Oh my goodness, I'm finally getting around to writing a review for this bra I re/cd last winter! I purchased two Gaia bras, Samira Soft and Chantal Soft, in the same size, 70I (translated to 32G UK) however these are *small* in the band. The BAND on this particular bra measures the exact same as this Ewa Michalak BM Chili https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dngre/ So, I think this band is more like a tight 30 band (Ewa Michalak tight). I know it's black, and technically black bras are always tighter because of the dyeing process. But wow - these two Gaia bras are *tight* in the band (to be ...fair though, these are the only two solid black bras that I own r.n.)
The cup depth is about the same as my 70I (32G UK) Gorsenia bras.
Therefore I think this bra is about 30GG UK, *with a tight band. This Gaia bra has a 4-part cup. I actually went through my bra collection to see if I have any other 4-part cups and I only have one - a soft Comexim! The top part of the cup is lined with elastic, so it may not be suitable for someone with a lot of upper fullness.
I would compare the quality as similar to Gorsenia, which is more of a budget-friendly brand (see this article https://www.thebreastlife.com/blog/10-polish-lingerie-brands/), my Gorsenias are holding up quite well, actually! So, not at the level of quality as an Ewa Michalak or a Comexim bra, which both cost more, but I have found GAIA bras online on amazon for as low as $9 on sale. Granted this was like 32D, or something (so a common matrix size) - that bra was obviously on clearance.
I just checked the prices on amazon.com for these bras, and the average price is around $35 for a full-bust size; however it might be cheaper/easier to buy these directly from Other Eden in the U.K., since that is the amazon seller - they do have a local return address in either the U.S. or Canada if you're in N. America. Just FYI, but you might want to compare the cost of going through amazon, or going through the seller directly (Other Eden).
I actually bought this directly from Gaia's website https://www.gaia.com.pl/ but I used a packing forwarding service, because they only ship to the EU. The cost was 17.53 € (about $17.70 usd) plus the cost of the package forwarding service. Bummer I can't try it on! It's just too small. I don't want to stretch it out at all.
I compared this 70I to all the other Gaia 70I and the band is smaller! Although I don't stretch the bands out very much when I'm measuring them.
I know Gaia does have some die-hard fans in N. America and I think it is because of the SHAPE - narrow and projected cups. For what I paid for this, these are top of the line bras for this price point!! I looked at some popular molded bras and they were about this price, and they would not last as long as this one (I'm just guessing based on the construction, which is similar to Gorsenia).
Addendum: I just checked again Gaia's size chart https://www.gaia.com.pl/tabela/ (note: I use Google translate to read the website in English) and plugged that into the A Bra That Fits Calculator.
70I is for sizes 68cm -72cm in the band 101-102 cm in the bust According the the ABTF calculator, if I plugged in the numbers correctly, it's closer to a 28HH UK (about). note: if one is switching back and forth between UK/EU, you can't exactly "sister size" between them. You can sister size in EU, and you can sister size in UK, but to go back and forth in both EU and UK...it's a little messy. Read more 536 more words
This review is for the Gaia Sandy Semi Soft, in 70G EU (32F UK), color Pink. My ABTF size is 32G/GG UK. (I thought I was buying UK sizing.) {Update: I've since purchased this in 75H and my review for that is here: http://bra.pe/X4Pm/}
Band: * Seems TTS, maybe a little snug. Has 2 hooks by 3 columns.
Wires: * Very comfortable; very narrow at 5.25 inches wide in the 70G.
Cups: * 3 part cup, balconette. The bottom has one vertical seam and has a very light/thin padding. The top is a continuation of the lace layer that's over the whole cup. The lace layer stretches horizontally ...but not vertically. The lace has an elastic edge at the neckline.
Straps: * The straps are fully adjustable.
Fabric: * The Pink color is very pale, almost white.
Hardware: * The hardware is matching pink.
About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, full on bottom, short roots, soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.
