Ok, so both her Elomi's arrived in 36F and she sent me pictures, which I won't post out of respect for her privacy. She filled out the Etta cups better, but the gore didn't quite tack. The Caitlyn tacked fabulously, but the cups were quite wrinkled on top - now my mom is very pendulous and FOB, but ... they were wrinkled enough to make me think they were too big. Also, she said she could close both bands on the tightest hook straight away. Said she loved the separation and feeling of support, but they weren't perfect enough to keep.
So she's returning both of them, and trying the Caitlyn in a 34F. I told her if that's too small, to try it in a 34FF since that's the sister to her 36F but again, we both thought that was a bit big. Here's my main concern - in the pictures she sent, I couldn't tell if her wires were all the way in her IMF. If they weren't, they looked close, and I reminded her twice to make sure they were, and she said she wiggled the Etta's up a bit farther. I noticed this when we went shopping in Chicago - it's damn near impossible for her to get any wire into her IMF. I donno how to explain it, but she is soooooooooo pendulous with sooooooo much fullness hanging straight down and nothing on top, like I don't know what to tell her. She can only bend over so far (hip problems) and I doubt she's ever had a bra, at least in the last decade, that sat in her IMF. What do we do next, if Elomi Caitlyn ends up not working out? I've been her fountain of knowledge thus far, but I'm really out of ideas at this point. Any other recommendations for bras that work with extreme projection?

For me, the gore doesn't 100% tack on Etta because it's rather wide, and I've got close-set breasts.
Sounds like she's short-rooted and a lot of bras just have really tall sides. I have a hard time getting bras completely in my IMF because I have very short breasts and doing so means wires in my armpits. It's one of those things where I'm willing to sacrifice a small amount of support in favor of not having my underarms scratched bloody by the damn wires and sides.
Also, as Caitlyn is a very full coverage bra, there'll likely be some loose fabric at the top no matter what. I have that in almost all of my bras.
Hmmm. I don't know if Jasmine will work - it's similar to Envy, but with the higher apex it wants upper fullness and since your mom is lacking in that, it probably won't quite cooperate with her breasts. Elomi Rita, perhaps (I can't remember if she tried that)? Maybe some Fantasie bras? Cleo Lucy, if she doesn't mind the sheerness of it?
Yeah she just needs something deeper. Sounds like she has wide or at least average width, projected boobs with short (as opposed to tall) roots, which is very common in bustier women from middle age onwards or after babies (I am getting there myself though not very wide roots). I'd suggest calculating the best cup width, measuring her single boob perimeter and doing a search by measurements!

I have a problem with Cleo Juna animal bra.
First I bought it in 28FF, but the cups were too small. There was very definite quadboob. I tried to get 28G, but only 30FF was available, so I got it. In 30FF the cups are gaping in the center. I don´t know why it happens and what I should do ... :-/
With regular Juna (red) I had no problems. 30F fit me very well after I altered it to 28FF.
I´m thinking that maybe in 30FF the straps are too far apart for me? They are almost in my armpits and maybe that´s why the cups are gaping towards the center? If this is the case, maybe 28G really would fit better, if the cups are scaled to a smaller-chested person. What do you guys think?

Sometimes you just have to give up on a specific bra, too. but if you want fitting help, it works better to put up a fitting request, with numbers and pictures.
I agree that a fitting request would be helpful. I think I just might be in between sizes with this bra. Meh :-/
Yippee!!! Yesterday I successfully helped a friend break free from bra matrix + letter phobia
She thought she "was an A cup". I have previously linked her to a good bra size calculator, but she said it didn´t give her any size, then she thought her bust is too small --> reinforcement towards A cup.
I ... gave her one of my bikinis to try on, size 32C. And it fit like, perfectly!!! She was astonished about the "C cup?!?!". Turned out she didn´t even know about sister sizes at all!!! I also showed her my "enormous, porn star G cups (EU G60, UK 28F), and I think her mind was blown TOTALLY
Me so happy

LMBO "Porn star G cups" :D
The two Jockey Fit bras I tried arrived a couple days ago and I finally got around to measuring and taking pictures. Alas, they still don't really work. I'm a little tempted to keep the 7/34 - Jockey » Tailored Contour Bra (6702) just because although it doesn't really fit, it's not very noticeable unless ... you're staring... but I imagine the ill-fitting will become more of a problem as I wear it in since I'm experience OIG with this style. It's much more apparent in the 7/34 - Jockey » Double Lined Contour Bra (6703) since it was unpadded and obviously buckles underneath my breast. But I'm pretty sure the 6702 is doing the same thing, it's just padded.
The fit kit itself was interesting, much easier to tell exactly where I'd fit in the system if I fit the shape than other brands, just cup size and band size-- they give you their own measuring tape, even with the bands clearly listed on them so there's no guessing there either. It was clearly the right size I picked, just not a good shape for me. So back they will go. Or at least the white one will, I am still mulling a bit about the black one.

