I WANTED to love this bra. But sadly, I think my breasts just can't do a molded cup at this size. I am very projected with immediate projection. Evenly full on the top and bottom, somewhat center full, pendulous, very wide root, tall roots, close-set, breastfed one child, and I'm 5'1" 180 pounds. There was gapping at the top and bottom of the cup even though my nipple area was being kind of squashed so I felt unsupported. I thought maybe I could get away with it, but as you can see with a tight cami on, the top wrinkles show right through and overall the bra can't ...hoist me up enough to give me a nice rounded shape, instead giving me a pretty unattractive slope. That's NOT my idea of a good look.
Back when I was a 30G, the Freya Deco was my favorite bra. I was so excited to find this lookalike in my size. And it reminds me SO MUCH OF my beloved Deco. It's plain enough for every day but the little ribbon detail on the outside (where it does not come into contact with skin-genius!), the little polka dot bows, the J hook, the overall comfiness and versatility make this bra attractive as well. It's also super comfy. I love how once you're in it, nothing really rubbed or poked. It just feels like a very easy-going bra, if that makes any sense.
It's so nice I may keep playing with sizes to get a good fit because it's SO nice to have a basic seamless bra to go with everything, but I can't really see this one being a winner for my current shape. Read more 172 more words
Not the right fit for me. Love this Elomi bra, it's my favorite I've tried so far, but it's still not the right size for me. Compared to the Elomi Cate, I would say this one is better for petite women and/or close set breasts. I'll keep trying to find the right size because this is my pick for a great basic every day bra.
Pros: *Shaping is phenomenal putting my breasts up front and center *Elastic lace on the top inner cup is a great touch to help smooth and accommodate fullness fluctuations between left and right and time of the month *The fabric feels really smooth and silky *The boning goes wide enough to encapsulate my root *Lower gore means not stabbing into my close set breasts *Cups felt pretty deep
Cons: *Straps felt a little scratchy at first, but could soften with wear *Ugly geometric print *Band rode up in the back (obviously a size issue for me) *Wires at tip of gore could use more padding
This bra looks and feels very luxurious. Interestingly the cup is not all made from spacer fabric, the "side sling" portion is a non-stretch fabric. The cups are very tall and give a minimised look, quite east-west.
This particular size is too small, the gore doesn’t tack. The pictures look better than how it really fit—I ended up doing some adjustments and it had me quadding on my larger side. I think Matilda may be a shape mismatch for me now.
This bra looks amazing, it’s so comfy, and I love the color and lace! Unfortunately, there isn’t enough room for my boobs, so I’d have to size up a few sizes and then the wires will be around my back. So, bummer.
It’s that great Elomi quality and appearance. Very comfortable! It’s banded, too, which I love.
I personally think it looks great on me besides the gore not tacking.
The one thing I could go without is the window in the gore, I’m not a huge fan of that aesthetic.
This is my 6th? Elomi Morgan I’ve tried. The wires are a great width, the depth ratio seems right, but somehow this bra still doesn’t work out.
I must have massively heavy boobs or something because they push EVERY bra down! This one fit pretty okay until I do a lot of movement and bounce a little bit. After that happens, my boobs push the bottom down and try to escape out the top. The gore is 2 fingers width away from my sternum and if I tack it, I quad really bad.
In terms of quality/comfort/etc...Elomi’s bras are top quality, there’s no doubt about that. Morgan is the most comfortable Elomi bra I’ve ever tried, I think. I’m not fond of this color/pattern, so I’m meh on appearance for this one.