FIT
* The band length was ok, perhaps a hair snug, but since the cup is a bit small it made the band too tight. I was comfortable with an extender. * The wires are AMAZINGLY narrow at this size. First time I've had a bra this narrow (including Comexim and Ewa.) * The gore tacked nicely. It was as narrow as it could be at .75 inches, but if I were keeping this I'd consider overlaying the wires. * The cups are GREAT for my short roots, full on bottom. If they were a couple sizes up (without being wider) it would be ideal for me. I've since learned RTW bras don't come in those dimensions. * The straps are long enough but barely, and I'm quite short at 5'4". * The sides are a comfortable height for me. They are a little short, but I actually like that. My breast tissue doesn't escape out the sides but my squishiness does spill over the top a bit. DON'T CARE.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * I really could wear this with an extender and NOT scooping and swooping. But, I want perfect and so I'll keep looking. (I put in a fit request at http://bra.pe/Tbt/ showing the bras I'll try after this.) Read more 268 more words
Definitely seems closer! I bet a cup that’s stretchier would help a lot with the volume issue.
Adler613 - thanks! So I'm definitely going to try the same bra in a cup size up 1 or 2. Plus I might just keep this and unstitch the top elastic. I know damn well this bra is in the wrong size but I have zero wired bras to wear out and I bought it here on bratabase so I didn't pay much.
When I saw it, I thought it would be too big. When I measured it, I thought it would be too wide and small. Neither the first, not the second. It fits. I'm so surprised! It's a light grey bra, very simple very everyday. It's made of 2 matching jaquardes( for the cups) and microfibre( for the band). The wires are not narrow, but stretching the band doesn't affect them. The gore is so narrow for its height, the wires are situated extremely close to each other without overlapping. The gore is not decorated, the only bows are situated where the straps attach the cups. The cups are 3-parts, lightly padded, not very projected at the bottom. But I have enough room even for my fuller days. It's a full cup bra without any elastic at the top edge. The cups slightly gap when I move, but it's not visible under my clothes. The band is not very snug, but it's comfortable for me on the second hooks. The bra fits 28FF/28G/30F/30FF if you're between sizes.
Starting Notes Polish haul bra three of six to review!! Sorry they're so spaced out. Writing such extensive reviews makes me procrastinate, plus a bunch of power outages due to surprise weather, equals gaps in review time. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I bought this Gaia Adeline bra in both beige and black. I thought the black one was a different colorway, as they had the wrong product photo, but more on that later. They do fit a tiny bit differently, so I'll make some notes on that as I go along. This is the review for the beige colorway.
Wires From the time I first put it on, ...to the time I take the bra off, the wire width seems good, but the shape is not perfect. It follows the curve of my root from sternum to the bottom of my breast, and then it's too rounded on the side. You can see the wedge of empty fabric; I added a photo with a red line showing where my root is in comparison to the wire shape. The wires are too tall in front, and they're a bit too separated from me as well. Unfortunately, these underwire problems cause the bra to slide down. I've had this happen to bras in the past; I think Cleo Marcie was one of them. The slant of my sternum just disagrees with the wire height and gore shape! Despite it sliding, I didn't quad by the end of the day. Throughout the day I felt the need to keep pushing my bra up, but then it would press on the sore spot on my sternum, so eventually I just gave up. It's more comfortable sitting not quite half an inch too low. Not having very heavy breasts, I didn't notice a lack of support from sitting lower. So either I'll just leave the bra as-is (it's an excellent "nude" bra for me to have around) or try to adjust the wire height at the gore.
Cup Shape Not quite pointy, not quite rounded. It gathers my breasts out of my armpits, but doesn't push them together, but rather very forward and separated. Looking top down, I get an almost torpedo shape! Luckily the sides are tall enough and underarm elastic tight enough that despite wide straps, I don't get any spill back into my armpits. And the upper cup is also either just the right shape or stretchy enough to not cut into my upper fullness!
Projection It's very projected in the middle, and immediate projection is excellent as well. From my photo of just the cup at side view, you can see the rounded shape. There's a tiny bit of space right above the underwire that looks kind of more flat off the body, but on my body it looks like it's almost a 90 degree angle with my body at the very bottom of the cup.
