    Didn't fit

I got this one to try since the cup area on my 30K ones were a bit too tight and they don’t make a 30KK. I am not a fan of Pink but it was the only color I could find in the 32K and that qualified for Prime Wardrobe so I went ahead and ordered it. I have the same bra in black and white in the 30K, but they are slightly different as this one does not have that Velcro strap covering the hooksets.

The Impact Free Sports bra is unpadded, without underwires and uses compression instead of separation to secure the breasts. While it feels ... secure it will increase the likelihood of breast sweat and friction irritation which is a downside.

My husband liked this one for some reason and said he felt I should keep it over the Freya if I was going to keep just one. He liked the shape it gave better, stating it matched my normal shape.

I only tried it on for a few minutes for photos, and realized afterwards (while cropping the photos) that I hadn’t attempted to adjust the straps, and that I put the bra on slightly crooked which is quite noticeable from the back photo, haha. I do feel this one is a better fit cup wise than the Freya one, but still has the strap/armpit curve issue which would become worse if I try to tighten the straps down (they are completely out in the photos and felt snug that way, but I think I’d get a better lift if I tried tightening them a bit, though I can’t say that would be comfortable for my shoulders or my armpit.) Overall the bra feels good on, snug and supportive-even the band felt doable on the tightest hook set, but still not an ideal fit….. So, like the Freya Core Sports bra, I am undecided as to whether or not I should keep this one. Why does Sports Bra shopping have to be so difficult?!?

    And for the technical aspects:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 25.25” and stretches to a max of 30” so it runs small which is common for the Royce Impact Free Sports bra from my experience. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops and does not come with the velco over-closure.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

Well it looks good if that means anything!? I own 3 of the same sports bras, because once I found one that worked, I stopped trying to find another brand I liked. It's just easier this way, lol.

    • 1

      Thanks Wilderness1.
I decided to return both Sports bras though. This one did not pass the bounce test which tells me the cup area was too big. The 30K Royce ones I have (which I have 3 of for the same reason 😀) had my breasts on lockdown, and while this one felt snug in the breast area, it did not stop them from bouncing any more than my Ewa bras do.... :-/

Bras can be so deceptive sometimes!

    • 1

There is always the two sports bras trick. 😑

    • 1

I thought about trying that with two DE bras......maybe it will work? Or putting a DE bra over Ewa's S style.....hum......😋

    • 1

The amount of wrinkling in the side photos made me wonder how locked down you would feel, MamaPagan , although I do agree with Wilderness1 that it does look good... just maybe not so useful for high impact aerobics etc. Bras can be VERY deceptive. :D

    • 1

Completely agreed dfe98we. I was needing it to run around with my 5 year old for PE (homeschooling) so since it didn't pass my bounce test I knew it wouldn't work for running around with him outside. Definitely wouldn't give lockdown for sure!

    • 2

I’m not a fan of pink either but it does look pretty good. But if it fails the bounce test, it is not staying. Agreed.

    • 1

Calluna , I agree. For working out, bounce test is critical. I wear a custom size Enell — maximum lockdown

Oh, this bra. Definitely mixed opinions on this. I haven't decided whether I will keep it or not. It's not great, but the selection for J+ sports bras is quite limited, so it may be the best I can do.

Firstly, this bra runs small in the band! Like don't just get the bigger of two sizes you might wear, actually size up a band size from your larger possible size. On the other hand, the band seems to have already stretched a little just from trying it on 3 or 4 times. The first time I could barely close it on the first set of hooks, now I ... can comfortable move it to the 2nd.
Also the cup sizing is a little weird. According to Figleaves, the K cup is equivalent to US-M, when ordinarily a UK K cup would be equivalent to US-O, just to give you an idea. I don't know how the letters on their size chart work, exactly, so I'm not sure what will be the case for other cup sizes.

    So, the good:
I really like how it looks in this color. I love the heather gray with black and pink detailing. It looks sporty, and like something that could be seen at the gym and not look too much like underwear.

Overall, it's pretty comfortable. The band is nice and wide and supportive, and mostly stays where it belongs (it seems to want to roll a little sometimes). I actually like how high up the front comes, I want that kind of coverage in a sports bra, to keep my boobs out of my neck. The lack of underwire means the sides are comfortable as I move my arms around, nothing rubbing or poking my arms.

There are four rows of 3-hooks. I like having the additional flexibility of an extra row of hooks.

