This is a standard Comexim 3HC, I did not ask for any alterations. It's my first Comexim bra but I do think I got the size right and overall the fit seems really good. The band is true to size but feels pretty firm as the lace fabric doesn't seem to have a ton of stretch. I think this style is a bit shallow at the wire for me since I do feel the underwire a bit more than is ideal but it's not too uncomfortable. The overall shape it gives is very lifted and rounded.

Fit aside, I love the design of this bra. It's minimal but still very cute with the lace fabric and trim. I'm really pale so the peachy pink color is basically 'nude' for me. The trim on the top of the cups is pretty flat and it might show a bit through tight, thin shirts but it was totally fine under a looser-fitting t-shirt.

I have a handful of Comexim plunges, all in 60HH -- if one thing can be said about these bras, they are for the most part incredibly consistent. They fit my FOB, center-full, soft breasts incredibly well (it is worth noting that my breasts are about 3 fingers-widths apart, but the cups are relatively close-together -- this does not make the bra uncomfortable and I don't notice it, visually or otherwise, during wear). I normally wear UK 28Fs, so if anyone is confused about Comexim sizing, I had luck staying with the same band and sizing up 2 cups (60HH is equivalent to a 28G)!!

I actually love this bra, but unfortunately it just doesn’t fit me. It is shallower at the wire than Comexim’s plunges or 3HCs, so when I tried it on it just pushed me right out of the top. The band is also too tight on me, which I had known was likely; I was surprised when it came up as a recommendation from the Bratabase because I usually wear a 65 in Comexim band, but I thought maybe the band on the Mimi Half Cup was just very stretchy. So far in my experience and based on the measurements, I would say it is not an excessively stretchy band. If Comexim 65s are too big for you, this 60 would probably be perfect. One style thing to note is that on the stock photo the Mimi had two black bows on the gore, one above the other, but the one I received just had one bow with double loops.

    Fits

I wrote reviews for this bra when I first got it and recently, but forgot to post it here!

    -

    First after purchase:

I got the Comexim Blue Spring in 3HC because I find it much more open on top than plunges. Asked for lowered and narrowed gore because of how close my breasts are and centre fullness, so it looks like a plunge. My last Comexim bra was a Ginger 3HC in 60H. My boobs got bigger so I couldn’t wear it anymore because my nipples slipped out a little. I have emailed Joanna before placing this order and sent some pictures wearing a bralette (because I don’t own ... the Ginger anymore), and she said it was difficult to deduce the size but I should start with 60HH.

The bra arrived after ~ 3 weeks today. I feel that everything is great apart from the cups being a bit too shallow. It feels like the cups are pressing on my boobs. A little is fine, since I like a rounded shape, but my left (bigger) boob quads a little bit. And I’m not at the part of the cycle where my boobs are the largest. My standing bust was 33.5” and leaning bust was 35” when I last measured near my period.

    -

Overall it has been one of the best fitting bra that I own - snug band, open on top cups with enough projection, low and small gore. The only downside is that my left (bigger boob) is slightly too big for the cup sometimes, but not very much.

    -

    Recently:

I’ve noticed that I have shoulder pain on both sides only while wearing this bra. The straps fall down frequently so I tightened it, but the pain started before I did that. Even after they are tightened, I still feel like they don’t stay where they should be.

As I have suspected that it is caused by a chance in size, I remeasured and it turns out I have dropped in size (according to the ABTF calculator)! But I cannot see any visible fit issues, for example there was no space in the cup and neither was I quadding - maybe only a little bit when I’m near my period. The band is still snug and nice. It is really confusing because I have never experienced such shoulder pain with another bra. And I have never felt like straps are too wide on any bra. But I still wear it, the pain is not too bad if I don't wear it for very long.

Has your band size dropped? Maybe your straps are doing too much work holding up your bust because your band is too big??

    • 1

The ABTF calculator also has a big caveat list for under/over estimating. It's also possible that your fullness has shifted and it's not accounting for that.

