This is way too small. Looking at the measurements and fit details it seems like it shouldn't be THAT small, but it is. The band if I isolate it from the cups actually does feel okay, although it's way smaller than a 30 band usually is (could only stretch to 28", I'm surprised it feels OK on.)
The straps feel a little used i.e. digging in at the shoulders. I suspect that's from the woefully inadequate cup size.
The band is a fuzzy almost terrycloth and very soft and comfortable. The lace pattern is lovely. I'm not sure if the soft cups are defined enough to give actual separation ...between larger boobs. (As an alternate example I wear old Fantasie Belle bras with the wires removed and the center gore basically tacks, despite being stretched out and cups 1-2 sizes bigger than I usually wear now. I think this is because the wire channels are a stiffer fabric than the rest of the bra. On this one, it's just a seam.)
The fabric in general seems a little thin. I'd be worried about an earring accidentally puncturing it and causing damage.
Overall I'm disappointed but they do make this up to a J cup so I might try again in another size if my foray into Molke is a total fail (really trying to get some non-underwired bras into my rotation!) Read more 120 more words
Beautiful bra in peacock blue, this is my first experience with Size 28G and OH MY GOD my boobs actually feel supported, I can't fit two fists in the band and the weight of my boobs dosen't seem to be all in the straps. However, the gore is too wide and I think the wires are too.
I have been eyeing this bra. I don't think it will work for me. I got the Jasmine in today and that really didn't work. I know I'm FoT but have soft tissue and somehow these bras make everything sink downwards lol The wires were pretty wide on the Jasmine as well.
I actually got it from someone who should've been wearing a 30-32 band. So that's why the wires were SUPER wide
marilynne Oh I see! It's difficult to find the 'perfect' bra. I mean nothing in life is perfect but you know what I mean? I do like my Cleo Marcie though. It's super nice!
This bra SO PROJECTED. I feel like my boobs go forward so much because of the side slings, but they don’t go in nor up. Although my breasts are supported, I don't feel them being lifted up. I'm not used to wear full-cup bras so I feel like the top lace section is really large. It is stretchy so it doesn't cut into my top fullness and tall roots. The wires are slightly too wide for my very narrow roots, but not by much. The gore is too high and wide for my super close-set boobs so I am going to overlap it. There is A LOT of projection at the bottom of the cups, but not as much room in the centre in the top lace section.
An astonishingly bad fit. I ordered this from HerRoom, and I wouldn't say I had high hopes, but wow. The cup wrinkled, it wasn't projected enough, it wasn't narrow enough, it gave me bullet boobs, the gore cut in, the wires hurt, the fabric wasn't soft. Painful Panache is right! I'm glad that a lot of people like this bra, but it's not for me.
I can still remember how my breasts felt in this bra 11 years ago—split into three parts by those firm wires. Ouch.
It definitely requires a specific set of breast characteristics.
Honestly I was one of those that "praised" the Tango in the past. But it was the first bra I was properly fitted in and the first that did give me proper support. It does well on large sizes for firm support. But it was never a comfort bra - the wires hurt so bad. I totally understand that you dislike it. I hope you can find a lof of better more comfortable bras.
This is one that keeps popping up in recommended bras to try, but I could never bring myself to wear a “bullet boob” bra lol. I’ve yet to try a comfortable Panache bra, other than the padded wire sport bra. Even then that one was like wearing an iron chest plate lol.
This bra is so near perfect: narrow cups, firm band, able to handle both my immediate projection and tall roots. It gives a great rounded shape under clothes, and is lovely and supportive. Unfortunately though, as usual, the gore is too tall and/or too wide for my close set, center full breasts, so while it does tack it also digs in and flattens some of my breast tissue underneath.
I'm considering trying to overlap the gore, because it's such a great fit otherwise. Decisions, decisions.
I used to love Clara as well except for the gore; a tip that might work - bending the upper part of the gore outward with some pliers!
Definitely helped for me (even though I eventually passed Clara on to a friend whom it fit better), hopefully that might make it work better for you too!
bubblegum Thank you for the suggestion, I might try that!
