This has potential of showing great amount of cleavage and suits well on many, but on me it has too separated cups, which gives quads and leads straps, that are too far apart, to feel uncomfortable against armpits. Cups are nice, soft and wide, but central gore seems to be quite low. Nice candy colors.
Like all Cleo bras, made of sadly uncomfortable materials. That said, the bra is really really cute. It seems to be of pretty good quality, and has held up perfectly for the 2 months I've had it except for some snagging on the embroidery. The cup is a little too closed on the top for me, giving me the faintest cone/pointy shape, and I should have gone up a size for my larger breast (but then the other side would have gaped. Sigh.) Support is good, but underwires don't come as high on the sides as I'd like.
Definitely more closed than the Marcie but I think should still work okay for those who are moderately full on top. Recommended if Cleo works for you because it is so cute.
I wanted to love this bra so badly! The print is adorable and the color scheme is awesome. Like many others have said, the fabric feels very stiff. I feel like the horizontal-ish seam is a little higher than it is on my Zia, which fits like a dream (even if I have to wear it on the smallest set of hooks). This makes it look a little weird. The top section lays flat, but the seam gets a little wrinkly and there's a bit of space there. From the side, it kind of makes it look like my boobs are pointing upward. I'm hoping it'll soften up ...and not look so strange after I wash it once or twice.
The band also feels tighter than my Lucy. It's not unpleasantly tight, but I think I'm fairly compressible (under my boobs I measure anywhere from 27.5"-29.5" depending on how tight I pull the tape). Perhaps a less squishy person would want to size up, especially if you're prone to being hurt by pressure from your underwires and stuff.
Bought it off Ebay, and I can't return it, so I'll either decide it's acceptable or I'll have to pass it on to someone else. I'm crossing my fingers for the former, 'cause it's just so cute. I'll probably be avoiding this style in the future though, because I get a rounder profile from both my Lucy and my Zia.
A little confused, though - I've seen people say it would be better for both full on top or full on bottom breasts. Using BrasIHate's leaning over test, I decided that my bigger boob was full on top, (but my little one is full on bottom? Is that normal? People always talk about their boobs being different sizes, but different shapes?) but if this bra is for full on top boobs, then maybe I'm mistaken.
Edit: I've worn it 3 times and washed it once. If it doesn't soften up on the next washing I'm going to have to put her up for sale, 'cause my boobs look wicked strange under t-shirts, and that's pretty much all I ever wear. Read more 251 more words
Very tight bra, would be good for anyone who's sub28. I think it feels too tight on me because I could go up a cupsize, otherwise it's a pretty good fit.
This bra was not originally ordered for myself, but for my girlfriend, but it didn't fit so I tried it on. After wearing this bra I finally know what a firm band feels like, and how to smooth back fat under the band. However, the wires on this bra are very wide.
I appreciate high center gore and wide cups so much. Cup fabric is soft yet strong, feels like quality product. Cups are bit too big as I cant fill them fully, but they'll only need small alterations, this bra is a keeper.
Ruffled shoulder straps are narrow enough not to feel too heavy and to be pretty. I don't particularly like the colour, but overall it's nice piece of lingerie.
I like the shape Alexa gives my boobs. They're nicely projected, sloping towards the center yet not very pointy. But the size and shape of the cup is wrong for my full on bottom, soft breasts. The cups are wrinkly all over, but not because they're too big but too small (not deep enough) and if I sized up I probably couldn't fill the top at all - and the wires would still be too wide.
The straps are too wide set. And the band has stretched out. I can easily wear it in the tightest hooks, yet even my oldest Tango Ii Balconettes in 32 band are almost too tight.
My guess is this might work for people with fuller on top or balanced breasts, wide shoulders, possibly with V-shaped ribcage.
The wires are too wide for me, and the bottoms of the cups way too shallow. There's something wonky about the way the tops of the cups fit, too: sometimes cutting in and sometimes gaping depending on the position of my arms. The top might just be weird because I can't pull the underwires up under my roots, though. Overall, just not a great shape for me.
I read good reviews about alexa bra and I had high hopes when I purchased it. The bra cuts my breast at the top and it has some wrinkles at the bottom. Also it gives me a pointed shape. Unfortunately I think the problem is not the size but the shape(I had similar problems with cleo lucy). Maybe it fits better full on bottom breasts. I feel so sorry that it doesn't fit because it's really cute.
I liked the idea of this bra, but it did not work for me. It was great on my larger breast, but not so much on the smaller one. In fact, it seemed to highlight the difference in size.
The 30D was too small on my larger breast, but the 30DD is perfect. Unfortunately this leaves gapping on my smaller side, but a push-up pad fills it up pretty well. Love the strawberry color way, and the briefs are adorable too!
I think I would like this bra if only it fit. I bought a cup size up and it's still too small, I explode out the top, as you can see in the pictures. I can't really assess the shape because of this. I did notice it does spread my boobs apart more than I would like but I can't really say much more than that. Definitely order one to two cup sizes up!
04.02.2013 i love this bra. i wasnt sure if i liked the appearance, when i ordered it, but i got it for about 10 pounds on asos. but wearing it, it looks really really pretty. i really like the tight band (i normally wear a 30HH in cleo) and its just such a comfortable cute bra.
12.03.2013 i think the band has streched out quite quickly, im now wearing it on the second or third hook and ive only worn it about six times so far
Alas! The color is amazing, the wires are nice and snug, aaaaand the fabric is a wrinkly, crumply wasteland of folds at the top of the cup. Pity, but this is not for shallow, bottom-heavy breasts.
I love the look of this bra, it is the only completely unpadded bra that gives me a good round shape and some lift. It doesn't give as much lift as I like, but I only get that with moulded cup bras.
The gore height in the middle is not as much of a problem as I thought it might be, as sternum stabbing gores are a common problem for me, although it does push into my sternum somewhat. The cups and band seem to run true to size for me, the stretch is 28" so it is a nice snug 28 band.
The cups are ridiculously wide on me, almost going around my back. If it wasn't for this, I would absolutely love this bra, but I need very narrow underwires and these are way too wide.
This bra is clearly the wrong size for me! However, ith an extender it fits me comfortable enough to wear (although, sometimes the underwire gets up in my armpits). The cups are soft w no padding, which I like. It is very pretty for a "hanging out at home" bra.
