My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! This is a well-worn, well-loved stretch lace bra in a pale blue color. The ink on the label is worn off. I have two others of the same style in gray and eggplant color, as well. The cups don't have enough structure to support me; there is only one seam along the top edge of the cups. This would be a super comfortable sleeping bra, though.

This review and measurements are for the "Magic Wire" version of this bra. It is a molded cup, full coverage bra with a nearly invisible wire that is heavily padded (approaching a push-up bra). In fact, it was tough to measure this bra because the wire is so hard to find. Wires end very quickly upon entering the gore. The "flexible silicone wire" is so flexible that it provides zero support. This caused the top of the gore to float and the wings to stick out at an odd angle (did not sit flat against the skin). Returned quickly.
Fit: * Strap separation: ...fine * Straps adjust short enough: yes * Band length: good (However, elastic is only at the bottom of the band. Inadequate support along the top edge of the band.) * Gore fit: Comfy, spaced well, top floats due to design issues.
* Cup fit: TERRIBLE. The combination of a worthless wire and stretchy band with no wing support caused the weight of the axillary breast tissue to push the wings out at an odd angle. This caused the gore to float with lateral gapping and medial quadding. Most bras gently push on the breast tissue. (I dare say that is a bra's function in life.) For this bra, the breast moves the bra. The cup tries to resist (since it is so thickly molded) but can't without assistance from the underwire and band. Hilarity ensues. (And a seriously fugly shape.)
* Band Height: borderline too short (tiny axillary skin spillage) * Wire length: The wire is length is moot (it is too flimsy and padded to be offensive). However, the bra still pokes my armpit. There is a vertical side seam (maybe even boning) in the wing (presumably to add support; spoiler: it doesn't). This sucker pokes. This bra is marketed towards those that find underwires uncomfortable. Why heavily pad a flimsy underwire then make the side boning poke? Why o' why? (I am petite, so it's not uncommon for a long underwire to poke me in the armpit with movement.)
* Cup width: Ample. Since the breast tissue pushes the top of the band and underwire away from the body, there is oodles of space. Is this spillage? Gappage? A pocket for valuables? (Note: Don't put anything too valuable in there. It will fall out (along with your breast tissue) the first time you raise your arm.)
Pro: Looks great on the hanger. Read more 323 more words
This is a lightly lined, half-cup lace bra with wide-set straps.
Fit Details: * Strap separation: slightly too wide * Straps adjust short enough: barely (Strongly suspect that they wouldn't adjust short enough as the elastic relaxes.) * Band length: good * Band Height: great * Cup fit: BAD. Wide-set, triangular cups that barely covered the nipple. This shape would be good for wide-set breasts with nipples point out to the sides, but NOT my wide-set breasts that point forward. Nipples popped out during scoop & sweep. I could tuck them back in, but am afraid they would escape with activity. Cup smooth along top line (really the ...middle edge of the cup since the "top" line is nearly vertical). Bottom filled nicely. Didn't shape breasts, just covered them. * Gore fit: Good * Wire length: GREAT (This is a tough one for me. I need long wires for wide-set breast tissue but am petite so many long wires poke into the armpit.) * Cup width: GOOD. Wider than most. (Most cups aren't wide enough.)
Misc: * Itchy band. * Covered breasts without providing shape, support, nor projection. This was the deal breaker. Returned. Read more 89 more words
Triumph Amourette UK 32G Light Med Blue Lace stretchy
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
This model was a super stretchy all lace cup. It was very comfortable and well worn, so much to the point of the tag no longer being readable. I am 99% positive the size was 32G. I had it in white, purple, and blue.
The band measured 24” to a max of 37” with 2 hooks and 3 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into ...the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 10.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

This one was a seamless soft and stretchy white unpadded bra. I did not take photos when I had it, sorry.

