This bra loves my narrow, tall roots. I can't believe it took me so long to try this one. Since I started my bra journey two years ago, I've been looking for something with cups that fit me as well as my old 32A Aerie Katies (I was smaller then). Now I prefer padded seamed bras to molded ones, but this bra feels like hands cupping my breasts. They are tall and open enough to enclose almost all my tissue, and the narrow wires are just amazing. I don't have a problem with wires that are slightly too wide for me because I have a bit of squish ...around my sides, but it just feels so much better to have wires that are narrow enough.
Under clothes, the top seam is unnoticeable. Maybe if I wore a very tight and thin shirt, it would show more. The shape it gives me is very round and tall. I don't really like how it emphasizes my upper fullness because it makes my breasts seem higher set. They also seem larger since the foam is so thick and stiff. I wouldn't say that this bra gives me any more cleavage than my other bras, but that's probably because I don't have much inner fullness.
My main complain, of course, is the loose band. It is actually very firm, so it's a bit difficult to put it on. But the band is simply too loose, especially for my 26" ribcage. As soon as I hook it, even on the tightest hook, the band starts riding up. It's not nearly as bad as a true 30 or 32 band, but it does feel like there is more strain on the straps. The straps are a tad thick and wide-set, as well as very stiff. It's not much of a problem, but I do have to wear the straps wider than I'd like in order to keep the top edge of the cup from gaping since the cups are so stiff. I'd also prefer the gore to be narrower, but again, it's not too much of a problem. Read more 244 more words
In this bra the cup use to be a little big but the band was perfect when my measurements were 27 underbust and 33 bust, which was before pregnancy. Now 14 month postpardum, my measurements are 29 underbust and 35 bus. The cups fit perfect but the band is too tight. I tried the bra with an extender, but it makes the cups gap and they no longer fit. I will need a 30dd in this bra. The straps are too far apart in my opinion.
Cups fits great but band is too tight, I need a 30dd in this brand. My Measurements are ribcage 29 inches and bust 35 inches. I like the band slightly loose but still supported. I have sensitive skin. I currently wear 30e with an extender, and 32dd witbout an extender. Extender makes cups gap in this bra, most Freya Decos have that problem. Their straps are also too far apart if you are of petite height, I am only 160cm tall or 5"3 in feet and inches.
This bra fits great in the cups, but the band is too tight for my 29 ribcage, a 30dd in this same bra would fit. I tried an extender but the cups gap with an extender, freya decos have this problem, I can use any extender in other brands, but not in the Freya Deco. I think it is because the straps are too far apart.
This is another bra that has become too small before I really could start wearing it. Was borderline tight when I bought it, but now its not wearable without an extender. Even then I get some quadding and or boobs escaping on the outer side of cups..
It's a band small, but with an extender for one row it fits perfectly. Wires seem wide to me, but still work as they aren't up digging in my armpits. Likely works for me as its a band small, so the cups are "narrower set" by nature (?) So far I love it: colors, fabric, design, comfort! I've only tried on so far & am looking forward to wearing it! Edit: worn it and looooove it! Forgot I had it on, was so comfy!
Really wanted to love this bra as I'd heard so many good things about the Deco, but I just can't get on with it. The cups are FAR too high for meand there's no way I'd ever fill them! The tightness of the band is perfect and it's a shame but I can't handle wearing it anymore !
Gorgeous bra. It looks so bright against my medium skintone. The embroidery makes it more sophisticated while the polka dots and felt bows make it cute. The band does run a tiny bit larger than my other 28 bands from Freya. That's okay for me because I've gained some weight recently. The cups are consistent with the other Freya plunge balcony bras I have, it runs a bit large with a depth around 9 inches. I will measure later. It's a great bra for the summertime because it'll really compliment tan skin. I feel so pretty in this set 😊
I should have known better. Freya does not work well for me, never has, never will. Bummer because this is beautiful.
The band is decent for Freya and not ridiculously huge. The cups create a good shape under shirts, but I didn't care for it without a shirt. It doesn't accommodate my pecs and it looks weird to me.