Band It measure as very small max stretch for technically a 30 band, BUT the wings are a spandex-like knit, not powermesh. They feel stretchy and the wings stretch more than the band elastics, which creates dreaded bulges. I had a first set of photos, but they were more blurry, and I had it on the first set of hooks. I guess despite being tight, the stretchiness of the band made me want to wear it on the second set of hooks when I re-did the photos? It does look like it cuts into me more in the second set (the ones uploaded here). I will probably wear it regularly on the first set, but I took some photos of after wearing it for a day, and the band appears to be curving up directly below the straps in back. I can see this bra relaxing VERY quickly. Also, there's something weird going on with the bottom band elastic, like it was stretched too hard when sewing it along the curve of the cradle. Both underwires tack, quite hard in fact, and despite my rib flares, the elastic still curls up and away from me. You can see this in the photo of it lying flat a bit as well. I provided a photos for visuals.
Straps Firm elastic. A bit wide-set, and I would consider them short as well. Being so wide, I feel like I have to tighten them a bit to prevent them from falling off my shoulders. This probably partially contributes to the bra riding up in back, and it creates angry red marks on my shoulders darker than usual.
Appearance Alright, despite me being nit-picky about the fit so far, I find this bra so beautiful. But it's so simple, how, why?! The fact that the color matches me so well, and the subtle mesh lace is a light mauve over the beige, it's just SO visually appealing to me. None of the photos do it justice; the natural daylight makes it look too orangy, the front-facing camera photos washes it (and me) out, the photos with flash make it just a bit too pink... I'll have to experiment with lighting and a bit of color editing to try to get its true color photographed! Now as for wearing appearance, I like the extreme forwardness I see when I look down. But under clothes... meh? From my three-quarter view with my black tank top on, it's just kind of a straight line from my color bone down to the apex. It looks too upside-down 7 shaped (on no, that's my natural shape!!). I would actually rather lose just a tiny bit of that projection if it would round out my profile just a smidgen. Aaaand "back fat..." I just HATE the combo of firm elastic and stretchy wing fabric. Where bras normally fit smoothly, this combo creates the most unflattering bulges! D': And it gets worse throughout the day as the front goes down and back gets pulled up.
Comfort I touched on this before, the gore is just TOO DAMN TALL. WHY ARE ALL THE GORES SO TALL?? Tall gore = my sternum wants to explode. Also, straps have to be too tight to feel like they won't fall off, so uncomfortable shoulders by the end of the day. Overall, by the time the bra has slid down and the band been pulled up a tiny bit in the back, it's not too bad. It's not killing me like the Gorsenia Miriam bra, but obviously it would be if it were to sit in the right place. So comfort is just "ok."
Summary I like this bra. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Honestly, when I first put it on, I thought it would be my new holy grail bra. I was stunned at the projection I got! At first, it fits my shape so well, makes me super projected, and the color is pretty. BUT, by the end of the day, I just like it. That's all. The gore hurts me, it causes the bra to slide down, it's just an ok shape under clothing, the straps are a bit too wide, and the band isn't powermesh. WHERE'S MY POWERMESH?! It will stick around and be part of my ever growing rotation. And now it's here, for bra science. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> Read more 1102 more words
Another stab at finding a padded style to fit me...
For the price, this is a REALLY nice lightly padded bra.
It's a 3-part (1 vertical and 1 diagonal horizontal seam) padded smooth knitwear balcony with cotton lined cups. The shape reminds me of EM's S style.
It has comfortable, wide, removable, multi-way straps.
Only 2 hooks in 3 rows though. At this size, I expect at least 3 and 3.
Also, the band is less firm than I've grown used to with Ewa M. Not necessarily a bad thing (there are days I'd like a little more give), it is just something to note...
There are no cookies or ...cookie pockets.
I ordered a size up from my usual unpadded/soft size, but it still doesn't fit.
