My shape: round-ish, even to FoT, asymmetrical, a bit east/west, low on chest.
I impulsively decided to try this one after I got my 70E - Prima Donna Twist » I Do (0241602) and was so impressed with the quality. It is lovely, the quality is again stellar and the materials soft. It would be really comfortable if the wires didn't come up so high under my arms.
I have no issues with the gore, straps, or band. The cup fit is decent on my larger side, but because the it's unlined and made of thinner material, I can't get ...away with it on the smaller side. There's no quadding thanks to the stretchy lace top, but unfortunately lots of wrinkles, a gap at the apex, and I don't fill out the bottom. It could be that three-part cups aren't right for me - I had a similar problem with the 34D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) . I'm also not really a fan of the style - the super tall, deep cups look like "too much bra" on my short frame. I've also been finding that I like prefer a bra that gives me a bit more shape. but I think someone looking for unlined full coverage who can fit longer wires would really enjoy the pretty details, soft lace, and comfort you get with this one. Comfortable, beautiful bra. But for me this bra does not tackat the top, which is extremely annoying. My breast are also pushed more flat and splayed. For the insanely high price I expected a lot better fit. I don't know if perhaps it is my body shape- other bras can tack and I don't have this issue in Elomi, Freya etc. But Elomi bands are way too wide and most others like Freya are pushed down beneath my IMF and dig in a bit in the sides. I have l, at this point, given up on finding anything that fits me. So I'm just going to try and find some bras that I can bear to wear for most of the day sigh.
Madison has always been a favorite of mine, but after I gained a lot of weight it has become less favorable. A few weeks ago I went to a shop and after measuring me and trying on the bra, I bought it. It became clear very fast that it gives me very little comfort. The band is too loose, so it rides up the back. And the bottom of the cups wrinkle atrociously and it actually hurts under the wire, as it seems to sit badly. Not only that, it also pokes my armpits which is tremendously annoying. I have been to try other Primadonna bras (in size 75G and 75H) which both seemed a lot more comfortable and less wrinkly. I really want to try the madison in this size too, for a good comparison, but they didn’t have it in the shop.
I got this bra in black as well, my review is the same, the bras are equivalent. This is a very high quality, very supportive bra. It might be the most supportive bra I've ever owned, and feels very secure, given that it is full coverage and made of good materials. My size has changed, but when I first bought it it was a great fit.

I only tried on the Prima Donna Divine in a local lingerie shop. I didn't buy it because the gore is much too high for comfort. However, its profile reminded me of my Cleo Marcie super round shape! The tag said it was 30F. I'll go back to check it's equivalent to Bratabase's 65F. Perhaps I'll get to take more measurements. The 9" cup depth was the main thing I wanted people to know about this size.
Because the cup material is a semi-sheer floral weave, it could've worked as a nude for me despite the non-flesh pink color. The color resembles the pale pink Bratabase uses. The only ...seams were two darts, one vertical starting from the underwire, and the other horizontally from the gore. With the straps shortened all the way, the slightly bigger breast achieved a perfect Cleo roundness, without Marcie's slight in-cup bulging. The smaller breast experienced slight wrinkling above the wire and at the cup's upper edge, but I'm pretty sure I could've smoothed those out if I'd forced the adjuster over the embroidered front part of the strap. I may try this if I go back to the store.
I also wanted to praise Charmelle 28 in Palo Alto, California, for having a 30F in stock. They have few 30 bands in what I consider the serious bra brands. If I didn't find non-plunge gores so painful, I'd buy this in a second. I'd love a comfy, easy-to-pack sheer bra in a nude-for-me that obscures my nipples.
I'll update this review if I try this bra on again. Read more 154 more words
This bra has a firmer band than the Satin, stretching only (properly) to around 32" instead of all the way to 35", so with my new band size I need a 30, but definitely not a 28.
I've sort of gone off molded cup strapless bras after my disastrous experience with the Fantasie Smoothing Moulded Strapless Bra (4530) , which I got bullied into buying in 32FF before getting home ...and finding that it was comically too big under dresses. (Like, the 32F was too small, quadding visibly, but this is a shape problem -- it's too darn shallow for me, and the FF responded to a tight dress by VISIBLY DENTING.) ...Basically, if I'm going to be potentially wearing something tight, I would rather have a soft cup bra.
I also had to keep tugging this bra up, even when I was just trying it on to take pictures https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The strapless nightmare. Read more 89 more words
This bra is great! Nice, lifted, rounded shape under clothes. Excellent support for a full work day on my feet. I bought two since I loved the first one so much. Gore is fairly high and doesn't tack against my chest, but this doesn't seem to compromise support. Great for full on bottom breasts. Provides a lot of support for side tissue as well.

Incredibly beautiful, fabric feels amazing, but this is just too full-coverage for me. Stretchy fabric conforms easily without losing shape, so I would think this would make it more forgiving for different shapes, less cutting in, etc.
Lovely pink colour. Cups completely encompass my breasts without any extra space on the bottoms or sides. Sheer, but lace is placed strategically to obscure the nipple. My left breast is slightly smaller so it doesn't quite fill the lace on the top. Lace is not scratchy. Only one hook on bra closure which looks quite strained at the end of the day. Pretty ribbon and bow details. Gore sits right on my sternum. No gaping or quadboob. This bra fits me well. It was expensive though. I paid $165 CDN.
