This seems big, but maybe I am used to wearing bras that are too small. There is no wrinkling in the cup and this one comes up and covers everything, even the fluffy bits under the armpits. The liner is polyester and the other fabric is 80% nylon and 20% elastane. The primary support is from the underwires. Were I thinner, I would say go down a band size than you normally wear (definitely if you are in between band sizes, go for the smaller size), but then the rest wouldn't fit too well. I would be a size 12 if it weren't for the girls, so a ...34 band fits in the waist area. I have another tankini top that the band is better in (size "small") but the cups are tiny weeny, maybe a C, and another that is a 12, but also has ineey weeny cups, plus a band so loose you could drop a water melon down my back. It was definitely time to upgrade. The price was right, only 8 pounds. I assume this is last year's model. I think you can find matching bottoms on Ebay, but I'm planning to just get some boy short bottoms in a matching color. The fit on this is good. I'll have to see how it holds up at the lake. I plan to be swimming, hiking, sun bathing, and possibly canoeing or kayaking in this. I'd really like if it had more support. It's short on me, barely hits my belly button. Although I am tall, my height is more in my legs. Expect to bare your midriff in this one. It's also really tricky to get off as there are no hooks in back. It's just a pull over. Getting this off while it's wet could be tricky.
Update: 10 JUN 2013: I wore this at the lake yesterday and it was great. It was comfortable to wear all day long in and out of the water. Read more 222 more words
This is a very delicate looking bra. Sadly, it is completely off in the sizing. I own other Lepel bras and this one by far is the worst when it comes to size. For starters, it is labeled as a full cup when it's actually a plunge. Also, it fits like a 28G. The 30G was way too small in the cups. It cut into my breast tissue and created a very visible quadboob even under loose shirts. The band also runs tight and the straps are too wide apart for me. I think that the strap problem would have been even worse had I ordered it in 32G. I like how the bra looks but the sizing is way off and so I will not be wearing it.
This bra is very comfortable! The wires are a good length and come up to a good height on the side. Unfortunately, they are far too wide. This was the first bra I bought because it was recommended are shallow shapes. I was under the impression that I have a wide root also as many other girls with shallow breasts do. However, while standing, I realize that there is literally no boob under my armpit and I was more narrow and close together (still shallow though cause it starts up high and little projection). However, the gore does come up a little high and digs in. The gore ...is also too separated. The seam does show a bit under some fitted and thin shirts but that's okay. Also, the seam on the inside of the bra is very itchy on my nipple. I also wish the bra gave a just a wee bit more lift. This bra does fit well for my shallow shape though. It isn't too deep, maybe a teensy bit deeper would be perfect. 30 DD would be too wide since 30 D is already wide. Still, this bra is very cute. I love the little bows on the straps and the little detailing on the band. Read more 104 more words
Fits great for me. I have shallow, wide, & bottom heavy breasts. 28 underbust, 31 bust. The band is comfortably snug on me. The bottom of the cups is slightly too shallow for me so I don't quite fill out the bottom but it's not really an issue for me.
I love how this bra looks, but I'm not a big fan of how it fits. The bra feels really tall on the sides in larger sizes and as a result the underwire jabs into my armpit. Also, the way the straps are stitched to the lacy material on the cup causes a strange seam that constantly scratches at me right above the cup. Also, the strap has this odd way of feeling really loose even though it's tight enough. I can't explain it but it constantly felt really loose and stretchy even though it was fitting me correctly. I wish this bra fit as well as it looks because it's absolutely adorable! Women with smaller boobs will probably have much better luck.
I have this bra in both this version and the plunge version in the same size, and this bra seems to be of inferior quality all around. In the pictures, you can see a bit of a pucker/pointiness just above the nipple. That's not because the bra doesn't fit right--it does--but rather it's because the lace isn't flush with the cup. Overall the balcony seems stretchier than the plunge. I would definitely get this in a 28 if Lepel made bras with a 28 band.
For me, personally, the center gore is too tall and digs into my sternum. In addition, the straps are set slightly too wide, and fall off my shoulders occasionally. Of course, the latter complaint may be because the band is a bit too wide/stretchy.
This band runs small, since it measures the same stretched as most of my 28 bands. I was nervous about ordering this bra at first because I have a 26" ribcage and prefer my bands tight so the fact that it isn't made in a 28 band was worrisome, but it turned out to be perfect on the loosest hook. I like the removable padding since it's good for evening out my smaller breast, but when I have the padding in on the larger side it does create some quadboob. I will say I am really on the line between 28E/F at this point so that is probably ...to be expected. It is very comfortable and it a great basic black plunge so I am very glad it fits as well as it does. I would say this is definitely my best fitting bra at the moment.
