I thought I might have wide roots because I can follow my bottom of my breast tissue pretty far under my arms. Recently I noticed that it I look at my breasts when I am bent at 90 degrees I think the root doesn't actually go that far on my sides, that it may be migrated breast tissue and I can scoop it to the front a bit. now I don't know what to think...any insight? How can I tell if my roots are wide or average?

Thought of the day: there are few things more rewarding than being a Bra-vangelist. I imagine it's somewhere on the level of being a firefighter, or life-saving neurosurgeon. Having just launched another woman's bra-voyage, I can only think "Bless you girl, welcome to your new life."

LOL I cant wait to get back out in to the world and meet more women! (i've been a home-schooling mom for several years, and I'm pretty introverted and dont get out much, plus had some major crises, but I hope to go back to work in the fall . . ). Like a neurosurgeon!

Oh Empreinte, such comfy bras. I am so sad you do not fit me. ;_; I need at least a cup size up for my center fullness to have a hope of tacking. Alas, it is not to be.
I tried the Capucine and the Daisy in 36G. Ah well.

Ok, so I'm not up for buying any more bras right now because I just got 2 new EMs, right? But i"m DYING to hear more about the new Panache Olivia. So far one person here purchased and reviewed - but no pics of her wearing it, and she hadnt worn a Floris.
So one of you nice ladies (preferably G cup plus) needs to buy an Olivia, put up pictures of big boobs in Olivia, and compare it to Floris for me.

I was about to volunteer, but amazon doesn't have it with prime. it's a herroom.com fulfilled order, and it doesn't come up as free returns. If it pops up as an amazon fulfilled order soon I can. :)
also, the ivory floris is now available from amazon with prime in 32J (1 left!), but it's $62 right now
edit: I don't have a floris, so I'd order both to compare and return, unless they're awesome :-P

i've started to cringe every time I see or hear Victorias Secret. Looks like the secret is you can make a lot of money selling women bras that dont fit and convincing them that this is as good as it gets
This post will not show everything I typed, and IDKY. The worst part IS that they sized her into 38DDD. Yeah because that is the highest cup size they have and they just increased the band til they got a cup big enough to cover her breasts. She weighs 120 lbs soaking wet so I just doubt that she is a 38... but I could be wrong I guess.

Ok.. so I have 2 properly fitting bras, ewa michalaks slowianki PL in 55FF and Panache underwire Sports bra in 28E and my next purchase was going to be a braologie bra.. but then I realized they don't seem to be around anymore. That was a huge disapointment. And I also ordered a comexim bra previously that was just wrong ... all over so now I feel sort of put off buying more from them.. I know thats probably dumb its just that since I have to have them make a custom size it's both pricey and risky. I need something with a low gore, medium projection, narrowish wires that will truly push the girls front and center since I am both wide set and a little splayed. I am looking for a round shape under clothes. I turn to you ladies cuz bratabase ony has low confidence suggestions. If you are going to recomend a 28 band it has to be truely firm and tight to work. My uk size is 26FF

Is the Comexim you're referring to just the longline? Because I really wouldn't use that bra as a base comparison for how they'll all fit. It's a new model, and the cups are based off of their half-cup, which seems to be a very tricky fit. Their plunges fit much better as a whole.
As for recommendations, I would say Cleo is a good bet, specifically Marcie or any of the variations of Lily.
That longline was just weird compared to any other Comexim I've owned. The band was just odd. I'm not even sure it would be supportive in the right size...
Cleos run tight, so the 28s should be a good bet for you. Lily has a high gore, but it's great for projection. I'd suggest Lucy if you need a slightly wider gore.

Ok, I received this bra from Scharminkeltje last week, and decided, if I was going to get much use out of it, I would have to do a little alteration on it (fur removal).
So I removed the fur, left the bow and bell on the gore for now (may remove the bell if the sound gets ... on my nerves), and took additional photos for your viewing pleasure. I must say, it is a very nice looking plain-cup reddish fuschia bra now!!
Oh yeah, I will by happy to ship the fur to anyone who wants it.

