  1. Soiree Lace High Apex Bra (5011)

This bra is unique and beautiful, the red color is very bright. Unfortunately it didn't work very well. The gore was a problem for me again, it's too high, too separate, and it sits on my breast tissue. The cup is actually made from a thin mesh, I don't know how supportive it is since it didn't fit me very well too keep. Over the "mesh cup" there is another mesh layer that has the design elements. I think it's really beautiful, but I'm so sad it doesn't fit. The top part of the mesh cut into my breasts giving me noticeable quad boob. This might work if you're very full on bottom and have regularly spaced breasts. My breasts also escape a bit on the sides, I'm not sure if I need a higher wing height or larger wire or what, it just didn't fit so well on the sides either.

This was my first experience with Freya - I knew I had to give their famous deco a try, especially since they make it in a multi-way!

This cup size sorta works on me: though the slight gaping is undeniable, the cups are firm enough that no wrinkling or awkward shaping results. I can fill the cups if I swoop and scoop, but I immediately begin to un-fill them again, as this bra is so loose on me that it would require constant adjustment. Can’t fill part of the bottom of the cup - I can fill it at the front center, but have a patch that extends diagonally ... backward toward the band of empty space - thankfully the fabric is firm enough that it doesn’t buckle. Good amount of padding coverage - not too much, not too little. Wings and cup are MUCH too high, and the painfully cut into my underarms (see photos). Band feels a little too tall on my back, like it’s taking up more space than I’d like. Cute color and button detail on the band, simple and stylish. Definitely need a larger band size - it painfully cuts in, and is a struggle to close on the loosest hooks. The lace on the band is not at all itchy, which was a nice surprise! (I usually hate lacy bands). Multiway straps are long enough and wide enough, and hook into place at the top of the cup and in the back (see photos).

Overall, it’s a good bra, but just not great for me in this size. I’d consider trying it in a 30FF/30F or 32F/32E.

This is one of those bras that is super cute, but just isn't suited to my shape. I only bought this because it was on sale, and the lady at the bra shop was horrible, and I just needed a bra and needed to get out of the store. I really like the lace detail on the band, the colour is gorgeous, but my breasts are always migrating out of the cups (so the comfort is Meh for me because I'm always adjusting myself to get things back in place). I blame my tall roots, and the fact that Freya 30 bands are always just a bit too big for me. I think if the band were tighter then my breasts would stay in place better, but they don't make this bra above 28GG.

This bra is very comfortable but not flattering. The wires are very flexible and distort even when the band is barley stretched. The cup width increases by an inch when stretched. Distorting the wires also distorts the cups making them flat at the top, smashing my boobs. The tall gore is not painful even though it sits on breast tissue because the wires are so soft and pressure is distributed over a larger area. I wonder if they could make a bra with soft wires at the gore and harder wires on the outside because I think that would work for me.

Updated on Jan 07, 2019 Flag this

    • Hmmm. I hate when it is comfortable but looks weird. Do you think that a larger band would have less distortion from the wires?

    • Wire bends even when the band is stretched very little. If I tried a size where the band didn't need to stretch the wires would move around too much.

This is such a fun design. I have been waiting for it to go on sale before buying it. I bought my regular size of 30DD (did not want to pay the higher price for 28E), and as usual the band is a tad looser than I prefer. My short roots and soft tissue do not quite fill the cup to the top completely, which I am used to in this style of freya bra. Nothing I can’t overlook. I’m not a fan of the bows they added, they seem more like an afterthought or something just tossed on for an extra touch. The lace top of the cup has a bit of stretch, but not much. The rest of the cup has no stretch. The color isn’t as vibrant in person as I thought it would be, so it is a tad underwhelming (I love a bright bold bra) but fun nonetheless!

I slightly fold and tack down the lace for a smooth finish with a few, unnoticed stitches as I do not fill out the Freya 28D's in this model style either. More esthetically pleasing to the eye!

    • This is such a good idea. I never really considered to alter my bras before! I might give it a try.

  6. Flourish Plunge Balcony Bra (1541)

    like

    32DD

    Didn't fit

With no mesh lining inside the cups, this is a truly unlined bra.
I was quite surprised to discover how tight the band is. It's as large as a 34 band, which is my usual band size, but it lacks the stretch. It feels really tight at the underwires. Not quite painful, but close enough to feel somewhat uncomfortable, which is made worse by the stiffness of the underwires. This must be the least stretchy band and the stiffest underwires I've seen, worse than my Cleo bras which don't feel uncomfortable at all.
The cups are moderately narrow and have a lot of projection. Almost all bras are too ... shallow for me, but not this one. The cups fit well on the bottom, but the lace, which has practically no stretch, is seriously wrinkling on top near the apex. It seems like this bra requires much taller roots and a bit more upper fullness than I have. The fit isn't too bad for my FoB and narrow shape, but it's not great, aesthetically. Which is strange as projected high apex plunges almost always fit me perfectly, but for some reason, not this one.
This is a really cute and joyful bra though. I've always loved Spring styles and vintage prints, and the white lace and the floral print seem to be inspired by 80s nostalgia. If only it was as comfortable as it's pretty.