For whatever reason the white fit as if made for me. I then bought a 2 pack a few weeks later (beige and fushia), which I found too tight across the band. Bought an couple of material extenders (from Myer which cost only a couple of dollars), and wore with the beige bra, until it stretched at little. Seems that some colour dyes change the "stretch" (tighter or looser) of the band. Now fits like a dream. Will do the same with the fushia.
The cups are a bit pointy and I can't quite fill out the bra there in the pointy place so it leaves a little bit of air there. I still love the bra and think that it is the prettiest one I tried on so I will live with the small flaw. (My breast are only 6 weeks old so maybe their shape will change and fill out the pointyness later.)
The straps are more of a 30 and I like that since Im normaly a 28-30. I bought this in 32 because they dont make this in smaller band.
It doesnt lay flat to sternum but I have a inverted sternum so I will probably never find one that does. I think this one is okey anyway, there is not a big gap, its just not flat against.
I love this bra. It is a sports crop top. It does squish the breasts together and flatten a bit as it is a crop top and doesn´t have any cups. It is the most comfortable thing to wear. I use for yoga or around the house, cleaning, going to the supermaret etc. However i wouldn´t wear this to work as being a crop top it doesn´t give the right shape under work clothes. But for yoga i think it looks good and if i get too hot i don´t mind taing my top off and being seen in this (I mean ...at yoga - not just down the street1).
The body feels nice and firm and i get goood uplift and support. However although it is a sports top and i think it is very supportive i wouldn´t want to do high impact exercise in it. Good for walking and yoga but not for running. Although as it is a crop top i think a range of sizes could weat it so people with smaller breasts may find it is fine for more vigorous exercise too.
I bought the 10 ( Australian 10 which i think is the same as UK 10). I wear 28ff bra but think this could also work for a range of sizes like 34b 32d etc. Read more 122 more words
It has never been my favorite bra. The appearance is nice: it's white with light blue dots and some lace on the band. The band is quite firm. I'm having this for about 2 years and still can wear it on the second hooks. The cups are molded, but quite soft, without padding. They are rather wide and deep. But they have quite uncomfortable and strange shape. The upper part of the cup closes too fast and has firm elastic. It cuts into the breast tissue even when the apex of the cup is empty ( FOB friendly?). I had to cut off this elastic and resew it so that it became not so stiff. I wear it only at home because of the given shape, and also because of the color - white is visible under about everything!
Regarding the construction, this a non-wired bra which looks and feels very sturdy. The band is made of one layer of thick and stretchy jersey fabric, and on the wing and under the cup the material is reinforced with an additional layer of mesh - stretchy mesh on the wing, non-stretch under the cup. The cups are made also of two layers of non-stretch fabric, the lace on the front and mesh on the inside. The wing has side boning. The materials look good quality. Regarding the sewing, on the inside of the cup there are lots of visible edges of fabric at the seams. They look ...like they might fray at the first washing and they give the bra a very sloppy look, despite the fact that from the front the sewing looks very neat. I'm wondering if this is just a faulty item, as I would expect better quality from Triumph. This style is a lacy version of the classic and ever popular Doreen style. The size is not in my size range, so I cannot judge the fit. Read more 74 more words
This bra has moulded soft cups. The band is made of two layers of fabric and they feel very soft. The materials and construction are high quality, and the cotton fabric is extremely soft. I can't judge on the fit, but I would recommend this bra to someone who fits in the size range.
At first glance the band looks short, and indeed measures smaller than I would normally wear. But it stretched quite a bit and was actually comfortable. The band is only one layer of stretch mesh however, so I'm not sure if it might stretch out too quickly. The fabrics on the cups and straps are very soft and comfortable, but unfortunately the cups run a full size smaller than expected and I quadded significantly. The gore also didn't have enough depth for center fullness, but I am very close set, so on someone with a normal 2 finger spacing it should be fine.
The colorway "Blue Storm" is a rich Royal Blue. Very pretty!
Not much information out there for this one yet. Still, I think I'll try the next cup up if I can get it for a good price.
Well made bra providing firm support, although I do wish they would extend the cup range beyond K. No underwires so comfortable under my bust. One inch wide straps stay in place though after years of carrying my heavy bust around they have left a 1" wide dent in my shoulders. Deep side is good but wish they would expand to four or five hooks at the back in the larger cup sizes.
This bra is very comfortable. It's stretchy, so it can fit both my (larger) right breast and my (smaller) left breast, the right cup stretches just enough to avoid quad boob on the right. The cup shape is quite pointy, I like that look. Two caveats: 1. the cups have a lot of coverage, the cup starts quite high on the straps if that makes sense, so it can't be worn with low-cut tops or with off-shoulder tops. 2. these bras wear out fairly fast, they only last about a year for me. The elastic looses its elasticity quite fast. Still it's the most comfortable and flattering bra I own, I have about six of them in rotation right now.
This has so far (pre-ABTF) been probably the most comfortable bra I've had. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Though obviously the size is not my ABTF/Bratabase one.
