Two-part/one-seam and lightly moulded cups: flexible light/thin padding. Balconette or half-cup. Cup material is silky inside and out.
Great immediate projection and open-on-top shape. The depth is greatest along the top at 9” exactly and the depth along the apex is 8.5”.
Band is like a 28.
Wings have firm boning. Wires are firm. Wire channels actually slightly overlap at the top of the gore, which is the first time I’ve seen a British brand do this.
I really love the dark purple, but for me, a 28F, this is too big in the cups so I’ll resell it.
Cups are made of soft, flexible padding and a mesh overlay. The cup shape leans towards shallow and wide and closed on top. It can fit my immediate projection.
straps are wide and fully adjustable and potentially too widely set for some wearers. they are by my armpits but i don't mind this in bras as long as it's not so bad.
band runs a little short and firm for a 28 and is made of mesh. gore is on the lower side for a balconette. wire channels are narrow and the wires are strong.
I need a more open cup due to tall roots. The support ...is great thanks to the firm wires, short band, wide straps, and how the cups mimic my shape: deeper immediately at the bottom but not very projected at the apex. Because the gore is low it doesn't interfere with my lack of space between breasts.
*****update: my first wear of this bra, for some reason, was more optimistic than my subsequent attempts. Now i see that it is too shallow near the gore because it wants to ride down my torso. Read more 80 more words
This bra is obviously gorgeous, and pretty sexy. There's not much more to be said on that.
So on the bad side, I find the straps at the tops of the cups to be a bit too loose on me, though they're elastic. It looks great as I pose for a frontal picture with it on, but as I move around the straps droop and become uneven. I'm wearing it right now as I type this. I'm laying on my side and the straps are just floating. Not the most sexy thing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I suppose there is a fine line to walk with ...a bra like this - if the straps were made tighter, they might cut into someone elses upper fullness. Is this common/expected for strappy bras, though? I have a strappy bralette and the straps will float at times, but nothing like this.
Tightening the shoulder straps definitely improved this problem a little bit for me. I think someone with sewing skills could easily take in the top straps, but I have none. Not sure I want to ask mom or grandma for help on this one https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />. Also not sure I feel like finding a tailor to help.
I'm pretty happy with the overall fit of the bra. The band seems to run true-to-size for a 30. The cups are a great width for me. The gore might be a tad wide.
I'm not sure if I'll keep it yet, but if anyone in the US has been watching posts about these bras and wishing for one ... let me know before I rip the tags off! Read more 172 more words
Thanks to the person who posted this bra couple of days ago! Is such a lovely piece. Ive ordered 32DD and 30E. 32DD - im gapping, the band is too loose and the straps over boobs are too long. The 30E, straps are slightly too wide set, however doesnt bother me, the band is slightly too tigt - need extra row from the extender, the straps over boobs are perfect and the cups are perfect. Overall bra has lovely quality and design! and the price was great as well!
As an American, this was my first experience with Debenhams and their "Gorgeous DD+" house brand of bras. They remind me of a cheaper version of unpadded Cleo by Panache. The band is soft already and I can see it stretching out, but for £5/$7 on the clearance rack I'll take it! There's a good amount of immediate projection and the wires are a bit wider than I need. For reference, I believe I have narrower roots, even to FoT, Omega shaped. My best fit in Cleo is Meg/Marcie/Melissa.
One of the most comfortable bra I ever worn. The material of bra is very soft, it does not scratch. The top of the cup is elastic so it will fit your boob perfectly and won't make quadboob. Very comfortable and soft straps. The wires are firm.
I bought it because I wanted to use its straps for my EM Motyl. However, the bra is so cute that I couldnt do that and actually got reply from mrs Michalak that they will replace straps. The bra inside is stretchy satin like material - so so so soft! The white polka dots make it looks really cute. Unfortunately, i need 1/2 size bigger in cups as im getting quadboobs in ithttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> otherwise is very comfy
It's a shame That there is a tight, uncomfortable piece of elastic on the side of the bra between the strap and underwire which cuts into the side of your breast. I could just cry since the rest of this bra is so comfortable. It is an all cotton bra with nice narrow, short wires. I have tried to stretch the elastic on the sides to no avail. I am actually thinking of cutting it, but I have done this to bras before and then the hand stitching cause irritation.
I am full on bottom and usually a 30F/FF. I got a 32E because I liked it and that's all they had available. Obviously the band is big on me, but I still feel supported and it is a decent fit otherwise.
Depending on what my boobs are doing on a given day, the cups are either a little too small and there's a bit of quadraboobing, or a little too big and the fabric puckers and wrinkles a little at the top. Again depending on my boobs, sometimes the gore is just right and sometimes it pokes some of my breast tissue a little, but it ...always lies flat against my sternum and doesn't really bother me. The wires rub a little under my arm, but I usually forget about it after a while so it hasn't been too much of a problem. It holds me in completely on the sides. It does cut a bit high under the arm, so it will peak out of some shirts and dresses at the armhole.
