This bra works great as a tshirt bra - the seams and lace aren't really visible under a shirt. The fabric is nice and smooth, and the bra is really comfortable.
I did have to go down a band size (and therefore up in the cup) from my usual size - the band is quite stretchy and I can easily fit in the 28.
The bra is definitely wide enough and shallow enough for my shape, but it is maybe verging on slightly too closed on top.
It isn't the right shape for me. The wires are wide and long enough, but the cups cut in at the armpits (whether that's MBT, wrong shape, or both - I'm not sure) and then there's some spillage in the middle as I am bottom heavy. I don't quite fill the bottom of the cup as there is creasing - could be orange in a glass, but just seems like an overall weird fit so I don't think a different size would make a better fit.
Wires sometimes poke me in the middle, will try to bend the wires out a bit.
I bought this when I was still a 30C and wear it with an extension. In my opinion this bra is very comfortable and gives my boobs a nice, round shape. Compared to the Cleo George the Brooke does not push my boobs to the front as much, so the shape it gives me looks a bit more natural. It is also cut cut pretty open at the top, so the 28D and 30C cups still fit after my breast tissue migration - I usually wear 30D bras now. It have not worn this bra often enough to comment on whether or not the band stretches out.
I loved this bra, as it was the first unpadded bra that fit and looked good on me. I wore this bra until my breast tissue migrated and I have now bought two more in my new size. It's a great bra for wide root shallow breasts, although the thinner part of the cup usually wrinkles a bit. These wrinkles disappeared after I had worn this bra several times, and they didn't show under shirts at the beginning. In the time I wore it the band didn't stretch out.
I really like this bra. Very very cute color and pattern and the shape is great. My only minor complaint is that the top of the cup cuts in slightly, but I'm sure if I went up a cup size then it would be too big. I think I am slightly fuller on top so quadboob is always a problem for me. I noticed that because the inside of the bra is lined in white, some of the white shows around the edges on the outside (like along the bottom of the band in the front). Not a huge deal but minorly annoying, I wish they'd used something ...less obvious, other than white. I have no issues with the gore being too wide (sometimes an issue) or high (I prefer a higher gore). The wires come up nice an high (my preference) and my armpit chub is contained, no boob spillage. I haven't worn it all day yet but I think it will be comfortable. Very happy.
I also bought the Darcy and they are very similar in fit and shape. The band around the back is slightly wider on this one (not looser, but the band is thicker, if that makes sense), and the gore is slightly wider on the Darcy. I prefer the fit of this one but they're so similar it's hard to point out the differences. Read more 123 more words
I'm very happy with this bra, though it isn't perfect. On myself, the cups are slightly too far apart in the middle so my boobs spill over ever so slightly over the gore (not really noticeable unless you actually look at it). The top part of the cup also cuts in very slightly, but I'm sure if I went up a cup size it would be too big. Quadboob is normally my biggest challenge in finding a bra that fits, I think my shape is slightly top heavy. That's the extent of my complaints, otherwise I love it. I love the pattern, the color, the shape. It gives ...me a great lift and nice shape. In a lot of other bras I usually find the cup doesn't come up high enough and the "wing" is too low so my armpit chub spills over, but I feel nicely held in with this bra. I prefer higher wires but if that's a problem for you, this might not be the bra for you. I haven't worn it all day yet but I think it will be very comfortable. The band seems firm to me, compared to some of my other bras. I also bought the Ellie and while the bras are very similar, they aren't the same. The band on this one is slightly narrower, and the center gore on the Ellie is a little closer together. Read more 128 more words
Best fitting bra I've tried on, but the underwires are a little uncomfortable against my chest under my boobs and the bottom of the cups seem to bunch up a little depending on how I move. The material feels soft and comfortable and the band stretched a lot, but provided enough resistance that it felt secure. Even the straps feel cushiony. Hot pink isn't really my thing, but this bra seems to only be available with brightly colored "accents".