So, the wires in my 30J - Freya » Arabella Balcony (5731) are the comfiest wires in the history of my boobs, but the band is far too short and the cups are spilly up top. I wonder if I couldn't just take the wires and make a whole new bra around them?
Filed under Bras ups and downs
Consider that the fit of a wire is dependent on the fit of the band. There is no guarantee that the wires themselves in a different construction will feel the same.
Hi guys. However dedicated I am to the bra community, I have to say that now I have to be devoted to money earning only. My Father is still unemployed, I support a family of six now by myself. I always have you, my dear Bratabase friends, in my heart and mind. I will return one day - but for now it is not possible.
Much love

I was wondering how it was going with you and your family. What kind of work did you find? I hope you get to wear pretty bras every day, at least - be proud of what you are doing!
You go, Girl!!! I pray for you every day.
So, I got my first Comexim from another user here while I wait on my official order (which is in the states already after shipping on the 8th). It's a 65F Emanuelle and it's awesome! Seriously, I absolutely love it. Those wires are so narrow!
It fits perfect on my right side, however, it's too small for my left (larger side) ...
I quad out a bit and it makes me hyper aware. I'm always afraid I'm going to fall out of the center when it happens. I haven't yet, and I've worn it for the day twice, but it still makes me nervous.
My actual order was made up of 65Fs as well, and they will probably also be too small. I guess I have to decide if I can deal with the quadding or if I should just place a new order.
I bought another Comexim here that I haven't received yet. It's a 60H Basic, so that should give me an idea of how a 65G should fit, right? Or does the Basic run small?
If I can nail my fit down with Comexim, they will be my lined bra nirvana.

I've heard basic runs small
I have made a discovery that may help some of you for whom space at the bottom of cups or wires moving below your inframammary fold is the bane of your existence. Prepare to be amazed. I have slight pectus excavatum (sternum that protrudes). This little bony point near the top of my sternum affects bra fit outside of ... just the gore. My sternum points out at the top and makes a hollow right in between my breasts. That means that if the gore runs high enough, my bra wires can be forced down below my IMF by the point and slope shape of my sternum literally pushing the gore down a hill. Really high gores are good (like my Cleo Lily) because they sit above the point in my sternum and don't dig into it. Really low gores like on my Freya Deco and CK Gia are good, too, because they just sit in the hollow and don't hit the point. However, gores with middling heights always ride low!

Hi all you bra gurus!
I have a question: I dearly love unpadded, transparent, lacy half cup style bras and have struggled to find them in my size, until I recently discovered the Ewa Michalak Hm bras, which look fantastic!
However, I am concerned with the narrowness of the wires on those EM bras. I compared the various measurements of my own ... favorite half cup bra with some of the EM HM bras out here, and I find the EM bra that is most similar in almost every measurement has one big difference: the cup width is a good 3,5 cm smaller.
I keep reading that EM has narrow wires, and I have fairly wide set, wide rooted, and shallow-ish breasts (which is probably why most half cups styles from brands like Freya seem to work well on me).
My question to you is: do you think a EM HM bra could work on me? Or should I stay away from them and stick to other brands?

If you're sure the Ewa Michalak bras are 3.5 cm narrower than the bras that fit you well now, you might want to wait until tissue migration happens. If you started wearing your first well fitting bra around the time of its review, June 4th of this year, your boobs are quite possibly going to change shape and/or size over the next one to two years. Then those beautiful EM bras will stop fitting before too long, and you'll be sad. In other words, do as I say, and not as I do, lol.
Not everybody experiences tissue migration, but plenty of people do.
I'd say be ready to buy new bras to accommodate shape or size changes in two to three months. Maybe reexamine your boob width then, in case you need narrower wires and can see EM working for you.
If the meantime, I suggest Parfait by Affinitas Casey or Jeanie for more traditional cleavage. Jeanie is available in 32G in European Nude on Amazon now for $35.90 and free shipping.
There are other Polish brands that offer average or wider wires, it's not Ewa or nothing! There are also a few French brands that have this style of bra in a 32G but you probably need to try before you buy.