    The in-between:
They have at least tried to make this bra separate your boobs a bit, with the way the entirely-soft front is constructed. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Now, it's possible that if I could get a bigger cup size this separation would work better, but as it is, in a size that at least seems to fit reasonably well (as far as my whole boobs fit in the cups), my boobs are completely pushed together in the middle and not separated at all.

Bounce control is okay. Boobs-out-of-neck is okay. Both of these things would be significantly better, I think, if the straps were shorter, so that my boobs were held more tightly against my body, and the top of the bra came up a little higher.

    The bad:
The straps don't adjust short enough. There's really only a small section of strap that is adjustable, and it doesn't go short enough. I need the front to be pulled up more to get the best fit, otherwise, my boobs sag down below the band in front.
The strap attachment in back is the oval kind with two parts, and it turns (not surprisingly), which makes it dig in.
(If I keep this sports bra, I am going to open up the strap attachment, and replace these with rings, and re-attach the straps shorter.)

That stupid velcro panel in back! The bra has a velcro piece that is supposed to close over the hooks in back, presumably to make it look less underwear-like and more appropriate to wear without a shirt over it. That's a nice idea, I guess, but it is really poorly thought out. First of all, the velcro panel really only closes properly when the bra is hooked on the tightest hook. On the first hook it doesn't close at all, and on the second it sorta closes, but doesn't stay very well. It is stiff and the end curls outward, so it doesn't look very good, and would probably get caught on shirts and stuff. This velcro piece also makes closing the bra more difficult (at least for back-closing).

This bra was in a cheap bra bundle I won in ebay. Otherwise I would have never bothered with it.
Since I already have it, I'll review it and put a warning out there. This bra runs insanely small in the band. The 32 band feels like a 28 band. It has barely any stretch and its a very thick rigid material. So pure torture if it's too small. I used an extender for my pics but the bra strap position on my back then became ridiculous and almost falling off.
This bra has no padded cups or wires inside, it's just a basic top. I guess the support comes ... from the compression + tight band? The fabric feels quite nice it's mostly cotton lined. It would make a really nice sleep or lounge bra if it weren't for all those issues.
I can't say anything about if it works as a sports bra because the fit was so bad on me. I would not recommend it. There are better sports bras out there. In my size range I recommend Elomi Energise, Bravissimo Apollo & Inspire!

Got this bra on a clearance/final sale, so didn't pay much for it. I generally have low expectations for final sale items as there is always a good reason retailers have to take such deep markdowns. However, sometimes you get a great score, so I gambled.

Anyway, about the bra. The fabric is a firm knit jersey in ivory with tiny black polka dots. There is a black lace edging at the top of the cups. The straps are wide and very close set in from the shoulders, which feel very secure. They are fully adjustable.

The band is firm, but seems true to size for a 32. It has ... a U-back and 3 rows of hooks x 4 columns.

About the cups. Well, as someone in another review said, this is a bra you wouldn't want your SO to see you in. The cups are very long and give a splayed, torpedo-ish, downward appearance. Very unflattering and not very supportive.

Having nothing to lose, I decided some bra surgery was in order, so I reduced the upper part of the cup to make it wearable. I took out about an inch of fabric at the apex, tapering at the sides. It still gives an east-west-ish look, or maybe a more omega shape now. The cups are more rounded and less bullet-y this way. Album is here: http://bra.pe/YBue/

Overall, I'm going to count this as a win. I wore it today to do some housework that required a lot of reaching, bending, twisting, etc and it definitely held me in place.

Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft.

Awesome--thanks for your detailed photos. It's incredible the fit improvement your alterations created. Wow.

    • 1

Funny that I used to be a professional seamstress, but bra alterations give me hives. This one I didn't hesitate on simply because the construction was so straightforward. I used to alter bridal gowns, but for some reason, bras seem so much more complex. Go figure.

    • 1

Great job! Really improved the fit. I am thinking to try to make a few new bras re-using some of the findings and parts from my old bras.

Extremely small band. I had bought this size, with prior research to its sizing facts, thinking I would be a 26 band.
Turns out I am a 30 or bigger 28, as this bra band is very small in the band. The cups had some space in them and therefore it really is the band on its own that is too small, rather than small cups making the band tighter.
Would recommend for a projected to fairly projected 26G/24GG.
I am wide-rooted and shallow, and therefore the cups had way too much space that was not filled out, projection-wise.

Quality is decent, though- good for its cheap price (purchased from Ebay).

