Either this bra runs 1 cup size too big OR 95D - Ava » Manche Soft (1130) is designed for and would be true-to-size for AVERAGE to SLIGHTLY TALLER than average breast ROOTS. Breast root fit is roughly indicated by cup height and would be a particularly important consideration for people with firm breast tissue.
As someone with shorter than avg roots and soft tissue, I could size down 1 cup size from my true 40:6/42:5 = US 42DD = EU 95E to EU 95D and the bra fit. Sizing down predictably minimized the gaping at the armpit-adjacent top of the cup AND forward projection. I consider ...this a shape trade-off, which my soft tissue allows. The gore tacks. Soft, seamed 4-part cup lies flat, conceals my minor asymmetry, gives an uplifted rounded side profile, front view separated and natural. The side support panel does not give the center forward cleavage like the Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) or Sculptresse Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695). I am able to wear the aforementioned models as everyday work bras despite their serious shaping and firm wires. Manche feels less heavy-duty in comparison. Unlike another reviewer, at my avg height of 5'6'' I do not have issues with this bra's wings. I don't particularly notice this bra while wearing and can comfortably lounge in it. You want round, forward, lifted, almost-fake-looking boobs? Then this is the perfect bra!! I absolutely love this bra for the days when I want to look exceptionally pushed-up, haha. The band is definitely too large, so I'll have to alter it. I have to re-swoop-and-scoop every few seconds it feels like, but DAMN are my breasts up in my face in this bra!! Looks fabulous under t-shirts. No sad boobs here. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> My usual shape is upside down 7, super east-west, and pointy, so this bra is a miracle to me.
Lower cups have thick foam, and upper cup is stretch fabric, ...so absolutely no problems with my FOT shape. The underwires are very U shaped, so some empty space in the bottom of the cup near the outer bottom edge, but they're super duper close in the middle. (Wish the wires were shorter; I'd probably actually get some cleavage!!) Only two hooks in the back so not a lot of adjustment. Wings are one layer of weak, stretchy mesh. Straps aren't too wide though, and are close together in back, so no problem slipping of my shoulders.
Cute dangly sparkly detail at gore with a pink bow, directly below a peephole gore. The lilac, light pink, and lavender color scheme is super flattering on my skin. (Looks grey in photos; closer to stock photo image color.) Really frilly, feminine, fun bra!
Cups are large, just like 65F in other brands I wear. The color described as "champagne" is soooo beautiful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It is a bright beige, ideal for women with pale skin. Bra is well made and very comfortable.
Paper tag says 34F UK; sewn in label only says 75G. I bought this bra from Other Eden for science, to identify my Ava size. This is not it, too big everywhere, so I cannot review fit very well. Since other 34F's (as well as EM 75F; Comexim 75HH) do OK on me, I would say that Ava has generous sizing . This is a half-padded or semi-soft bra. I like the idea of that for modesty + summer comfort, and have a few others (Gorteks, Gaia, Nipplex) that are OK fit, so I wanted to try Ava since the price is right! Overall construction, materials and ...aesthetics are very nice and good value. This bra, like the 1410 unpadded version, is on the pale apricot side of beige, with orange flowered lace. Band and straps have a lot of stretch. Side boning under the arms controls side flab, I guess. The lace and the dangle are sweet and feminine. The padded lower part is in 2 pieces, with the seam toward the inner part not in the middle. The padding itself is lightweight and fairly thin, there is not a ton of shaping support (as in an EM S or BM style) but it does feel as though my breasts are well enclosed. It is lined with comfortable cotton. The top lace panel is not stretchy, although there is an elastic sewn in along the top. Seems like there is a good amount of give there, it does not cut in but lays flat. The lace panel dives at a sharp angle to the gore. The wires are very narrow and the gore is not very wide at top or bottom. There appears to be a good amount of room for center fullness at the gore, it is also quite deep both at the wire and the apex. Since it is way too big on me (the diff between a 70H & 75G is striking, see measurements for Ava 1159), I can't tell precisely, but it seems that this model would work well for even or FOT because there is a lot of room here. The cup is pretty tall, as are the wings and the gore. Shape on me is separated, centered and high, but a little upside-down 7. I think this is due to the semi-padded cut, since I am functionally FOB I probably should give this quest up! Read more 295 more words
Second of the bras I recently purchased from OtherEden's site. Well-made, quality bra. Doesn't fit the way I like OR the way I "need." I need a bigger cup size and a tighter band. I'd LIKE to have a rounder shape like some of Ava's discontinued bras. This one is a retro look, imo, and more of a balconette than a "full" cup =( .... I need a full coverage cup. I don't care how round my boobs look will a full-coverage bra, I need support dadgumit! I don't want my girls fallin' out when I chase babies and toddlers around the house.
A lightly padded plunge/balconette, very soft materials, cotton inside lining, lacey band. I'd say a bit smaller than usual Ava sizing, but TTS generally - fitting like a UK 30DD. Not a fan of stretchy lace bands. Gives a fantastic round and lifted shape, but the cup volume is just too small for me. Ava brings the expected excellent Polish quality.
I really wanted this bra to work but they did not have my usual size available. So first I bought 65H - Ava » Classic Lace Soft (1401)(30:8) one size bigger then I wear. It was very huge on me. Next I bought this one my sister size and it still is too big. The cups are too deep and too wide. I still want to try in 30E but I worry it will be too wide. The bra is very pretty and good nude option.