I didn't know much about Thea initially, except that it comes in lovely floral prints. I picked up one in my normal Panache sister size of 30DD in the Ivory Floral colorway, which is reminiscent of vintage botanical sketches and is quite unique. I was surprised to find that this bra is super comfortable and feels very much like a Cleo. However, this bra is sadly designed for FOT shapes, as the center of the cup is a bit high and projected, and the upper cup is almost shelf-like, meaning that it attaches to the bottom cup almost perpendicularly rather than at a gradual angle. ... While the wires and bottom cup fit me quite well, there's wrinkles in the upper cup that foam pads could not even smooth out as I just don't have the fullness required to fill it out.
This bra reminds me very much of several Cleo styles I've tried: Minnie, Ellis, and Kayla. All of these styles have a nice, firm tricot-lined printed fabric lower cup that feels really supportive and gives a great rounded shape. However, the fun stops there. The upper lace cup is made from double lined embroidered mesh with stabilizing elastic at the upper edge, but it feels quite firm though it does stretch a bit. Minnie has a very rigid upper cup, Ellis has a mesh embroidered upper cup with a bit of flexibility, and Kayla has a very stretchy and soft upper cup. This upper cup functions similarly to a cross between Minnie and Ellis' upper cups in terms of flexibility. If these styles work for you, chances are that you will love Thea.
I found the band to feel pretty TTS and relatively firm, so this sister size felt like a decent fit. The band is plain, solid powermesh, and there is a gentle leotard back. The elastic used is nicely textured for visual interest. The printed fabric is used throughout the cups and the cradle, and the center gore has a two tone pink and blue bow. I feel that the bow doesn't quite match the design of the rest of the bra, which is more vintage elegant, but the bow reads quite pop. Other than the fit mismatch, this is my only critique about this bra. I think it's a really well made bra and would recommend it to the right FOT shapes that can wear similar Cleo styles! This bra is just gorgeous. I always wanted this red colorway of the long gone Ariza. It's the perfect red, bright and vibrant that doesn't lean into orange / tomato red. It's a strawberry red. Anyway the bra does not fit me. Bra calculators give me sizes like 30J / 30JJ these days but the cups on this bra are just too small. Also Ariza is known to be shallow in the cups, so this does not go well with my fot, center full boobs. The wires and gore are very tall, the whole bra feels very supportive. I don't like the thin straps very much. The pics don't even show how much it cuts in, but I think it is a good cup size too small. If i can ever find it I would try it in 30JJ or 32J.
It’s so pretty! I love the embroidery on it. It really is a lovely shade of red, I can see why you like it. Sorry it didn’t fit. It’s always such a bummer when you finally hunt down what you want and it doesn’t fit. :(
So pretty!
How pretty! That looks great on your skin tone. I hope you get to try it out in those alternative sizes!
Stretchy lace, really soft, feels great overall. Everything I want a bra to feel to the touch. Super comfortable. Unfortunately it's much too big in the band. The gore on me doesn't tack fully but I can overlook it because it's comfortable, but I will have to return this. I might try 32K but it'll still probably be too big in the band.
I read that this one was based on a combination of Envy and Quinn, I've not tried either of those but both had been recommended to me so I figured I'd try this combo instead. It goes quite high up into the armpits, like Jasmine, but where I don't fill out Jasmine at all in the top of the cup, Imogen fits almost perfectly.
If you are around my size, I'd suggest sister size down at least once. The band in this 34 stretches easily to 40 inches. Big yikes.
Thanks for the review. I was curious about this style too, I have tried Envy in the past and I found it very uncomfortable. Jasmine is too open on top for me. Too bad about the band stretching so much?! Meh :( I think you could size down in cups too, maybe try 32JJ?
This bra threw me off at first, it doesn't raise your breasts up in the way that most do, by cupping them. This "directs" them so that they stick straight out. I laughed when I put it on and paraded around our house as Wonder Woman, to the amusement of my fiance. It looks good with a shirt on, awkward with a fitted or tight one though. The center gore comes up a little high and pokes my left breast and the side underwires are starting to poke now too, although I've gained a little weight that could be the cause. Overall, it fits my bell cups pretty well and I'd say the separation in front is the perfect amount, if high.
I’ve already had a bra in the same size as this, but opted to try it again. It’s a really nice print - black with a subtle pattern (paisley flower is the description).