The cups are too big, but still not nearly projected enough for me, as is evidenced by a gore that won't come close to a tack even when the cups are too big. Because it's too big, I can't really comment on wire or strap width because it's obviously meant for someone of a different size and shape than me BUT given how big it is, the wires really don't go that far out under my arm. Nor do the straps. I think if you're the right size and shape for this cup, it'll be a really nice bra.
I'll load more pics and measures tonight..
My quest for a "padded" bra continues. And I'm not really looking for padding. Just something besides a CHP that's thick enough to hide nipples in minus 20 degree temps.
I've got an S in 65G coming from EM and after that I'll get a couple of semi softs (Gorsenia and Krisline) to try. If I succeed, great. If not, I'll deal.
NB. I ordered all these Polish bras, as well as a Nessa and another Gorsenia (these still not even shipped...grrrrr) over Xmas, before I started working with MagdaBras4you
Since our Ewa Michalak group order, I've been working with her to get me more Polish brands to try and I really can't gush enough about how wonderful she is. Her customer service is second-to-none. I'll never buy a Polish bra without her again.. Read more 258 more words
Is that really padded or molded? The structure looks more like a molded bra to me, possibly why it doesn’t fit well.
Sovavosi I know. But it's padded. I just loaded 2 photos so you can see the construction. It's actually nicely done (just not deep enough for my bossy, uber firm and projected boobies) lol
Oh, the inside shots help a lot. They did a good job hiding that seam on the outside.
Sorry it didn't work out. I have trouble with the padded bras as well, so I feel your pain.
And Magda is amazing isn't she? She is our Fairy Bra Mother, providing customer service like no other in the history of bras or business. Seriously, spectacular!
MamaPagan I'm not too disappointed. I have the soft beige Gorsenia. The seam on that one mostly blocks my nipples. 1 goodie out of 3 is a good batting average in my mind. Especially considering how narrow it is and how well it tacks. I'd buy more in this form, but the 200-series aren't in the Spring catalogue. I wonder will those soft cups fit the same? Hmmmmm
Maybe Magda can decipher the style differences for you? Gaia is a bra goldmine in regards to style variety, especially with factoring thrir exceptional price!!! I hope you can find one (or a dozen) styles that work. :-D
Yes, of course I will help. I know the Gaia brand well because I love it myself. Thank you for the kind words.:)
Yes, of course I will help. I know the Gaia brand well because I love it myself. Thank you for the kind words.:)
Thanks.:) I was not sure about the model of this bra. This is a full cup padded bra from the base collection, construction FC1. A similar model is KATE 281 with the same structure. Available in various colors.
FC1 is their Full cup style 1 Here’s prior models for that style if it helps:
From my notes as well, you may like the FC2 style, which is similar but with a wider spaced gore. Prior year models are: SS16: Lillian, Hortensja F16W17: Matilda, Marilyn; SS17: Judy; F17W18: Amelie
There is also a FC4 (SS16: Ginger (blue) SS17: Ginger (tan), Sarah) and FC5 (SS17: Ronnie) style but there doesn’t appear to be that many models released for those. The FC4 is similar to FC1 but with 4 section cups, and the FC5 is similar to the FC2 style.
Oh! And if you can find one, you should try the FCB3 style, Full Cup Balcony (ie Half cup haha) (SS16: Gina (blue), Flora, Emiliana F16W17: Litsa; SS17: Gina (tan)) This one is a demi style cup with removable/multi way straps. Gives a lot of oomph, so think great date night bra with lift! Magda can tell you if there’s any available currently. ☺
Such a lovely bra! How I wish Gaia would expand their range to include my size. I love their styles and patterns. Maybe some day!
I'm amazed at the shaping Gaia's Lilianna gives you, MiskiDwie ! So round and lifted from the side! Thank you for including profile shots. This angle determines whether I'll try a brand that's new to me.
I have the same issue with the bottom elastic on the band biting into me when I wear the Wacoal How Perfect Wire Free Bra. After a couple hours, it can become uncomfortable. I haven't figured out whether this is linked to a temporary situation, like bloating or hot weather, or whether I have to expect it every time I wear the bra. Will you please update us if you find a solution to the Lilianna doing this to you?