This bra is suuuper gorgeous - makes my boobs look amazing and nicely rounded from the side. When I put it on in the fitting room, it seemed perfect. With a little wear, I've discovered that it can get fairly painful during the day, especially sitting down at work. The underwire tends to painfully poke into the fat above it on my arm. (Sidebar - how on earth is a plus size girl supposed to figure out what's fat and what's breast tissue when scooping into cups?) Likewise, by the end of the day I'd have fairly painful pressure points at the top of the gore in front ...of my chest. However, there was spare room in the channel, and I've been able to push the wire down in front, and squoosh it in flush with the elastic in the channel on the sides, which actually mostly fixes both problems- having that elastic there helps to cushion it instead of it just being wire stabbing through mesh. I'm also hoping with wear it'll chill out a little. I do also wish the wings were a little larger or firmer, because on a fatter body, it does tend to squoosh in, but not in a painful way.
On the plus side, this is the most secure I've ever felt in a bra - they're not going anywhere! It's also my first non-moulded cup, so I can't really compare that well to others of its ilk, other than that I seem to have a like 1/11 hit rate in the dressing room, and this is the best so far!
EDIT: okay, I've since realized I was totally in the wrong size when I wrote this, an remigrated a lot, so take it with a grain of salt.
I was fitted for this bra at Bravissimo a few days ago, in the shop it seemed to fit perfectly on the loosest hook but when I tried it on today I had to go for the middle hook and had quadboob. I'll try again after my period and see how it is then https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I find this a very lovely, pretty bra that gives a nice shape and looks good underneath clothes. Originally, I was wearing too big a band size (34inches) and have recently switched to the correct band size (30inches), and found the bra fit perfectly on the last cusp. Now I am used to a 30inch band, I have found this band too big (my underbust is still 30inches) and it is now on the tightest clasp. The straps are also a little wide for me but not enough to give discomfort.
I like this bra, but I don't think it's perfect for me. The wires are a bit too wide, but they aren't uncomfortable. The center gore is higher than I would like and it occasionally digs into my sternum. The lace gapes even though I fill the cups. The print is very cute though and it's comfortable enough that I still wear this bra regularly.
I bought this in 30FF and 30G after reading reviews on Nordstrom. All around, way too large for me (in the cups). You can see the review I wrote for the 30FF for more detailed points.
The 28FF is great for those who need a wide underwire. This works well for a medium projection. The band does feel like it runs tighter/smaller than something like a Freya, but having the right cup size ( and also not in the black color) helps to increase the comfort level. I only just received this today, so I'm not sure how the wear and tear is on it.
The cups are a little shallow in the bottom and roomy on top, but the depth and width are perfect. It works great as a sleep bra, since my boobs tend to fall more toward my face when I lie down, but standing it would clearly work better for breasts with more top fullness and less bottom fullness than mine.
Definitely didn't fit. The only band was stretchy and too big, the cups were definitely small. It seems I'm supposed to be a 30DD but i'm going to exchange this for a 28E. I do really like the shape
This is a really beautiful basic bra, I especially like the lace detailing.
Negative: I measure 27 inches on my underbust and find that I can easily clip it onto the tighest hook to give a snug fit. The loosest is fine, there isn't any riding up of the band but I prefer new bras to be snug on the loosest when I first buy them. I think this would have been perfect in a 26 band (I know it's not available) because the straps are almost at their tighest aswell. Unlike the 32Ds I used to wear, this is not that big of an issue because the band itself is supporting my breasts even when I slip off the straps.
The cups encase all of my breast tissue, the underwires are comfortable and there is a nice smooth rounded shape achieved.
All in all, good uplift, good round shape shame the band is not tighter.
I love the color of this bra, it is very soft and doesn't show under clothes. However, I do not like the shape of it as much as other bras - I feel it keeps my wide set breasts far apart and does not help create cleavage or give a super round shape. I really do like this bra as it fits well, however I find the wires to poke uncomfortably on my ribs. It is possible this is just because I am getting used to to the tighter band size. Additionally, this bra might run a cup size small - I normally were ...a 32E or a 30F and I bought a 30FF in this and it still isn't holding all of my breast tissue, particularly at the armpits.
Edit March 2013: The gore in this bra pokes into my sternum even though it's so short/low, and the cups I don't think fit anyone quite right. I have quad boob and the cuts are too deep/wide set for me. I would need at least a 30G in this bra to stop the quad boob but then I think I would have empty space in the cups. I know this bra is tempting but consider buying something else. Read more 103 more words