I have no idea what I'd use it for, but for some reason I feel like I must have that fur stuff. Perhaps I can use it to upgrade one of my dog's sweaters for a snazzy look that *she* may not appreciate but *I* will. I did put her in a reindeer outfit complete with antlers and little hoof-booties for Christmas 2014, so I have no shame when it comes to dolling up my poor dog.
But...her one and only trick is sort-of boob related. When I say "Show me your boobies" she flops onto her back.
AWESOME!!! It's actually some type of down feathers and stranded glitter material twisted into small-gauge wire. I was thinking it would look PERFECT trimming the top of one of your corsets! ;^)

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. But I seem have this problem with brands with very strong wires (Ewa Michalak, Panache, etc), and it's generally not a problem with other brands. Sometimes it lightens with wash/wear, but not always.
Its not that the boobs are weighing them down exactly but the wires are the base holding up the weight of your boobs, and your poor ribcage gets beat down.
Also, tho, if the cups are too shallow the bra slips lower and hurts more. Or if the band is too loose.

My family went to Ft Wayne this weekend and I convinced my parents to go to Barbara's New Beginning's. They were having a special event w/ a local radio station, so a lot of the floor stock was covered or blocked. It was mostly swimwear anyways. I also had a hard time telling who was a store employee. They were ... giving away designer purses, so it was a circus in there. On the bright side, they did have free food.
I grabbed a swimsuit I liked in a couple sizes (Panache Swimwear Britt Halter Swimsuit (SW0820) 34 &36 G) and headed to the fitting rooms. There, an employee approched me and gave me a room. The fitting rooms have curtains rather than doors, which might bother some people. She introduced herself, and left me to it.
I started w/ the 34G and found out that it's very hard to pull a one piece over a my rear without stabbing my pelvic region or stomach with the wires. It was also very hard to get it hooked. It wasn't too small once I got it situated, but I would have never known that if I hadn't stubbornly persisted. The cups were too small, but I was happy at how closed on top they were. It wasn't tight across the butt as I had feared, but it was across the stomach. So it would be OK for a pear shaped figure, but apple types and those with bloating issues like me might stay away. The 36G might been OK, but I didn't try it on for sake of time. I couldn't afford it anyway.
I handed the suits to the fitter and asked if I could have some bras to try on. She came back with a scrap of paper and took down my name and current size. She also asked what type of bras I was interested in. She then measured my underbust. I was still undressed from trying on the suits, so unfortunately I can't tell you what their policy on measuring clothed is. She wrote down 34½ on the paper and left to get bras. I know that wasn't my measurement, so Idk what that was. She brought back 3 bras in 36FF, a 36FF - Freya » Rapture Side Support Plunge Bra (1671) ,Freya Ignite, and another bra. The Rapture was very neon orange, it was riding up on the tightest hook and was too small in the cup.
She then took all three bras and came back with a 36FF - Masquerade » Orla Non Padded Balconnet Bra (7031) and two 34FF Fanstasie models that I can't identify. The Masquerade was fine in the band (They do run a full band size small like people say) and the cup was borderline. It wasn't cutting in, but I had a lot of mounding. She saw my indecision and started the "it's supposed to fit like that" sales pitch. Since I was suported, there was no cutting in, I looked amazing in it, it was on sale, and it was PURPLE! I went for it.
Both of the 34FF Fantasie bras were too loose in band and too small in cup. She came back with a Panache Clara Balconnet (7255) in (I think) 34G, a Wacoal I can't identify in 34G (Ignorance of size translations?) and a Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) in 32GG. The Clara was tighter in the band than the Fantasies but the cups didn't fit. Strangely, I got FOT fit issues (empty @ bottom, quad @ top), the Wacoal was obviously too small in the cup, and the Jasmine was too tight in the band, but not by much. I told her how much I liked it, and she brought me a 34GG. Idk if she is ignorant of sistersizing or thought it was tight in the cup too, but the GG wasn't too big. She pointed out that since I found many several 34s too loose, and the 32 was too small, I'm might have to settle for using extenders. I was suprised she knew of that practice. I did like the fit of 34GG. (which was my size estimate. Woot!) In the future, I'd like something w/ a little more immediate projection, so if anybody knows what that would be, lemme know.
After that, I got dressed, and got my dad to agree to split the bill since it was out of both of our budgets. I got the Masquerade and the Jasmine.
They took an unusual amount of personal info at the register. Idk why they needed my address, but she mentioned that they ship bras to customers for an $8 fee. I'm not sure how that would work if a customer didn't already know what they wanted, they have no inventory on their site. Hopefully I don't get a bunch of junk mail. I got the impression that they use an account system to keep track of customers and purchases (like online retailers do).
I'm pretty excited about my new bras, and I'm sure I would have gotten better service had the store not been so busy. I'd give the fitter a B-. Unlike some fitters, she let me put the bras on myself, respected personal space and trusted my assessment of how the bras fit me. She also brought me mostly discounted models, respecting that I was on a budget.

