I love this bra so much. I've had mine for years and now it's all soft and especially good for sleeping in or watching Netflix with my cat. Still after all of this time the pink design has hardly faded and it has kept its shape and most of the support. I will be getting another one of these definitely. Such a good every day bra, comfortable, pretty, durable, doesn't leave marks on my body, five stars from me. The matching briefs are nice too but I'm not a fan of the mesh on skin look. I wish Freya paid more attention to the design of their briefs, butts need support/love too.
I have two of this bra in black, one in beige and one black bikini top - I just love it! It is the perfect fit and makes my boobs looks spectacular. An absolute must have if you wear low cut tops/dresses, want to look smoking hot for any occasion, need to seduce someone etc. Best bra ever.
i'm reluctant to try freya due to the deco plunge's reputation for narrow wires. i kind of liked the molded halfcup, but i didn't want pushup padding. however, the marvel is not as narrow, and has been known to work for some shallow-breasted people.
it didn't work for me. the cup is a little too projected and fot for my boobs. i filled out the bottom but there was no lift to my shape, and there was wrinkling on the top edge of the cup. the wires were incredibly hard and painful, especially at the gore. i've worn this a couple of times, trying to justify these issues, ...but the pain is too much. bra pain is commonplace, but i have to remember that it's unacceptable.
side ramble: it's funny how despite being bravangelized i still have a tendency to ignore fit issues. when trying on a new bra i hope that it's the end of my search. as i raise my standards of bra fit, i've realized that bras i had marked as "fit" years ago definitely don't fit. the wires were too narrow, the gores were too high, the bands were too loose, but i tried to make it work anyway despite feeling uncomfortable. i'm struggling to accept that the average person tries on 25 different bras before finding the right one. i'm not giving up, but sometimes i just really want to. The Gem was a surprise: surprisingly narrow for a Freya bra and with enough projection for my breasts! The shape is a bit pointy from the side, but the design is so pretty that I'm able to overlook that!
This is a really hard bra to measure because of the lack of wire. I would say that it fits pretty well for a 28e, but I am so used to wearing wires at this point this bra feels weird. I think the shape is great for wide and shallow types with little boob separation. I got great cleavage in this, and now understand why people love the deco. The regular deco didn't work for me (I'm def not full on top). There is a fair amount of padding in it (by my standards) which contributes to the idea that this bra is just not for me
My boobs: wide, full all over, close at top and splayed at bottom. I love this bra, it fits so comfortably and my boobs look and feel great in it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> I had previously tried it in 34GG and 36G, after my old beloved Deco in 34G no longer fitted but they just weren't working for me, so, anyway I'm just so glad to have finally come across a 36GG, its perfect. It gives lift and a rounded shape, straps are sturdy and fully adjustable, which is great cos I love to hoik them up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> and the only con which doesn't really bother me at all is slight gaping at the middle on the side of my smaller boob, it only happens when I bend a certain way, I'm fine with it, much rather that than it sitting on my tissue. This one actually fits better than my original 34G ever did :/
I have loved this print for ages and really wanted this bra in my collection ever since I missed out on the solid cobalt blue colorway before Decos became a good fit on me. The band fits like a true 28 to me (but stretchy, not stiff). It's one of the softest and most comfortable bras I have ever put on. The materials are much more supple than on my Deco Vibe. Sadly the cups are too tall for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Just want to drop this link here in case anyone wants one - this seller has them NWT for like $20. I just bought one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121488320715
I'm actually selling mine. Also I won't buy from that seller because I've had bad experiences with them. Sadly I paid more for mine as a result of purchasing from a retailer I trust more, so my price reflects that, but open to offers on my listings for a 28G an 30FF. http://www.bratabase.com/bra/di7vb/
I own two of this exact bra and two more a cup size down. The shape they give is lovely and round with an uplifted sort of cleavage. They are thin but unlikely to show nipples because of where the seams fall, and while the fabric seems to have a slight amount of give, it just makes the cup size forgiving, not the bra unsupportive. The straps are plain, which is nice sometimes if you're wearing a tank top and the straps might occasionally peek out. My only issues with the bra are the wire and strap width, which are both a bit wide for my frame. Because the wires are not very firm, and end rather low, this does not cause a problem unless I use the bra for lounging on one side, at which point the wide wires will dig into my ribs. It's a wear-to-work-when-it-needs-to-disappear-under-clothes, but take-off-once-home sort of bra. Did I mention I have four, though?
