Very nice bra, but unfortunately it's a wrong size for me. My right breast cannot fill cup at the top, the left one is quite good. Underband is too wide, I have to close the bra using the smallest option. Plus cups are too separate for my breast. I would like to try 34E or 34F, but this brand hasn't my size.
This bra is just a bit wider than the 32D and fits well on the tightest hooks. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> With a few washes, the fabric will soften and the puckers will disappear. Under sweaters this winter, I will feel significantly less frumpy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
After wearing this twice, it is not the best choice for center full breasts. If you want separation, This model delivers.
This bra, like many Playtex, is designed for "average" body height and average vertical breast distribution. Out of the box, I tightened the partially adjustable straps as much as possible just to keep the straps from slipping off. The cushioned straps are comfortable, but tall and/or petite/high set/short-waisted users will need to modify these straps.
The band is delightful and provides substantial support with its wide dimension and 3x4 fasteners. I sincerely appreciate this design element. The elastic does not bite and the fabrics are acceptably supple. These are not Comexim-quality bands, but this is a $15 bra.
Admirably, the bra's reinforced outer cup helps keep my center-full, close-set ...tissue in the front. However, the shallow cup design propels my tissue up and out of the cup. Again, this bra is designed for "average" projection and "average" horizontal distribution. Nonetheless, it is supportive, and my breasts are held close to my chest. The design is reminiscent of a sports bra. For the right breasts, this is a wonderful bra.
Sadly, this cup is too tall and cuts into my shoulder; irritating my lymph nodes. Admittedly, I am too short-waisted for this design. Sigh.
If you have "average" breast characteristics, don't hesitate to try this supportive, wireless option. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
If you have soft, center full, close-set breasts, this bra may move your tissue quickly to the east and west where it will collide with a seam. Looking at the pictures, you may be able to see the shallowness near the gore. So, this bra likely works better for center-shallow and/or wide set breasts. Additionally, more firm breasts may be able to create space near the gore by simply pushing the gore further from the body. My melted marshmallow breasts immediately move to the sides; not their preferred location.
The band is supportive and boasts 3x4 fasteners. Straps are partially adjustable, cushioned, and too long for petite users. I have them shortened 100% and need 1/2" less length. These straps are also inadequate for tall/low-set users. Average height and vertical distribution is ideal.
I considered a smaller size, but the shallow center design combined with my soft breasts is not a winning combination.
Otherwise, the fabrics are soft, supportive, and comfortable.
This is a highly comfortable bra. It is average in projection and the apex is mid-cup. Now that I have enough space in the bottom of the cup, the top of the cup is less full. Comfortable bra, but not a good fit for me.
This is a more shallow cup design than Playtex 27. In this bra, I require a 36D for enough space. And, even then, the cup collapses quickly. So, I don't recommend this for those needing significant immediate projection. Because the cup is shallow, my tissue is forced back into my armpit where it encounters a seam. The 36D fits significantly better.
This is a beautiful and comfortable bra for those who are more shallow.
The only pink I usually like is a deep fuchsia. However, this pale pink with ivory lace overlay beckoned me. This is another comfortable bra. It is best suited for shallow breasts. If you need immediate projection, try Playtex 27. I really wanted to keep this, but the cup collapsed instantly and it would require significant band shortening.
The band is half the width of Playtex 27. If you prefer a less significant band, E515 is a better choice.
The straps are more padded in E515 than Playtex 27. Additionally, the straps are not fully adjustable.
This band runs several inches longer than Playtex 27. Size up in 27 and down in E515.
This wireless bra rounds my projected breasts beautifully. The cups have average immediate projection and better than average apex projection. The design may fit both projected and shallow breasts. It is worth a try.
The fabric is supportive and soft. And, the color is a beautiful combination of grey and taupe. A nice departure from taupe, white, and black. The majority of the strap is wide and padded. If shoulder pain plagues you, these straps may provide welcome relief.
This cup is too narrow for me. A 36 D may fit better, but it may also create a short list of fit issues. I wish this bra were available in 34" bands. A 34DD may be precisely what I require.
This bra fits very similar to Playtex 27. However, these cups are 100% polyester whereas Playtex 27 are 50% cotton.
The comfort strap definitely reduces shoulder strain, but the straps have very limited adjustability. If you are low set or tall, you may find the straps too short in this model.
This bra is very pretty and comfortable. It would be even more comfortable if I had known what I was doing when I bought it. The band is much too big and the cups are much too small, but sized correctly, this would be a good one.
This was the size American bra manufactures put me in. I own several of these bras because they are very supportive, and so long as I'm not on my period, my breasts don't hurt by the end of the day.
By "supportive" I mean, they squish me in tight even when I have to bend over, carry heavy boxes and other duties at work. It's basically like a sports bra. There is NO separation between breasts. It's like I'm always in a push-up bra simply because of the ridiculous size. this bra has four hooks and a lightly padded wider shoulder strap because they know perfectly well they are ...squeezing every last woman in America into the 5 cup sizes they manufacture.
If they put the same quality of material into additional cup sizes, I would have been loyal for life. Okay, they need to work on the prettiness of the bras (although this one has silky roses and lacey trimming which, compared to their other bras, makes it one of the most pretty they make!), but for someone who has a very active job, I need my jugs in place, and I really can wear these all day normally.
The number one problem with this particular style bra (other than the size) is...they STINK! After a while, they just smell funny. And it's not B.O. Whatever material they use in this particular bra, as they material ages, starts to smell...funny. If it is a dark colourway, it smells WORSE. Even Febreze can't get rid of it. I have a black and dark blue that has loads more wear to them...and I can't wear them because they REEK. Anybody getting near me would think I hadn't showered. My lighter colours (white, nude and pink) also smell a little like it, but nowhere near as bad, and I have owned them longer!
Once I find the correct size bra for me, I say sayonara to Playtex! Read more 213 more words
This bra I bought from a bra transfer from another Bratabase user.Unfortunate for me it didn't fit at all. It says 38 DD on the label but I couldn't even get close to hooking it up. Another thing is the underwires seem to be bent out of shape. It is pink with black poka-dots. Really ugly. I might just through it away after pilfering it of the hooks and eyes and elastic straps for future bra repairs.
This is one of five vintage softcup bras I am offering as giveaways to anyone who wants them. I purchased them all at a thrift store about 10 years ago, and since then, my taste in bras has changed. I have become an underwire lover!
Another vintage Platex softcup offered as a giveaway. This one is in pristine condition. The label shows very little wear. Nice floral lace cups with a white satin bow at the top of the gore.
