The band fits ok. The cups are too small, expecially on the side (they finishes before the end of the breast) and in the centre (there is no separation at all). This bra gives you some pointy shape but you can easily hidden it when you are dressed. This is a very cheap bra, so I think that anyway it does its work.
I really like this bra for wearing around the house. And since I wear this around, I don't really care too much about how it looks. That said, it's the only house bra I have that does a good job of pushing my boobs towards the center of my chest (which is my preference when wearing bras). Not much lift, but that's to be expected.
My usual size is the UK 32F. The 32 band on this bra is a bit tight with little give, which can be a plus since this is a non-wired bra but can end up hurting when I'm lounging on the sofa or bed. I'd recommend going up a band size for comfort if you're just going to wear it around the house and want to be comfortable.
This bra kind of sucks. The cups are really tall and show under all scoop neck tops, you have to wear a crew neck with it which is not flattering given my cup size. At least the polka dot lace is cute when it shows but I'd prefer it to be lower cut. The clips are the sort that snap over a little hook and they are easy to undo one handed but putting them back on requires two hands as the hooks are really high up on the shoulders they ride up almost to the back) and the cup comes down very low. The straps are quite thick ...at the top but only across the top they switch to narrower elastic at the back. The shape is very unattractive, the apex of the cup is very low giving a saggy and flattened appearance. The width is good but I feel very unattractive in this bra. The elastic at the band could be wider. There is no separation of the breasts at all, which means it gets very sweaty, I realise for a wire free bra this is hard but this is pretty bad. I measure at 36K and I would prefer a 36 band but the cups would then be too small I think. I get quadboob already when my breasts are full. The wings can be quite uncomfortable and seem to sit high under the arms and the elastic folds over a bit there. I would not repurchase this bra now that I have found the elomi beatrice fits better and is more appealing. Read more 156 more words
This is shockingly supportive, especially for a cotton bra. The band is firm, and the cups keep my breasts very, very still. From a support standpoint, I would not hesitate to use this as a gym bra (although it might not be *quite* supportive enough for running, but what is?). With that said, it is not the most comfortable. The straps are very close to the neck, which make them cut into my neck muscles and feel less comfortable than bras where the straps sit at the typical spot on the outer collarbone/inner shoulders. The band is incredibly hard to fasten, and I'm not sure how I'd do it without help.
May run a bit big in the cup - while the top of the cup lays flat on me, theres empty space I cant fill. I don't have enough apex projection or top fullness or something. Otherwise shallow and wide, but not impossibly so. Tight band. Straps surprisingly short and narrow.
This bra appears to be like other Royce Sports bras. The band, while it seems to stretch out, feels very tight and it's hard to get the bra on. There is some compression on the top but not enough, so this doesn't work for sports. All the support seems to be in the straps so it's quite uncomfortable for me. It's very soft otherwise and I would have liked it to have worked.
Ive got this as a part of pack with other bra. This wireless bra looks so gorgeous - soft pink with little dotties all over the cups. Band is plain pink. The band seems its stretching easily when I was measuring but!! Its so tight as it has high sides (love them!) so I hardly can even close it. It is really snug, like EM or Comexim in 65 but less stretchy! The straps are narrow set. probably narrowest that I have ever seen! as it is wireless bra, the cups are bit wide, but not bad at all as well. it gaves me this torpedo look, but for sleeping bra who would care? shame it doesnt fit me as I cant imagine sleeping with extender in order to make this bra workable.
This style is a little better than the 38HH - Royce » Sadie Nursing (819) style in that the cups don't seem QUITE as droopy as Sad Sadie! But it still has the same pointy look you may know and love from Royce bras. It's also a little cuter because there's a shear mesh with small poka-dots along the top, a lace-like ribbing between the shear top and the silky panel below, and of course the standard bow in a shiny matching colour at the top of the gore.
Just like the Sadie, I went up a size in the band and two sizes in the cup ...and awfully glad I did! If I thought the Sadie was tight, the Charlotte is even TIGHTER. The only way to get the bra on was to loosen the straps first. This model also suffers from the under arm pit pinch, but not quite as stiff. The band under the arm has more stretch in this model than Sadie, but I still feel Royce would do better if they cut the material more curved (women are not made out of straight lines!).
I think this style would work fine for everyday wear, especially as I have a job that requires me to do a lot of bending and lifting. Still not a date night bra by any means, but as a general doing work around the house and other physical activities, it does the job. Read more 134 more words
The reason this style bra is called a Sadie is because it makes your breasts sad. Basically, the cups allow the breast tissue to just droop. The point is that it's a nursing bra (although they make the exact same style as a "comfort" bra) which will allow breasts to fill with milk and have some room throughout the day in order to do this. I purchased this bra as a sleeping/I've-got-my-period bra because water retention makes my breast tissue swell just like I were lactating.
After reading many reviews on other sites, I determined to get both a band size larger AND a cup (or two) sizes larger. ...I'm glad I did! The band has almost NO stretch to it at all! I could barely get it to clasp on the first row of hooks - and because this is a nursing bra, it has four of them instead of the usual three (women's rib cages expand while pregnant to allow room for growing baby). This fits like a 34GG or 34H. VERY tight, yet the band can stretch to 40 inches! However, there's NO WAY I could have hooked a 36 band, even though I am 33 inches in my rib cage!