    36G

    Didn't fit

    Overview: complete failure for me
This is the worst sports bra I've tried to date (I've tried: Bravissimo Inspire, Elomi Energise, Freya Active, Panache sports bra, and Shock Absorber). Either it runs very large and I was wearing completely the wrong size, or it has no support whatsoever.

Band: true to size, but awkward
I ordered a 36G, which is the larger of the two band sizes I routinely wear. I clipped it on the second hook of four rows, which is probably better than wearing it on the outermost hook, which would cause problems with fastening the velcro hook cover (it only seems to completely attach on the ... innermost sets of hooks; what's the point of that?).

Straps: half adjustable, don't go short enough
The straps were shortened as much as I could shorten them, which was clearly not enough. I'm not someone who routinely has problems with half adjustable straps, so this generally means the straps are long.

    Coverage: excellent
The bra comes up quite high on the chest and completely covers my collarbone. It's the first sports bra I've encountered which completely encapsulates my breast tissue.

Fit: strange, and not in a good way
The bra has some unusual fit issues. At the bottom of the cups there is a sort of "shelf" which extends for a few centimeters before my breast spills over it and down. I've tried to take a picture of this. At a guess, it isn't made for softer breasts. Another strange thing is that the top part of the bra is quite loose, instead of being pressed firmly against the skin. I can easily stick a finger in the armhole and pull the bra out somewhat. Needless to say, this makes the high coverage useless; it's little more than a tank top on the upper part of my chest. Actually, a tight tank top might offer more compression. Mind you, this is supposed to be a compression bra not an encapsulation bra: it doesn't have wires. I've included a picture of this as well.

    Bounce test: ouch!
I could tell that I was bouncing a lot, even when I took up the slack of the straps with my hands. But I couldn't tell just how bad it was until I looked at the video. Yikes! I've said in the past that with some other bras I might as well not be wearing them, but I have to retract those comments to say that some other bras were no better than wearing a normal bra not intended for sports. This bra was worse than anything I have ever seen. I would get less bounce wearing an everyday bra. I may as well have been nude, except that I think my breasts would have had a more flattering shape as they flew up to my mouth had I been naked. At the bottom of the bounce they were saggy teardrops, in mid-bounce they were flattened east-west pancakes, and then at the top of the bounce they were torpedos aimed at my chin.

    • prettyNpetite - My failures continue. I am really curious about how you'll get on with the Enell, which it sounded like you were ready to order.

    • 1

Thanks for pinging me! Seems like we're gonna be sports bra buddies haha. Yeah, I'll do my best to order it sometime soon, problem is that I'm supposed to install this so called Bank ID on my computer to be able to order stuff online (I turned 18 in december, I've tried numerous times to install this shit but it won't work according to the instructions of my bank's website on how to do it) and it won't work. I've got the money to order right now, but technicalities are making things difficult -_- I'll try to swing by my bank's office tomorrow if I have time for it, I'm going to Norway for the weekend. I'm really hoping it'll work, I'll make sure to notify you when I've ordered it and when I've received it :)

Yikes... That explanation sounded really sucky. I've had a hunch the Royce Impact is nothing more than a "try" of a sports bra. It seems like it's just jersey material, a thick jersey that you'll find in a t-shirt. I think that the only way to make it "work" is to down-size in the cups. I dunno, maybe your size was off but I highly doubt it. Bras and body image's bounce clip of it made me cringe: http://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/2013/03/22/my-hunt-for-a-sports-bra/

    • Her bounce test looks a bit like my Panache one, which I think is not so bad. My bounce test is hilarious.

    • Wow, yeah, it really was! I understood your explanation on how the bounce looked like now. I don't really think her bounce test result would cut it for me, sure, it restricts a fair amount, but I'm looking for the "no inch" bra. I'm hoping Enell will be it! :D

    • The flat pancake bit could certainly have been better explained with a picture, but I couldn't get a decent quality still from the video.

I agree that what she got wouldn't be good enough for me for high impact. It's about what I get with both Shock Absorber and Panache, which I use for medium impact sports: bike riding and the cross trainer. I wouldn't want to use something like that for high impact like running.

    • 1

Hi again, Aaa! :) I just wanted to let you know that I just ordered the Enell sports bra! :) Now the waiting begins... I haven't written anything on my blog for a good while (haven't really felt like it and I've had no big news) but I sure will when it arrives! :) I'm not really sure when to expect the arrival to Sweden (ordered from www.lessbounce.com which is located in the UK as far as I know) because it can vary so much. Sometimes it has only taken a mere 2 days from the UK, sometimes 14 days excluding the weekends. I'll get back to you.

