I was pretty discouraged when my Lagoon color Deco ended up showing through my shirts, but here I am again with another Deco. This one doesn't have the thick cup seam at the top! Despite what others said, it fits about the same as the Lagoon - not significantly taller. The cups are a bit less deep but that's the only measurement that is different really. For whatever reason the gore seems to sit on my tissue a bit more though, but otherwise I'm happy with the fit. The wires are perfect for me! Any narrower and they would be on my tissue. I've never had a bra ...with wires so close to perfection.
After a failure with a 30E with a giant band and tall, deep cups I decided to size down to 28E for shorter cups and a smaller band and I believe it is the best size with me in Decos. I wear this with an extender currently.
The color on this one isn't as fun as Lagoon, but I appreciate the gray. I wish it was a bit lighter gray - it feels like faded black kind of. Read more 83 more words
annabellynn it's great you're getting a better Deco fit in this size and style! I'm still searching for my perfect T-shirt bra. Deco cups seem too high coverage and the wires too narrow for me, unfortunately. I have to live vicariously through people who get a great Deco fit, lol.
I'm not seeing the gore sitting on breast tissue. This is my main fit issue. Only Heidi Klum's Poolside Affair Longline's uniwire doesn't create this problem on me. Can you do a straight in front shot?
I just realized there is a straight front shot. Please disregard my request in my first comment, annabellynn .
I ordered this based on my recommendations here but it was way too big. There was a huge gap at the top if my shoulders were not pulled straight back. At first I thought this may be because I am full on bottom, but the cups were also too wide on my sides. I will order it again two cup sizes smaller and hope that it will fit better.
Overall assessment thus far:
Seems very sturdy. Comfortable fabric I like the molded cups however, I notice a bit of a line that forms at the top of the cup. I am not sure if this is simply because it is too big but I feel it may be noticeable under clothes. Despite only have two clasps in the back it seems very supportive. I am not narrow shouldered but I found that the straps were too wide for my comfort. I am hoping that this again will change with the smaller cup size.
Great cleavage bra. very comfortable despite not being my perfect fit. I've actually got a lot of immediate projection but my tissue is very soft so it didnt matter so much that the bra is constructed a bit shallowly.
Quick review -- I FINALLY have a molded bra that fits! As a 32J/JJ, there aren't many (ANY) options for smooth molded bras in my size, until now! Several people mentioned that the Freya Idol runs quite large in the cups, so I took a chance and bought one. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! The cups are definitely roomy enough to where I don't have any quad boob at all, despite it technically being a smaller cup size than what I normally wear (so yes, it does run 1-2 cups big!) Of course, it doesn't fit as perfectly as a Polish bra, but it's close enough ...that I feel comfortable wearing it when I want a smooth look. Yeah, yeah, everyone knows I'm wearing a bra and seams showing aren't really that big of a deal, but I REALLY like having a smooth bra for those couple of really thin (ahem, cheap) t-shirts in my closet. I can handle the cups being a tad bit too wide and the gore not tacking if I only wear it once a week or so. The cups are a bit more east/west than what I'm used to (because Polish bras put everything up front), but I actually like that I have a different shape option. I notice that if my boobs are slightly a bit more out to the sides, then it helps contrast my waist better from the front. If my boobs are out front (as with Polish bras) then my silhouette from the front has my boobs in line with my waist. It's nice to have both options just to be able to create different looks.
I've only worn it a couple of times so far, but I'm impressed that the bottom of the cups hasn't collapsed by the weight of my boobs yet. There's slight buckling at the bottom and sides where it's too shallow/wide, but it's really very slight. It's not nearly as bad as the too-small Elomi Bijou Banded Moulded Bra (8720) or Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) that I tried to squeeze myself into! Read more 247 more words
Runs large in the band, small in the cup. It's less open on top compared to other Deco models, so I get less gapping. It gaps a little on my larger side, but I think that's due to being small in the cups. I don't have any problems with the gore, despite being close-set. It also gives slight cleavage.