    • 2

Wilderness1 My undercuts measurements has dropped with the weight loss, I tried to move in a set of hooks and it did make it a little better. But I think if I go down to a 55/26 band it will be too small.

    • Wilderness1 lol I meant underbust*

    • 1

Sovavosi It has always underestimated cup size for me, probably because I have top and centre fullness that is not accounted in the circumference measurement. But it's strange that it shows a decrease in cup size while I got fitted in an 28FF bra recently! (When I normally wear a 28F)

This fits similar to my other 60HH Comexim plunges. Band is true to size and the cups fit well, although they are a bit tall on my short breasts. No gaping though. I get a slightly better and more flattering fit with the 3HCs, and my latest 60J 3HC is perfect, so I think 3HCs fit a little smaller than the plunges. This is a beautiful bra and it's comfy too. I'm happy with it.

I bought this bra second hand from another Bratabase user. It must have some serious voodoo, because it fits both breasts really well. Absolutely no gaping on my small side and no quad boob on my large side. I nearly always get at least one of these, if not both! It's also attractive and really comfy. The straps are soft and the band is reasonably snug. I'm really pleased with this bra.

    Didn't fit

This color is so pretty! I love the all over lace. Mint would be a perfect summer bra. Unfortunately, this one didn’t really fit me so well (possibly because of the alterations I got).
First of all, the wires are wider than in other Comexim plunges I have tried. Also, it seems that cup reduction takes away a tiny bit of the volume that I need. There’s no obvious quadboob going on (except during PMS boobs), but the cups sort of smush my boobs together. I’ve never have Comexim gores fully tack because of my close-set breasts, but this one floats much further away from my ribcage than usual. ... I do have slightly FoT shape and about average root height (not short at least) so I guess I’m better off with standard cup height.
The band is pretty tight. The straps are thin and stretchy, but also pretty and shimmery. In the end, I’m just not a fan of the fit on me. I do love the style otherwise, so maybe I’ll reorder this at some point with standard cup height or as 3HC.

Alterations: reduced cups, reduced gore, overlapping wires at the gore, straps moved in.

Free Time is so good looking! The double bow is gorgeous, and I love everything plaid. I didn’t realize that I want a denim blue bra before I got this in my hands. It’s really cute but also has a slightly masculine touch.
This bra has reduced cups, reduced gore, straps moved in and 4x3 hooks. Unfortunately, I am starting to realize that reduced cups don’t really work for me, as it makes the bras fit a bit too small. This one doesn’t really quad too badly, but it sort of smushes my boobs together in a way that doesn’t happen with standard cups. The gore is also ... pretty far from tacking. The band in this bra is really big. Although it fits okay on the tightest hooks, I would probably need to shorten the band if I were to keep it.
Otherwise the construction and materials feel very lovely. I was very happy to find this in Bratabase, but unfortunately I need to confess that it’s not the best fit for me. I’m sad that Free Time is now discontinued! I would totally order a new one otherwise.

I am SO, so sad!I was waiting for the pioson ivy for 6 whole weeks, and now it doesn't fit like my comexim beauty 3HC at all! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

I did ask for the following alterations:
    -reduced centre gore
    -reduced cup hight
    -straps moved in
    -cookie pockets
    -2x4 rows of hooks

    I did get:
    -straps moved in
    -cookie pockets
    -3x3rows of hooks
    -overlapping gore

Actually I don't seem to need the reduced centre gore, so thats fine!
When I'm not taking pictures the sides go pretty high under my arms, but well, I can live with this. That way at least I won't be wearing it like 10 days in a row^^

Anyway, this would all still ... be ok!
BUT this bra feels way more shallow, then my beauty 3HC! Is it because of the cookie pockets? (No cookies!) Or did they maybe use the wrong underwires? (they are 13,5cm wide, compared to the underwires of the beauty with only 12,7 cm)
    I am so sad!
This bra is so beautyfull but so uncomfortable!!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
It doesn't have enough space near the underwires and slides down untill it sits uncomfortably on my ribs.

