So I decided to see what the fuss with the Freya Deco is all about. I did read on a couple of bra blogs how the Deco may not work for you if you have a wide root and/or are bottom heavy. So I did not go into this expected miracles and glitter shooting out of my cleavage. But, I found this model to be pretty comfortable. I think I need to try it in a different size because 32F just seems wrong. Either that, or the cups are wrong for me. It would make sense that a Freya 32 band wouldn't work for me, because most Freyas ...that fit best that I've tried on have a 30 band (my underbust is 31"). Anyway, I ended up fastening this with the tightest hook. Basically, my cups runneth over in this thing, while at the same time, there is some weird lumpiness or wrinkling going on at the bottoms of the cups where it is devoid of breast tissue. That wrinkling may be due to the cups being stretched too wide in an attempt to accomodate my wide boobs. When I scoop and swoop, the effect is almost comical: quadboob everywhurrr as well as stuff spilling over in the armpits. (There should be pictures with this review -- if you look at the side view photo you will see what I mean by boobs a straining and exploding). I noticed as I wore the Deco throughout the day that I didn't have to do much adjusting. I've read about how gapping can occur once bottom-heavy breasts have settled but I didn't have that problem. Basically all that happened was that the quadboobs settled down. In fact, the Deco made my breasts look quite presentable under a dress with a wrap front. I will probably continue to wear this bra until I find a better plunge option. I would very much like to try the Deco out in a 30FF or 30G before I wash my hands clean of this model. It could be 32F is just wrong or it could be that the cup shape is just not for me :'( Read more 249 more words
It fits me like nothing else I own, if I could wear it everyday, I would.
It's big in the cups, and a bit big in the band, I can wear it on the tightest hook comfortably.
It gives a really good rounded shape and uplift, the band is nice and thick so gives lots of support.
My boobs are high up, close together and quite round, so it's nice that this gives just a right amount of cleavage without any spilling into the middle, or giving a ridiculous huge over the top cleavage as a lot of plunges do on me.
this is my first Freya and i really like the bra. the cups make my breasts a bit pointy. the bra itself stays put around my back and doesn't drift up. my only complaint is that the straps are a bit long and i fear that when they stretch a bit i will not be able to shorten them enough.
This bra is very pretty but does not fit me at all. It's to small for one and gives me a strange shape as well.
The band is quite firm and I feel that the cups might be a bit small as well.
I gave it to a friend who is a 32G/34FF and it fits her well though it didn't give her much lift. She did get a good shape that looks natural and without the characteristic Freya pointiness.
It's good because it gives me a great shape, but I think the cup style may be wrong for me or that the cups are too small. The underwire sits on breast tissue no matter how much I move it, and the centre gore doesn't sit flat, and presses into tissue. The wires are too wide, and the band is quite firm, but could be firmer. I appear to fill the cups until I move my shoulders slightly, and then the cups will start to gap at the tops https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This is a bra that fills a niche that I'd been pretending I didn't need filled for years: that of the moulded plunge. It's a simple bra, but not the too-simple that had put me off the standard Deco or the overdone patterns of all the Deco spinoffs.
It makes my breasts more suited to v-necks, pushing up the cleavage that often sits happily in my other unpadded, more comfortable bras. It's not my go-to or favorite bra, as I prefer those unpadded bras and the more natural shape they give, but it does what I need it to.
I ordered this bra hoping that, since the Deco comes up big in the cup, this bra would be the sister-sized equivalent of a 28HH that could fit me, in theory. Sadly, I didn't find that to be the case: Band too big, cups too small, cleavage insane. Maybe one day, Freya will extend their sizing range.... and make a perfect 28J that isn't shiny purple!
Also, the lace added to the wings of the Deco honey is unnecessary and doesn't make the bra prettier at all.
I don't usually like padded bras, but I love my Deco. It's super comfortable. I measure 29" underbust when I pull the tape super tight but I wear a 28 in the Deco. For the first few wears I used an extender. I like bands to be pretty snug, though, so if you're not concerned about that you wouldn't need to size down. Freya bands in general run a little loose and stretchy, and the Deco a little more loose in my opinion, but YMMV.