Hmm, so this is usually how bras fit me when they're one size too big. It's like the wire is slightly too big, so the whole bra is sliding down, and it acts too small when there's actually a little room. Your breasts could be denser than mine, so sizing down might not work. But with the torpedo shape this bra is giving you plus the little bit of extra width it has, I'm wondering if getting the wire snugger around your roots would make it fit despite less volume in the actual cup? Elomi runs so big, too.
pretty_promise I love the way you describe the fit issue that I usually have- during the day the bra gets pushed down and so I get quadding AND wrinkling. Super frustrating. I would say so far the Elomi Kim has been my best find for this, but it still has this issue. Please let me know when you find a bra that does not do this, and I will do the same! :-)
I have this in 38GG and thought 36HH would be my perfect fit. Boy was I wrong! This is comically huge on me. It fits me like a 38J. I should have gotten it in a 34H or 34HH for sure!
This is a well-constructed bra, but it appears to be too big for me. I thought it was too small, but now that I better understand bra fit, I realize it is so snug at the top because it is too big and low at the bottom It might fit better in a 36G or 36GG, but I think it also just be too shallow of a style for my shape.
This model definitely runs very big! My ABTF calculator size is 36J, but I fit 36HH best in Panache and 36H in Elomi. This is a 34GG, equivalent to a 36G! That’s five sizes under my calculator size!
The wires are wide but short, and the cup runs very full. This is a good bra to get if you’re struggling with lack of projection, short or high set roots, omega shape, etc. Get it one to three sizes under your calculator size and work from there. I also have it in my calculator size in 36J - Elomi » Lydia Bandless Bra (EL4390) for comparison. Although that one is too big and extremely wide, it’s still extremely comfortable and stays on me well, especially when J hooked. I plan to try this model in 36GG and 36H soon.
This is another one of my best fits! It's not quite perfect, but most bras are way further off. I'm normally a 36HH/J or 34J/JJ by the ABTF calculator. I'm close-set, inner-full, extremely projected, FOB but functionally even due to being high set, omega shaped, and narrow (but not quite Polish narrow!). I've been wearing the "right size" bra (34G+) since I was in my late teens, but never in the right shape (unsurprisingly).
All that to say, this is one of the best off-the-rack fits I'll probably ever find, in England or Poland or anywhere else. I probably should have got it in 36HH like the ... class="mentioned-item">36HH - Elomi » Etta Bandless Bra (8840), because it's slightly roomy, and the wire is slightly wide at the bottom. But even so, it's extremely comfortable! The wires are flexible yet supportive.
Overall, it's a pretty decent fit! And that is very hard for me to come by, so I'll take it. It looks decent unhooked, but it goes next level when hooked—every wrinkle filled, just two perfectly lifted cakes on a plate. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Read more 81 more words
Update 2: So it turns out I'm also high-set and omega-shaped (which is also a vertical trait!). Apparently this bra was too big and low-set for me, and that's why the wire slipped down. It's pretty comfortable even being too big, but it's not the most, uh, modest to wear as a teacher. I had much better luck with the shorter Elomi Lydia Bandless Bra (EL4390) and 36HH - Elomi » Etta Bandless Bra (8840). The 36HH - Elomi » Carmen Plunge Bra (4010) is also good, but a little snugger and definitely not good for FOT or possibly even shapes! ...
Update 1: after wearing this a few more times all day, I’m less enthusiastic about the fit. The immediate projection isn’t quite enough, so the underwires slip down a lot and I have to make frequent bathroom trips to scoop, swoop, and shimmy. It’s still very comfortable and fits better than most bras I’ve tried, but it’s not as good as I hoped. The fit and material are fairly similar to the Elomi Mia, though this fits me a bit better. I’m still on the hunt for a bra that 100% fits!
This is probably the most comfortable bra I have tried on yet! And it fits just about perfectly, too, even on my ultra close-set gore area! The fit feels extremely similar to the 36J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) except without the outer upper cup wrinkling and gapping—succsss!!! Like the Tia, the gore tacks perfectly (maybe even better) and the wire marks after removing it hit exactly where my underarm mammary tissue sits. And seriously, even sitting, it's incredibly comfortable.