As usual for Freya, the band runs loose, almost a whole band size in this case (That's why I bought a sister-size). The straps are wide and thick, the cup is quite supportive even without side support. Unlike the Daydreamer I I fill out the space near the gore perfectly. There is slight gaping at the top if I slouch - but it sits flush if I sit straight. Something about the immediate-projection-area is slightly weird, but not enough for the wires to slip down. Wire width is almost perfect.
As usual, I cut off the bows. I am not a fan of the print, so I am debating which color I should dye it. (Black? Blue? Green? Red? HELP!! - please give input). There is always the gamble, which parts of the bra will take the dye?
This bra looks so pretty in pictures, but in person... well I just find it unattractive. First off, the cups are way too big so there is fabric everywhere. But I think even if the cups fit ok, they provide so much breast coverage that it's just not sexy or pretty. I think this bra might look nice on smaller breast but it is definitely not designed for us larger breasted gals. Anyway, I'm going to be returning it for both size issue (cups too big and band a little small) and becasue I just don't like the look.
So, the first time I wore this bra around my mother, she looked at me and said, "What? Did you get a boob job?" She wasn't joking either. This bra is shaped so that it holds all my tissue without pushing any into my armpits, or cutting across my breast tissue. With a low cut shirt, it gives a rounded, uplifted shape that's just about impossible to achieve with my small size. This bra doesn't push my boobs into each other, or smush them down...it's a very, comfortable, natural fit. The cup design is optimal for my body and breast shape the way push-up bump pads work for many other people. This is such a durable, comfortable bra, I will buy as many of these as I can afford. This fits me as well as Panache Porcelain (in 30DD) but the cups are not full-coverage (like the Porcelain), so this is perfect for low necklines.
Just bought this in the orange animal print and I have to say that it's VERY firm - esp. given that there's only 1 hook and eye. The band is boned - firmly - and this provides a lot of support and substance. The cut is quite attractive and the fabric is soft (though I'm not sure if I love this particular animal print). The 32 band fits true to size - it's not overly tight (like Cleo) or overly loose (like the Freyas between 2008 - 2015). I like the keyhole. I do think I could have sized up in the cup - it does not fit large but I'm quite projected. For someone less projected, I think it would be true to size. The undies are particularly luxe-seeming, both short and thong (I bought both). I really like this style and I hope they bring it back in other colourways. I'll certainly try it again.
This bra has been heavily altered, by taking in the cup height (and therefore changing the shape) and moving the straps inward. It sort of has has the shape of a vintage strapless pin up bra now and it works like a charm. Perfect https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Beforehand, after a couple times of wearing the bra, it started to fold at the bottom which changes the shape and support completely. Also the straps and the top of the cups were digging into my armpits, because the cup height was massive for my short roots, Now those problems are solved too!
Freya Deco models like the Spotlight and Vibe fit me better than the old version Decos without the trim along the cup edge. I find old Decos are very FOT friendly and my even fullness is just not enough to take advantage of all the vertical space in those cups. The Deco Spotlight is perfect in terms of vertical height and volume. If you have even breasts, you might find this to be a better fit than the regular Decos with no trim along the outer edge of the cup. Alternately, if you are FOT, you may find that the Spotlight cuts in creating quadroboob whereas regular Decos do not. The straps are as wide as other Decos of the same size, but are more ribbon-like both in thickness and appearance. The band is pretty much the same as other 30G Decos I own. The wires on this 30G fit like a dream.
My favorite Freya bra so far! This is now the 4th Freya Deco I've purchased... and 28GG fits better than any of the others (28G was too small, 30G was too big, 30FF *strapless* too tight/shallow on the cups) but this one fits perfect! I also really love the cute design on it, finally something that doesn't look like a "granny bra"! (and it was on sale for only $29.99 on amazon!) Not sure if it's my imagination, but the moulded cups on this feel a little more firm to me than any of the other regular Deco's (it could also be that the older ones are now ...worn out and this one just feels firmer because it's new)... The band does not feel as tight as the 28G.. it's snug but comfortable (when I first purchased 28G I struggled to get the band on, it was pretty darn tight till i 'broke it in') No quad-boob or nip slips..the gore is tacked firmly on sternum.. very happy with the overall fit and comfort. If I could change anything about it, it would be to make the straps a little thinner, they are pretty thick looking for such a cute looking bra (but I suppose that helps with support so I really shouldn't complain). I do wish that the 28in bands had straps placed a little closer together, I have a small frame with narrow shoulders. Read more 130 more words
If straps are an issue, you might want to give Comexim a try. They'll move in the straps for free if you ask in the comments section of your order, and their higher priced bras come out to about $40 in USD. You might also email them sklep@comexim.pl and see if they'd be willing to make your bras with thinner straps.