This one felt a bit snug, possibly looser after a few wears and washes to get the starch out, and the cups almost felt too small. My nipples were sitting a little bit higher than the apex of the cups and it was fairly low coverage on me. That said, a size up might compromise the shape I’m getting from this since I have shallow upper fullness. The stretchy upper is definitely nice and accommodating. It’s still not an uber round shape on me, but better than I used to get in it.
Ultimately, the wires are still hard and the gore is tall. It’s a beautiful bra and something I want to like because it’s always in cut styles. If the gore was a little bit lower, I could probably make do with the firmer wires.
Bra is great for my root width! First bra I've found that doesn't extend a couple of inches past where my boobs end. The projection lines up with what I need. However, the cups are almost 1.5" taller than my smaller boob (which has a height of 6" and a perimeter of 8.5" vs my left boob at 6.5" and 9") and 1.25" taller than my left boob. So, there's wrinkling and dimpling at the top of the bra and it's visible underneath a shirt. The gore sits on my breast tissue at the center, not by a lot, but enough that the marks are very clearly on ...my inner boob, not my ribcage, which is in part because the gore height is double what I would consider the available space for a gore between my boobs. I do like spacer fabric though! I'm getting really annoyed with bras that are too tall and I wish I could cut off extra fabric at the top. I'm also not a fan of the bows everywhere (I don't like bows on straps I think they're unnecessary). Sidenote: I don't wear bras that often (shout out to stretchy crop tops & having self-supporting breasts), and my skin isn't usually compressed. Anyway, I think between that and my skin sensitivity it's giving me some mild hives down my torso. So that's awkward. Read more 118 more words
Have you tried the Panache Ardour bra? I also run into problem with cups being too tall with molded bras and I need shorter cup height, but I found the Ardour fit extremely well and cup height was perfect. Ardour is my favorite molded cup may be worth a try for you since u know u like Panache wire width?
Did you find the cup volume ok? I know how you feel with the short boobs.
Calluna the cup volume at the bottom is great, but up near the top it gaps far enough that it dimples underneath a t shirt, which sucks and defeats the point.
Hives? Yikes! Panache starches their bras very heavily and it takes a few washes to get all of that stuff out. Hopefully it's only because of those chemicals and it will go away.
Sovavosi thanks for the heads up! To be fair, allergens, in general, make the right side of my face itchy and I now break out in full-blown hives (these looked more like light chickenpox), but yeah, it's all around my IMF and I think because the bra came in contact with my torso w/ me sitting down or putting it on (like, having my back hunched over), my torso came into contact with it and that's what caused the hives. It takes a couple hours for them to go away but they don't hurt and I'm not itchy. I've had them appear on my hands with other stuff but I haven't figured out the trigger for those.
Many volumes have been written about this bra, so I won't belabor the typical comments. I, like others get a more pointy shape with Jasmine. There is ever so slightly too much projection at the apex for me.
I was comparing this to other bras in my drawer and happened to notice the cut of this is similar to my Kinga Michelle (http://bra.pe/XZnc/), but that bra seems to fit me almost perfectly right now (new pics added today). The cut of the lower cup on the Kinga seems to gives a rounder shape, but then again, I think it's technically a cup size smaller. That ...said, they are only measuring 1cm difference in depth, and the Jasmine has more stretch while Michelle's fabric is firm.
All in all, not bad, not great. I think I would fit better in a 32FF in this model. In the mean time, I'm planning on a minor alteration to remove some fullness at the apex.
Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft. Read more 76 more words
The emerald green colorway is quite beautiful, although there is more lace than I prefer. The fabric is different from other Panache bras I have tried. While the others have had varying degrees of roughness and stiffness, the Clara is supple and stretchy, making it refreshingly comfortable. The wires seem softer as well, really hugging my body as I move, rather than clamping down. Finally, the wires are not as long - athough I still get some discomfort from the awkward cut of the armholes, the wing is set lower or something, making it more roomy. As poking and aggravating armholes are my biggest complaint about Panaches, this ...is a surprising and welcome turn with the Clara. I feel like I could lounge all day in this bra.
Of course, all that luxury comes with a price, and with the Clara, it seems to be support. The softness and stretchiness of the fabrics and wires, along with the lower coverage of the cups make the Clara a more bouncy bra than others.
