I think this bra was trying to kill me! This band must run small, I'm not sure. It was very tight and the underwire was painful under the breasts and all along the sternum. I think that the band was so tight it was pulling the wires very wide at the side and making them dig in more than usual. I did have some wrinkling and gaping at the top of cup that was tolerable, but the horizontal seam was tight enough to cut into my tissue with the lace not smoothing that enough. The blue color was not my favorite. But overall the bra actually looked quite ...nice. It's jut not wearable lol. The center gore width is very narrow. But, something very strange was happening with the wires as I mentioned above. The inner wires kept folding so that one of the wires was between my breast and the second wire would fold perpendicularly and sit on the side of my breast. It was very strange and I have never had this happen. I am returning this one. Read more 72 more words
I really liked my Freya bras in the past so I thought I would try them again in my correct size now. Against my better judgement knowing that they run big I got a 30H, which is the sister size of my calculator size (28HH). This bra is very very slightly too big in the cup. It is definitely far too wide in the cup, and only a teensy, almost unnoticeable amount too projected (or maybe just projected at a point that mismatches slightly with the peak of projection on my own breasts). I love the crisp, white look of the bra though. ...I think the exterior fabric is a bit rough, but the interior isn't scratchy or irritating to my sensitive skin. This is one of the only bras I've found with the 3-piece construction where the top strip isn't too tight on the top of my breasts and flattens them down. The gore is a little high for me, but not as stabby as my Cleo Maya, however, it's so wide on my close-set breasts that it folds over on top of itsself, so the wires overlap. Read more 90 more words
This bra is great. Super comfortable for my very projected, narrow root, full on top breasts. My only complaint really is that I can't seem to find a sweet spot for the straps, making them either too tight or falling off.
This bra is one I haven't tried on in years. Before kids it was a more tight fit along the top. I also had a major growth spurt followed by breast reduction and 2 more kids, and now it fits again, and actually is a little gappy at the top. Beautiful bra, very light with a strong construction.
Pros: Band is very comfortable, stays in place Cups give a nice rounded shape and are very comfortable Even with slight excess space in the center of the cups, it still looks pretty smooth under t-shirts
Cons: The scalloped detail on the straps and bottom of the band is a little irritating Straps can sometimes move too far to the outer edge of the shoulder (don't fall off, just not optimal) Cups sort of fold in in the center where there is excess space, kind of awkward shape?
Actually fit me very well in the cups but just didn't impress me with it's looks. The band is quite snug so it would be uncomfortable in summer. Also, it is tedious to do up five hooks.
This Freya Expression Plunge is not a love match for me. There's way too much gaping at the top (which is rare for me). I also need more projection at the wire and the cups are quite wide for me.
Slight quad boobing on my bigger side, but smaller side fits perfectly. Definitely less gaping at top and sides compared to 8E. Upon removal, wire marks sit perfectly on smaller side, but wire marks indicate sitting on breast tissue on larger side.
The band on this Freya is on the snug side compared to the Freya Fancies that I have tried. Even though it's also unlined, the wires sit further apart than the Fancies unlined plunge.
This bra is pretty darn good, super comfortable and plenty supportive enough for most day to day activities. The lace details are really nice and in my opinion adds to the comfort.
This bra doesn't have quite enough bottom projection for me. It's forcing my breasts upwards in the cup to look for space. When standing or sitting very erect the fit is good, but if I sit, bend over, or slouch then gaps appear at the tops of the cups. The band feels very firm and is comfortable. The gore is a tiny tiny bit wide so that one wire sits partially on my breast tissue. These fit issues, similar to the same fit issues in different bras, are mild in comparison. It fits well enough but it's definitely not "the one".
The colors are pretty, the padding is flexible. It has two vertical seams in the cups. The straps are a good width. There's a tiny little silver diamond charm on the gore. Under a t-shirt the cup seams would likely show. It seems to be well made.
This bra and me don't get along. The cups are too widely spaced and one side or the other has to have the underwire sitting on tissue to fit. The cups had extra space on the sides between the strap and the wing. I think a lot of issues are due to the band being too big. The band rides up my back and I end up with huge gaps at the top of the cups, while after I scoop and swoop the cup is pulled down so that the edge is curving away from my body. Underwire are in the wrong spot and digging in under my arms.
This bra is really pretty. It gives me close to my natural shape, just more supported and a bit more round. But it causes me quadding because of the diagonal seam. The band is relatively not as firm as a Cleo or Panache, and it felt like it was moving around, but I don't think it actually did move. The embroidery is nice and well done. This bra feels a bit more "free" compared to others because of the mesh material. The embroidery is nice and well done. I think this could be the right bra for someone.
This is a bad shape for me, and too large of a size. My breasts fill out the bottom of the cup, with just a bit of extra space and loose fabric on the side. The top is too big, except for the top edge is cutting in and causing some minor quadboobing. It seems like if it was a proper size and fit, it would give me a rounded shape. The top of the cup is not stretchy. There are some loose ends on the embroidery.
I normally wear a 32J in other Freya bras. I tried this in a Large based on the size chart for the Freya Fancies Bralette, which recommends a Large for up to 32HH. The cups were a little small, as I expected--I overflowed a bit out to the side. Unlike the Freya Fancies bralette, this has hooks and eyes in the back, so I can tighten it enough to prevent it from riding up. This bralette is made from a very soft, cottony material and is very comfortable to wear. I also purchased this in gray.