My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! Appearance and Fit: This bra is pretty cute! It's a 3-part cup in a soft, cottony fabric. The color is a darker beigey/brown with little white polka dots, and white lace along the top edge. The straps are removeable, so it could technically be a strapless bra. (Though I personally wouldn't feel supported enough without the straps.) I'm not a big fan of these types of cups; I don't feel covered up enough, and like I could pop out the top at any moment. The gore doesn't tack, and my larger breast has some quadding, but I think a larger cup in this style would just be wider than I like. The straps seem wider set on this style, as well.
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
I band size up for Gaia just like for Comexim. Fit is comparable.
Major Shape Mismatch!
But I half expected that. Cups too wide and shallow, especially at centre gore - top doesn't tack for my slight centre fullness. The immediate projection is not bad, but only for the first inch or so as it then goes into a standard one seam/ 2-part ...half cup. Uniquely, this design only takes the seam up to the appex and then becomes one complete piece for the inch or so above the appex. Plus, straps way too wide!
Beautiful mesh cups with attractive, but very fine (so less itchy, noticeable) embroidery with elastic lining upper edge of cup. I really like the dark teal and black together, it gives an over all blue impression. Only two hooks, no side boning, it has a continuous band of elastic but it is very thin and really is more of a bandless style. Read more 98 more words
This review is for the Gaia Sandy Semi Soft, in 75H EU (34FF UK), color Pink. My ABTF size is 32G/GG or 34 FF/G UK. I previously tried this in a 70G and this review is almost identical: http://bra.pe/X4DN/
Band: * Seems TTS. Has 2 hooks by 3 columns.
Wires: * Very comfortable; very narrow at 5.5 inches wide in the 75FF.
Cups: * 3 part cup, balconette. The bottom has one vertical seam and has a very light/thin padding. The top is a continuation of the lace layer that's over the whole cup. The lace layer stretches horizontally but not vertically. The lace has an elastic edge at ...the neckline.
FIT
* The band length was great for me; I'm a 32 or 34 and this didn't aggravate my rib flares (though I haven't worn it for much time yet). * The wires are narrow at this size. Comparable to my Ewa. * The gore tacked nicely. It was as narrow as it could be at .75 inches, but I'm going to try to overlay the wires. (I can wear a narrower cup so that should be fine.) * The cups are good for me and give great lift. They seem to be for even height and I have short roots, full on bottom, so there's a little gaping on top. I plan to sew the horizontal seam tighter to reduce the depth at the apex; it looked good with pins. * The straps are long enough but I'm quite short at 5'4". * The sides are a comfortable height for me.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * I'm keeping it! For such a low price I don't mind trying some alterations and I think it's a close enough fit that some small alterations will be just great. Read more 228 more words
The overall fit is too small! I had to double check the label that it was the right size. I needed an extender to be able to fasten the band, and once on, the cups were much too small for my boobs. The size of the underwire is actually okay and comparable with my other bras, but the cups are much too shallow. This bra is a fail for me.
About me: center full and close set, narrow roots, full on bottom with tall, gradually sloping roots that make me functionally even in some respects.
I purchased this bra after trying the 65F Sandy Semi Soft and finding it too small in the cups. I find that Gaia bands run big/are very stretchy, and that's the case with this bra, as well. I lack the upper fullness to fill the top of the cup, so it gapes/falls flat (it's too structured to wrinkle). I really wish this bra were a good fit for me because it has quite a lot of room at the gore and the wires run parallel for longer than most, so the splay at the bottom is minimal. There may be something about the fit that I'm overlooking or missing, but I can't tell what that would be.
I think this would work well for someone with similar attributes to mine but with more upper fullness and someone who doesn't mind a stretchy band. For the right person, it would make a lovely t-shirt bra.
Fit: Fits tight in band, cups are true to size - equivalent in volume to UK 30HH/32H, maybe a bit roomy in cups. Deep and narrow. Too tight in band and too large in cups for me.
