    Didn't fit

This bra is gorgeous. It arrived in the mail with a string or two straying from the lace, but this is minor and easily fixed.

Unfortunately, I can't justify keeping it due to the fit--I'm spilling slightly out of the top without fully adjusting, and trying to pull all of my breast tissue into the cup results in major quad-boob. The top of the cup is very forgiving and creates a perfect cakes-on-a-plate shape, if you're into that (which I am). At the same time, the bottom of the cup buckles underneath the weight of my boobs and is difficult to fill. Does not feel very supportive or sturdy, ... especially at the top, so if I keep it, it would have to be saved for low-activity days. I can hook the band easily and the band itself is firm, but the cups make it hard to judge if the band is just right.

The center gore is a perfect height and width, and almost tacks (again, without adjustment), and while the underwire itself doesn't poke anywhere, the side of the cup where it connects to the strap digs uncomfortably into my underarms. The straps are also very wide-set and tend to slip off.

The shape and cleavage this bra gives are incredible and I feel great in it despite the glaring fit issues. I'd love to try this bra in a 28JJ or 28K, but a 30J is probably my best bet. Sizing up probably won't fix the cup height issue, but it's just too pretty to give up on!

I ordered it in the Pink/Ivory, a cute colourway that reminds me of My Little Pony. Bur I ran into the same problems as with the Curvy Kate Entice (SG1601) : too wide wires, too wide cup, too wide set straps, very painful underwire digging. The cups were too big for me though, I couldn't fill them. This one was returned as well.

    Didn't fit

I fell in love with the Tease Me model as soon as I saw pictures of it but, woe is me, I came too late to the party. The colors I was hankering after were all from past seasons and I couldn't find my size.

The closest I came was a 30DD (I'd ideally need a 28F or, baring that, a 30E with a Rixie clip). The 30DD is definitely wearable with the clip but I'd really need that extra half-cup to eliminate the slight quadboob effect I get after wearing the bra for a couple of hours. Otherwise, the shape is great: it gives me the rounded, projected look that I love.

So now I'm impatiently waiting for the SS2014 season because it seems the Showgirl range will make a comeback. There'll be no waiting for end of the season sales. I'll be first in line to buy a set in my correct size so that I can wear it as an everyday bra.

A plain bra, that fit me okay-ish: cups filled to the brim with the criss cross doubling over on itself (not sure why), and a tight enough band, though very stretchy. But, this is without a doubt the most painful bra I ever tried: the wires feel like they're stabbing me full force. I can't wear it because of this.

    32H

    Didn't fit

After much success with the Cleo Marcie, I decided that I needed some more "neutral" bras, so I decided to do some hunting. I have very full on top breasts, so I was recommended the Curvy Kate Emily. I had never tried anything by Curvy Kate before so I was excited to finally try it out.

Sizing/Fit (Band) - I measure about 31 inches around my underbust, so with bandsizes, I can easily go between 30 and 32 inch bands. On this one, I decided to go with the 32, that turned out to be perfect! It wasn't too tight in the slightest, yet it didn't ride up. ...

Sizing/Fit (Cup) - I had heard from a few other reviews that many Curvy Kate unpadded bras ran a little small, but I went ahead and ordered my usual size of 32H, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. I had no gaping at the top, yet no quadboob. The profile was nice and round, but not 'in your face' like many molded bras (at least for me). This bra seems pretty forgiving, so I would recommend this as a starter bra for the Curvy Kate brand. The only thing I would say about this bra problem wise is the wide underwires. My breast tissue ended way sooner than the underwires did, but it wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest.

Appearance/Comfort - This bra is beautiful. There have been a lot of complaints about this bra looking too 'mature' but I have to disagree. Even for my eighteen year old tastes. The embroidery is very detailed and I love the satin bows on the center and on each strap. The fabric is also very soft and breathable.