Pretty much, most of these bras just need to get out of my house and stop cluttering up my drawers with their unwearable beautiful selves, so prices are negotiable.

Hi there, I'm looking for a nice strapless nude bra, do you have any suggestions?
I was fitted as a 28FF/30F, depending on the models, and I was told to size down for the @Panache Porcelain Strapless, so I tried a 30E, but it didn't feel quite right. Any other brands/models I should try? I tried Evie too and it was ... too deep for me.

My Chantelle Chic and Natori Feathers Contour Plunge finally came!

Only problem is that the Chantelle band isn't snug, which strikes me as odd. I bought these new, but from another seller (not on here). Otherwise seems completely new. Maybe it's just an odd one in the bunch. In any case, it's gorgeous and the cup ... depth is exactly what I needed. The 30DDD gave me quadboob. The band is pretty snug on at least the 2nd row of hooks, which I can deal with. Only problem is those wide wires o__o If I could have the wires from the 30DDD and the depth of the 30DDDD this would be perfect.
In any case, I'm not too picky about wires as long as they aren't so high that they poke. These don't do that, they just run off to the sides, but only about an inch.
As for the Natori, I had the opposite problem with the band! I've tried on countless Natori bras in this model, and the bands always fit me well. I haven't gained any weight, and the band has absolutely no stretch. It measures about 28.5 tops. Kind of makes the cups look odd :/ I'll make it work, but it's not what I had expected. It's funny because the Chantelles I tried on in 30DDD and 30DD had bands exactly like the Natori, but with friendlier fabric so it felt good, but a tight Natori in this model has scratchier fabric and it's a tad uncomfortable.
All in all though, I'm happy that I'm getting somewhere on finding the right bra
I'll wear them each a few times and see if I should keep them, but for now I'd say they're better than everything else I own besides my Freya.

If I wear a 38G in the panache sport in gray, will I wear the same size in other colors? I read that they can run as much as 2 cup sizes big, but 38G is my usual size.

I have a grey one in 28GG and a blue/orange in 30G, so it should be the same cup volume, and they fit the same. Can't speak for the other colourways though. Black generally tends to run a little smaller.

I ordered a Parfait By Affinitas Bess Balconet Bra (1812) off of ebay on a drunken whim recently and it showed up today! I got a 30DD and overall I'm happy I did. I almost think I could go up to a 30E due to it being short and closed on top which doesn't agree with my tall roots. Initial thoughts are that it's super comfortable and I don't really mind the minor quadboob it gives me. I'll make a proper review once I actually wear it.

I think what matters most is how you fit in a bra. If wide wires are more comfortable than narrow wires, you have a wide root. If the cups are always too close together for you, that might indicate it, too.
Thanks for replying! What is the best way to tell what bras have wide/narrow wires, is there certain measurements I can look at on here?