The fit is also very similar to my 38GG - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) and 36J - Elomi » Eugenie Plunge (EL4470) bras, but with a much narrower gore. I'm not sure the wires are actually any narrower than either, but they sit perfectly where they are because the gore is in the right place. Words can't express how nice it is to have the gore and outer wires in the right place! The fabric isn't soft, but it's a supportive satin-type material that reminds me a lot of the Elomi Energise Underwire Sports (8040) . It's just a boring, serviceable, comfortable black bra, but the lace trim is a nice detail. It provides a decent shape and a good amount of support, again similar to the Eugenie. I think it might make me a smidge rounder than the Eugenie, but I haven't compared.
The one thing I'm not sure about with this bra is whether it has quite enough immediate projection. It seemed good while standing and walking around, but the wires slipped down a bit while I was sitting slouched just before taking it off, so the marks were about an inch under my IMF. I'll have to try it again later. Read more 387 more words
The gore and wires tack a lot better in the 36J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) even though the cup is a lot bigger. I think maybe I just need all the projection of the bigger cup to make it sit right. Otherwise, the fit is similar but less dramatically oversized on top and the outside.
Update: I had my usual trouble with this bra's wire slipping down. This was the bra that helped me find out I'm not just close-set, but also high-set and omega-shaped! With being high-set, FOB, ultra-projected, *and* omega, I had a really hard time understanding whether a bra fit me or not. I'm used to bras being too small for me (or for my shape?) It turns out this bra is way too big for me in 36J, even though it seemed to fit right when I first put it on without knowing how a bra should fit underneath. I probably should have bought it in 36HH or even ...36H.
I purchased this bra used/non-returnable in 36J (UK) a week or two ago, before I had found any bras that fit. I found an amazing Elomi bra in in the same frame (38GG - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) in 38GG yesterday, and I also tried the 36J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) and it was gaping at the top, so I was really nervous the Eugenie would be too big. This bra is apparently based on Matilda, Sachi, and Soraya. As I said in my Matilda review, though, I think it would be just a bit better for me in 36HH instead of 38GG. So I was expecting the Eugenie to maybe be one cup size too big. But it arrived today, and...
It FITS!!! In fact, this is probably the best fit of any bra I've tried in my life, and I've tried a lot.
I've had a really hard time finding bras that fit my shape, despite knowing my size. My breasts are full on bottom, fairly close set, slightly center full, and average or just slightly narrow roots. Re: root width, the actual width of the wires is rarely the problem, but being close-set/center-full means I need the wire less far back under my armpit, if that makes sense. I've found that wire width tells me less about how the bra will fit me than wire width + gore width. I also need a lot of projection, preferably a lot of it immediate.
As expected, the Eugenie's gore is slightly too wide, skewing the wires under my armpits slightly too far/wide. However, I'm planning to narrow my center gore, so that should have the side benefit of also pulling the wires closer to where my breast tissue actually ends. I think once I do that, it will be 100% perfect for me. I'm excited to see how it fits once I modify the center gore!
Even with those minor annoyances and a slightly snug 36 inch band, this bra fits me like a glove. I've tried on So. Many. Bras (both in my life and recently). Most bras, I put them on and it's like, "Well, it's not the worst bra I've ever put on, I guess? Things are more or less where they should go?" but every once in a blue moon I put one on and I'm like "Oh! It fits!" The Matilda 38GG I tried was pretty close, but the Eugenie finally hit that spot! There was no awkward gaping at the top, no wrinkling at the bottom, no pushing the wires down because of lack of projection.
Also, it looks really hot. It's by far the prettiest bra I've ever owned, and it looks like it'll match my strappy magenta Cacique underwear perfectly. The top straps are really fun and sexy, but they don't look scandalous under my casual work dresses, just like maybe I'm wearing a camisole. The embroidery is lovely but doesn't show under my dresses at all. IMO, the fabric of the Eugenie is a lot smoother and softer than the Matilda, which has kind of a stiff crinoline type of lace feel (which I assume will soften up after washing a few times). I haven't yet worn it for a full day, but it feels really good both in terms of fit and material.