I have a love-hate relationship with the Freya Deco. On one hand, it gives unbeatable cleavage and a high, rounded profile to my even-to-FoT boobs. The lowish gore is great for my close-set shape, and the cups are pretty much completely seamless beneath thin knits, whereas the newer Decos have prominent edging that lessens their usefulness as T-shirt bras (I ended up selling my Deco Delight, Vibe and Charm because of this). On the other hand, the cups are a little too shallow at the bottom to stay in my IMF all day long, so the wires migrate down slightly and DIG at my ribs in what would be my optimal size (28G). However, the increased band space in the 30FF seems to mitigate this problem well enough to make keeping Deco around worthwhile. If only it had more immediate projection (almost an impossible task in thermally molded foam cup bras!) it would be perfect. Still, despite its downfalls, it is an exceptionally useful and versatile bra in the beige colorway, and I find myself wearing it a lot.
i could barely get this fastened until i used an extender. center gore comes up Much too high for me and center wires are too close set. the lace isn't scratchy which i really appreciate.
Ah, I don't even know where to begin with this bra! Just a total shape mismatch. I have quadding AND gaping happening - quadding in the middle of the cup, gaping near the strap and the center gore. I don't feel like my boobs are going to stay in this bra. The sides of the cup hardly contain me, and I feel like I'm spilling out all over the place.
Read your post this morning, then received the same bra in the mail this afternoon and I'm having the same problem. Very slight quad when I swoop and scoop vigorously, but gaping at the gore almost constantly. :( The height of the cups does work better for me though.., if I could just fill out the center gore area! Ugh
Ugh, yes! I'm so disappointed. This bra was recommended with a 1.21 weight for me, too. Hopefully Cleo Riley will come out in more basic colors and I can forget all about Deco.
This bra fits more shallow and wide than other Decos I've tried - I think my best size in the wired Deco would be 30DD or 28E, due to 30E bras being a bit large, but apparently not in this soft cup. Sizing up for larger cups would help some, but I worry the cups would then be too tall and wide.
I'm actually shocked it measures so shallow and wide. There is space at the bottom of the cups on me since it is shallow, but otherwise I like the fit pretty well. It's unwired, but the shape and lift it gives me is comparable to any of my other moulded bras. I'm going to give it a few more wears and see if I decide to keep it. I would try a 28F if a cheap one happened to pop up.
Not for boobs with more than 2 fingers of separation (I have 3 fingers of separation) - it will dig in and give comical cleavage! I also experienced about 1cm of gaping at the top of the cup, which it appears this bra is infamous for. Wires under arms cut into boobs, even when bending wire wider. Really sad to see I can't make it work...the band and straps are a dream https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The Freya Deco has been my go to bra for a long time... but now I'm starting to grow out of it, I guess? I've always found that my breasts get pushed together and spill out the front of the cups. I also get wrinkling at the bottom of the cups becasue they are too shallow (I guess? Or my breasts are just too heavy, lol.) These issues seem to be getting worse. I still love the shape the Deco line gives, and it had solid padding without feeling like you are adding to your cup size. I think the width of ...their cups is perfect for my shape, ad I don't get poking under the arms liek with so many other bra. All in all, the Decos are awesome but I'm currently exploring other bra options, so see if I can find other favorites. This is the basic Deco model. I find this model to be the most open on top, compared to other Deco versions, and so I have the biggest issue with spillage on this one. This particular bra has been well loved, but is in good shape. Read more 91 more words
This is a cute bra - nice patterns and the lace is pretty and flattering. It almost fits me, but is a cup size too big. I can't tell how well the shape fits on top being a size too big. The band is also way too small for me for comfort! 30" bands are still very snug on me but are supportive enough. For reference, I am more FoB/center and projected somewhat. I may purchase this in a 30E later on.
This is my first longline ever. I really like the look of it but it's so dang hard to do up! I'm just going to keep messing around with it until I find the best way to do so. I got it in a swap and I think that if I had been actually buying it I would have gotten a 30 back. Luckily for me the 28 is Freya's typical stretchy band and it stretches to 29.5. There are 6(!) hooks and 3 rows of eyes which is very nice. The print extends all the way to the back of the bra which is very nice and ...all the trimmings are black. It's a nice, soft pattern that's not garish. The band is comfortably snug but flips up a little if I do something like bend over. The wires are a little wider than I need but not bad at all. I'm surprised the gore tacks because it is very wide at an inch. There's some overall wrinkling in the cups and on my right side I can't quite fill the bottom. I get a little quad on my right side too if I stand up straight but other than that it's a near perfect fit. Perfectly spherical and comfy. I think I was built for halfcups! The straps are wide and very long but comfortable with no digging. I get a nice subtle cleavage too. Another grip is the lace at the top won't lay down and I wish the back was a leotard back because I think it would look prettier. It looks a little awkward with the straps attached like they are. I was going to wear it as a crop top for drinks and such with friends but I'm not sure how actually comfortable I'd be with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with this bra. Just gotta figure out the best way to hook it up.