Construction: Bottom part of the bra has two sections and is padded, maybe a tiny bit thicker than the average Polish padded bra. The padding feels soft and is at least partially cotton. The outer side is a semi-matte stretch knit fabric, probably nylon (polyamide). The top section is a stretchy mesh with a very stretchy elasticated edge. Will probably conform to varying top fullness. Partial band construction. Gore has two layers, ...the bottom non-stretch, the top same nylon as the cups. Straps are thick, sturdy, fully adjustable. Gore is slightly wider than average to make room for attachment for the decorative detail. There are two positions on the straps - a tighter and a looser one, so it has a bit of leeway regarding tightness. This may also be why the straps are so thick - to make room for them. Side boning, band elastic is placed over the boning channels so they're covered on the inside and don't poke. The elastic used at the upper and lower edge is very soft, especially the lower edge - this is probably the nicest and softest elastic I have felt so far. Side wing material is a single layer of stretch mesh. Has three columns of hooks and eyes, and three rows.
Appearance: Black upon black, many different textures. I was mainly drawn to the obvious (but removable) decoration - a little reminiscent of a bat, or a moth, or a very abstracted floral motif. I was afraid that it would look a bit cheap - it is clearly machine embroidered lace but the quality is good and it doesn't have that weird shininess that some cheap lace has. The design is also abstract to the point of leaning towards elegance. I feel like recently I've started to appreciate thicker straps a lot more - they sometimes feel more proportional, like here. On promotional images you can see that they're thinner in smaller cup sizes but still quite thick and still convey a specific look. To me they feel powerful, intentional, and therefore to me confident and sexy. They are mostly matte apart from a slightly more shiny small triangle detail at the edges. Center gore and strap seams have small, almost modest and unobtrusive black bows. The gore and bottom part of the cups are covered in almost matte black fabric. The top section is a sheer matte mesh with a very slightly sparkly black elastic edging - again I really like the proportions here. I feel like the designer did a really good job with proportions when it comes to a bra with quite a few points of attention. The side wing is again something new - a less sheer stretch mesh with shiny half circle/moon details. Read more 385 more words
Despite technically fitting well (I think), this bra puts a lot of pressure on my shoulders. Making the band tighter distorts the rather soft wires, so maybe I just need firmer wires? I don't know. The bra is well made in my opinion (no fraying in areas where I'd usually see it on some cheaper bras) and the wires are nice and narrow, though quite flexible/soft and there is lots of projection at the wire and gore. The cup is made of light foam (padding) with the upper/outer third of stretch lace. There's no plastic strip along the edge like some bras have. There is very little room between the cups, which is nice for close set breasts, and the wires stay parallel for longer than many of my other bras, which is great for those with center fullness. If only the wires weren't so soft!
This bra is nicely constructed. I used their sizing chart which placed me in a much larger band. I should have went with my regular band size as this band is very large and doesn’t fit correctly at all. The cups are nice. I may order in a smaller band/larger cup. It’s very narrow and projected.
I thought I ordered this bra in 65G and 65H, but, apparently, after drinking wine, I ordered 65I instead of H.
Consequently, I have 1 bra that's a little too small and 1 that's a little too big and I guess the "just right" is still back on a shelf in Poland https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This is a gorgeous, super light and airy bra that would be perfect for summer.
It's a sheer milk chocolate mesh with turquoise embroidery.
I wear a 65G in Ewa Michalak unpadded styles, so I would say if you're a 65GG with those, this would fit you very nicely as the cups are deep and projected on this style.
This bra is really pretty. Too bad about the 'wine incident', lol
oh, this wine ....;)
Oh wow. I'm not normally a big fan of sheer bras but all your selections have slowly been converting me lol. This is really a lovely bra.
It is gorgeous! Are you going to reorder in 65H, before wine? :-D
Omg. You're too funny. No. I've got a few others that, if fit, I will like much more than this. I've got Krisline coming and I'm very hopeful because they make tanga panties in XS and, yes, I only want matching sets and I'm sick of paying twice to get panties remade.