Cute! I second the rec for Comexim, I get straps moved in and it's so much comfier! I'm a 28/30 as well.
I've noticed that since I went from a DDD to a G that many G bras have wider straps and the straps are set further apart. The straps on my old bras were perfect, but I've had more frequent issues with G bras. So I think it's something with either certain brands or the way they adjust sizing for a G bra vs smaller sizes. I get that they want to give you more support, but it would be nice to have the option for a regular strap. :)
I'm glad to see your review of the Deco. I'm anxious to try it out and recently ordered one from a UK store on eBay. I have one other Freya bra (the Marvel, which I really love apart from the really snug band and the occasional sliding of the strap).
vrwriter There are definite scaling issues, and some brands are more guilty of bad scaling than others. It's part of the reason Comexim is so popular.
I'm a Deco fan too! I have this bra in 30GG. Recently, I've lost some weight and now need 28 bands. I am hoping that a 28GG fits me in Decos (the other Freya balconnet bras I have tried have been 28H). I am off to try to find some on sale! I haven't tried Comexim or Ewa Michalak like so many others have recommended. I find them to be less accessible than the UK brands like Freya, Panache, Cleo, etc. One day I will try them, but I keep finding good bargains with 2 day delivery on Amazon on the UK brands and that is hard to pass up!
SavvyL The regular Deco (not followed by words like Charm, Rebel, Vibe, etc) is said to run a cup size large, so it may work for you in 28GG. And when you're ready to try Comexim or EM, Erica at A Sophisticated Pair, Jaimie at Bra Obsessed, or Aisha at Zathiya can help make them more accessible for you, especially since they already carry those brands.
So, I now own this bra in 28DD and 30D, as I just grabbed the 30D when I found it for 70% off. My bra size fluctuates pretty wildly over the course of the month, so having this in 2 sizes that each fit some of the time is a good thing.
Ooh La La runs deep in the cup and small in the band. Even on the loosest hook, the 30D's band fits like my other 28 bands. I suppose it will loosen over time, but the band of my 28DD hasn't stretched much in the months I've owned it, so maybe not.
The pale pink is pretty. ...These pics were taken under very warm light, so it's really a more neutral pink than it looks. The mesh is entirely transparent, if that matters to you. It's incredibly comfortable as long as the band isn't too tight. There's slight gapping along the inches between the place the strap attaches at the shoulder and the end of the underwire...but I get that with most bras made in the last few years. I don't know what's changed in bra design because it isn't an issue in my older bras. (I'm so tempted to put a dart in, but I'd probably regret it.) Read more 102 more words
Just a perfect fit for me. The band feels the same in 30HH as it does in my Totally Tartan and Hello Dollie in 28J and Flourish in 28HH. Cups are pretty closed on top, but I'm really short-rooted, so that's not a problem. Boobs are resting in the cups in the most natural way and there is a wonderful amount of uplift at the same time. I feel perky and supported in it. Definitely love the bra!
This is my go to bra. My workhorse. My hallelujah-angel-singing-it-fits-like-a-dream natural boobs bra. This is my best fitting bra, hands down. Better than my EMs, better than any other Freya, better than Cleo, better than Comexim.
Tl;dr - this is my number one bra if I want a supported, natural look, or if I'm wearing a button down (EM S's don't fit under my button downs).
Bra description: An unlined, 3-part balcony plunge. Nice wide straps. White, with colorful, neon (coral, yellow, lime) firework polkadots. The pattern goes all around the bra (cups, band and entire straps). The top part of the balcony is a sheer white mesh with ...minimal white and neon yellow embroidery. The whole look is set off by 3 neon yellow bows. All in all its a cheerful, summery bra that's fun and bold without overwhelming.