    Didn't fit

The band is fairly stretchy (stretches from 22 to 28 inches), so my fit comes up less supportive than I want for a running sports bra, however I have a 25" under-bust. The band has four columns of hooks and a Velcro portion.

In my size range, the cup size might run a little big. I would order your normal cup size plus a cup size down to see if it compresses better. I hear that other size ranges may run small instead. The cup fabric is very soft cotton, somewhat thin and stretchy, and lightly compresses and encapsulates. The high cup height is great for 'tall' breasts.

Overall the bra is very comfortable and I'll save it for lighter exercises and home wear but not for running. My 28E - Panache Sport » Non Wired Sports Bra (7341) is another non-wired sports bra that gives me better support running because the cups are firm and so resist movement better, the band is tighter and firmer, and the shoulder straps hook together in the back, adding stability.

This is a perfect example of how brands don't make bras consistent across the sizing scale. I have 3 of these in a 30K and all three ran very small in the band and small in the cup.

    • 1

Thank you for this review! I’ve been looking for a running bra that comes high up on the chest and I’m adding this one to the list to try out. I recently tried some Shock Absorbers that look similar to this, but definitely down come up too high. Happy to hear it’s also comfy to wear all day long too.

    • 1

MamaPagan i remember reading other reviews of this bra that said that too! i wish there were more measurements of this model. (i say that while still neglecting to measure mine ..for now)
braluv i'm glad it helped, yeah i bought this one pretty much because of the height! this one is not as tight in the band as shock absorbers and does not cut into my near-armpit breast tissue as much.

    • yogurt That's what makes the multiple reviews and data so helpful though! So we can see such variations within the sizing. I love that we can pull our information together like this.

It would be wonderful to have more data to fill in the blanks and see where the shift in design occurs, wouldn't it?

The bra really is great for the price, so I am surprised it isn't more popular.

Royce Impact Free S826 30K White
This is my 3rd Impact Free wireless bra, this one in White. As this is a wireless, I did my best at measuring the cup parts, but know they are not an exact perfect measurement.

The band measured larger than the Black ones, with 23” to a max of 28”. This still makes this bra more of a 28 band, but excellent for those of us who need a 26-28 band, especially in a cup over a J which is otherwise not existent in a sports bra. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops as well, with Velcro that covers ... the hooks so it can be worn without a shirt.

The cups area is really more of a singular section without really much separation, but in order to enter this bra to 100% I did my best to fill in the measurements, haha. The “Cup” measured roughly 10” and stretched to around 13” and is about 6” wide but since there are no wires these are really rough figures.

3 of the 4 Royce bras I purchased this time came without the standard plastic outer bag and without tags. Only one came with a tag, which was a bit disappointing, but at a whopping price of under $7 ea, I won’t complain. While all 4 bras were supposed to be new, I cannot say with all confidence that what I received was the case. Both White bras were dirty, as if they’d been stored on the bottom of the warehouse floor. Again, disappointing, but not a big deal as they are washable.

I have yet to wear this one, and will try to remember to update with photos when I do, but wouldn’t anticipate much difference between the fit from the first one.

I prefer U-back sport bras rather then racer-back so when I saw this bra available I decided to try it. The band is very tight and hard to fasten. It has Velcro to help secure it but the Velcro only works if using the tighter hooks. Since I use the looser hooks and it kept getting stuck everywhere I cut off the Velcro. I probably could still get a good fit if I went up a band size but I wanted to make sure it was tight enough. The shoulder straps are too short for my long frame so the back sits higher then it should. This is ... an encapsulating bra so there is space for each boob but the cups are a little small and there nothing in the center to keep them apart I do have some touching. The inside cups are seamless while the outside has seam that puckers a little because the cups are too small. If I was wearing this bra for lounging I would size up but for working out I prefer the cups tighter. The bra is 81% cotton so it does a good job of absorbing sweat but not drying quickly and can be very hot and uncomfortable after a work-out. The bra comes up very high and shows with most of my shirts. I also dislike the pink.

    Royce Impact Free S826 30K

The Royce Impact Free High Impact Sports bra is a wireless unpadded sports bra. It comes in White, Black, and Grey. This review is for the Black version, size 30K. I ordered this on eBay for only $7.01 with free shipping, so it was a really cheap gamble.

The band is very firm which is great. It measures 22.25” flat from end to end and stretches to a max of 27.5” making it perfect for me but not at all practical for a true 30 band (or 28 band for that matter!) The band is 2” wide and what I’d call a comfort band as ... it is thick and does not dig into the skin. It has 3 sets of hooks and 4 rows of eye loops that are covered by a Velcro strap.

