This review is purely a pattern comparison. My gorgeous marsala-toned Serene has the exact came cut and size as ashy rose Rocha which is a certified superdeep/short root/petite-friendly hybrid (pattern is a dupe for Cleo Kayla but has a much shorter gore). While both are great for immediate fullness and projection, Serene is best categorized as more 'projected with even to somewhat bottom shallow fit' than Rocha's 'ultra projection-meets-bottom-fullness-with-allowance-for-high-fluctuation'. all this means is you'd want Serene for center-control for short, full, projected breasts, vs Rocha for 'god help it hurts, everything is too small and too tall'.
Serene differs from the plungey hybrid Rocha, in that its' very ...narrow set gore is taller, inner and center cup is half size less full, and is slightly less projected because it's a half size shorter in the bottom cup, and a halfsize shallower. This might just make it average or true-to-size Panache. Serene's supersoft materials and side support are also identical to Rocha's, but due to the nature of their elasticated lace upper cups one will get more of a closed, controlled or compressed feeling in Serene vs Rochas forgiving hug. Serene is NOT closed off. The upper bands are cut the same shape, height and width, but on Serene it fits closer to the body than on Rocha. I've had Rocha for a year now and while I treasure it's ultrasoft build, low coverage and high support, it's snaggy lace made it always feet more like a 'sunday best' pick in my bra-drobe, whereas I can tell immediately that Serene's superfine sleek outer layers can take some beating about.
Both bras bands are cut very similarly with the same hypersoft microknit over fine powernet, and double-bagged technique. Serene's band however is cut slightly shorter than on Rocha, which leads me to believe that Rocha was designed for overly-full or more softbodied petites needing more support for heavy busts and back squish control, as an option should Serene not fit them well in the dressing room.
Serene's straps are cut 2" longer than Rocha's in this size- and it includes a J-Hook to convert the fit to racerback which gives the impression that Panache's design team is considering real humans in their sample process and allowing for some variations in frame differences. Has J-hooks. That's pretty cool for the narrow shoulder havers. High roots and narrow shoulders, get a buddy to help you adjust the straps because otherwise, it's gonna be a lot of taking it off and putting it back on. I can't praise this material enough. I'm trying SO HARD to find the right size in this bra. You'll see when I finish uploading all the data from all the sizes I ordered. Oh boy. It's so soft. The stretch fabric on the top of the cups is so cute. The double bagged band is insanely comfortable. But the wires are so damn high (on the edge and at the gore) & too wide for me. I have short/high roots. This is a shape mismatch. The cups also aren't deep enough for the amount of projection I have, but I want it to work so badly. I just wish the frame worked for me. Edit: Turns out none of the sizes in this model work for me. Bummer.
Of all the wireless bras that are sized by band and cup rather than S, M, L, and so on, Andorra Non-Wired Bras are the best for me. (I also have the Cosabella in two different sizes (P and XS) and neither fit well. The cups splay so far to the sides that there is no support whatsoever.) Panache has somehow engineered these non-wired bras so that they function like the wired Andorra with the interior side slings, providing superb support for the sides. 32D's band is comfortable (three fingers, rather than two). The D cup is a teensy bit small, producing a minor quad boob effect. Also, ...the breasts are definitely not separated - smooshed but not quite a uniboob. I don't mind the smooshed boobs since my breasts are closely placed already.
A little more background as well. My breasts are placed relatively high on my chest, so underwires constantly poke into my arm pits and eventually my arm pits push the bras down my chest, negating whatever support an underwire ought to provide. Hence, non-wired.
I like the Andorra Non Wired so much that I bought four of them (3 different sizes for different parts of the month). I will definitely buy more. Read more 97 more words
I thought this would be similar to the Panache Envy (and got it on sale). I got my Envy size, the 32F. The band fits fine and I fill out the bottom of the cup…The problem is the top of the cup. After breastfeeding, I’m much more bottom heavy (sagging, really)- and it shows. I can’t fill the top of the cup, even with my larger side (my left is bigger than my right). While the side support does bring things to the front (which I definitely need), the overall shape is a bit more…torpedo than round.