Edit: After wearing it for an hour or so, the band is either too tight or too constricting. I think it's the latter because it stretches to the perfect length. I must put this up for swap because it won't get too much wear from me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 266 more words
Longline bras (or even midi-length which is what this one really is) feel much more constricting than a regular bra due the the width of the band. Although you may be able to stretch it manually, on the body it will fit smaller. Most people actually size up from their regular size. If you love this one you'll want a 30 or possibly even a 32.
wendybien Thanks, I didn't even think about that. I assumed it would work because of Freya's penchant for loose bands but it never occurred to me I might have problems with tightness due to the length of the band.
Yes even with Freya's stretchy materials a 4-5" band will have more "pull" than a regular bra band.
I was very excited to get this bra because my friend in a different size swears by it. For reference I'm a 28e, somewhat shallow, wide rooted and even to bottom full, often end up in 30dd because 28 bands are hard to come by. This bra wants way more upper fullness than I have. Also the bottom is extremely shallow which is fine for me but seems like a strange fit. The wires are nice and wide. It has a leotard back and the straps are fully adjustable, which is great for those of us with very long or very short torsos. I have the black and purple colorway and I love it but the fit didn't work for me.
Update: so what I took for this bra asking for more upper fullness might just be that it wants more projection in general but with a high apex. The cup depth is bigger than what I usually wear but since it's so shallow at the bottom, i wasn't able to tell
As you go up in cup sizes with this bra, they only make the cups wider and wider, and they gain practically no projection. If you're very shallow and wide, this will work for you, but I found that the underwires wrap far around to my back.
What a beautiful bra! Lovely bra, green with white dots, very good material, supportive, the padding is not too thick, so no complaint.
Well, I think it's one of the most comfortable bra I've tried, but my boobs have got bigger so the fit wasn't perfect. The cups indeed seemed a bit small, I would probably need a 30G.
The band was obviously too large for my 26-28, but I am used to alter all of the cute bras I can't find in my size.
Overall, one of the cutest bras, I will keep it even if there's a quad boob effect, it's just too comfy!

Update : The Freya half cups are just not for me. I tried most of them in the past 2 years, and can't find anything that isn't cutting into the sides or the top -or both-, or making my boobs look shapeless. I've reluctantly decided to stop trying half cups.
After failure with 32E I got this beauty in 32DD (but Id definietly prefer in 30E! so if anyone has it and wants to get rid of it please contact me!). I must say that im highly surprised! If this bra would be hard padded like EM CHPs it would give exactly th same effect! It has 2 vertical seams, the separation of cups could be narrower but its fine. Band is very comfortable and it doesnt have boning so I can wear it. The wires are quite narrow but not as narrow as my lovely EMs. Overall im glad that Ive tried the bra
I just "discovered" my real size about two weeks ago and this is one of the first bras I've bought using those measurements. I measure in at a 28E, but those are hard to find, and at Nordstrom Rack, I gave the 30E a shot. It fits! I am a 30e, at least in this style. The underwires go further back on the sides of my torso than I'm used to, but I think this is a product of cups that fit me. The cups are all filled out perfectly top and bottom so I guess this is the right size.
Update: Feb 2016. Now that I'm better versed in what fits, I can see that the wires are you wide on this. I do fill out the cups just fine otherwise. I'm putting it up for swap.
The Marvel is my current favorite everyday bra. I have two in this White and Aqua colorway, one in nude, and one in the black-purple. The bra looks fairly seamless under clothes, and the circle pattern is really cute without being juvenile. The wires are wider than I need in the 30F, but I'm currently having a bit of cutting in at the top in the 30E. I wear both depending on the time of month. I would say this fits similar to the Freya padded 3-part cups, but not as open at the top. Also, it's unlined.