The cups area is really more of a singular section without really much separation, but in order to enter this bra to 100% I did my best to fill in the measurements, haha. The “Cup” measured roughly 10” and stretched to around 12” and is about 6.5” wide but since there are no wires these are really rough figures.

The wing is 7” tall from the bottom of the band or 5” from the top of it. It has nice wide comfort straps at around 1.1” at the shoulder. The height at the “gore” is 10” from the bottom of the band, and the cup height from the top of the band is 11” so it does keep the breasts secure & in place without risk of a flop out. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

As most of the reviews I’d read about this bra in the past were not glowing, I had avoided it at its original price tag of $50. Yet for $7, I felt it was worth the risk, and I am glad I did. My idea was to use it as an escape from wired bras, more of a supportive lounge bra than for workouts, as I am not one to exercise regularly.

This bra isn’t meant to separate the breasts, just keep them secure; though I wouldn’t wear it to run any marathons it will serve its purpose for low impact aerobics such as Yoga/Walking/Housework or lounging around. It definitely would not do well for High Impact as it is marketed as.

As for fit, the band is great and firm, wide for comfort so no digging in, and actually measures shorter than all my Ewa 60(28) bands so provides more support. The cups, as stated, do not separate but do fit perfectly full without feeling crushed. Again, they feel supported yet comfortable.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the bra and ordered 2 more as well as 2 of the wireless Sadie comfort bras which were also under $7 from the same vendor on eBay, Worsleywear.

Does literally nothing to lift and define my breasts. I might as well go braless. Bra might be a few cup sizes too large- need bra to compress closer to chest.

Royce Impact Free S826 30K Black
This is my second purchase of the Impact Free in Black. As this is a wireless, I did my best at measuring the cup parts, but know they are not an exact perfect measurement.

The band measured similar to the first one, with 22” to a max of 27.5”. This obviously makes this bra not very good as a 30 band, but excellent for those of us who need a 26-28 band. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops as well, with Velcro that covers the hooks so it can be worn without a shirt.

The cups area is really more ... of a singular section without really much separation, but in order to enter this bra to 100% I did my best to fill in the measurements, haha. The “Cup” measured roughly 10” and stretched to around 12.25” and is about 6” wide but since there are no wires these are really rough figures.

This was the only bra from this order that arrived with the tag and the outer plastic bag indicating it was a new bra.

I have yet to wear this one, and will try to remember to update with photos when I do, but wouldn’t anticipate much difference between the fit from the first one.

    Royce Sadie Wirefree 30K Ivory
This Sadie bra is an unpadded wireless bra, with 4 parts to the cup, in the Ivory Silver colorway. As this is a wireless, I did my best at measuring the cup parts, but know they are not an exact perfect measurement.

The band is larger than anticipated, stretching to a max of 31”, as I was hoping it would be tight and tiny like the Impact Free bras. This one has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops, which appears to be standard for the 30K.

The gore is narrow with the channels being overlapped for a gore width of ½” and tall ... at 5.63” so ever so slightly taller than the Black one.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15.25”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height is around 11” so full coverage and an inch taller than the Black version.

As for fit, this felt like the Black version while on, too shallow on bottom, cups full and constrictive, a bit small but comfortable. Like with the Black version, I only tried this one for about a minute, so I’ll need to update after I wear it to assess if it is truly comfortable with all day wear.

It is worth mentioning that 3 of the 4 Royce bras I purchased this time came without the standard plastic outer bag and without tags, which was a bit disappointing, but at a whopping price of under $7 ea, I won’t complain. While all 4 bras were supposed to be new, I cannot say with all confidence that what I received was the case. Both White bras were dirty, as if they’d been stored on the bottom of the warehouse floor. Again, disappointing, but not a big deal as they are washable.

    8/26/18 update

Okay, so today I am wearing the Sadie in Ivory and had my hubby take photos. His first comment was that it looks like an old lady bra and not appealing. Looking at the photos, I must agree. The cups are definitely too small and quite flattening and east/west. My breasts look saggy in this bra, while they do not actually sag in real life, go figure. The look is far from appealing, and does not look any better under a shirt. While this is comfortable, it is not one I’d wear in public.

After my husband made a few comments about the look throughout the morning, I opted to just take it off, as it just wasn't worth the mocking...... :-/

The search continues for a comfortable alternative to my daily Ewa bras.......