Ugh, I am just so sad and disappointed!!

Edit: just realized this has 4x3 rows of hooks!

Edit2: after bending the wires it fits way better! thank God!! (I was verry close to crying because it didn't fit!!)

There seems to have been quite a few 3HCs that feel shallower than they should lately. Odd that your band is loose, both my PIs have had tight bands. Did you try to bend the underwires narrower? Might help.

All that aside, I think this is too small for you overall.

    • Ugh, exasperating. It's really hard to order with wildly aberrant band sizes. I contacted Anna about mine but she hasn't got back to me. P Ivy is a really pretty half cup, though!

    • 1

Through Jaimie at @Bra Obsessed, I have asked Anna to create a more immediately projected bra. Anna is "thinking about it." If you feel like it, send her a similar request. The more of us asking for change, the more likely she will create a more projected design.

I ordered three new 65K 3HCs and sold one 65K that "wasn't quite projected enough." The three newest 65Ks were so shallow I had to re-purchase the "not quite projected enough" 65K from the person I sold it to.

I measured the bands before I wore them: same length. As I stretched one of the new 65Ks around my bosom, knowing the band was plenty long, the threads snapped in two locations. This is the first time in 85 bras I've broken threads.

I did try a two sizes too small half padded style. Surprisingly, it may work: it had more immediate projection. And, I've ordered two E.M. CH nursing bras that I will alter to fit.

It is...frustrating, maddening, and causes me to buy more beautiful bras. Sigh. I hope something changes soon.

    • lcl0706 yes it is definatelly tol small in terms of cup deepth, but I am afraid to order 60J, because yours has like 3cm more cup deepth then mine! (And yours seems to me the perfect size for me :/ )
How to I bend them narrower?

@letstalkaboutbras yes it is so pretty! :)

@DressTheTwins thats a good idea! I might send her an email to ask what bra has most immediate projection and explain my fit problems to her.

Do you think I can ask her if they might have accidentally used the wrong wires or is this to offensive?

    • DressTheTwins I was just going to place a new order and your comment has me debating it now ... Come to think of it, I did notice that your 65K for sale seemed shallow enough for me; the only reason I didn't buy was because of the cup height. If I have to go up to K to get the volume I need and can't reduce the height on a half cup, I'm out of luck :(

    • 1

letstalkaboutbras You and I have a similar predicament. Sigh.

    • 1

BronteBeach pleeeeeaaase take the Sonia I have listed. it's too big for me and I think it would be perfection on you! seriously! I think you need that added depth and it's so gorgeous. This PI looks too small all over. You bend wires by gently pressing inward on each side of them until they measure narrower. Comexims are easy to bend.

    • lcl0706 thx for the advice how to bend the wires! I always thought they would just go straight back in there position! I did bend them and now the bra feels waaaay better!! Thank you so much!! I hope it will stay this way during the evening! :)
I will try to bend the wires on my chp, if it doesnt work would you like to exchange it with the sonja? :)

    • I already have this exact same bra, same size & everything! I'm really needing to destash stuff that doesn't fit. But I bet you could sell it easily, PI is a popular bra

    • If you decide to order a new size, I'd do that sooner than later because I know they're low on fabric for it. The reduced gore alteration is really slight. I have a picture of my Sonia's with and without it and I'm surprised you can visually tell it wasn't reduced. I was under the impression they don't reduce cup height on half cups, but that moving in the straps makes the cups fit a little smaller. The band sizes are pretty inconsistent there, so I just order a 55 and take it in need be.

    • 1

lcl0706 I was talking about my Ewa Michalak CHP you mailed me about a couple of weeks ago ;)
The pioson ivy fits good after bending the wires (at least for the last 3 hours, so I have hope! :) )

      @girl333 I think I'll stick to this one :)
I have three 3HC bras size 60HH and the other 2 are obviously not as high as this one! I will add pictures if you are interested :)

    • 1

I have several 3HCs as well and the gores all vary a lot...most of mine are reduced gore. A reduced gore is only bc a few cms. I'd check the measurements on the other pioson Ivys in that size. Bending the wires should work for you though. I did it in my VS bras pre abtf.