This is a gorgeous, sophisticated looking mesh bra in a mocha color scattered with small red embroidered flowers -- I SO wanted it to fit. Sensitive types will appreciate the thin, flexible wires, which have extra cushioning like all of the Prima Donna bras I've tried, and the lack of scratchy picot edging and side seam boning. The lower cup and side-support panel are lined with very soft, light cotton so the nips don't show. The upper lace panel is very stretchy, soft and the edge is reinforced by elastic. The wide straps are almost fully adjustable, smooth, satiny elastic, with a couple of inches of small embroidered ...applique flowers climbing them like a trellis. Delightful!
PETITES: Short women with small rib cages will appreciate the close-set 6.5" back strap placement and the diminuitive 12" distance from outer wire tip to outer wire tip, as well as the minimal 3/8" underband, which is scooped out below the gore to give lots of tummy room. This is not a bra that will dig into short girls' ribs when you sit down.
BAND: Like the 65F - Prima Donna » Aurora Underwired Bra (0162631), the 22.5" unstretched band is even shorter than the usual Prima Donna 65 band, which I measured at 23.5 in the Prima Donna Madison Plunge and 24" in the 65E - Prima Donna » Couture Underwired Bra (0162580). The band stretches about two inches before the wire tips begin to spread out and distort the shape of the cup, so if your tight underband measurement is more than 26.5", you may have issues with the wires poking and the cups not fitting properly. I am a snug 27" and I had quadboob and poking under the arms despite not filling the cups fully due to the distortion. The band is very stretchy and will not feel too tight on a 29" ribcage -- but the super-flexible, narrow wires, very short band, and elastic-backed edge of the upper lace panel will magnify each other into disaster territory. Go up a band size or two, or expect to use an extender.
CUP: The Prima Donna First Lady has a 3-part cup consisting of a curved side support panel that comprises the outer 1/4" of the cup, a deep, lower "cat's ear" shaped panel with a curved transverse seam about 3/4" above the nipple that comprises approximately half of the cup, and a 2" wide sheer rectangular mesh panel that comprises the upper 1/4" of the cup. It is almost identitical in cut to the 65F - Prima Donna » Couture Underwired Bra (0162581), except there is no hidden vertical center seam in the lining of the lower cup for extra lift. In my opinion, this makes the First Lady a great bra for very full on bottom or very full all around shapes. For those like me who are deflated on top, somewhat full on the bottom and very squishy, the result was two pyramids! I did not have that problem in the 65E - Prima Donna » Deauville Underwired Bra (0161810) which has the same design, except the upper panel is a full inch wider -- putting the curved transverse seam right at the nipple -- and the shorter lower panel has a center vertical seam in the cup lining to give extra lift.
The Prima Donna Couture Three Part Cup Underwire is a seriously comfortable bra, made of soft, stretchy lace without a hint of itchiness. The full cup style gives excellent coverage and the outer upper quadrant of the cup is stretchy and very forgiving for those with armpit/strap boobs embarking on the Great Migration Home. For those sensitive to seams, this cup is lined with a very soft, featherweight tricot. The tall gore and sides fully encapsulate without seeming intrusive, even on my 5'2", 29" underbust frame. The band and wires are fairly stretchy (more Freya than Panache) without side seam boning, but it feels secure. The very, ...very minimal underband is just 3/8" and cuts away up to the bottom of the gore, allowing it to not press on short-lady tummies. The straps are fully adjustable, supersoft felt-like elastic with a tiny pleated ribbon running up the center and no irritating lace or tricot along the edges to itch or rub.
After trying on the 65F (the smallest size), which felt too small, the saleswoman at the bra boutique pushed me to go with the 65G despite the bit of wrinkling in the upper lace of both cups. Once I got it home and tried it driving and sitting for a while, I realized there is about a finger width of gap in the outer bottom of the cups above the wire.
Overall, this is a great bra and could even work as a sleep bra or the go-to refuge for PMS week. Read more 144 more words
Best bra ever! I’ve had these in several colours, and worn them almost daily for years - beautiful, amazing quality, most comfortable bra I’ve ever tried and gives the perfect natural-but-better shape. I used to wear these in 32G, but have lost some weight and can’t afford to buy new ones in the right size - I still miss it every single time I put on a bra...
The 44H - » Deauville Underwired Bra (0161811)Prima Donna is one of my favorite bras. It is so comfortable I can sleep in it. It's not a perfect fit anymore I'd gone up bigger than the cup size and this didn't quite hold my boobs (a bit of boob on chest action) because I had to go up to a 44 to get the right cup size. I didn't alter the bra...too lazy. I've recently changed size again and will be ordering a 40I to see if that will work for me now.
I chose the appearance as good because it is a more simple design. i love it, but I also love fancy embroidery, etc. This is an excellent bra for me!
Super comfortable, very high quality bra. This model is discontinued but Prima Donna uses basically the same constructions over and over again with their full cup bras, so this should be fairly representative of their current offerings.
The bra's best features: very nice materials, virtually no stretch in the straps, super deluxe firm and wide elastics that do not stretch out (bra band measures almost the same after a day's wear), excellent uplift, very comfortable, cup is deep enough without being miles too wide (I have about 3/4 inch empty space between boob crease and underwire, as opposed to 1.5in or more in most other bras), band is ...firm but does not dig in.
Small quibbles: I could use a gore that's a hair narrower (or could alter it, but since the tiny indent occurring on my larger breast is undetectable under clothes, I really cannot be bothered). I also have a personal preference for a vertical seam going up the middle of the lower panel on the cup, because it adds a little roundness. I have no problem with the pointy vintage look though! I am sorry about the fit of this bra doesn't work for you. But maybe you are lucky, being prima Donna's are so expensive! : )
