sweaty itchy and painful - I'm also covered in bruises where the wire has rubbed and the straps dug in. it has held its shape and washed very well.

    • 1

I would definitely equate the 30F unlined Freyas I had with 32E-F Cleos, but bear in mind that the band on your Trudie is definitely looser than normal from wear. Cleo bands run tight in that range, though. Have you tried Lily yet? It's my favorite of the Cleos so far. :)

    • 1

Yeah, there is that too... the wear made this bra perfect for me :) And no, I haven't tried a Lily, so far all Cleo's fit me rather poorly and I am slowly giving up on them for Freyas ;)

  15. Deco Honey Moulded Plunge Bra (1254)

I love all my Decos. This recent addition is a welcome one in that it's such a bright and bold colour (jade). I also like that it's a 28GG, which I've discovered is my best fit in terms of their size offerings. 30G Decos ride up my back pretty badly causing some noticeable fit issues. I'm a sub 28, but I'm comfortable enough in 28 Decos to buy again in this size. The cup shape is identical to the Deco in black and beige, but the side panel material is thicker because of the layer of lace/mesh. I find this adds to the firmness of the band and reduces the amount of stretch (which I prefer).

    like

    28G

    Didn't fit

Since this is the slip version of the Icon Moulded Plunge Balcony bra, most of the information here is identical, because the fits are also identical. The only differences are the band measurements, stretched and unstretched. The slip is half an inch larger. And the cup separation for the slip is just a smidge wider, by .125" (1/8). The straps are still far apart but they don't feel like they'll fall off my shoulders compared to the bra. The lace also doesn't seem quite so tall, even though they both are the same height layed on top of one another.

Measurements for size 28G (UK), in inches:

    Stretched Band 28.5
    Band ... Length 24.5
    Cup Width 5.5
Cup Depth 9.5 (6.5 for lining taken from same point)
    Wire Length 9.25
    Cup Separation 1.125
    Center Gore Height 2.25
    Wing Height 3.25
    Strap Width .75
    Hooks 2

    Slip length in inches:
Side Length (from top of wings) 24
Front Length (from top of gore) 22
Back Length (taken from below the closure) 19

    PROS:
-Nice design and overall color combination.
-More flexible foam lining that does not feel like the traditional cardboard Deco. It compresses a lot better so in a way it almost feels like a spacer foam.
-No trim on the foam cups. The edge is serged and does not add bulk like the trim, and in comparison to Freya's current Deco styles, this edge is more flexible, better suited to those with fuller tissue. If you lack sufficient upper breast tissue this may be a problem.
    -The lace is stretchy.
-The slip is long enough to wear with dresses, provided they are not fitted. This has a bit of flow to it but because it's sheer, it's not heavy feeling. (Stock photos make this look butt-skimming...I'm 5'4" with a very long torso and this hits mid thigh.)

    CONS:
-Poor concept of reducing the lining to a balcony, because your nipples pop out from the top. It is angled far too much for the overall look, so this is really like a plunging shelf bra with some lace slapped on top of it! The foam lining runs about 3 sizes too small.
-Band fits large. 29" for a size 28? Really, Freya?
-Cups are too far apart so this bra gives a tremendous East-West look! Not attractive!
-Straps could be a little closer but they're not as widely spaced as the bra's.
-Gives a pointy look because the foam lining is sitting below the apex.
-This goes for the bra as well (forgot to mention it) - the foam is really shallow at the bottom of the cups. Causes Orange-In-A-Glass.

    Overall:
As is the case with the bra, the foam on this is ridiculous. Way too small. I was really hoping that maybe I bought a mistake bra until I got this in the next day and realized the foam looked the same. I don't get it. Freya claims their models are always wearing 30F and the girl they used to model this line was reported to be a fuller 30F. Yet if you take a look at the bra she's wearing there is a big difference in the style of the foam, so I have to wonder if they didn't stick her in a bra that was a few sizes too small. I'm thinking they're keeping the foams relatively the same size and only adjusting the lace. That makes a lot of sense because a smaller size will have less lace coverage, and their model is wearing a bra that has maybe a centimeter difference at the most between the edge of the foam and edge of the lace at the gore. Then again, other bras online from different retailers and blog also look like that. So maybe Figleaves has received the crappy versions that failed QC inspections...

This almost looks like it's not sitting correctly on me...in one of the photos you can see what looks like empty space at the bottom of the cup. I'm completely filling this out and the wires are angled directly underneath my tissue. I think I'm experiencing some Orange-In-A-Glass.