I’ll keep it for “Around the House” use, but not to go out in public. It’s fairly comfortable, but bra doesn’t work for me overall. I’ll buy another Envy instead of this.
If you’re more Even or Top-full, this might work better for you. Especially if you need side-support.
ROCHA: IS FOR PETITES, SHORT ROOTS, OR WTF? STAY TUNED AS THE SAGA CONTINUES
1 WEEK UPDATE: Finally sliced through Rocha's tight stitching and replaced straps with temporary tabs so I can use the straps from my Freya Icon. Confirming straps in this size run a scant foot long max.
Worn for half hour we find the Typical Panache Problems: -Too-tall ...armscye that cuts into the shoulder (despite being extra deeply curved!), CHECK -Oddly flattening wall-of-side support panel that makes a weird vertical internal quadding line -Closed in upper cups that aren't stretchy enough for even upper breasts -Loads of space in the very center of cup, but the outer thirds are more compressive and flattening which leads to-
THE WIRES
PANACHE BABY WHAT R U DOING.
EVEN MY PARTNER IS SHOOK "WHY ARE THEY USING ACTUAL RAW GUILLOTINE BLADES?
STOP. FFS. RIGHT NOW.
Can't tell whether I'm dealing with a cup sized too small/tall as usual, or something truly deep enough to actually fit very well once I scale out all the non-petite friendly junk in the scaling. (for reference waist, ribs and armscye are kids size 12, with womans' size 16 shoulders- extremely short wide breast shape). Despite the experimental hassle of ongoing surgery there's a LOT of features going for this style that makes it a great option for the shorter and fuller among us (Ellace fans, are you listening?)
I'm now off to complete the following modifications:
-Underwire swap (U flexi wires from Bra Builders- these are effing amazing if you are looking for that barely there polish style 'invisible' feel) -Wire overlap -Gore narrow -Armscye curveout (even tho she really do be accommodating for less side-set/side-full people) -Picking out the soft stretch band sewn into the top of the stretch lace upper band.
Because the upper gore stabs (bottom of wire being pushed out?), wires distort and sit over the inner breast at gore, gore being too wide pushes the cups down, the top is too closed in to comfortably tolerate digging into upper breast from the underwire dancing, and hah of course my armpit boobs being shoved up into the armscye which squishes into them and presses everything out into tail of spence is a huge oh hell nah.
STAY TUNED (god I am so tirrrrred)
(back to our previously scheduled review- first impressions)
The cups seem to match the measurements, but.... UGH. These straps are about 6" too short to do anything with. The entire bra is dragged WAY up into my armpits and super high on my chest negating the low cut and deep facets that make it special -_-
I already have self-supporting, very high set breasts on a ***very*** short torso. But apparently Rocha believe the only body type for this boob shape is ultra petite perfectly child-sized bodies. On my tiny torso with lanky frame, this is totally a torture device.
Straps must be completely replaced just to see if this even fits /FML
At least there is a hidden wing for cup stabilization inside the smooth, dual layered powermesh & knit band. And this plush triple hook closure is SO NICE! The fashion outer layer is super posh and am in love with the super rounded cutout rise from outer cup to straps. When cups are held facing down, there is a whole lot of immediate depth going on front & center, I don't see that a lot with major brands in fuller cuts.

With Rocha the straps were so bad I deleted them and tore the thing off. It doesn't help anyone to see 20 responses to that issue- 'loosen the straps' when Panache made the straps under a foot long and most of it doesn't stretch. It was truly awful the way it strangled my sideboob & shoulder (with temporary straps it currently fits closer to the bravissimo mai- supplies order cam in and will finally get the final ones added this week!). However, I've added tons of pics over this fit journey to other reviews when neither time nor uploading was an issue. More recently have been both too busy to have time to self to even take a few minutes for basic shots, let alone a functional device for this (going to spare the aggravating details on that!). Setting up a clear area with good lighting isn't too hard but it's a step farther than I have this season. Besides this I'm pretty motivated to discuss some of these less known models and brands features, because we really need more info on them and for some reason it seldom seems to happen?
I love how this bra looks and how it makes my breasts look. The colour is gorgeous! Unfortunately the gore feels too high and/or wide, it digs into my sternum and breasts. So I ended up returning it.