The top part of the balcony is quite broad (2.5" at the widest point) which is why I love it so much. I have fairly narrow, projected, short rooted boobs with a lot of center fullness. This bra has great depth, including lots of immediate projection. There's also plenty of room at the gore for my center heavy boobs - I don't get any wrinkling, quadding, tacking issues or whatnot. The cups are the perfect height, and I can fill out the top of the bra without gaping, wrinkles or quadding. As a comparison, the top part of my Freya Ooh la la (also 30F) cuts in a little too quickly and is a little too tall, so I get weird gaping under the top part of the cup, and a little bubbling near the gore. If I were to complain about anything about this bra, it might be that the wires are a hair on the wide side, but they don't cause any discomfort or fit issues. The band is stretchy (as most freya's are), but no where near as bad as my Freya halfcups or deco. Its more of a comfortable stretchy - it stretches for my expandable ribcage, but it doesn't stretch out or ride up (I still use the first or second set of hooks).
I seriously love this bra. I love it so much I went out and bought another one in the yellow colorway https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It creates a great, supported, rounded, yet natural look (not round like cleo, but not as pointed as my Freya Oh la la, Rio or Tropics). It is not as front and center as Cleos (which make my boobs super upfront and narrow), but more front and center my SMs, and certainly more than any padded bra. The shape is nearly identical to what I get in my 65FF SM Ty Weisz, but the cups are shorter on the Ignite, so I don't get the slight gaping that I do in the Ty. It's my go to bra for anything where I want my boobs to fit under a button up or if I want to look a little smaller/slimmer under a fitted top. It gets a lot of wear (in regular rotation with my EM S's and SMs) and it's held up like a champ. Read more 425 more words
I wore my freya ignite (yellow) today. This and my cleo Marcie (also yellow) are probably my 2 favorite bras that I could probably wear everyday
I have this style in a different pattern. It is just as incredible as you say. It's one of my absolute all time favourites, besides my EM's. I might have to try this pattern out too.
I love mine, too - in yellow 28F. Was initially a bit roomy, but I gained weight and now fits perfect.
EDIT: After breaking this bra in, it's my favorite. The cup is shallow, but it's the only bra I own that doesn't have a gore so high that it gouges my in the cleavage, so I'll live with the shallowness. I do wish it came in a 30HH (I'm trying to wear it on the loosest hooks for as long as possible, but I would really prefer it to be tighter).
EDIT EDIT: I bent the underwire as per Bras I Hate, and the fit at the bottom of the cup is now just about perfect -it almost eliminated the shallowness problem.
~*~
I've tweaked this review a few times.
I have ...three problems with my bras -
-in my size, the underwire width often stretches the cups to be more shallow than is necessary, forcing the wire to sit an inch below the crease of my breast
-the gores are all too high and typically too wide
-the bras that don't have high gores almost always only have two hooks, which I don't think are sufficient to support GG+ cups.
The band is quite firm for a Freya, and the underwires are VERY wide - wider than I need, but I a size down would be too shallow to consider.
I had hoped this bra would solve all of my issues; it didn't. But it pretty, it looks nice under a T, and it's fairly comfortable - much more so than the Jasmine I've been wearing. Read more 131 more words
I so wanted this bra to fit because the print is lovely. It's got a lot of fit issues, I'll list them out: The cups: too small! I would say this bra runs small in the cups. Either that or it's too shallow for my average/slightly above average projection. I'm quading on both sides.
The wires: Very narrow. I think I can size up in the cup and get a fit because these wires are so narrow. A larger cup might be projected enough and the wires shouldn't be wrapping around my back. If I can try this in larger cup I will. These are super firm, ...very stabby wires. They stab on the gore and sides. There is no cushioning at all, and with wires this firm, if you don't have much padding around your rib cage it might be too uncomfortable to wear.
The band: Why is it so lose?? I measure a 26 band, but even so I can tell this band runs loose. It lifts off my frame at the bottom. It also only has 2 hook columns. I take really good care of my bras and so I like my bras to have longevity, seeing only 2 is disappointing. .
The straps: Ouch, my armpits! These are thick, stiff straps. All straps are wide on me but because of the size and material they really dig in and hurt. It might soften up with washing. I've never had straps that weren't short enough before. They are very stretchy and I had to put them as short as they will go, it's OK, but I would prefer a more snug fit.
Overall this is a very strange bra, fit wise. Only 2 hook columns, stabby wires from hell, loose band and straps, wide and very hard straps. It doesn't feel supportive because everything is so lose and stretchy. And so the hunt for something that fits me continues... Read more 217 more words