The underwires don't come up super high on the edges which is nice for people that routinely get poked, but I have a ...long torso and wouldn't mind if it came up higher! If I slouch the top of the cup gapes a little bit. If you don't have upper fullness, definitely size down in the Deco. I have a good bit of upper fullness - I'm fairly balanced between upper and lower - and I wear a 30FF in most other bras, 28GG in the Curvy Kate Showgirls but 28FF in the Deco. So down both a band and cup size from my usual. It's super comfortable, doesn't scratch, dig, poke, or otherwise annoy, and is invisible under shirts. It doesn't give my fabulous cleavage, but my boobs carry more fullness on the outside and less on the inside so attaining cleavage is difficult. It does do a great job of lifting and shaping. Since the material is very thin, we can see a little bit of my pointy (natural) shape boobs (I don't really like this) The broodery in the front itch me a little bit. It's my first bra since a mesure myself with MWB on reddit.... With my mesurement i should wear 28F, but I was effray the band could be inconfortable, so i try with a 30 first and it fits good.
I love the way this bra makes my breasts look. However, I think it may be too small in the cups as some breast tissue spills over under the arms after I move for a period of time in it. I first tried on a 30G and could barely fasten it because the band was too tight, so I decided to try what I thought was a 32F on instead. I could fasten this bra, and it was a snug fit. I was on the fence about the sideboob thing, but I really liked the way my breasts looked, I admit. My breasts are bottom-heavy, and this makes ...them look fuller on top. I decided to go for it anyway, the bra was on sale for like $30 at Nordstrom Rack. Later, when I decided to enter the measurements into the Bratabase, I noticed the actual tag in the bra -- not the price tag -- actually said 30F! Which makes no sense to me, because the 30G, which I would think would be a bit looser because of the cups, I couldn't fit into. Plus, from what I've read, this model runs snugger than some of the other Freya models. That makes sense to me, because in other Freya models I've tried, a 30 band usually works out pretty good for me. So I don't know really if this is a 30F or a 32F, but I've put 30F in the bratabase, since that what it says on the tag. Maybe I got an off-model bra lol :/ I'd really like to try out this model in a 30FF and a 32FF just to compare. Read more 167 more words
Well, obviously this is toooo small for me. I bought it before I knew what sizes were. The bra itself feels really good around the torso, but the cups seems best for narrower breasts. The band stretches.
It seems good. It sat like a glove, but I missed slightly on the size so it digs in a little on the sternum. The cups were easy to fill for my kind of shape, and the straps sits nicely.
I wanted to try a bra in my sister size (40DDD>38F) so i picked this up at Nordstrom Rack.
Everything fit well (was a little tight but i expected that), but the cups were....strange. I'm not sure if my boobs just arent cut out for this bra, but they didnt have ANY support when it came to the cups.
Pros: lovely uplifted shape, comfortable, attractive black-and-white print. Cons: none, except that I've worn it to death (had it for over a year) and it's stretched out.
I have this bra in brown and it is the most supportive bra I own. I think this is because the center gore is a bit higher than some others I've tried. I can feel some pressure on my sternum but it doesn't hurt me.
Freya has a bit of a reputation for having stretchy bands but that is not what I've found where this bra is concerned. The band is quite firm and the 28G is perfect for me (my underbust measurement is 28").
This bra is not too closed off on top, so it doesn't cut in too much, maybe a ...bit when I take a very deep breath.
It gives a good shape. It prevents my breast tissue from escaping to the armpit and directs it more towards the front, and I like the shape it gives (more rounded than I would expect from an unpadded bra). The seams are not too noticeable, unless I wear a light white top.
The underwires are lined with a sort of fluffy material so as not to be too uncomfortable. The rest of the bra is a sort of mesh. It isn't the softest material but I don't mind it. I would have preferred it if it wasn't shear, I only tried it because it was on sale, but now I am very glad I did try it. Read more 124 more words
This bra is a polka dot version of Freya Deco. However, these two bras are not identical. Crystal is made of fabric that is somewhat softer and stretchier. Therefore the band is a bit looser compared to my Deco, and even the straps feel stretchier (although this might be because my Deco is black - for some reason black bras tend to run smaller than other colours). If you have a Deco that fits, Crystal will propably be fine in the same size. In Crystal the upper part of the cups has a lining (with contrasting fabric that can be seen in photos), while in Deco the upper line of the cup, obviously, is smooth (I hope I explained this understandably..). The lining sees through a bit under certain kind of clothing but not so much that it would be a problem for me.
The only flaw in this bra is that my bottom heavy boobs create a slight "orange-in-a-glass-effect", i.e. there is some empty space in the bottom of the cups. Otherwise the fit is good, which is why I'm wearing this bra even though it's not perfect. There is no quadraboob, the bra is comfortable enough and it gives my breasts a nice round shape. Same applies to Crystal, the polka dot version of Deco.
