I was pretty disappointed by this bra, considering how popular it normally is. I spent around $50 on it, which is a lot more than I'm usually willing to spend (poor college student), because I really needed a strapless bra and this had such great reviews. It does fit, and I've kept it because I still really need a strapless bra, but it makes me sad.
The clingy rubber, although relatively effective for keeping the band from slipping, is quite painful and, if the bra does slip, makes it nearly impossible to pull back up. The cups come up so high that it's unusable under at least 2/3s of ...the dresses and tops I have that need a strapless bra, and the height plus the extremely stiff foam also means they hit my armpits uncomfortably. They also gape a bit at the top if I move at all, even though I fill them quite fully after swoop and scoop. The cups are slightly too shallow at the bottom, so I get a gape below the base of my breasts, and it starts to crease the cup. I'm terrified to wear it unless I absolutely have to, because I know the more I wear it the sooner the foam will crease, and once it does, that's fifty dollars down the drain. Finally, it's the most boring looking thing ever, and it doesn't even give me cleavage https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 133 more words
A really good nude bra (which I desperately needed) for really pale people like me. I adore the Freya Deco Plunge because my breasts are so close-set that I really, really, need the low gore this bra provides. The cups are wide but not uncomfortably so, I just have a little extra space on the sides. The straps, surprisingly, are not irritating in my armpits. The tops of the cups are already curving out a little which worries me because I was hoping to wear this under thin tops; in the future I'd like to try the Deco Charm or one of the other ones that has something on the top edge of the cup to prevent that from happening. The band is loose, though wearable; in hindsight I would have gone for a 28G but the 30FF was cheaper on Amazon. Still adore the Deco Plunge style. Really comfy everyday bra.
I'm about 90% in love with this bra. It fits very comfortably except that the straps are very wide and start right at my armpits (where the cup ends) and seems to rub there, which is annoying. I have heard this is common with bras with smaller bands and bigger cups.
I really liked the way this bra looked and wanted it to work. It's probably the best fitting bra I've found so far, but the cups were a little to wide, and the straps cut into the skin at my armpits.
30F/FF narrow and tall roots, projected, full on top
I bought this bra preowned so the band is understandably somewhat loose on me. The primary issue that I have with this bra is that the wires are far too wide for my narrow breast root. After wearing it all day the wires have a tendency to start digging into my ribcage on the sides. Otherwise it is wonderfully open on top and I love the feel of the fabric.
This is my favorite Freya print. It's amazing and adorable and pretty. When I could wear it, I wore it only a few times because it rolled right up my stomach. I considered putting true boning in it, but since it's now far too small in the cups, I didn't bother.
The comfort level is impressive-the rolling up never hurt me, just annoyed me. This is another favorite that I've sat on for years because I love it so much even though it doesn't fit me.
Now I'm going to sell it and hope that it'll actually get worn
1) This bra offers a good amount of coverage and excellent cleavage potential. On a "good" day, I get the cleavage I want and the shape is amazing. This bra adds the illusion of larger breasts.
2) I really need a smaller band. The underwires are really too large for my frame in the 30, causing discomfort under the arms. Often I feel like the bottom is not filling out correctly and there is sometimes gapping at the top depending on my movement.
3) If I wear this for a full day at work, taking it off is the absolute first thing I do when I go home. It does not have the longevity of comfort like my other Freyas.
I have this bra in the pink and charcoal color. It's really cute and I love the polka dots. The nice thing about this bra is it isn't moulded but still padded enough to not show nipples. It's soft and the details make so pretty. The cups are ever so slightly too wide for me. The band also feels more like a 32 band. I have a feeling this will be the bra I wear when Aunt flo visits because its stretchy and not nearly as firm as my other bras that fit. Despite the fact that the band and width isn't stellat for me I'll keep it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> the straps are fully adjustable. It has a two hook closure but still feels more stable then my Cleo Maddie witg two hooks.
This is my third Totally Tartan Longline. I went with a 30FF for a fuller look. The cups on the 32FF gives a more relaxed look. The band totally doesn't fit on the 32FF but wearing it as a halter, I kind of wanted my boobs to just sit and settle in the cups. The 30FF is less loose in the band but still loose. Both feel very comfortable. I love wearing these bras under low back or side cut tank tops and loose shirts. It's a cute way to let your bra peek out and doesn't look like a conventional bra because of the longline aspect. I'd buy more if they had other colours.
This bra seems to fit true to size, but if you have soft breast tissue, your boobs may fall out a bit in the center and create a lot of cleavage. The gore is comfortable and so is the length of the wires. If you are fuller on the bottom then you may have some gapping at the top of the cup by the strap.
My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle
This review is for the silver colorway.