I normally wear a 32F, according to the bra fitter the band on this bra runs large.
My shape is narrow, even, projected, with average-to-short roots, close-set with lots of upper-center fullness and soft, saggy breast tissue. This bra was a pretty good fit for my shape, the underwires are narrow and firm and hold it in place, but the soft stretchy fabric of the cups doesn't provide enough support for my squishy boobs, as there is a lot of bounce and movement and the in-cup quadding doesn't look good. The deep cups and narrow gore are good for projected and close-set breasts. This bra would work on firmer breasts, but not for me.
I really think I'm a 32GG in the Panache Tiana, but I couldn't find one in Prime Wardrobe. So, I tried on the 34G as the next best thing, fully expecting it to be a bit too wide and shallow.
Fit issues/description: As I suspected, the 34G was a bit too shallow for my breasts. The cups were a bit too wide (although not terrible), and there was a fair bit of empty space at the bottom of the cups. Although my hypotheses WERE fundamentally correct, I was still pleasantly surprised with this fit. The amount of room and the level of support at the center of the ...bra is GREAT for my center-full breasts. (Although likely wouldn't be good for those needing a narrow or low gore). The gore does tack on me although it's soft, and I'm not sure if this is because the gore might be just a fraction too wide for me or if it's related to the other fit issues. Despite being too wide, the actual underwire follows the actual shape of my breasts quite well, and I think it'd be a great fit if there was just a bit more projection at the wire (which makes me optimistic about the 32GG being a better fit).
The straps are much wider than I'd like. Not surprising as this is a common issue I have with balconettes. Hopefully the 32 band size will have the straps a bit narrower, although I don't expect it to be significantly better, tbh.
One fit issue I didn't expect was that there was a bit of gaping/extra space at the top of the cups. I expected the lace on the Panache Tiana to be stretchy like the lace on my (beloved, but woefully outgrown) Panache Jasmine. Unfortunately, it holds it shape, which isn't the best combo for my FOB breasts. This MIGHT be related to the other fit issues, although it's somewhat uncommon for me. More commonly, with bras that are too shallow, I get the "Orange in a glass" effect, making my FOB breasts looks much more FOT than they actually are. I'm not really sure if the other fit issues I described above might be contributing to this (open to any suggestions!), so I'll just have to see if the 32GG has the same issue. (Even then, it might not be a deal breaker. I think it'd be fairly easy to make a tack to take up some of the slack.)
Other comments: I think the color and pattern is quite pretty. Some people might find the lace + pastel blue/pink + floral pattern to be a bit matronly, but it doesn't bother me. I think the sheerness of the material (especially in the lace at the top) helps bring a bit of sexy to offset the sweet.
The bra is made of a high quality mesh material that is very lightweight and will be very nice and breathable in the summer heat (especially as I'm about to move to the desert). The mesh does not feel rough or scratchy, although some may prefer a smoother/more satiny fabric. The bra as a whole does feel nicely supportive and not like it's straining the carry the weight, despite being very lightweight material. Read more 434 more words
This review is for the Panache Wired Sport in 342F UK, color Fiery Red. My ABTF size is 32G or 34 FF UK. I chose this based on my experience with the Panache Sport, needing a 34F in the non-wired since it runs tight in the band and large in the cup.
Band: * Runs tight. I could probably use this 34 without an extender, but it might be more comfortable with one. Has 3 hooks by 3 columns.
Wires: * Firm, like all Panache wires. Sits well below my IMF as I'll explain below.
Cups: * A little tall for my short roots, but overall great.
Straps: * The straps are adjustable.
Fabric: * Great for ...sports.
Hardware: * The hardware is matching red, including the J-hook.
About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, full on bottom, short roots, soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.