One other thing, I have heard this bra suggested for shallow breasts many times, but supposedly they have changed the cut to make it a little deeper. I assume the bra I ordered is probably of the newer cut, as I have an unusual amount of projection for this size range and the depth is not a problem for me. The balcony version is probably better for true shallow breasts. Read more 108 more words
My breasts are shallow and this bra was a little bit too narrow and too deep for me. I had empty spaces around my nipples, at the deepest part of the cups. The gore also dug in a bit. The band fit fine on my 28inch ribs.
Whelp, the gore was a bit pokey but rotating the wire toward the underarm fixed it. I first thought the cups were way too large, but scoop and swoop proved me wrong. The biggest issue is that it feels insecure because my breasts don't sit in the bottom of the cup. Something about my shape must be incompatible with the bar's shape. The straps are also really far to the outside - if I were going to wear it with straps I would definitely alter it. Ultimately, I think a different shape is needed.
Well, the band is pretty darn tight, but still feels like it's slipping down. There is a space at the bottom of the cup that my boobs won't sit in. I keep pulling the bra up and the space remains. Lame. The gore and underwires are comfy at least!
This is a supercute bra. It's an unlined demi cup with a single center seam. It's sort of a creamy, pale yellow color with bright coral pink flower embroidery, but it's much cuter and more youthful-looking than that description makes it sound. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
It's a good fit, the only problem is I find that this style of cup (which is basically the same as Chantelle's unpadded halfcup styles with a single seam) don't do much for me shapewise. It's okay, but not the best.
It is pretty comfortable, but the material isn't as comfy as some of my other bras. The mesh inside the cups is a little stiffer and rougher than many of my bras. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the ridiculous silky Natori fabric?
This actually fits me better than the 38C, which is supposedly my size -- I think I need the extra cup depth from the larger size. I have to wear this on the tightest hook, though, and it's still a bit looser than I might like. Also, the straps are set sort of wide so they cut into my underarms a bit.
Might actually try this in a 36DD, see if that works better. The band is extremely stretchy, though -- I feel like I might even be able to manage a 34. Which is nuts, seeing as my tight underbust measurement is 37...
First off: my breasts are very wide and very shallow. Finding a strapless that works with my shape has been impossible, and unfortunately this bra is no better than any others.
The band on this is *incredibly* tight. My ribcage is 29", and I can barely fasten the bra. There's very little give, so breathing is a bit difficult. For the small amount of time I wore it, the bra did seem like it would stretch out a bit pretty quickly...but it still wouldn't be stretchy if/when it stretches out.
While the cups are lined, it is a very thin lining. The cups seem flimsy ...to me, especially for a strapless. Even though the cups are flimsy, they definitely cut into my breast at the top. While disappointing, this is pretty par for the course for me and strapless bras. I do think this bra would work very well for someone who isn't extremely shallow but still needs some open-ness at the top of the cup.
I want to say this is a very pretty bra, but all I can think of when I look at and feel the detailing is Dryer Sheet. Seriously, the "lace" that covers the cups just looks like a dryer sheet. From more than a few feel away, though, the bra looks very pretty. The detailing on the gore (a ribbon "laces up" the cups like a corset) is a nice touch. Read more 137 more words
I find it very had to get cleavage, and need a bra with push up padding to get it (or at least I havent found anything else that works). This bra kind of does that, but the cups are too wide for me. Part of the problem is probably that I would need a size 28 band, but I think even if it came in a smaller band size the cups would still be too wide. There is a bit of empty space at the top sides of the cups. Also when I wear the bra it gapes and need to scoop myself into it all the time ...as my boobs seem to move around in the cups - probably because they're so wide on me!
I will probably keep wearing this bra for a while though until I find something better, as it does give me some cleavage, but gives me a very wide shape under clothing.
I like that it is moulded with some lace, so can wear it under tight tops.
Overall, its a pretty bra and would probably be great on someone the right shape for it! Read more 80 more words
I only got this bra a few months before my boobs decided to migrate, so I haven't worn it all that often. At the beginning I found the high centre gore a bit uncomfortable, but I quickly got used to it and found the bra very comfortable. It also gave my boobs a really good round shape and the lace didn't show under t-shirts. The band on my bra hasn't stretched out, but I've only worn it a few times.
I LOVE this bra! I have shallow breasts with less tissue on the tops and need wide wires. This bra is perfectly suited for that shape.
Appearance: This is a really pretty bra! I love the lace, ribbon detailing, scalloped edges and the jade green color.
Shape: This bra gives me a little bit of cleavage with the pads in. It looks good under most shirts -- the lace does show a bit under really clingy knits.
Comfort: I've been comfortable wearing this bra for 14-16 hour periods, no complaints in this department!
This bra is so pretty and comfortable! I love it! It is unfortunate that it did not work for me. Cup seems a little small, but it could be that the shape was just slightly too shallow for me. Super comfortable...band was nice and stretchy, but it did not seem to stretch out too much.