Another difference with the Clara is the presence of a side sing inside the cup. It barely reaches any distance on my breast, so I'm not sure it's doing any good. In general this bra does not have as much side-support as, say, the Jasmine or Envy or Thea, resulting in, not an east-west appearance, but nevertheless a wider, rounder shape rather than decidedly front-and-center. Like the Envy, the Clara has a band that is not one solid strip, but two pieces that criss-cross at the gore and attach on the opposite cup.
Lastly, projection. The Clara is shallower than the above-mentioned Panaches. Too much so for me, although it was so comfy I was tempted to keep it anyway. (Well, this one was too big, but if I sized down a cup or so.) I really wish Panache would make a hybrid of this bra and, say, the Envy: lower wings/shorter wires with deep bottom cups. I'm not quire sure how to describe my problem but it's like it doesn't support the bottom of my breasts enough? The cup might be too wide because even with "scooping" twice it wasn't filling out at the top and I felt like my breasts were heavy at the bottom and the underwire dug into them there. Not the right shape for me.
Guys. This one seems like it fits. Most bras look like a droopy Snoopy nose on me from the front. This one seems to be shaped more like it's "supposed" to. My boobs are facing forward, not down. Sweet!
This was a surprise fit. I just added Thea to my order because it was available for Prime Wardrobe, but it's listed on ABTF as good for FOT, so I wasn't too excited as I am functionally FOB. Maybe the stretch lace/mesh panel opens up for FOT ladies, but on me it encloses the tops and inner sides very nicely. It's a two-ply mesh with an embroidered flowery pattern ...along the top and a thin elastic strip along the top border. Unlike Jasmine's lace, which is the same width for the length of the whole cup, Thea's lace is narrower on top by the straps and widens as it approaches the gore. The bottom cups are a smooth, satiny fabric with a mesh lining. The structure is a three-part cup with the straps attached to the wide panel that wraps down the side and along the outer bottom. That structure seems to work well for me with my very heavy outer fullness, as it helps give some outer lift.
The cups seem to fit well, very little wrinkling on the sides, and the elastic rests smoothly across the tops. The only issue is, as ever, the Panache wires that are always right at my armpits. Sometimes I have to re-scoop and swoop to keep it off my breast tissue right there. I wish Panache could shorten their wires by even 1/4". https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
Thea has a lot of projection in the apex, and also more than Hettie at the wire, with a rounder, deeper cup than Hettie. The result is a shape that's a little pointy, but like a rounded point, and angled up a bit. I believe I saw cupandahalf label this "rocket boob." lol.
The 34 inch band is a little tight on me. I'm wearing it with an extender that allows the bottom hook to fasten at the level of the loosest hook and the middle and top hooks to fasten one row looser. Read more 266 more words
So after putting this bra in the "does not fit" drawer, and trying it on with a non-stretchy extender, I've changed my mind.
This bra is really comfortable! (after bending the gore... The gore hurts pretty bad if it's not bent, but now it's perfect)
This is the only bra I've got that is actually the right height cup for me (besides Hettie... but Hettie's almost a Jasmine clone). Most bras I have thought "fit" for example Panache Tango Plunge and Freya Fancies plunge balcony are actually too wide and high for me. I feel so supported in Jasmine and it looks great really.
I've found since trying on some of ...my 'does not fit' bras with an extender, I've been learning a lot about what I really need in a bra. The wires on this bra are a good width on me, they no longer poke under my armpit (thank you extender!). I do have a little bit of wrinkling on the bottom of the cup, but this fits me so well in other areas that I'm happy to but that aside. I often struggle to fill out bras near my armpit because I seem to have no fullness there, but since the cup on this is short it works well for me.
The straps are a little widely spaced but I can hardly complain, I think this bra is so great. I get a nice rounded shape under clothes. Sometimes I tend to get a 'torpedo' shape in other bras (Hettie why do you do this to me!) but this one is nice and round. Looks great under low necked tops too.
Anyways...
I think this bra is as close as I've gotten so far. I think I could buy the 36F but honestly I have two perfectly good 34FF's that I can wear with extenders. The black colour is perfect for my needs and it's really sturdy, well made and keeps everything in place thanks to the ever-so-forgiving stretch lace at the top of the cup. Read more 223 more words
MamaPagan thanks so much!! It feels good to finally find something that fits right! I never thought Panache would be the brand to get me there with all the pokey issues I had without the extender, haha!