FIT
* The band length was a little snug. I'm a 32 or 34 due to rib flares and this bra runs tight, so a 34 is pushing it for me but not bad. * The wires are NOT ok for me. They really sit on my rib flares as you can see in the pictures. * The gore doesn't really tack since it's a mixed compression and encapsulation bra. But it does help a little with separation. At least it's not a uniboob. * The cups gave a great shape. Unfortunately I need more projection at the wire (the non-wired version works for me because my breasts can "crush" the bottom and cause a comfortable enough fold-over which looks fine even if they don't sit as high as in the wired version. * The straps are long enough. I wish the J-hook was a bit lower since I'm short. It sits super high on me and pulls straps towards my neck. * The sides are a comfortable height for me.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * This is a really great sports bra but due to the pain on my ribs I'll stick with the non-wired version. Read more 223 more words
Comparing to my Ewa Michalak BM Chilli https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dngbo/, which should only be one cup smaller (30G in Panache vs 32F in Ewa) as the Chilli bra is a band size up...the underwire on the Panache is 1.8 inches longer, whoa!
I'm attaching pictures where you can see: there is space in between where my breast root ends, and where the wire continues past my breast root on the side. Well past where my breast root ends, lol. there's also a little space underneath my breast - more so than with the Ewas - I'm guessing this is because of the shape of the ...wires. I know the underwires can be bent slightly at the bottom, to ensure a better fit since in the mailing of the bra, it was probably smooshed flat. But I didn't bother b/c the wires on the side are SO WIDE, I'm going to send it back anyways.
Maybe the Envy is more the "average root" person and my roots are quite narrow.
The cups are comfy though, +1 for the Envy.
The band - yea!!! Finally a band that fits good (I have been wearing 32's mostly, and I now realize - I am just not a 32. With a 29" measurement, I have to at least wear a 30 band.
I'm not sure that the fabric is a little stiffer b/c of the dark dye (this one is navy) compared to the Nude envy I tried on in size 30FF, but it stretches TTS. The design is quite flattering, and the stretch lace helps with breast asymmetry (yea!).
Overall, a solid bra, it looks good. However, the wires were just too wide. I ordered this to determine if I am a 30G (I seem to be in between 30FF and 30G r.n.).
Ewa Michalak might be the brand for me. Her bras are $70 min. Not complaining about the price b/c they are quality, it's just that I usually have to order them from Europe to have a decent price, not in Canada. Read more 236 more words
BraOdyssey i personally find panache wires to be wide, tall, and very stiff and painful. LOL. Cleo bras on the other hand, seem to work better for me in terms of width and gore. But now I can’t deal with anything that isn’t Polish. sigh
margesimpson, I've never tried Cleo! I like the look of Cleo Spencer bra, but I would have to sister-size up to purchase it. It's on the Belle-Lingerie Ebay store r.n. I'm addicted to checking Ebay for bras, lol.
BraOdyssey too funny I literally just bought a bra from belle lingerie. I need to slow down the bra shopping lol
LOL, I’m in the gotta -slow - down- the - bra- buying boat too, and yes, despite this, I am still obsessively checking EBay for bras. Aaaack!
I also check Comexim.pl, and Ewa-Michalak.pl for sales, lol. Can't forget the Polish brands!
dagmarwulfe , but it is a little addicting to check Ebay, lol. You'll never know what you'll find! And once it's gone, it's gone.
BraOdyssey , so true! I think that’s part of the appeal for sure.
I guess today I am a 30FF, or possibly even 30G, it's hard to tell.
This was part of my amazon order. Perhaps I'm having a big boob day today; it's hard to tell b/c my weight fluctuates.
Edit: 3-24-21, I just read on the ABTF Facebook Page that Panache Jasmine has shallow cups?? Interesting...Perhaps that's why the cups looked horrible on my shape, the 32E Panache Jasmine cups were better, honestly, although it was a different colour (black) but it should be the same cup size as 30F Panache Jasmine in Caramel, but the 30F in Caramel seemed to ...fit much worse in the cups. So much so that I didn't even want to post pictures! The cups didn't fit at all, and it was *not* flattering on my shape!
So, I'm not sure why the cups seemed to fit so much worse in the Caramel Jasmine 30F vs the Black Jasmine 32E, they should've been the same cups size, amiright? They were both too small, but maybe the Caramel one just looked worse b/c of the colour, idk. End of rant... Read more 82 more words
Regarding the projection of the Jasmine, I believe it’s more that the Jasmine is known to have lots of APEX projection (projection at the deepest part of the bra). But it doesn’t have good IMMEDIATE projection (projection at the bottom wire). I think this is why there’s lots of contrasting comments about it’s fit — i.e. some people find it great for projection whilst others find it shallow. How great it is for you is dependent on where you need the projection.