I can fasten this bra but it feels a tad too tight. Perhaps because it is black this is the case. I have it in lighter colours in the same size but have no issue fastening them. It's a really elegant bra but I have to use an extender for it to be comfortable. The band runs a little small.

    Didn't fit

I had such high hopes for this bra (the only Curvy Kate I really considered, I've had so much trouble with sizing), and I'm a little disappointed, I guess. I tried the 32H in a shop, but they didn't have the 32HH so I ordered it. It's quite pretty in a shockingly bright pink, but the straps are really far apart (and rather narrow), even on my wide shoulders. I'm not a small (wide shoulders, I'm pretty tall) so I wonder how that would work on a smaller woman. The wide gore coupled with the wide wires means it digs a into my armpits, and the cup doesn't have enough forward projection at the bottom, so I have a pretty bad "orange in a glass" effect there. The band is quite firm, which is good. I've looked at my options for altering this bra, and I've decided it's probably futile. Since I ended up not wearing it more than one day, I'll probably put it up on Bra swap or something.

This is the most supportive and comfiest bikini top I tried so far. Well done, Curvy Kate! I recommend it to all full-busted ladies who are looking for a supportive bikini top!
I got the advice to size up in the band and size down in the cups. I can confirm that the bra runs somewhat big in the cups. (I need a 32K in CK bras) The band is quite firm. I'm impressed by how comfy this Bikini top is and how supportive. Having tried some Panache bikinis I thought that it is not possible to feel supported in a bikini. The center gore is quite low, ... which looks good in a bikini (you don't want it to look like a full-cup ) however since my boobs are soft and center heavy, the gore does not lie completely flat and I get some slight overspill when I move around.
I'm not so picky when it comes to bikinis as I would be with a bra so I just go along with these minor issues.
Another note: If you buy the matching briefs - don't size up, they run big!

    30E

    Fits

What a pretty bra! I have this in Teal/Gold and pictures don't really do it justice! The whole bra is made of sheer mesh with gold details and ribbons! I got this in 30E as it was on sale and I was wondering if 30E would feel more comfortable than 28F. I guess 28F would be a better fit for me as the band is slightly loose. It doesn't feel looser than a Freya 28 band though!

The centre gore digs in slightly, even more than my 28F Curvy Kate Emily (CK5001) that felt quite comfortable even with a tighter band. I have bent the ... wires and now they conform to my shape and doesn't hurt.

The ribbons at the top of the cups also seem to dig in a little giving a slight quad boob even though there was some space at the tops of the cups. Going down a cup size meant the wires were sitting on my breast tissue and I got quadboobs.

I would keep this bra though. Despite some minor issues, it's still not a bad fit.

Note: Fit is set for when bra is hooked on tightest setting and with 'altered' underwires.

Just picked up this bra because I noticed that the Curvy Kate Elegance (CK1401) that I have in 28E was starting to be too small. I put this one on and it fits perfectly, just as nicely as the Elegance first did. Definitely happy with this bra!

This bra is too small for me--I get the "orange in a glass" effect. Padded Curvy Kates run smaller than their unpadded versions.

The material feels nice and the padding is soft and comfortable against the skin.

I don't know why this bra gets so much hate for being ugly, I think it looks nice. Simple and basic with just a touch of contrast to keep it from being boring. I like the gray accents and the flat bows. Don't get me wrong, I love my bright colors and fun prints, but so many bras are overly feminine it's nice to have something different!

  14. Emily Balcony Bra (CK5001)

I was surprised to find this was a snug band, after the super stretchy Princess. I was also really pleased that the shape I get is very rounded. Not at all like the square-boob i get with Princess. Not orb-round ala Panache, but a really nice, lifted rounded shape that is somewhere in between that & the pointy Freya shape, leaning more toward Panache. If that makes any sense.