Edit : after 2 days trying this bra on, it's definitely too uncomfortable at the wires, the wires are a little bit larger than I'd like, and the cups are much too wide on top for my short roots. I could have sized down for narrower wires, but it would be a bit too shallow for me then. I guess there is no way to make this bra feel comfortable for me no matter the size, so I'm just going to return it.

    Didn't fit

The Freya Fifi was a wonderful gift from myself in the mail, and it arrived and it just looked sooo cuuuute. Unfortunately as it turned out it did not fit me, as I have more breast tissue under my nipple on the bottoms of my breasts. And this cup shape doesn't have enough immediate projection to accommodate that, so I wasn't filling out the bottom properly and simultaneously spilling/quadding on the top. I certainly looked cute though! I'll be looking for more longlines in the future.

The fabric is really soft and the 4-part cup doesn't have any seams or fabric parts that are scratchy, and aside from the bad cup fit, it's a pretty comfortable bra. The band isn't too tight and certainly feels like it will stay in place. There's not enough immediate projection at the bottom of the cup for me so Iwouldn't recommend this for FoB shapes, but it's hella cute so give it a try if you can!

This bra is so beautiful. The fabric is lovely, light and smooth. This animal track print is really striking and the navy lace accents are very complimentary. The fit of this bra is off for me. It is about half a size too small. I have tried similar styles in 30F and found them too large, so I think this may be a Goldilocks-style for me. The gore on this bra is nice and low and the band feel true to size.

The fabric isn't super nice to sensitive skin, a common problem with Freya bras. Like everything from the Freya Fancies line I've tried the band runs at least a size too large. I am a 32 in almost every other bra I've ever tried over the last 6 years, but I have to sister size down to a 30 band in these. The straps are wide and the pattern of this bra is beautiful though. This bra is still narrow but leans more average.

I have yet to find a Freya bra that works for my narrow, projected, even, centre-full shape. This bra is very deep at the apex and allows for the full length of my pendulous breasts to point out, so there is no quadboob. But there is too much room in the bottom of the cup, so not enough lift in the shape for me. I do like the narrow gore and the materials are sturdier than the other unlined freya I tried (Etched Esacpe), but this bra would suit breasts that have more bottom fullness than mine.

The band, gore, and straps are perfect. The cups are entirely too small, shallow, and have low coverage. The long-linedness of the bra is cozy and supportive, and I wish all my bras had such a wide, tall band. The quality and finishing are quite good. The strap adjustments and hooks are easy to operate. The color is a serious f---weasel fuchsia, with a true teal and tangerine accents: lots of pop. If I didn't pop out of the bra as well, I would certainly keep this one.

Wow this is at least two cup sizes too small. From you other pictures it looks like your shape is full on the bottom (hard to tell). You may have better luck with the Cleo Piper ( http://bra.pe/MFhB/ ) in a 32H. The Cleo Breeze could also work if you are more full on top ( http://bra.pe/MFFz/ ).

Thank you! It is a comically poor fit, isn't it. :) I will check out your suggestions!

    • You could try going up a couple cup sizes as well if you love this bra! Looks like it could potentially fit well. I think you would really love Comexim and Ewa!

Weightless, no structure, stretchy nylon and stretchy lace. Fits pretty well. Does not control bounce but it lifts and shapes a bit. White printed pattern has faded off black fabric over time (a couple of years of hand-washing.) I could probably use an H cup if they made one.

This is the second time I’ve bought this bra. The first time was before I discovered Bratabase. It was much too big for me so I ended up returning it. I kept thinking about it though - it really was a great bra. I’ve been converted to cut&sew bras, but I have a few tops that just don’t work with seamed bras. I need a moulded bra to make them work.

A year and many, many bras later, I decided to try it again - this time in the right size.

The fit is pretty much perfect! It’s rather projected and accommodates my FOB breasts. There’s a tiny bit of ... gaping at the top of the cups, but not enough to bother me. The cups are rather closed, but they don’t quad or cut in anywhere. The moulded cups hold their shape nicely without being overly padded. The gore is nice and high and I feel completely supported.

The cups give a nicely rounded and lifted shape. The cups sit a little more east-west than I’d prefer, but it’s not bad. I think I’m just spoiled from Comexim’s narrowness.

The bra is definitely full coverage. The cups are tall and could easily peak out through low-cut tops. I’m not crazy about the pinstripe design, but it’s subtle and disappears under thin tops.