Also surprisingly, the cups were small considering the band size. For the measuring of non-wired/soft cup bras, I'm not entirely sure if one should include the side panel in the measurements or not. As underwire bras don't have this panel, I didn't include it with my measurement. With the panel, the depth would be 14 inches, but it fits much differently than an underwire bra with a 14 inch depth. Also, soft cup bras don't really have a gore as the middle doesn't lay flat against one's chest. (It technically can't or the cups would be far too big and the breast tissue would flop around - not really what you want!)
But by comparison to my 40DD - » 18 Hour Original Comfort Strap (4693)Playtex bra, this one actually technically fits. My breasts aren't being compressed into a tight vice. The Royce Sadie Nursing (819) bra has silver thread running through it to help with reducing odor, regulating temperature, being antimicrobial and apparently eliminating static cling (at least of the cloth near your breasts!). Along with a little silvery lace on the top and a tiny little contrasting bow at the top of the gore, that's about as "cute" as these sad-looking cups are going to get. Plus the way it is stitched makes the entire breast tissue pool into an unattractive "point". Definitely NOT a date night bra!
The material is incredibly thin. I think it should be comfortable enough for sleeping. Because it's a nursing bra, it has an extra clasp at the front which also has an additional support strap so that when you unclasp it for nursing, the whole bra doesn't collapse on you. Just run your finger under the back side of the strap, and snap! The front clasp comes undone. May cause a problem if you're just adjusting placement of your strap, but I can see why this would be nice for nursing purposes. Getting it back together, however, is a two-hand process.
I found the band under the arm to be too high up. Playtex solves this by making the material under the arm more curved. Surprisingly, Royce's cut does not have much curvature to allow room for the arm pit. The ribbing along this is ALSO very tight, and this is the point of contention for me with this bra. It's the part that makes it feel like it doesn't really fit. Laying down, however, I don't feel the tightness of the band under the arm, and so I think I can live with it for sleeping purposes (the reason I purchased the bra). Read more 531 more words
I got this bra a long time ago to use as a sleep/lounge bra. I found that the band was quite tight even with an extender, and the cups were slightly large and did not give a flattering shape.
The bra is very firm in the band and fits well in the cups. The velcro strap is a bit odd, but you get used to it. I would have liked the part where the back of the strap meets the band to be wider and curve off futher into the band instead of so far out as I get awkward fat pushed out when usually it's encompassed in the band. Being a 28J there is only so much bounce you can reduce, i mean come on, im not expecting a miracle but for light exercise and jogging it's a good bra. since it comes up quite high, i feel that all my breast tissue has been contained and compressed. This is usually a problem since i have full on top breasts. The only thing i would like changed is for it to be made of a thicker or stronger or stiffer material for some extra shape and support
This is a high quality bra. It prevents my boobs from jumping around while doing sports (I use it to run, for light weight-lifting and dancing). The shape it gives it's more than okay for a sports bra, although my boobs look flat and fuller on the sides when I wear it. The lack of underwires make it really comfortable without losing support thanks to the build and structure of the bra. It is quite snug on the band, though. I've always had to use it on the loosest hook because if not it's so tight it doesn't allow me to breathe well. It may have to do with ...the fact that it is a sports bra and the manufacturers wanted everything to stay in its place. They have definitely achieved that but I wouldn't mind a bit more space in the band. Another problem would be the straps. There's not enough room for adjustments and the plastic thing is never in place. Overall, it's a good sports bra. It does its job, which is to keep things in place.
1) This bra is very comfortable. Even though it lacks underwires, it still provides excellent support.
2) There is usually a very small amount of fabric at the bottom of the cups (very usual for me, no matter what I do), and it is very full coverage, so I can't wear it under certain clothes.
Oh my God, the band is so tight! There's good, easy stretch, but it just flat out refuses to go anything beyond 80cm. Seeing that at the deepest inhale my ribcage expands to 90, that is a problem. It's weird considering other 32 bands fit me just fine, some of them are even too loose. I'm glad I got this bra for a good price off ebay, so I will be keeping it - I got an extender, so I can wear it, because otherwise I like it a lot. And I can easily switch from day to sleep using the extender (I bought the bra as a ...sleeping/lounging bra. Obviously I can sleep with a band that would otherwise ride up if I weren't in bed)
Otherwise, the cups are a good fit. It would be perfect if the straps were more far apart for my wide shoulders, but it can also be an issue of the small band. The cups may seem wide, but are sewn to point straight ahead, so it may be a thing with wireless bras in general. A word of caution - I ussually wear my straps tightened to somewhere in the middle, here I'm comfortable tightening them all the way. This may be a problem for some.
The fabric is very comfortable - soft and breathable - and the style provides good, gentle support. I was particularly impressed by the silky fabric on the back of the closure. The bra looks really pretty- nothing too showy, but really nothing like a grandma bra. It covers quite a lot, but despite that manages to look feminine. It gives me a nice, rounded shape under clothes. Read more 171 more words
Thank you for the review! I've seen Royce and like the prices, but I didn't know anything about them.
