Just got this is the mail. Do not like. I'm already self-conscious about having a square, blocky torso. I was hoping this bra would add some shape. It didn't. :/ I hope someone else could use it, it is very pretty and has nice thick straps.
The Freya Deco is well-lauded and with good reason. Solid, quality construction, gives amazing lift and cleavage, nice, smooth appearance under clothes, beautifully firm band. Unfortunately, I believe I may be between sizes on this one. I don't get quad-boob unless I draw my shoulders all the way back, but then I do ever so slightly. Bear in mind I do have rather broad shoulders so doing this may have a rather exaggerated effect on me. I'd size up, but when I go to a 30G I don't quite fill the cups.
The straps are very comfortable, and I love how there are two positions for the straps, so you can adjust how far apart they are. The band is very firm on the new bra; it's a job and a half putting it on, and once I'm settled in, it digs into the ribs on my left side. I'm expecting it to loosen somewhat with wear. The wires are wide enough, and the wings are high enough to feel secure, but not so high that the wires poke. Gore is nice and flat.
The cups have no quadboobing, but there is *still* a strange "crease" / ..."flattening" on the lower half of my left (smaller) breast (the same thing that has plagued me with my Panache Harmony 28DD and 28E, both in black). Pulling the wires right up (i.e. making sure the wires are sitting right on the breast crease, not below it) helps, but I think it's mostly caused by the wires being stretched a bit too much, which in turn is caused by the band being very firm (not very stretchy) on this bra. I'm considering an extender.
I've worn it for a day so far, and it works (no sliding around; the weird "crease" disappears under clothing). I was despairing of ever finding a strapless bra to fit me in a 28 band - the Wonderbra strapless (which I'd heard great things about) isn't available in a 28 band; the cups of the Panache Evie strapless were far too deep for my breasts, leaving most of the cups empty (and sad looking); the cups of the Panache Porcelain closed up too fast, resulting in a strapless bra that *looked* okay, but had weird empty space when you pressed down on the cups (and quadboobing). This bra is so adorable and sassy and I love it! I got some quadboob in it, but the top is open enough to actually make it wearable, so I am determined to make it work - which it does until I pull my shoulders back. The straps got decorative fabric at the front but can still easily be fully adjusted, which is always a good thing if you are short like me. Unfortunately the band s quite stretchy.
The bra gives great support and has enough padding to give lift without being too much. The straps are fully adjustable. I find that the centre gore does come up a bit too high and is occasionally uncomfortable against the sternum, but it doesn't poke as much as my Cleo Juna does. I get some quadboobing from this bra, so I think I need to go up a cup, but the 28 band is quite comfortable on me (I'm normally a 30E)
I thought when I tried it on that this bra fit exactly like the Freya Marina Padded Half-cup (1273) in 34F, but it is a bit narrower of a wire and much deeper. It still is similar in that it is definitely not wide enough, and my boobs don't fill out the cup. Also it appears to be the wrong shape cup but it's hard to tell because the size is so off. This bra seems to be more for narrow, projected breasts, but doesn't work at all for me, in any size I'm guessing.
It is very pretty and I like how thin and transparent the material is.
This bra is just completely the wrong shape. It is way too small yet I still dont' fill it out. It has really narrow wires and is very rounded as far as I can tell.
It is very pretty though, and I like how see-through and thin it is, it's a fun bra.
I like this bra, but it's the first one I've owned that's in my actual size, so I don't have a lot to compare it too. I thought I would hate the soft cups, because I've always worn padded, but I don't mind, and they're very pretty. The gore digs into my sternum a bit, but that might just be an issue for me because I have wires around my sternum (post heart surgery). Overall, I love it right now, and I'll re-review it once I've worn it for a while longer.
This is the go-to t-shirt bra for me. I need to swoop and scoop in a certain way so I don't spill over or have empty cups. Still prefer unpadded lace cups though.
I feel like this fits better than the Deco even though they're the same cut. How in the world? I love the grey stripes and the fuzzy turquoise edging on the cups.
Really pretty bra! I also have the Freya Carys Longline, and the fit is the exact same. Freya is unfortunately too narrow for by broad chest, but I have only found Ewa Michalak to have the width I need.
This is honestly the cutest bra, unfortunately I got it before I figured out my "correct" size and this bra is about 2 cup sizes too small. I don't think I can accurately review it seeing that the fit is so off. The band is very firm though.
I've loved the look of the Totally Tartan since it first came out, so I sprung for it when I saw it on sale. I want it to fit. I want it to fit so badly, and if I didn't know better I could excuse the fit issues. The band is definitely too big - I can pull it out a good six inches or so off my back - but sadly it doesn't come in a 28. Putting it on a tighter hook helps. It quadboobs near the center and gapes where the straps meet the cup depending on my posture - holding my shoulders back as I should definitely helps with that. Slouching even makes the quadboob become gaping! I always thought half-cups would be a decent fit for me, but this bra just has me completely baffled.
I agonized over whether to return this bra or not for a really long time, but in the end decided to return it. It doesn't fit. Maybe another time I'll try again.
This bra is a lousy fit for my full-on-top breasts. After wearing this bra for an hour, I suffer from significant quadboob but only in my lopsided breast (so much that my nipple shows), which is very annoying and uncomfortable. There is absolutely no give if your breasts are not uniformly sized. I know I could size up in the cup but there are too many things about this bra that I hate. I do not like how the bra squashes my breast together (cleavage). This could perhaps be a nice feature for some women, but for me, I need separation and could care less about cleavage and smashing my boobs together. Another thing I don't like about this bra is that I feel the padding is too thick and stiff. Freya is my go-to brand for a great fit, but the Deco failed me.
Typical Freya sizing. It took a couple wears to break in and for the band to feel comfortable and not too tight. It has wider straps than a typical bra, which I prefer actually. Very well constructed. I have full-on-top breasts and each one is a different cup size, so due to the fact this bra is a plunge, I experience slight quadboob in one cup. This is typical for any plunge bra on me, really. I appreciate the fact they continued the fabric into the upper part of the cup (versus lace), minimizing the quad boob effect. A great bra for those experimenting with plunge styles.