This is a very pretty bra, but I am a sucker for grey knickers (and shoes!). I like that it's a dark silver, and the black lace gives it a very elegant touch. I am also a sucker for cute lingerie in general, and this definitely fits the bill. Plus, it was on clearance at Figleaves, so I got the matching underoos too. Hooray, matched sets!
It's a lot like the Parfait By Affinitas Casey (2801) in terms of fit and the fact that it's a ...little bit like wearing boob armor, but I assume that will relax a little with a bit of wear. It also stands away from my boobs at the top of the cups when I slouch, like the Parfait, but the top edge doesn't curl outward like my Casey has come to do, so I just try not to slump as much (which is good for my back anyway, or something). Like all Freya bras I've tried, the straps seem to be made for someone with a much broader, or perhaps flatter, and thus wider? ribcage than mine, even though I have relatively broad shoulders anyway, and because of this they start to rub at my armpits after several hours. My Freya Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223) does the same thing (and also has a center gore that is a touch too high, which is why I don't wear it as much).
The Deco Charm is very comfortable, though, and minus the straps thing I can usually forget I'm wearing it. I have come to understand that this is the mark of a good bra, so it qualifies in my book. The center gore is super low, which is a necessity for me, so I was pleased at first because of that alone. It has also held up beautifully during some unexpectedly heavy load days at my job, which is very physical and involves a lot of hauling equipment around, when I probably should have been wearing a sports bra in the first place. My close-set, shallow, wide, and tall boobs love this bra. Looooove. Band could be a bit firmer, but I got this used in a swap so it was probably better new. As it is I wear it on the first hook, but switch to the middle as the day goes on. Great cleavage, plunge for low necklines, and comes in basic and fun colors!
My only quibble is that the straps are too damn wide for my shoulders, so what I usually do is clip them together in a racerback shape using a hair clip.
Top edge of the cup is firm and inflexible, causing it to be risky for FOT or even shapes. As a result, I had quadding in this. It's so pretty, though, that I don't want to give up on it, and am going to try a few sizes larger to try to make it work!
1. Wires are too wide. Empty space under the arms (and tight band causes the wire under my right arm to jab into my skin because of a rib flare on this side). 2. Band fits well; might benefit from a 32 instead. Looser band would potentially prevent the wire jabbing into my underarm on my right side. 3. Smallest amount of quadding in the cups on my larger breast. This becomes especially evident as it is worn and the cups shift downward on my torso. 4. This downward shift leads me to believe there is not enough immediate projection at the bottom of the cups for me. 5. Gore is the tiniest bit too wide, and is a little itchy and annoying for me at the height that it is.
I've got full on bottom, wide set breasts that are pretty soft. (I think!) This bra is ALMOST great for me, although I'm yet to find a bra that I don't have slight gaping at the top of the cup with. (I've tried sizing down and find it a squeeze, and sometimes its a squeeze and still gapes, if thats even possible. I found this bra to be perfect separation wise for me ( I'm about 3 fingers' width apart) and the gore was nice and low (I find high gores dig in a LOT.) The band also seemed a lot tighter than the other Freya models I tried today so perhaps try a band size up from your usual Freya size to get a better fit. I also found the straps to be too wide, although this is a common problem for me as I think my shoulders slope a lot.
I am a fairly even and projected breast shape. I have average-to-narrow roots with a slight omega shape. My best fitting bra is a Cleo Lily in 30G.
Before the rest of my review, a quick thanks to learningaboutbras for sending this one my way after reading one of my bra misadventures https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Note that pictures are edited very slightly to obscure nipples.
This bra is good for people who need narrow wires, are full on bottom, and have a decent amount of projection.
This bra is incredibly comfortable - I get just the slightest hint of quad-boob along the top, but ...I also tend to be a bit in between sizes for Freya. The lace cups of this bra are fairly stretchy an accommodating, as well, which means I have quite a bit of leeway anyway.
The nude colour is the best I've found yet for my skin! I tend to be very fair with slightly pinkish-yellow undertones, and most nude colours tend to be a bit dark for me. The snowflake-like pattern is really adorable and adds a bit of interest, given that nude bras tend to be very basic. The pattern is an off-white colour that is unobtrusive, meaning it won't show under clothing.
The shape of the bra is very round and flattering - especially compared to most other Freya bras I've tried, which tend to give me a bit of a "boob torpedo" shape. I love how it looks under clothing.
The band is very typical of Freya in that it tends to be on the stretchy side compared to the likes of Cleo and Panache. It's maybe a *little* looser than I'd ideally prefer, but it does not substantially affect the fit. Read more 187 more words
This bra is great. It's my first longline, but it's comfortable and I'm pleased i can wear it under t-shirts because it's not lacy and bumpy. The only difficulty I have is putting it on the right way—too many clips to do in the back! But that's obvious, since it's a longline—I just have to get used to it.