People often don’t specify ‘where’ when talking about projection in bras. That’s what I realised when I was confused about why bras people were calling “great for projection “ didn’t work for me: because I need lots of immediate projection.
Rozelyna , ohhhh, I see....the plot thickens and my bra fitting adventure gets even more complicated...
I guess I'm going to hold off in trying to find my perfect fit in the Jasmine a.t.m.; I'm supposed to be getting some Comexims in the mail tomorrow that I ordered from Breakout Bras - it takes a little while for bras to arrive b/c I'm located in Canada. So, figures crossed I can find a bra with more immediate projection.
But tackling Comexim sizing seems to be a whole other ball of wax...lol. We'll see how it goes (not that you asked!)
Thanks for the feedback!! : )
Rozelyna , but thanks!! This bra looked *so bad* on me...and I was just trying to figure out why - you made me feel much better!
I don't have my PhD in Bra Science yet.../s. Lol. : )
I hope you do find bras with more immediate projection and that your Comexims fit! I haven’t managed to get my head around Comexim sizing yet and get a good fit in one.
And don’t worry, Jasmine is way too shallow at the bottom wire for me too — even when I sister size up in the band.
I can’t help but laugh when I look at the pictures of me wearing this bra. 😂
If I needed a bra to feel super ~nasty~ in, this would be it!
For real though, this bra is very narrow but not uncomfortably so. It’s SUPER projected and gave me bullet boobs. I literally had a shelf sticking out from my chest! 🤣 It gives that nice Marie Antoinette look, except I was probably 1 cm away from falling completely out of this bra. Obviously 36G is too small for me. I’m willing to give this another try in a 36GG and 36H because with all the obvious fit issues aside, I kinda like the look this bra gives me (the bullet/shelf boobs, not the nips falling out all over the place part).
This review is for the Panache Andorra Full Cup in 32GG. My ABTF size is 32G/GG UK (or more) depending on projection.
Band: * Measured from 27 to 31. Clearly this runs small.
Wires: * Very firm.
Cups: * Have a mesh inner side sling.
Fabric: * Very comfortable.
About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, functionally even to full on bottom, short roots, relatively soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.
FIT
* The band length was really short. I actually had to wear an extender to even fasten it. I'm surprised at this based on my other experiences with Panache. The lace on the band did curl ...up on my even trying it on. I'm sure for sitting all day it would definitely curl. * The gore tacked nicely. It was tall for me, but fine. It was narrow enough for me at .75 inches, but I still might prefer to overlay them. * The cups seem to have the right volume for me, and the tops actually laid down perfectly. The wires are not narrow enough for me and it does not have enough immediate projection for me. * The straps are long enough. * The sides are a comfortable height for me.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * I like this bra even though I don't normally like lace. I love how the tops of the cups fit me. I just need a ton more immediate projection and significantly more narrow wires. Read more 129 more words
This is one of my favorites. I wish it was just a bit more projected at the base of the bra, but it's one of my best fitting bras. The wire is quite firm which did take some getting used to.
I wear a 32J UK in the Panache Envy, so I tried a 32J in this bra. This is definitely a structured bra that just happens to not have an underwire rather than a bralette. I found this to be very supportive, and suitable for wearing under T-shirts to work. It runs a bit small--the gore doesn't even come close to tacking, but I don't get any quadboob. I don't find it all that comfortable for lounging or sleeping. The elastic rubbed a bit of skin off when I tried to put it on with damp skin once. If this came in a larger cup size, I would try it out to see if I could get the gore to tack. Even so, I liked it enough to purchase it in sky blue as well as black.
ABraThatFits calculator size: 28GG 27.25-27.5 snug underbust, 36.25-36.5 standing bust, 38-38.5 leaning bust Bratabase index sizes: 30:5,30:6,32:5, 32:6 Shape: narrow roots, fuller on bottom, fairly soft tissue, right boob has more immediate projection, fairly projected, very close set. I'm tall, and often have issues with straps being too short
I got this a while ago from a Breakout Bras mystery 4 bras grab bag. At the time, I measured closer to 30F, and it was a little too big for me in the cups.