I adore these stretchy, comfortable, crimson straps. The cups are lined with a silky red fabric. The background fabric is teal-gray and the deep pink flowers provide delightful contrast to the darker background. This band is supportive, stretchy, and firm. Because of my need for immediate projection, my breasts couldn't sit in the cup properly. I'll try a 60J next and hope for more immediate projection. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Poppies is adorable and comfortable, but doesn't fit me.

This bra is really cute. I think if this were a 65H this would be a much better fit for me, the band is too small which I figured it would be, but I don't mind wearing bras with an extender if the cups fit. However when I wear this with an extender, the straps become too wideset for me. For not having reduced cups, the cup height is actually pretty good for me.

I got this from Kerniss. It was supposed to have alterations, but now we aren't sure it does. I don't think it would fit me if it did. The wires are nice and narrow and the cup barely fits. After scooping & swooping, I have to kinda reverse scoop the bigger left side back into the cup. After that, the gore tacks nicely, and oddly enough it gives a very minimizing appearance. I wonder if I had this half a size up, if it would be just as minimizing. At any rate, I like this bra because it prevents boob-tent under my shirts.

Pattern is cute, bows are cute, it's a cute bra. 3 hook clasp, which I like. Typical Comexim good quality, narrow wires, and allowance for projection.

    60HH

    Didn't fit

    Wow, so. Ok. Lol
This bra is too big, obviously. It looks comical.
I have a half inch to an inch extra space on top, but the bottoms extend far enough for me.
I can't comment on wire width or much else, becuase the cups are simply too big for me.
The band in the 60, definitely stretches to 30. It's very stretchy, which I was banking on being as I'm not quite 28" underbust.

I do like the material a lot, and I'm excited to receive my 65G from Comexim.
Speaking of which, I recieved a 65F and this, which fits more like a 65H, both today.
The 60HH had cups too big ... ( at least on top), and the 65F had cups that, earlier I thought were only making me quad slightly.
I'm definitely keeping it, but as the day went on, I realized that the bottom of the cups were too small and makes the cups stretch (which someone pointed out on my fit request). I'll go into more detail about that later on my 65F Comexim Emanuelle review- being as I'm procrastinating with a project right now and don't have much time/ also feel that's more appropriate.

Because of the 65F being just slightly off, and the 60HH being probably an inch or so off up top, I have a much, much better understanding of what I need in Comexim. I already have the Basic in 65G on the way, but I really believe I need shortened cup height and a higher gore.
I almost fall out of my Emauelle, but that may also be because it's just slightly too small. The gore in the Basic looked like it'd be fine in a size down. I'm hoping that cup height won't be an issue in 65G, but we'll see...

I want to mention that the padding in both Comexims is very minimal, and "flimsy" similar to a Freya longline--not moulded. Others informed me of this before I purchased Comexims, as I don't care too much for stiff moulding, but I wanted to include that in my review. I love love love the padding in both my Comexims.

Anyway, yeah. I have tall "roots", narrow boobs and need projection. I'm mostly even, but functionally FoB. If you're FoB and think you're in between sizes- as far as I've experienced thus far, I'd maybe go for the smaller size because the two I have measure fuller on top. If you go for the bigger size and maybe if you have short roots or even long, shallow roots, try getting shortened cup height.

Also, this 60 is stretchy, but the previous owner mentioned that it's always been. I think I could easily wear a smaller band in this, but the 60 is comfortable to me (and now I'm even more worried about my 65G).

That's about all I can say for now, as this is too big on me so anything else might be inaccurate.

I had the same problem with the Emanuelle.
I think you're on the right track with the Comexim sizing. I have a Basic in 60H which fits well in the cup, but my band is *tight* and I use an extender.
Anyway, it's a sister to 65G. I'll post fit pics of it tomorrow

    • jlcl119 Yeah, it's so close!! The comfort is amazing though. Luckily I have soft tissue, because I think being squished a little bit might be uncomfortable with firmer tissue. Regardless of being slightly small, I forgot I was wearing the Emanuelle most of the day.