Overall this is a comfortable and easy-to-wear bra that will work with most of my clothes. Definitely a wardrobe staple!

    Just Flew In 30JJ

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Just Flew In is an underwire soft cup bra in a balcony style. The color/pattern is lavender “lilac” with birds and cream leaves, with cream lace on the top of the cups.

The band measures 25.5” to a max 32” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.

I have three of this bra - two in nude, one in black, because it was the only thing that fit my wide-set breasts and didn't give me quad boob. After a few years, they're finally wearing out, and when I've tried on a new one in stores it feels too small and I get quad boob.

After another professional fitting, I was told I probably ought to try a 28GG or a 30H.

My breasts don't feel supported in this bra anymore, and when I scoop and swoop, my breasts are so projected forward that I have to tuck them back into the cups.

These have lasted a good, long time, and worked well for a while with my sloped chest.

I looooveeee a Deco. I really love that high, round shape they give, and they're so good for my full on top, squishy breast tissue. True, the Vibe has a firmer top of the cup than the regular Deco, which sometimes cuts my squishy tissue in a way that looks like just the slightest bit of quadding if I move a certain way or my tissue shifts a certain way with wear, but the softness of the regular Deco would sometimes leave my soft tissue going any which way it wanted (which was usually towards the center).

I actually got this particular bra a long time ago (approaching ... 4 years ago) when I was first getting into sizing myself for bras--I stopped wearing it because it was too big in the cups. I dug it out just recently because my boobs have grown, and it fits great now! All of my many, many 30G Decos are a bit too small now, but with some wiggling I still like to wear them.

The side wires are too wide for me, as is the case with every Freya bra I have, but I am not bothered by this. The side height is great for my short torso. I also really love Decos' thick straps; they're very comfortable and sturdy.

Overall, what I have to say is that when Decos are great, they're great, and if you have a shape like me and enjoy the same kind of breast profile I do, you're sure to like the Vibe (and Decos in general) too.

PS: sorry that some of my pictures are a little oddly angled or if I'm standing a little weird--I just moved (and will again in a few months) and my setup isn't the best yet

The band in the Deco vibe (1704) seems to run very snug. If I go up a size the width of the cups are too wide I’ve noticed this in the 30G and 32G but I love the smooth line under clothes, and also very supportive. I tend to very slightly after wearing for a few hours to have a little boob trying to escape in the center but doesn’t create quad boob effect. I’m trying to find the right size/style since my weight loss. But for now this works!

My search for an optimal unlined bra continues. I have a tall wide chest, that is slightly shallow on top and full at the bottom and center. (I also have linebacker shoulders) I purchased a 30DD instead of a 32DD, because I've noticed that Freya's bands tend to stretch a lot, but sadly this is also not the one. I really like the color, the feel of the lace, and the back. But once again my shape doesn't work for this bra. I've got that weird wrinkling and cutting in at the top, which I think indicates the bra is too projected at the top for me. Something similar was happening with my 32DD - Panache » Rumeur Full Cup Bra (7405) Does anyone have any suggestions for unlined bras that would work for slightly top shallow, tall, bottom heavy boobs?

    • 1

Maybe Curvy Kate Ellace? top lace is stretchy, im FOB/Even with tall roots and works well.

    • This be a is not too projected for IMO, the cup just cuts in too quickly for your tall roots. Sometimes those sorta wrinkles are caused by a bra that's too small. I have Claudette 30c and I get those same lines really badly but in my 30d I don't have them quite as much. Check out Tutti Rouge, I think their styles would work with you quote well. Stick with your normal 32 band size unless you like Nicole, then get a 32 with a cup size or two smaller.

    • LeProfessor Thank you for your suggestions! So do you think that is the case with the 32DD - Panache » Rumeur Full Cup Bra (7405)
or is that wrinkling something else. I will definitely check out Tutti Rouge!

    • I feel like the problem you're experiencing has to do with the angle of the wires and how flexible they are. When the band pulls the wires back, it's pulling the gore into your chest. How is the band tension on you? Is it better with an extender?

    • 1

I've experienced this painful gore situation, too. Even when the wires were overlapped from top to bottom at the gore and bent away with pliers, it still hurt. I added an extender and then had insignificant support. Hmm...

    • I have similar experience not only with Pulse, but basically every Arabella-like cut. Darcy, Lyla, each and every one. It's just because their construction don't really work with my body. The gore is too high, wires too narrow. I TRY not to buy new ones XD but this colour version is exactly my favourite colour combo, so I had to buy it. I also got neon lime bra, bralette and briefs. If they made a longline I would have bought it, too. XD

BTW, with this cut it really helps me to take one cup size bigger, one band size smaller - thanks to "wire-wrapping" it makes the cups wider and more shallow. I can wear it for a day, but I try not to wear it day after day, but change to some more comfy bra.