This bra works pretty well for me. The band runs fairly small, as I prefer a 28, but this is 30 ...and works alright. For British bras, this gets closer to Polish proportions than most I've tried- the cups are quite deep compared to the width, and it has the right amount of overall projection and immediate projection for my left boob. Unfortunately, my right boob has more immediate projection, and as a result the wire gets pushed down a bit on that side. This causes the top of the right cup to wrinkle. If I adjust the wire back up, the cup fits well on that side too, but it will shift back down.
The wires are too wide for me, and it would be best if it was about an inch narrower, but even a half inch would be a huge improvement. Still, as a person who regularly has too wide wires, these are not nearly as uncomfortable as some are. They go too far back, but do not poke or dig in.
The gore is pretty narrow, and works well for my close set breasts. However, I could see it as being a problem for others as it does come up a fair bit higher than a plunge would, and the lower part of the gore is more separated than the upper part.
The quality is either good or excellent, I haven't worn it enough to say for sure. I'll give excellent for now and if issues arise, drop down to good.
Comfort is pretty good as well. My only complaint is the lace can be itchy in general, and as someone who has eczema year round, and sometimes nipple eczema during flareups, I cannot imagine this being wearable then.
Appearance is not my style. There's nothing wrong with it, but it is transparent lace and many would probably prefer it for the bedroom. I, however, am asexual, and am just looking for a comfortable bra to wear under everyday clothes. The colorway I have is black lace with a little bit of blue solid fabric as side support and along the gore and the band on the front. It's a nice design, but not for me.
Overall, I'd recommend giving this a try before going Polish. If you are a 28 band, you may be able to wear the 30. If you are in between bands, I'd recommend the bigger one. The cups have a lot of depth, so you may need a cup down from normal. If you have a shallow shape, I would not recommend this bra. Read more 406 more words
I have been looking for some bras without wires for a while now. This is a new style for me and I used to LOVE the andorra plunge so I decided to try it. It's a really nice looking and well made bra! My biggest problem is with my monkey brain and not the bra, I purchased it one size smaller than I need! D'oh! The 28E was about $15 less expensive on Amazon than the 28F and I can sometimes fit 28E's depending on the style and if they are less structured or more of a bralette. This bra may look like a little flimsy thing but it isn't. It has a solid construction and because of the quality, doesn't fit me. I will likely be trying this bra in a 28F or a 30E in the future because it seems like such a great wireless bra!
This is a pretty bra. I love the color. The materials are soft, the details are nice. The quality is higher and it feels more comfortable than the 34D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285), but unfortunately the fit is equally poor on me. The gore doesn't tack, and I have space at the bottom of the cup and quadding on top. I think this is what they call "orange in a glass." The band is really stretchy and doesn't have much substance - I feel like I look even lumpier and roll-y in the back than usual. I do like the low wings, the wires don't poke me. I think if the cup was cut a little higher and I went up a size, I might like the appearance better. As it is, the beige lace on the top makes the cups look even lower than they actually are, and I'm not a fan of the shape.
I'm bummed, this one is a big nope for me. I really liked the way this bra looked in pictures, and I've seen it recommended for a bunch of different shapes, so I took a chance. But it doesn't fit well, look good, or feel good.
The bra seems well-made, but the material is rough and scratchy. It felt very uncomfortable against my skin, both in the cups and the band. Fit wise, I was optimistic at first, since it looked okay from the front. The gore tacked, and the support seemed fine - but on closer inspection (especially after I took the pics), ...it doesn't fit at all. The wires are almost the right shape, but the gore digs into my sternum a bit. The cups are smooth on the top edge, at least on my larger side, and actually look nice - but... major wrinkles on the sides, I don't fill the bottom of the cup, and the wires don't stay put when I raise my arms. The rounded shape I get from it is nice. Going down a cup size and choosing a color that doesn't match my skin would probably be an improvement, but based on the feel of the material I'm not going to bother. It seems like a shape mismatch.