If you like the Matilda but want a little more support and coverage, or if the Tia was really close to fitting but had too much gaping at the top upper corner, give the Eugenie a try. I believe the Sachi and Soraya should be nearly identical if you don't like the Eugenie's style, but I haven't personally tried them yet. Read more 619 more words
I'm not sure who this bra would actually fit. Maybe someone slightly shallower and wider, or more even all over? I am FOB and inner-full with average to slightly narrow roots. I normally wear a 36J in Elomi, sometimes 36HH, and the 34JJ is a little tight in the band (the center gore even digs in to me, ouch) and pretty big in the cup, but also lacking the immediate projection I need.
It's supposed to be one of the narrowest gores and wires Elomi makes, but that's definitely not the case for me. For contrast, the 34JJ - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110) fit me just about perfectly. I thought these bras were the same cut, but definitely not. I tried it with an extender, but then the cups just got comically huge on me.
I normally wear a 36HH or 36J in Elomi, but this 34JJ is just about perfect. It doesn't have quite enough immediate projection for my FOB breasts, but the wrinkling is minimal compared to most and it does sit snugly in my IMF. Width is perfect under my arms. Gore is just slightly wide for my close-set breasts, but not enough to cause problems. There's also a very slight amount of wrinkling along the outer sides of the cups, but minimal compared to some Elomis like the 36J - Elomi » Mia Plunge Bra (EL4361).
It's a fairly boring bra in the nude colorway, and I don't love the camo pattern, but the pictures don't make it so obvious there are some pretty details on it such as the stretch lace at the top and the little bows on the straps. It's fine, but definitely not a sexy bra. It's not perfect, but it's definitely one of my best fits yet.
This bra runs very similarly to the Matilda and Soraya/Sachi/Eugenie. The nude colorway is very boring and plain, but that's fine. The material is a thick and not very stretchy sports-bra like material (similar to the Elomi Energise Underwire Sports (8040) ) which makes the fit less perfect than the Eugenie or Matilda, IMO. The gore is low and fairly narrow, in fact nearly perfect between my close-set breasts, and the wires sit fairly close to my IMF and the sides of my (average to narrow) outer width.
The main issue with this bra for me is the wrinkling along the outsides. In a pinch, I could ...definitely wear this bra under clothing. It works decently for my immediate projection needs, but I'm not outer-full enough to fill the sides.
I think the 36J - Elomi » Eugenie Plunge (EL4470) and 38GG - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) fit a little more nicely due to the stretch in the cups, but this one would be decent for someone who wants a little more support than the Matilda and who is even-full or outer-full. The band is very true to size, a snug 36 that fits my 35.5 inch snug underbust measurements perfectly. Overall it's really good, but the Matilda is just a little better. That said, it's a lot more comfortable than the Matilda, as the stretchy mesh can get uncomfortable around my IMF after sitting a while. Read more 138 more words
I have gained weight, and ofcourse my boobs joined this trend. I used to wear Primadonna, but their models mostly don't have a eu J cup (uk GG), so I went looking elsewhere. And Elomi is my new love. Better in price, good in quality and fit. No more quadriboobs, jay! This strapless bra is allright for me, but not as a strapless bra. Without it straps the cups form odd, they misshape too much to the side. With the straps, it is brilliant. The options to play with the straps is nice too. Front and back there are 2 loops (so 4 in total) to put the hooks in, and the racerback cross-over makes this very versatile. Note: if you wear them racerback, the straps are quite short, but I am going to make or buy other straps for this. I am very happy with this bra.
This is by far the best-fitting gore/underwire experience of my life! Unfortunately, it didn't fit quite right in the rest of the bra. I'm a little too inner-full for it, so I had wrinkling and lots of weird empty space up in the top outer corners of the cups, just past the bra strap. I think the bandless shape really did a lot to make it more comfortable and help the gore lie completely flush no matter what weird slouch I did. It was also still pretty wide in the gore, alas, so I haven't bought another one. I'm really tempted to try another size, though! That black lacy pattern was really gorgeous, too.