Hi! Can you comment on why the shape didn't work for you? It's very beautiful and I'm thinking of getting it myself but am unsure if it works for wide roots
Sure! renemy I'm narrow and projected with short roots but upper muscle that interferes with fit. There wasn't enough space for me at the bottom, the wires were too wide on the sides, and the upper panel digs into my muscle. Because my roots are short and I lack upper fullness it sort of squeezed my tissue like a sandwich instead of shaping it.
It's cut like other Freya plunge balconies, so if you have one that works, this should too. They've never fit me well, so I'm not surprised this one didn't either.
Huh. I'm wide and somewhat shallow and short rooted and the plunge balconies don't fit me either! What a shame. Such a beautiful bra!
This is the most beautiful bra I have ever seen. I might say this many times but in this case I think that I actually mean it. Lilac isn’t normally a good match for my skin tone, but I don’t have any problem with this one and the shade is just gorgeous. The pattern and the lace are so beautiful and the whole look is just stunning. It’s my dream bra that doesn’t fit. I ordered this some years ago through a local lingerie store, foolishly thinking that my Deco size (at that time) fits in all styles. It was a little bit small back then already, and I have grown a cup size since. Unfortunately 28F-FF were soon sold out everywhere, and I’ve realized that Freya halfcups are a bit too shallow for me anyway. I’ve been holding on to this beauty in the case that my boobs shrink, but it's too pretty to die in my closet so I think I’ll need to let this bird fly away.
I love how much projection this bra has. The band could be tighter. The gore and wires could also be more narrow. There is some empty space on the sides. The shape is lifted and somewhat pointy. I really like how it looks under tight shirts.
Arabella: -Itchy mesh -Narrower wires -Slightly more narrow gore -Underwire is shorter on the side -Top edge is more closed off and can cut in
Afterglow: -Prettier (IMO) -Smooth soft mesh -Upper lace is much more accommodating for upper tissue -Roomier, though both are 28E
Ohhh, it was so close! My 30FF - Freya » Deco Rebel Moulded Plunge Bra (4234)'s fit is a bit off, since it acts like a minimiser, and I hoped that a smaller band and cup will make my cleavage more appealing. Unfortunately this bra is way too small in the cups. Goes straight to listings.
too small really,i get a quadboob when i adjust the straps correctly, band is loose, wires feel wide, the gore doesn't sit flat , this one does not fit me well
This bra fits me if I put it on the tightest band clip and use a racer back clip for support, the straps are too wide for me and the band is too loose for me, but finally the wires are just right for me. so I'm happy with it.
Thank you for your review! I've never thought about using a racer back clip to get more support, I'm going to have to try that. I think we might fit in bras the same way. Have you tried Cleo's Marcie yet? I love how it fits in the cups but the band loses it's elasticity too fast to really make for a long lasting bra. However, Panache's Andorra has the best, most durable band ever but the cups have a conical fit, and the lace is atrocious under shirts without a cami. Have you tried any other bras that have worked for you? I'm still questing for the perfect bra, but I should probably just learn how to sew one.
I quite liked the Marcie but it wasn't great for me the wires felt too wide. I'm trying the polish bras right now, theres so much trial and error in the sizing, that its turning out to be a rather long project, but I do think I'm having better luck with the polish brands. All I've worked out, is that I really need a 60 or 55 back in Ewa Michalak, the closest I've come to a good fit in Ewa Michalak is 65FF but the back is way too big. Comexim I think I must be a 55 J or K but I really have no idea right now. I've tried some 60 H Comexim bras and mostly the cup was too small and band too big, but the wires were much better size for me. Also I tried the Comexim "Snow Biustonosz" and "Basic Bra" in 65G and wierdly the band felt tighter than the 60's Comexims I had previosly tried, but they were still too loose in band and small in the cup for me, I'm not giving up though....
When I bought this bra it fit perfectly, apart from the slightly tight band, but now it is just too small overall, especially on my bigger side. I don't think I gained weight in the meantime. A shame that I never got to wear it. Love the print and the colour, so will look for the same in 28F.