I pretty much hang onto my VS because their material is amazingly comfy, but I think I'm about ready to let them go after realizing that more cloud-like, better fitting, and prettier bras are out there xD

Anyway, thanks for letting me know! I'll look for the fit pics tomorrow :D

Queequeg0925 They're up! They should be here http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dlufu/ if that doesn't take you to them it's a Basic 60H, mine are the run with the black Frenchie in the background.
You can see in the one that the gore doesn't quite tack. It's usually closer than it is in the photo, but my arms were above my ears to take the shot. Also, the wrinkles are only there from holding my phone.
      I hope they help!

    • jlcl119 Super helpful! Thank you so much :)

I think it looks great! it's unfortunate that the gore isn't tacking :(

    • You know, somebody mentioned on my fit checks that Comexim wires are softer and I may not get a tack from them. I think they're right.
With the Ingrid and Irish Coffee, the non-tacking gore interfered with support and comfort after a few minutes and I fell out of both.
In this it doesn't and I've worn it all day playing with an active 6-year-old, so I think they're floaters for me.

    • jlcl119 I've heard that a few times also. I've been seeing that a lot with the Joy Longline, and idk, I think it might be worse because it's a longline without boning, and people say the band is looser. I think that can affect tacking?

I'd assume whoever suggested that is probably right because the cups look good from the photos, and if you can be decently active in it, then it's very probable that it's the wires :)

    • jlcl119 I just got my Comexims!
The gore doesn't tack in my Basic 65G either. But geez, the cups are nice *_*
Just thought I'd let you know- I'm assuming the wire thing is true :)

    • 1

Your Basic looks great on you! As far as the gore, I think it's nice. I get such a hard tack from my Ewas that the soft tack on the Comexim is a nice break. I just finalized my reorder of my Ingrid and Irish today, I'm eager for them!

The Joys look nice too, but I think you can do better. Maybe if the HC is comfy keep it, but I'd sell the longline. Maybe even both then reorder....
      That's my unsolicited suggestion :)

    • jlcl119 Thank you! :)
I hear you. I have a Freya Rio, Fantasie Evie, and I think my Deco Vibe, and the gores can become really painful to me. The Basic is super nice.

Good luck with the new Irish and Ingrid! I really hope they work out for you :)

I agree about the Joys. I think I'm going to take a few days to think about it.

On one hand, I really want them now, so I feel like I ought to keep them, but then again if I'm buying such good bras, they might as well fit right, right? :P

I'm really distraught about the 70 band, but I like that bra more. That's probably the one I'm most likely to sell and repurchase though.

And the Longline, I definitely think I need a fit check for, because I tightened the straps and it stopped the gapping on my right, but I'm still not sure.
The wire width kind of bugs me, but the actual cup depth is surprisingly 8-8.5"

Well this is my second attempt at Comexim, two sizes down from the ginormous 60K I previously tried, and it's a no go too. So I'm disappointed and more confused on my Comexim size, and will be posting a fit check I'm sure.

First of all, it's a lovely bra. I love the green lace overlay. It's insanely soft and comfortable. It's pre-owned but is in great shape. The band is possibly stretched out a bit, I put it on the middle hooks.

However, I've finally done it - I've met a gore that doesn't tack. The wire width and projection are fine, ... but it's obviously too small in the cups, my nipples threaten to pop out. The cups seem quite short so I have asked the seller if the cups are reduced because she didn't specify, and I think knowing that will help me decide what size to try next. I'll update when she answers. Typically I wear a 28FF in unlined bras and a 28G in molded bras, so I'm somewhat surprised at how much too small this 60HH is.

I just received this bra and want to write a review right away! but bear in mind that I've not worn it for longer than 10 minutes so my feelings are subject to change. Edit: Now that I've had a chance to wear the bra--including a long night of dancing!--I can attest to its comfort. Also, the band has stretched just enough after a couple wearings that it's now quite comfortable.