Haha! I hope the others work for you. Matching sets can be nice for sure! :-)
Renee is a pretty bra with nice contrasting colors (thank you Mandapandarawks for sending it to me!). I love the tiny daisies. I got this in two sizes and the larger is a better fit for me. It's a shallow, half padded cup with stretch lace at the top. As my usual, I have difficulty filling out the top lace but the bottom of the cup stays in my IMF. The straps are wide and a little wide set, but they stay in place. The band is very firm.
My shape: FOB, Narrow shoulders and roots, soft tissue, projected Appearance: This is your basic beige padded bra. It's a 3 part construction cup, with one vertical seam up the middle and one horizontal across the top of each cup. The top part of the cups are made of stretchy lace, with a piece of elastic along the top of the lace to help keep it down. There are 3 sets of 2 hooks. Fit: I was disappointed that this didn't fit me nearly as well as the other semi-padded Gaia bras I have tried. The cups are quite a bit wider, as well as the straps. The fabric eats ...into my armpit; there needs to be a rounder curve there for me, and it's more of a straight angle up the armpit to the strap bottom. I ordered this from Amazon, and it was shipped by Other Eden. It took about two and a half weeks to get to me here in the US from the UK, so not too terribly long. As the fit is so wonky, I am returning it. (Unfortunately, I have to pay for return shipping, which I didn't realize when I had ordered it; I figured Amazon would cover that cost of return shipping.) Read more 98 more words
They have a US return ship address in AZ though so you're only looking at around $5 to ship it. :-)
Yeah, that I can stomach! I don't mind losing a couple bucks, especially if it means trying new bras. Next brand I want to try is Gorsenia!
If it helps, this style is SS11. I can't remember which models worked for you, but if you remind me I can tell you what style #s they are to aide in your Gaia search.
Where is that style info, by the way? You are a bra wizard (or shall I say sorceress!) for knowing all of this!
It's always on their website (as linked above for Leona) and also on their catalogs which are downloadable pdf files from their main site https://www.gaia.com.pl near the bottom of the page. Each bra will have the style number listed to aide in finding the same fit. :-)
Be forewarned that Goesenia has wider set straps, at least in the sizes/styles I tried (even with the cups being too small the straps were too wide set.)
My Shape: FOB, narrow shoulders and roots, soft tissue, projected Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra! Appearance: Padded, semi-soft 3 part cups with white lace tops and darker gray fabric. There are little white daisies with red centers allover the band and the cups. The straps and elastic are all white, and the bows at the gore and straps are red to match the daisies. The hook fabric, on both sides, is black, which is odd since that doesn't match the rest of the bra. Fit: Another Gaia success! Narrow cups, wires, straps, hooray! I just wish there were 3 instead of 2 hooks. The bra is rather squeaky, too, but it doesn't bother me too much.
My shape: FOB, projected, narrow roots and shoulders, soft tissue Many thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra to try! Appearance: Though not one I would initially pick out myself, this is a pretty cute bra. The cups are padded with one vertical seam down the middle, and black stretchy lace at the tops of the cups. The fabric is a darker beige color with black polka dots all over, and the straps and band are both beige. The elastic on the inside of the band is black. The straps are quite wide and not as stretchy. Fit: Honestly, I am surprised this fits me as well as it does. Based on the measurements, it should be too big, but I think the padded cups help keep it from being too large. The straps and the taller cup take some getting used to, but the bra itself is really comfortable. The wires are narrow, as most Polish brands are, and the straps are not too wide, hooray!
My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. (Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this to try out!) Appearance: This is a 3-part padded plunge style bra. The top of the cup is black, and the bottom has a striking black and white houndstooth pattern. The straps are black elastic with matching white houndstooth pattern about halfway up the strap. Fit: The straps are quite wide-set on this particular Gaia bra; they, and the fabric of the cup, dig into my armpits. I have gaping at the top and the gore doesn't tack. The band seems a little on the stretchier side for a 70 cm.
Definitely seems closer! I bet a cup that’s stretchier would help a lot with the volume issue.