Panache Ariza has been made from AW2008-AW2013. The newer versions had a slightly different cut and lower wires. This one although is one with the good old cut in all it's difficult-to-fit glory!
I had many Arizas when I was around 30JJ-32K a few years ago. The Ariza gave me a better shape and support than the Panache Tango and it wasn't as weak as Jasmine or Envy. I liked how it made my boobs appear smaller by having them close to chest in a round slightly minimized shape. So there were times when I loved the bra but it was also always kinda difficult. I have not ...worn an Ariza bra since 2014 since when I grew out of my 32Ks I could never get a good fit in it again. Lately I went down in size and tried to wear my old 32Ks again, but they gave me horrible quadboob. So I jumped on the opportunity to try this 34K as an exchange bra.
The issues with this particular Ariza 34K bra:
The band on this bra is much too big. Unstretched it measures 78cm, and I measure 79cm underbust, so I can just wrap it around me without even stretch it. Another Ariza oddity: bands up to J -cup in Ariza ran small- tts while in JJ-K they suddenly got very big/loose.
The wires under the arms are extremely tall! I'm not petite and I have somewhat tall roots but it's just too much! They poke me in my arms very badly and stab me if I try to sit down wearing the bra! Ideally the wires of my old 30K Ariza would be a good fit, but the cup volume is much too small on that one. Speaking of cup volume, this bra measures 37cm cup depth when I stretch it over my knee. If I don't even stretch it much, it measures 35cm! For comparison Tango 34K has data here of 40cm cup depth in 34K!
So Ariza's cups are super shallow! They are also very tall and wide. Therefore I can somewhat fit my boobs into the bra. I tried to show in my pictures what happens when I try to arrange my boobs into the bra so they are fully inside of the cups. I cannot fill the bottom, because there is barely any room, the cup is super shallow there. Then my soft boobs are pushed against my chest and even fold somewhat inside the bra. The side of the cup and the top is empty again. I wonder how I could ever get a decent fit in an Ariza bra? I assume that my boobs were more shallow-tall before my weight gain. This bra was an epic fail but I learned a lot from it and how my breast shape changed with weight gain and recent weight loss.
The unique feature for me that made Ariza "better" than all the other Panache full cups: besides being very supportive it's the U-shaped wire that is so sturdy you can barely distort it! While on other bras the wire can be pulled back by the band a lot, on Ariza it barely happens, I tried to show it with the pic with my hand under the band. The wire keeps it's U-shape even with tension on the band while on some bras the wire is so weak it can end on your back so easily (see 34K - Bravissimo » Boudoir Beau (PA07) wire and that bra band was not even tight on me!) Such a nicely made bra! I am full on bottom and in the center. Used the bra fit calculator here and on r/abrathatfits and got 30gg so this bra rings true to size. My only complaint is that the high gore and full coverage cup do not allow for slightly low cut tops; but the bra is so pretty and fits so nice that I didn't even mind it poking out - it looked like a nice bralette or something!
One of the many Jasmines I have tried. I no longer have the pics of the 28F and 28FF Jasmine but if I can find them somewhere, or the old imgur album is still open for it, I'll share, but really....the fit is the same. It's nice and round from the front and even the angle a little, but the side view is pointy because the cups are too deep at the apex so my tissue just sinks into the cups, bottom up, and by the time it reaches the stretch lace, there's not enough tissue/volume to fill the top out. The gore is also a bit wide. ...
It's sad, really...I'd love for Jasmine to work to the point where I am almost tempted to try her again now that my size has changed some and I feel like I am somewhat fuller, but I have my doubts.
Just the first of several bras I have tried on in stores that I have pics of on my phone that I want to clear out, so I'll be adding them here for future reference. Read more 76 more words
I love it too, but it is a shape mismatch for me. The cups are a little bit too shallow for me. It's so soft and beautiful though.
That color looks great on your skin and the shape amazing too!
Yes I definitely think you should be wearing a 32 band, I also feel like your about to burst out of this bra! As long as your comfortable that's all the matters. ^.^ It's is quite beautiful and matches your shape lovely.
I have been eyeing this bra. I don't think it will work for me. I got the Jasmine in today and that really didn't work. I know I'm FoT but have soft tissue and somehow these bras make everything sink downwards lol The wires were pretty wide on the Jasmine as well.