I have the navy & blush color way & it is very elegant; a great alternative to the same old black bra. I found this very comfy to wear all day at work, on par with my go-to Freya Jolie, perhaps even a smidge comfier. I'm glad I didn't give up on Curvy Kate, though I don't think it's worth full retail US price. I bought mine for $25 via belle-lingerie on eBay. That's where I seem to end up finding a lot of my UK bras. BraStop hasn't had much in my size lately.

Perhaps it would have worked better for me if I didn't size a cup larger, but this bra is wrong for my shape anyway. Read on a couple of reviews to size up in the cup, but honestly if you are very full-on-bottom like me, I don't think it would work! Read on some bra blogs that there is a big size discrepancy between 28F and 28FF. The cup was too open on top for my shape, which caused a lot of gaping. I did fill the bottom okay though. Wires were also too wide. Strap seperation too wide for me and rubbed against my armpits. This bra gave me a really weird, flattened out shape.

I also don't like the materials that this bra is made out of, they feel quite cheap. Simply not the most comfortable fabric.

I'm really hoping this bra works for me in the next cup up. The fabric is so smooth that this thing is a dream to wear, and it looks like it would be a great t-shirt bra--no lace or other details to show through thin fabric. Unfortunately, it's a bit small for me (gore doesn't quite tack, spilling out of the cups), but it seems to fit true to size.

It gives great lift and shape to my very soft, very pendulous boobs.

  17. Tease Me Padded Bra (SG2001)

I think I am almost ready to throw in the towel when it comes to Curvy Kate's Showgirls line. First, my boobs are too wide apart and the cups are too shallow in the Tempt Me, then my nipples practically fall out of the Elegance, and now… this.

The Tease Me [showgirl Collection] itself is quite lovely but not my usual style, what with the bows and ribbon and things. The fabric is soft yet supportive. I was worried that the lace and stuff would be scratchy. I'm not sure what clothing I would normally wear this bra under, ... definitely nothing tight at the top, because the ribbons make for lumps under fabric. I wore it all day under a loose fitting shirt.

The bra itself is mostly comfortable. I say "mostly" because while the underwires themselves don't dig in to my armpits, they pretty much end right at the armpits, but then there's these twee bows right at the end of the underwires and guess where THEY go. So if I decide to keep the Tease Me, those things will be snipped right off. The band is a little on the stretchy side. The gore comes dangerously close to being higher than I like. The wires do encircle the shape of my whole breast, though. If my torso was any shorter, the Tease Me would not work at all. I feel like it, just like the others I've tried from the Showgirls line, is made for someone with a longer torso. But, overall comfort is good. I took a nap in it, and I didn't want to rip it off by the end of the day.

The Tease Me likes to take my boobs and lift them upwards. It doesn't push them towards the center, if anything, they are still set wide, just shoved upwards in an almost impressive display: "Here they are, my boobs". Like, I could take a brush in Photoshop and paint a perfect circle around each boob in my photo of the front view. But from the side? This is where it looks like to me that the bra is actually also pushing my breasts inward, causing the profile to be a bit... off. So I'm thinking the Tease Me is a tad too shallow and wide for me.

Basically, the Tease Me turns my rack into a rectangle with two half circles on top. Imagine a "B" that was been turned 90º counter-clockwise and ta-da, those are my boobs.

Maybe I will be a glutton for punishment and continue my hunt for the Thrill Me [showgirl Collection] -- maybe it's a good thing I can't find it in my size lol.

    32GG

    Didn't fit

Knowing that they are discontinuing all the styles using this base, I wanted a few to replace my too small but much beloved gold Tempt Me. So, I tried this colorway twice. Once I got what I suspect was a manufacturer's defect, and then I got this one, which was more on par for what I expected.

    Pros:
Pushup for those of us who aren't B cups (and I need it cuz my boobs HATE each other)!
    Comfortable*
    Has 3 Hooks (in GG+)
Low center gore for us petite and prominent sternum types (I'm both).
    Pretty color combinations.