First, it's a beautiful bra. The pattern and construction are amazing and the cups are very soft inside. I'm very pleased with the quality.

As for fit & sizing... this was a gamble (as it is for most people!) ... as I have never tried Comexim. Following their sizing chart, I am a 70G (which I reckon is about a 32F?). They use the +4 method, so if I size down to a 60 band, that puts me in a 60HH. This was probably the safest choice for me. I have read elsewhere that rather than finding your size this way, you should instead take your normal band size and use their chart for cup size. This methods puts me in a 60L (95cm bust). It may work for some women, but I recognized immediately that that would be wrong for me (I have quite a broad/muscly back so that distorts it somewhat perhaps)! The 60HH fits pretty well, though I might have been able to get away with a 60J because the gore doesn't tack and my boobs escape a bit out the sides, but these might be primarily shape issues. Neither problem greatly affects the look or fit of the bra, so I'm going to keep it. Please note that the band is tight. I have a 27"snug underbust (28" loose), and it's too tight for my liking--not enough to have ordered a band size up, but tight enough that I wish I owned an extender.

    My only complaints are that
    1) the gore is so narrow that the embellishment (a bow and a little diamond charm) get smooshed and obscured. Why even have them, or at least why have such a big bow?
    2) the sides come up quite low. The cup width is nearly perfect on me (the wire is slightly too narrow on my larger side, but it doesn't 'cut in' exactly), but the cup stops about .5" too low so my a bit of boob can't be contained
    3) I thought the shape would be rounder. This isn't a huge issue as most of my bras are unmoulded Freya so I clearly don't mind a pointy cup, but I thought the Juliette would be more rounded/uplifted.

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and keen to try more of the brand.

P.S. If anyone's interested. I also ordered the matching briefs. They're a bit more matronly and full coverage (from the front) than I'd expected but ah well. I got size M and I have 35.5" hips (31" high waist i.e. at navel) and it cuts in a bit!

i love all things green. the first time i saw this bra months ago, i knew i had to have it. it's beautiful!

this is my first true foray into the 28 band world, and i think it was probably long overdue. the first time i wore it there was a slight ache in my back, but i wore it for the second time for most of the day yesterday, and there were no problems. it feels like i'm not even wearing a bra!

the sizing was a little weird - i normally use my leaning bust measurement of 38" but that put me in a size too large. ... if you're looking at their measurement table, i think the best way to do it is to take your usual band size (60 = 28, 65 = 30 etc) and use a bust measurement that isn't your largest one (for me, standing rather than leaning).

the velvet flocking is pretty but if you're wearing a thin, tight shirt it shows up sort of lumpily through the fabric. the cups are quite tall as well, so you might want to be careful with low cut necklines.

i got more projection out of this bra than even my EM bras - i felt like it made my boobs look bigger, actually, which is not something i usually go for, but there's a time and place for everything, i suppose. the profile from the side is very uplifted and perhaps slightly less round than my EM bras, though that may have something to do with the fact that the cup shape isn't quite as well matched for me. if you were to mentally divide your breasts into four quadrants, my upper-center quadrants are the most full, followed by lower-center, upper-outer and lower-outer. there's a bit more room in the upper outer quadrant of the bra than i can fill, though it's not visible (i can just feel it).

all around a wonderful bra, and the customer service at comexim is incredible. i'll be ordering from them again for certain

This bra was too large for me, so I exchanged it for a 55HH. Even though I ordered the Comexim Jasmine in the same size, the Green Velvet bra was slightly larger both in the cups and the band. It felt very comfortable though, nice material and well fitting (small and narrow) underwires.

not quite a perfect fit as this lacks enough immediate projection at the gore for my center fullness but it is still wearable. even though the gore is narrow, it doesn't tack hard enough at the top and sits a bit on my breast tissue.

the fabric has a slight sheen and it is very comfortable; it pushes my boobs up with a rounded and slightly minimizing effect.
