This bra "technically" fits well but it doesn't do me any favors. The cups don't offer enough support for my breasts, which gives me more of a conical instead of spherical shape. The bra also doesn't have much give to it, which makes it a little uncomfortable.
This bra is super comfortable and gives great shape, but isn't projected enough at the bottom for me - repeated wears have caused the cup to buckle to accommodate my projection.
I was hoping this would be good because so many people love it and I was looking forward to ditching my previous poor-fitting strapless. But it's wrong for me in so many ways. I literally made this account to whinge about it, and then I'll return it.
The Good: 1) It's a true 28 band! Yay! I'm a small 28 so finding a bra that I can wear on the loosest hooks is rare. 2) It's projected-ish for a moulded strapless. 3) It's not super super closed on top (I'm functionally FOT and most strapless bras dig in at the top on me.) 4) It's very sturdy and high-quality.
The ...Bad: 1) The cups are way too tall for my short roots. Like I could cut off an inch and a half quite happily. In its current state I couldn't even wear it with a scoop neck and that really defeats the point. 2) The wires are really wide. I know I have narrow roots, but these are like, right in my armpit.
The Ugly: 1) The wires are so, so, so unbearably hard. I can see how useful this might be in bigger sizes, but for a small cup size like a 28E it's overkill. It was excruciating after the scant two minutes it took to assess the fit. I could maybe deal with the tall cups and the wide wires, but this is what makes the bra unwearable. This bra's cups are made of non-stretch fabric. There is a seam along the top that does not stretch. For me, I need the top of the cup to be open; otherwise, I end up with quadboobs as I do with this bra.
The band is too long for me. The Freya bands seem to run big in comparison to, say, Panache bands.
This is all too bad since the wire itself fits me nicely.
Runs large in band, recommend to sister size down. My short roots do not fill the top of the cup out, but the gaping hides under clothes and isn’t a deal breaker for me; there is only slight wrinkling near the top of the cup towards where the strap attaches. The bra is comfortable and I experience no digging or discomfort. The design is actually quite pretty, with reddish flowers that match the rest of the design sewn into the lace at the top of the cup. The straps are a decent thickness as well. The cups and lace on the cups do not have any stretch. Good projection.
I know this is like, a really old review, but did this have good projection at the wire or was the projection elsewhere?
I really like the pattern and I see a used one online in my sister size (sizing down in the band) but I'm not sure how well it would work for me. (I seem to need narrow wires + projection at the wire to avoid wrinkling in the bottom of the cup. )
The cups are too tall and it gaps a little at the top. It is a shape mismach while I have short roots. I also tried the 28DD: it was too small and the wires dug in my breast tissue.
That see-through part you see at the center is the actual cup, the pattern part lays over the cup and kinda helps support it, I think. The wires are wide(for size 28E), the end is below the middle of my armpit, which is about 1 or 2 cm wider than other bra's I have. This is great for me, that is where my boobs actualy ends. No more scooping in the sides during the day. Also, there is less bouncing when running up the stairs with this one compared to my other good size non sports bra's. Although that could just be because this fits me better
My underbust is 27.6" and the band is really tight. It leaves me red marks on my skin every time I wear it. However, when I tried it with a hook extender, the band felt less supportive so I guess I made my choice right. It is a decent strapless bra and the wire is wide enough to cover my wide root/shallow breasts. The look is OK, not flattering but not sad looking either - well, it's a strapless bra so what can I expect?
This bra suits me pretty good. Cups filled out wthout cutting in, band is tight and the fabric is soft. The gore almost lies flat to sternum even though I have a converted sternum.
Still there is something about the look that I don't like. Normally I like floral pattern and lace but maybe its the combination of it together I dont like. I probably wont keep this.
I like the cut and shape of this bra, but the cup is 2 layers and the outer layer shifts and wrinkles while the inner layer is smooth against breast tissue. I'm hoping it's just because it was wrinkled when I got it. Maybe things will smooth out.
The band is like one designed for tapered rib cages, a little longer on top than on bottom. maybe thats why on me the soft cups seem to want to splay farther apart for me as I have a like no descension in circumference along my ribcage. Also this band is the tightest of all Freyas I've tried ...which is to say it runs average for a 28. It's still fairly stretchy and longer than I prefer (I like really snug or 26 size bands) but sturdy and comfy.
The cups are not just padded as in moulded but like padded padded. not hugely but there is .25" of ...squishy compressible foam.
The support is only moderate on me I guess mostly because It is not a shape match. I get extreme cup gaping in the centre and plus the cups fold over at the bottom where theyre too shallow to be filled by my heavy immediate projection...the cups sit on My boobs instead of holding them and taking on their shape. If you are shallow and/or want cleavage this would be a good bra to try.
Me: tall roots reaching collarbone, very close-set (touching), average to narrow width, shallow, splayed east-west, even but functionally FOT due to tall roots, centre-full horizontally, size asymmetry. Measurements: 26" snug UB and 34" leaning bust. Read more 113 more words
I'm not really sure what's going on with my boobs, maybe that the shrinkage is more than I wanted it to be? In the areas near the strap placement? While I really did want this bra to work, it simply does not. Since I got this bra used, it could be contributing to the loose fit and the softer cups. I will see if I can get my hands on a new one in the future.. maybe even size down more.
Pros: - Gives excellent shape, comparable to that of a wired, moulded bra - Very comfortable - Awesome cleavage (that I did not get from the 28F bra ...here: http://bra.pe/XMOf/) - Good quality -- I can tell this bra is quite used and it still works great as far as lift, shaping, etc.
Cons: - Cups are very tall - I get gaping if I slouch or move my arms in since the straps are placed too far apart for me (or maybe the cups are simply just too big?)
Overall, great bra. Not giving up on this one yet.. Just will take me some time since I already have like a million bras XD Read more 84 more words
This bra would be so cute on fuller / FoT breasts. Doesn't work for my shallow breasts. Only have used this as a go-to if my standard bras are too tight during PMS. The rest of the month, this leaves a big gap on the outer top part of the cups and looks weird. Beautiful bra, poor fit on me.
Despite a bit of quad on my larger side, this bra fits quite comfortably. It fits about as well as my 60G/65F Comexim 3-part half cups. The only real problem is the bottom of the band - it's constantly flipping up due to the lack of boning that longlines often have. This is apparently a common problem with Freya longlines. I wonder if it would be better if I went up to a 30 band.
I've been wanting one of these bras since I first saw it over a year ago when I was in a completely different size. The print is exactly my style, and the little buttons on the gore are so cute. I glad I didn't manage to get one until now because it would have been much too large for me now had I bought one then!
This is an attractive, good quality bra. I love the mocha colour and it gives a smooth line under clothes. It's not a perfect fit for me but I might still keep it. It gives great cleavage and I like that it is moulded and soft against my skin. If I wore a tight t-shirt, I'm pretty sure the quad boob would show, though. The band is snug for a 28, which is good for me.
I'd say this variation of the Deco is pretty similar to the original plunge. Other variations like the Vibe, Delight, Spotlight, etc are said to be more closed on top, but this is not the case with the Flamingo.
Some small differences between my Deco Flamingo and original Deco Plunge in Lagoon: - The gore on the flamingo is wider (1.2" vs 1"). On the lagoon plunge, the wire channels are sewn together, ie they are touching at the corners. On the flamingo, there is extra fabric between the wire channels. - The straps on the flamingo are smoother and stretchier. - The cups on the flamingo seem ever-so-slightly more open on top.
Otherwise, I'd say the fit is almost identical to the original Deco Plunge: - cups are narrow, tall, open on top, moderately shallow - band is loose