This Sadie bra is an unpadded wireless bra, with 4 parts to the cup, in the Black/Silver colorway. As this is a wireless, I did my best at measuring the cup parts, but know they are not an exact perfect measurement.

The band is firmer than a true 30 band, stretching to a max of 29”, but not as tight as the Impact Free Sports bra I tried prior in a 30K. This one has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops, which appears to be standard for the 30K.

The gore is narrow with the channels being overlapped for a gore width of ... ½” and tall at 5.6”.

    Cup Depth as measured by:

As for fit, cups are comfy snug, feeling a bit small/constrictive but supportive. The gore sits 3.5-4 fingers off the sternum but it feels comfortable. I only tried this on for about a minute, so I can’t say how it would feel after a few hours of wear. I will try to remember to update after wear, and add bra on photos as well.

One down side is that the cups are definitely shallow on the bottom! There is no way my breasts would fit into the bottom of the cups at all. It always amazes me to see a bra in such a large cup size that has no immediate projection. Seriously, what is the manufacturer thinking?!?

Another point worth mentioning is that 3 of the 4 Royce bras I purchased this time came without the standard plastic outer bag and without tags. I like non wired bras so I though I'd try this as Royce are supposed to be specialist in non wired.... anyway it was horrid... just like everyone else has said, it seemed to be compressing my boobs downwards and was pointy and gave absolutely no side support or lift. You'd be better off not wearing a bra at all, its that bad ;(

I had a Royce bra (may have been the same one), and I agree, it was just awful! I got the same shape from it. I would wear it for working around the house, but I was so depressed wearing it, I had to get rid of it.

So I got this bra to wear around the house. It definitely needs to stay at home because the shape it gives it probably the least flattering on me that I've seen yet. Even my old, ill-fitting 32DDDs were more flattering than this bra is. By itself, it's alright looking.

The band is incredibly tight. Like, I needed the full length of an extender and could probably use another set of hooks, tight. The fabric is pretty soft, though perhaps a tiny bit rough to the touch while not being itchy.

The cups though... where do I start?
They're like downward pointing, flattened, east-west torpedoes. The seam along ... the neckline/top of the cups is a little tight and gives me the slightest quaddage. The gore, of course, doesn't tack. If I scoop my boobs away from eachother, some separation is maintained, but there is absolutely no lift. In fact, I want to say it's flattening my boobs down towards my belly button. The straps are more centered.

The main reason I wanted a soft cup bra, was again, to wear at home. I don't want to wear out my "good" bras by wearing them at home, but I absolutely hate the feeling of my pendulous breasts touching my chest. I need something with a properly sized band (and big enough cups), to keep a barrier there. This bra does serve that purpose.
I almost don't want to keep it because I feel like S/M/L sports bras do a better job of shaping, but I've yet to find one that is tight enough around the underbust while still having room for my breasts.

It's weird. I didn't care so much about the shape when I ordered the bra, since I knew it would only be worn at home. But seeing it on and being used to the shape that Ewa and Cleo give... this is kind of depressing in comparison. It makes me feel like my grandmother.

I feel you sister!!! I tried a similar Royce design after having my first baby, with identical results. Trust me there are better soft cups out there! How small are you around the ribcage? Take a look at the soft cups under my bra list--many of them are dead cheap, very easy to alter in the band, and offer lots of support and uplift even if the shape is pointier than many people would wanna wear outside the house. (Not me though, I'm shameless. Or perhaps fearless. Either way, I don't care!)

    • Ohh, you have some much better looking ones! My underbust is 27.5 BTT and I prefer the band to stretch to 29-29.5. Not afraid of altering though, so I'm totally gunna dig around now! Thanks!

    • The cheapest and easiest to find are definitely the Exquisite Form and the Playtex. 34 bands fit me snugly, I'm about 28.5BTT. EF has two 2-inch elastic bits that would be super easy to remove. You can find Triumph Doreens on ebay from German vendors for about $25--my 34 feels like a 30 so with a small alteration it could probably work for you.

    • Not a very nice shape

I should have read the reviews on this site about this bra. I was shocked at how pointed the cups are and how they point down! But it's comfy and works under my casual old navy tshirts. So I'll keep it but wow, this is the kinda bra I'd hide from my partner or a date!

I never tried a bra so utterly wrong for my breasts!!
The cups are incredibly small (3 cupsizes or more), they made my tissue bulge out everywhere and my boobs very pointily pointed DOWN! *shudder*