The straps are fully adjustable, which I like because I often find that bra straps are a little too long for me. Also, most of my bras fall off my right shoulder a few times a day, but this bra stays on both of my shoulders for the whole day.
It is overall pretty comfortable and it's very cute and fun. Not bad for the price. I don't wear it that often because I am always worried about it showing through my top (although it isn't actually that noticeable), so I am not sure how well it holds up over time. Read more 167 more words
Sounds like an okay bra (: I have a few of those, they are the best we have so far. Oh boobs, why can't you just stay the same size!? Right? Do you too, dream of the day you magically have a ton of money to get a custom bra made for you?
Backstory: I have another Gorgeous by Debenhams bra in 30E. It almost fits me although my usual size is 28G. I don't have noticeable quadboob in it and no noticeable side spillage either. So I was curious how a 30FF would fit me if 30E is not that bad. Boob type: Firm, FoT.
So I got this bra in 30FF. And what you know, it fits perfectly. The wire is narrow, which is what I need, and it seems sturdy as well. The cup doesn't cut in on top of my boobs, although there's a ribbon on top of the cup. That usually causes problem for me, but ...not this one.
The band is really firm and tight, so even though it says 30, it is actually 28.5 (If I pull it to 29", the wires start to distort a little). I think Gorgeous bras run tight in the band? My 30E also doesn't stretch out to be 30", more like 29". On my 27" underbust, it is still snug while being comfortable. These days I'm leaning more and more towards 30-bands instead of my usual 28", simply because I feel it still gives me support while not compromising comfort.
As for the bra design itself, oh it's so cute! There's ruffles running along the band. I usually hate ruffles, but this is small and cute enough to add to the aesthetic of the bra. The flower embroidery on top of the cup is really bright pink, so it gives a nice contrast between the white and the pink. There's ribbon running along on top of the cup in mint green and white, plaid pattern. The ribbon on the centre gore is also the plaid pattern, with a pink ribbon on the loop. The straps are partly adjustable, but it doesn't cause problems on me. Others might be put off by this fact.
All in all, I'm really loving this bra, and I intend to find more Gorgeous by Debenhams bras to add to my arsenal! Read more 225 more words
This bra has a 4-section cup, i.e. with side panels for added lift which also help to bring the breast tissue forward and center it - this was the main reason I bought it. The fabric of the cups is not stretchy at all, which is why the top lace section cuts into my breasts giving me a bit of a quadraboob effect (which is a shame because I love everything else about this bra). Straps are fully adjustable and nice and wide (1 inch). The band is made of mesh stretchy fabric but seems firm enough.
This is the first time I took on a bra and was able to say without any doubt "this fits me". The underwire shape is exactly made for me, the cup is shaped almost as I am... On top of it, it looks really beautiful. Only little downside in the fit is that there is a band of fabric running on the top of the cup that cuts into my breast a bit - but it is a minor and easily removable problem. It dosen't seem to serve any other cause than avoiding wrinkles in women less full on top so I can put it away.
The bra gives a very pleasant rounded shape and puts the girls exactly where they should be, but they have a little more freedom of movement than I'm used to. But this actully adds to the comfort for me somehow - they're not as pressed as with those more fixed bras.
I did notice a few threads that haven't been finished very neatly, but I'm really happy with this bra
Got it secondhand new with tags. The underwire slightly pokes me on the sides after wearing it for prolonged periods of time (might have to sew some fabric over it). The band was tighter than what I usually wear, but not uncomfortable or painful, and the cups fit nicely. It's a very soft comfortable bra.
As an American, this was my first experience with Debenhams and their Gorgeous DD+house brand. It reminds me of a cheaper version of unpadded Cleo by Panache. The band is already soft and I can see it stretching out, but for £7/$5 on the clearance rack, I'll take it! Decent immediate projection and the wires are wider than I need. Total shape mismatch for me. The cups came way too high but were also quite tight so that left my boobs being squashed downwards and outwards and nothing to fill out the top. The band was quite tight too despite being a 32.
Surprisingly this fit better than I thought it would, and I'm used to Ewa and Comexim bras. Slightly too wide, slightly too shallow and that's about it. It was comfortable too.
This bra fit while I had more milk, but wasn't very comfortable. The way it's cut makes the material rub against my arm and is quite sore by the end of the day. The band is a tighter one, which for me is a good thing since I have small ribcage. Definitely not for a true 30 band size. While the band fits, the center gore doesn't lay flat against me. Tons of room in these cups now days too. The straps are way to far apart for my liking. That's actually probably part of the problem why I get the painful rubbing under my arm after a full day's wear.
That is a gorgeous bra!!!! Perfect purples & awesome paisley pattern!!!! :-) I love it!!!