So I've discovered the glory of EM and Comexim and I can't look back. I still wear my Jasmine from time to time and I have a WAY too wide Freya Marvel just because it's SO comfy.however, However, I've noticed that after a while it seems that the wires at the base of the bra start to press into my ... ribs and it gets rather uncomfortable. It seems like it's almost ANY bra I wear. I've checked all the bands by fastening them backwards to make sure they're not too tight and the cups fill really well so I'm at a loss of what's happening. Short of bending the wires to fir my torso, what else would be causing this or am I alone in this? lol

Well, i always make a point of bending wires to fit my body - i mean, why not? The only other thing I was thinking of was buying a pad they sell to cushion them. But oddly, my ribs have been hurting less recently.
It happens to me after wearing any underwire for awhile too. Though i notice it far far less with Comexim than with anything else. Ive always figured it was related to my ribcage being weird lol. So you arent alone but i am of 0 help it seems ;)

Oooh and it's a bandless design, I think that's new for ck too.
Mom ordered Elomi Etta and Caitlyn from Amazon today. Bravangelism, FTW. After our unsuccessful Chicago shopping adventure that ended in frustration I was sure she'd give up, but nope today she told me she ordered both! I'm taking over the worrrrld, ladies, one set of boobs at a time.

Just so you know, the church of bravangelism doesn't give out any Cadillacs or other cars, not even to their top bravangelists! :P But yay!
That's great! My mom was very accepting and supportive once she saw our sizing was off. At first she was a bit shocked at the whole bigger than DD thing, but now she has even taken my younger sister to be fitted ☺. She cannot stand tight bands though, so she may not have the "ideal" bra.

Anyone with a Comexim Basic 65H that is reduced cup can you measure the cup height or if anyone knows the height difference between regular cup and reduced cup that would work as well. I want Comexim to work so dang bad!!!!!
Filed under Bras ups and downs
is the 65H too big for you?
what kind of bra is the basic? is it a half cup? or a plunge?
The regular cups on Comexim are to tall for me. Its a Plunge but most Comexims you can get in Plunge or Half Cup you just have to request it.
Seriously. When is someone going to make a longline in the 36J (UK) size range? SO tired of seeing all of these gorgeous longlines up to a G cup and wanting one.

I vaguely seem to remember seeing something that was in my size (32J) but i couldn't imagine wearing one - even a regular bra, the wires are folding in to my belly. Sorry I cant remember what it was.
There's this one: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/curvy-kate/carmen-padded-balcony-bra-sg2201/ but I know Curvy Kate doesn't work very well for a lot of (most?) people.
I want to say Comexim would also make a longline in that size, but I don't know for sure.

Anyone know if Comexim will make custom underwear? Say make a pair of briefs into a thong?

I found this a while ago, but for some reason I didn't think to reach out to her. I have the same thing and while I still hate them, Bratabase and ABTF have made me feel a million times better because now I only have to worry about my boobs when I'm naked, and I'm a never-nude anyway.
Also, I know that most if not all of us here have problems finding proper bras.
The women with "normal boobs" or average, just don't know their bras don't fit either xD

I think that being in a correctly sized bra is simply a more pressing issue when you have bigger boobs and know your bra doesn't fit. More weight needing to be supported, that's not being supported adequately causes pain for many...amongst other things.
Average or smaller busted women tend to hear more positive types of messages about their bodies, how they fit within the guidelines for what's attractive/ideal (particularly from the perspective of modesty and what is respectable to go out in public with) - that doesn't mean they don't have a hard time finding a bra that fits them correctly, though being in the matrix sizes they're theoretically supposed have it easy.
@valentine556 I definitely agree!

I just read that to order from Comexim outside of Poland, you should/must send an email.
Is that true? I placed my order fine on their site and received an email right after.
Should everything be ok? O_o

Yes, everything should be fine. Email for international orders used to be the standard, but they've recently updated their website to allow for international orders. :)
Everything will be fine. I placed an order on their site on 5/23 and it shipped on 6/8. I got an order confirmation, payment confirmation, shipping confirmation, and a tracking number.

Added! http://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/idol-moulded-balcony-bra-1050/
I'm curious, is this a new cut? It does not say anything about being from the Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) family, and all Freya's molded bras are those (and sports bra) IIRC (Regular Deco, half cup, soft cup, strapless)
Yep it's not a Deco - supposed to have a higher gore so that it stops people with soft tissue falling out of the middle like they do with Deco, and also it's supposed to stop the gaping some people get on the top of the cups apparently, was reading about it yesterday. It's nicely coincided with me needing some more t-shirt bras for work so I'm pretty interested...ooh also it's supposed to have wider wides than Deco I believe! *cheers*