    Cons:
    * Earlier I said it was comfortable, and this is true...to an extent. If you are of ... the narrow shoulder, narrow chest variety (if I measure from armpit to armpit across my chest I'm just a smidge under 12" wide--that's 30cm for you metric gals) you will HATE this bra. The straps will start under your armpit and will try to twist out of it--it's hard to describe, but you'll know it if you have it. Other than that, the bra is comfortable.

The construction quality on this style is kind of all over the map, though definitely hanging out more in the "not exactly excellent" camp. There's been snags in the lace, loose threads, etc. on every single one of these that I've ordered, and I've ordered 4 or maybe even 5 now I think. Even that beloved gold one has it, but I overlooked it because it doesn't really affect wearability, it's just a nitpick that bugs me as a seamstress. There may also be some issues with some of them getting the sizing mislabeled, but I would suspect that this is an issue that will be very unlikely for you to encounter.

I also have a bit of that "orange in a glass" effect that I didn't really understand until now, but I could (and would!) have ignored it if it weren't for the straps being set impossibly wide. I hope that helps!

I don't know how they did it, but they took an adorable bra and made it into a boob-flattening bra of despair. I realize I'm not the bustiest gal out there, but this bra made my boobs look practically non-existent. If you are looking to minimize your assets though, this might just be the bra you are looking for.

    Pros:
Comfortable (seriously, I could have probably slept in this thing if I cut the straps off and got a bigger cup size).
Straps look to be easy to move in if they are too wide set
Nice stretchy band (this could go either way, depending on your personal preference--personally I love breathing ... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> )
    Pretty*

    Cons:
*This bra's appearance made me think of an old school corset, missing only the heaving bosoms (which I hoped to provide). This, sadly, is deceiving. Even my not-terribly-observant husband was like "where'd your boobs go?" And I had no answer...maybe it's a magical boob-eating vortex in there or a pair of tiny magicians, I don't know. Fortunately it's not a permanent disappearing act.

For me, the straps were too wide set, so narrow shoulder/chest ladies be forewarned. However!!! It looks like it should be easy to move the straps inward to make them more comfortable, but you'll likely lose whatever lift you may have gotten (assuming you had any left after the vortex got done with you).

I'd say that you'll need to size up at least one cup size in this one. I haven't had as much trouble with needing to size up in the showgirl collection as others, but this one was most assuredly too small in the cup, but in an odd way. I had a pretty minor amount of quad-boob, but the center gore wouldn't even come close to laying flat...perhaps the cups were angled wrong for my shape? My boobs are very close-set at the root, but quickly head east/west after that, and I think the wires were too far apart at the bottom of the gore, even though they were fine at the top. As a reference, I generally prefer as deep of a plunge as possible, and the wires still need to be fairly close together on the plunge bras.

    44FF

    Didn't fit

While this is a vast improvement from my ill-sized department store bras (42DD's) I still don't think I have the right size yet. I was able to try on the Emily in a 44DD, E, F, FF and G cup and I settled on buying the 44FF. I'm at the stage where I NEED new bras and I will wear it, but it's uncomfortable.

The 44G was probably better, but not by much, and I had to tighten the straps a lot as there was just way too much upper chest coverage. The 44FF quad-boobs on me a liiiiiiiittle bit, which I didn't notice when I tried it ... on the first time. It's not so much as a full on bump or that it's digging in, but where the lace is denser it doesn't have as much give as the outer edge, so I have a bit of a ski jump going on there.

Also, my boobs are trying to turn a corner at the side where the underwires sit against my chest/underarm- so I don't think the wires are wide enough? They also like to jab my side boob or underarm fat when I bend over to pick stuff up.

The centre goes DOES lay flat (that's a huge achievement for me, so yay!) but I can't lay down in the bra. The centre gore where the wires are feels like it's pinning me to the bed. So much tension!

I've had it for a week and have been hand washing it in the sink while I shower and I've noticed the straps are starting to curl. I might whack it in the normal wash with my old bras and see if the extra agitation snaps it back into shape.