Returning this as well. I can't wear it!

    • Babydolls are usually intended for bedroom use, not for under clothing?

    • Pretty design very much tempting like just flew in bra tho there is no my size

    • 1

dbmamaz this doubles as a slip like what you would wear under a dress. Most full body slips that are not spandex or form fitting have a fit the same as this babydoll. The fit of the cups is exactly like the bra, so it can be worn under clothes.

@FoxTaylor Freya has been limiting their size ranges lately. I do not understand why, considering most people are asking for them to extend the sizes. It's a shame, but a lot out their bras lately are just "looking at" pieces =(

    • HLA Exactly!! I had asked few times but still look at them! I think They got no plan to extend their size range at all.

I might have to try more Decos. I tried a whole bunch in the old model and they never fit.

    • 1

...it looks great, and I'm happy that there are people for whom it works better now, but sadly the reverse is also true, so it doesn't fit me anymore :(

    • JulieCS what size do you wear in the old model?

    • JulieCS Not everyone is going to not be able to fit into the new style. :) I could fit into the old style if the bands were more A shaped than V shaped. Meaning the top half of the bra band was smaller than the bottom. I think that's only problem I have with Freya bras they get bigger on top of band instead of being smaller of even with the bottom part of the band.

Good point about the band, I also saw a suggestion to wear it on a tighter upper hook and looser lower hook, to make the band tighter at the top. Do you find that for the new one that's not the case anymore? I wear a 34GG/36G, and I tried the new Deco Honey and could compare to my old one (both 36G). Side by side, the cup width and wing height were the same, only the depth was different, which makes me a bit skeptical about trying to size up - if the cups become wider/higher than will most likely not work. Which is a shame, as it's my go-to bra. I agree that many people might find it to be a better fit, which is good :) I just wonder why they didn't keep both cuts, the Deco comes in a bazillion colours anyway.

    • I haven't heard of the new one. :) I thought it is so pretty. And the people that can't wear the old style get a chance to maybe have a really good fit with the new style.

This bra has a weird shape and very wide cups. It doesn't work well for full-on-bottom breasts, either. The fabric is nice and silky-soft, and the patterns are fun and nonconventionally interesting. It's a thicker fabric, too, so it'd be good for prominent nipples and/or colder weather.

    30G

This is a well-made nonwired bra in the vein of the retro/granny soft cups still marketed nowadays (Playtex 18 hour, etc.)

Similarities with the old skool bras: strategically placed seams are used to support and lift the breast. Boobs point up, not down in a correctly sized cup in my size range (I can't speak for high size ranges). Reinforced but not boned vertical seam situated at the outer edge of the cup centers the bust. On my own naturally very projected bosom, the effect is projected and the apex of the breast is quite well-defined.

Differences/updates: the appearance and feel of the bra have ... been brought at least partly up to date with smoother, softer fabric, a cute print, and detailing that is comparable to what you can find in Freya and Fantasie's underwire designs. The above points are probably a plus in most people's book. Less positive design update: the disappearance of the wide, thick underbust band which, in older softcup designs, plays an important role in making the whole bra more supportive and more comfortable, especially for people with heavier breasts. The Dotty's band is not noticeably thicker or wider than your typical underwire's. It has 3 hooks at the back, as opposed to 5 or 6 hooks on some of the Serious Granny Bras. The mesh used at the back of the band is typical Freya "mush mesh" instead of the roughish, but very robust powermesh commonly used in old fashioned shapewear and bras. It looks a lot nicer but I anticipate it having a shorter lifespan overall.

The 30G fits me very well in the cup, though I could probably still have managed very comfortably with a slightly smaller cup--the design of nonwired cups is much more forgiving as there is no wire to limit compatibility with the wearer's breast shape. The band is a tad tight on me, but comfortable and wearable. I will be using an extender to avoid killing the elasticity too fast (see point above about Freya mesh!)

I had very high hopes for this bra, but it doesn't fit at all. I have a Freya 28E - Freya » Flourish Padded Longline Bra (1543) that fits really well and that I like. However, this one, for some unknown reason, quad boobs a lot!! Despite both being a 28e, this one is clearly too small. I think it has less bottom projection, resulting in my boob being lifted up a lot. On the positive side, great cleavage enhancer!

It also only has 2 rows of eyes, which given freya's tendency towards loose bands, is disappointing...

I will upload the 28f when I get it after the returning of this one...

(The bra itself is fine accept for being tiny in the cup! Being a longline does help mitigate freyas loose bands)
