My favourite bra. The light padding and soft materials make it really comfortable. I love the purple fuzzy polka dot pattern. The bra gives me good uplift and a gentle cleavage and is nearly invisible under clothes.
The only problem I've had is that after four months of frequent wear the band has stretched out a lot so it's now a little loose even on the tightest hook.
Love this bra! It's almost perfect for me. It's high enough on the sides to encase my considerable side-boobage, and gives a nicely rounded, projected look. It's also very cute! Will be buying in all of the new colors and patterns. The band, however, is stretchier than I like and I wore it on the tightest hook right away. I tightened it by sewing a shorter elastic over the elastic (thanks, Venusian Glow!) and now I can wear it on the loosest hook and get plenty of support. Super comfortable as well and I just love the way it looks!
i would normally have gotten a 30F but i was reading a blog post, and the girl said she sizes up because she's full on top, and it was on sale for a discounted price on amazon in a 30FF (free 2-day shipping? i love amazon prime!) it seems to be working out great! if i slouch it starts to gape a bit at the top, but other than that, the cups fit quite well, and for the first time, NOT A HINT OF QUAD BOOB (even in the big one!)
if i were to change anything with the bra it'd be the straps. i am cursed ...(or in this case, blessed) with enormously broad swimmer's shoulders, and if the straps were any further apart they would be slipping off - they are just a little wider apart than i'd like. they're also wider than i'd like, but i suppose i'll just have to suck it up and get used to that.
i have this bra in navy with pink. i am not a big fan of super girly things, but the bra is mostly navy and the pink (or the tiny flowers) isn't overwhelming. very cute :]
just got it today so no clue about how it'll wear with time, but i've been reading good things, so hopefully it'll last.
update: the bra rubs a touch under my right arm. i only notice it when i wear it the whole day, and it was worst the first time and has been getting progressively better. i sized up in the cup according to brasihate's suggestion, but i think i could maybe have gotten away with my normal size. i'll try that next time, i guess.
update 2: i've worn this bra maybe 7 times and it no longer rubs under my right arm. i still think i should try getting a 30F and altering the gore to turn the cups inward a bit to minimize quad-boobing.
Oh, how I want to keep it! But I'll resist. So, this is an utterly gorgeous bra that is too big in the band for me. When I do it up on the tightest or middle hooks, the cup looks somewhere between OK and smallish (some underarm bulging), so I think 32FF would be good. I only tried it on twice, but I think that it may poke in the underarm area as well, as the wing seems quite high there. Still, I'd love to have this in my right size, whatever that is!
This bra is a very cute style. Balconet seems more appropriate than demi cup for me. I thought the cup separation was too much, but it's smaller than other bras. I think the issue is the wires are a little pokey or maybe it doesn't sit on my sternum correctly.
I love the thick straps. The style is cute. What keeps this bra from being a perfect fit for me is my breasts don't quite fill the bottom of the cups (I didn't notice this at the store) and I'm concerned the cup separation might be a little too big for me.
This bra has a nice lift. When I adjusted the wires away from the sternum into the armpit wire area it began to dig soon thereafter! The bra hasn't been worn very long so I don't know if it will stretch. I do have it on the last hook. Update: Bra is riding up in back due to stretching and quadboob effect is emerging!
Due to weight gain, I ordered this bra in a 36J instead of my usual Cleo size of 32/34J. Happily, for my ego, the bra is too large. Both the cups and band seem exceptionally stretchy.
Overall, the bra is lovely though the cups are a bit stiff. The shape is similar to the Alexa and I think the projection will be very forward and supported, in the correct size. I’ll be exchanging but wanted to post the measurements for this one.
When I first got this as a part of a grab bag, I dismissed it as too large and stuck it in a drawer. I've since realized I've been underestimating my cup size. This bra puckers a bit on the top on my smaller side, but I think that's partially due to construction rather than shaping - the seaming looks to slightly gather the lace, and it shouldn't. The gore is much too wide wide for my close-set bust.
This bra does not fit my boob-shape at all. I've tried 28E, 28F, and 28FF. The straps are too far apart and fall easily. The underwires are very "U" shaped, whereas by boobs are more flat along the bottom. The cups cut into the top of my boobs, no matter the size. I went from a 28F to a 28FF in the hopes that there would be less quad-boob. Instead, I couldn't fill the bottom of the cup, and there was still quad-boob. Also, the wire digs into my sternum when I bend over. Generally not a comfortable bra.
I'm a bit disappointed in this bra. My left boob seems to fit but my right one doesn't. I love the high centre gore and the band fits well, meaning that it looks like I'm a 30 instead of a 32.
Straps are lovely and comfortable, but almost don't adjust short enough.
The gore lies flat; wires do not poke my sternum or under my arms.
Band is quite comfortable.
Top edge of cups lie flat, but tiny wrinkle on right cup (larger breast) near fabric section, bigger wrinkle on left cup. Slight wrinkling along bottom of cup (wrinkles "parallel", i.e. follow curve of the wires). Cups give me a nice shape. Slightly itchy after a few hours' wear.
I wound up returning this without managing to get measurements or pictures, unfortunately, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents. The bra was gorgeous on, felt probably the most front and center and projected of bras I've tried. The material felt nice and firm, though the transition between the bottom cup and lacy bit was slightly more prominent under a shirt than I'm used to from Cleo.
The band definitely ran the tightest of that batch of bras - for reference, I couldn't close this without an extender, as compared to the 34j marcie that I'm wearing with an extender to break in the bra ...gently but I definitely could have closed and worn.
in the end, I had to send it back because the wires were just too narrow to get away with - I have an extremely wide root, so while almost all wires are too narrow on me, these were definitely on tissue to the point where I didn't want to risk bad migration. (I'm not sure this necessarily means these will be great for people hunting for narrow roots, but they at least felt narrower on me than marcie.) https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Sad times, pretty Melissa.