I've lost some weight, so it fits now! I'm happy I didn't send it back. I bought it in May, but it had too small cups then. Now, my breasts "flattened" (I lost tissue mostly on the top, the sides remained pretty similar), and many bras fit me better...
I like the idea of straps - still looking for fitting me not feminine looking bras. So I was a little disappointed by the fact, that the straps aren't plain and have little flowers...
This is not my shape of the U, but I didn't found this one the best for me as yet https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
I will write something more about the bra after a few days of wearing it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
This is the most immediately projected bra I have ever come across! I don't think it is a sizing error, but in my standard size I have enough immediate projection to almost be be droopy! no squishing at all! That never happens. The depth measurement is pretty standard for the size and the wires are not that narrow, but it ...looks like it might be two cup sizes too big in the top of the cup as my entire breast sits below the appex where it wants to. I have ordered one size smaller knowing that this size in most Ava models it just right. We will have to see!
Plus: extender necessary, straps a touch wide, but not so much as Gorsenia. Fairly narrow wires, scalloped fully adjustable straps. Sheer double layer mesh cups.
PS it is called sunflower, but it really ought to be more buttercup or yellow poppies going by the embroidery. Read more 103 more words
EDIT September 2016 My weight gain forced me to find a solution to keep this bra wearable. The cup edge started to cut in considerably but the cup volume still seemed sufficient. I decided to cut the elastics off the cup edge without being sure if it would fit afterwards. It has proved to be a miracle solution and completely changed the fit and the shape. The cups became extremely open, I would say it now fits like a huge UK 65F. The cup edge became smooth, I still have a great support in this bra and my breast are even more centred.
I was always curious about this brand. ...I’ve already tried on their semi-soft construction which works pretty well on bigger busts, but the shape seemed just not right for me. I read two enthusiastic reviews of the new soft construction with the side panel on stanikomania and decided give it a try. I bought this one during my last visit in Poland in a small local shop. Based on the reviews, I decided to size down the cup (I mostly wear 65f now) and keep my usual band size. This size turned out to be a hit (65e is where this cut actually starts). If I had to choose the size according to their chart, I would actually go for a 65G (which is meant to be the Polish equivalent of 30F). So if I should size down, I would go for a 65F! I agree with Kasica from stanikomania on that point – some Polish brand seem to use a new size chart but they unfortunately don't update the one on their site! I’ll start with the cup construction because it’s very successful. I’ve tried a lot of Polish bras in my teens and the cups were weirdly shaped. I think that this bra proves how Polish brands have progressed ever since. The cups are made of 4 parts, with two vertical and one diagonal seams. The lower parts and the side panel are made of a shiny, unstretchy and a little stiff material. The upper part is made of two layers of lace and is edged with elastic. This size is the best fit for me and for my shape. My minor issue is the elastic on the cup edge – it actually cuts in and I’m considering to cut it of eventually but I’ll have to find a way to keep the 2 layers together. The gore is higher than I’m used to and it sometimes doesn’t tack, the right underwire pokes in my breast. Unfortunately, the underwires don’t overlap. But overall, the gore is rather comfortable especially when you consider it's height. There are also vertical underwires in the wings. They’re not necessary in my size IMHO but they don’t bother me. The quality of the bra is very good and the materials used for the band and the straps are consistent with the size, but I’m now used to wear EM 65F and she uses wider straps and elastics in the band. The band in AVA is still stable and I can bear the thin straps. The only problem I have with the thinner elastics in the band is that they fold toward my skin. I also noticed that the band between the gore comes lower than in all my other bras and it rubs my skin a little bit. Read more 454 more words
The shape of the wires and gore don't fit me, there is an empty place below the boobs and too little place above. But it lifts my girls like a strongman lifts weights in the gym.
Edit: something changed and this bra started to fit... Nice! (pics are old)
It hurt's after a time. Pain in my breast. The wires tries to kiss my back. And it seems that it should be like this, cause nothing is folding nor stretching. And if I just put it without fastening - it looks this same. My breast fits the cups, but after some time it hurts. I tried to fold the wires, and not to wear it for too long.
This one has a factory defect. The wires didn't lay properly, but at a slant. One was always flying in the air a little, while the other was flat at my chest. So After a year one wire pierced the fabric, but the other one is perfectly ok... So I still use it, it is easier to fit it to my asymmetry with only one wire.
One that I wear most often, that comfy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Ava has problem with straps. Their bras are basically solidly made, but after time the straps start to corrugate.
My currently best fitting bra. Fits like UK 30E, gives a nice round shape, lightly padded/molded cups, narrow with good projection. Excellent for centre full shapes.
Mocca is a semi padded bra in Mocca colour with baby pink lace and details. The band is tts in 75. Bra is made of satin material and is very soft - both outisde and inside. Straps are fully adjustable. Again the same situation as with 70E - Ava » 1331 Semi Soft (BH-1331) , is one cup too big and in a band.
I've been waiting for it couple of days as it was coming from Germany. I was recommended to try 70F size but actually 70E is too big on me. It's such a shame as I really love the colours of the bra - combination of beautiful aquamarine with soft pink details. It's very nice, soft and looks well when on. The upper lace doesn't stretch. Unfortunately the band is really big like in 75 and is made from only one layer of mesh. Straps are fully adjustable. Definitely I'm going to get in smaller size!
