This was my first strapless bra. I bought it not because of that, but because I could adjust the straps as a racerback.
The straps were a bit tight crossed in the back and too thin for my size. As a strapless, it was supportive and didn't move.
The band was a bit tight for me, but I eventually found out all Elomi bras are tight on me comparing, for instance, with Sculptresse.
The biggest issue were the cups. The molded cups were too big for me. There wasn't a gap on the top, but I definitely wasn't filling the cups fully. The molded shape was the wrong for me, making my breasts look extremely pointy.
It was my first attempt at purchasing the right size bra for me, and the ABTF calculator gave me the size 44E. Someone told me that Elomi bras were very stretchy, so I sized the band down to the 42FF. Big mistake.
The cups were perfect, but I could only wear it with TWO extenders, and the straps were digging so much into my shoulders it was hard to move (using the J-hook, as I always do). Without the J-hook, the straps were barely loose at their longest setting.
The fabric was uncomfortable for me, not as much in the cups as it was in my ...underarm. Too scratchy. I could also hear the strap rings squeaking.
Overall, it looked great in the mirror, it didn't look brilliant up close, and it was an uncomfortable hell. I haven't had the guts to order a new Matilda (because I actually liked the fit of the cups and its look) because I'm unsure of the size fit of the 44E. My other Elomi 44Es are a bit tight too. This bra is my second best fit so far, the first being the Sculptresse Roxie plunge bra in the same size (44E). The band is a bit tight, too tight for a 44 but maybe a 46 would be too large. The straps are also tight using the J-hook, but not extremely uncomfortable. I have a harder time adjusting it than I do with my other bras, but once adjust it's comfortable. I find the fabric a bit scratchy, but all Elomi bras I tried on feel like that, and this is definitely not the worst. Out of the 3 different models of Elomi bras I ordered (Charley, Carmen and Mitzi), this was the one I kept.
The Elomi Energise 42 FF(UK) fits and feels firm (as sports bras tend to) but fine. The size of the cups is too small as there is a little spillage out the top of the front and the sides under the arms. Beggars cant be choosy and I have not found a more supportive bra in a band size bigger than 42FF. I am always looking though , so will take any suggestions offered. Still with the extra material and support, it holds everything in better than a regular bra, and my solution is to double up with a second bra. I pair it with a Goddess sports bra (5056) which covers the spillage and flattens everything into a secure package. It does not remove all the bounce, but it does reduce it, so I don't get whiplash during an aerobics class. As I said if there are any suggestions for alternatives that have worked, I am open to hearing about them.
I wear an Enell custom fit (larger cups in front, smaller band in back). Total lockdown. Custom is more expensive but not punatively so, definitely worth owning
Band: Band is to big and rides up at back a lot, as well as roles up upon itself along the back. Gore: Does not lie flat. In fact it sticks out at the top and leans to the right in a way that makes it seem as if it becomes part of the right hand cup which is the cup around my smaller breast. It touches at the bottom. Cups: There is a gap between the apex of the strap/top part of the bra and the breasts. This is a large gap on the smaller breast, and a much smaller one on the larger breast. Some of ...the material on the bottom and sides of the both cups are resting on rib cage, instead of holding breast tissue. Underwire: It lies flat against my rib cage, but well under my breasts, the gap getting wider the farther away from the center of the bra. The wires are larger than my roots, and higher then I would like under the armpits. They can poke into my flesh there. Straps: fine, maybe a little loose on smaller breast, but that might just be the gap due to the large cup in relation to my breast size. Read more 97 more words
This is what I would consider to be an ideal T-shirt bra, but unfortunately, it's just too large, especially in the cups. There's a lot of wrinkling in the upper corner where the bra straps attach.
This bra is my first well-fitting bra so I have a lot to learn.
I've been wearing 38G (16G in Aus) moulded bras for quite a while. They obviously didn't fit well, but I enjoyed the perfectly rounded side profile shape.
This bra fits me lovely but I don't think it suits my shape. It's a little bulgey in the middle for my close (touching) set breasts (and going up a cup size wouldn't help this as then I'd have wrinkling and empty space in the cups).
It also gives a very artificial, slightly pointy shape. It's rounded and smooth but the apex is more pointed than perfectly round. ...I do really prefer a perfectly round, almost ball-like shape. I think large breasts deserve to be shaped well.
It is also rather separating which doesn't help my close-set bust. Looking down, my apexes are pointing about 135 degrees from one another (if you were to draw a line from one apex to the gore and then to the other apex, it's about 135 degrees). I really prefer a projected cup, where this is more like 90 degrees.

Fit well. The gore was slightly to wide but not enough to cause any major fit issues. The underwire is pretty flexible so the cups are wider when worn then when measured.
Almost fit. The gore was to short for me and the underwire poked in the armpit. The underwire is also quite flexible so the cups are much wider when worn then measured.
This particular Caitlyn was purchased in the summer of 2014 and was approximately the 10th one I had. Until I discovered Bratabase and Bravissimo, I had come to the conclusion that the Caitlyn was the only bra I could comfortably wear. The Caitlyn's would not last long for me as they would stretch out and become unwearable after a year of use. They were certainly a significant upgrade on the Elila 1305s I wore for the previous 5-10 years but both are a distant memory for me. The wires on the Caitlyn are close to an inch longer than my Alana's and combined with the extra 2 inches of band length, the wires end way too far back. I have the Caitlyn in Raspberry as well and those wires are almost 19.5 inches long. I thought about returning the Raspberry bra but convinced myself not to, thinking I will just grow into it. I also found this bra to give me the most east/west look I have ever had. Thank god I discovered Bravissimo.
I wore this Caitlyn almost a year ago but forgot to report that experience here.
This was the most east west look I ever had in a bra and I was way more pointy looking than I remember when this was in my rotation. I guess my many Bravissimo bras have spoiled me as they are all excellent in putting everything front and center which gives me a narrower profile.
Doesn’t quite fit but still very comfortable. Underwire are pretty flexible so cup width when worn is a lot wider then measured. Will probably keep anyway.
This bra is a little small for me, both in terms of cup size ( a little quad boobage), and in terms of band (I'm using an extender). I still really like it, but the band and other edges are a little scratchy, and the cups are too shallow, so they crease at the bottom. Surprisingly though, the gore sits flat and is really comfortable. I have never experienced that before https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />.
Update 06/2020: Lost weight, and also the band has stretched. Band fits perfectly now.
This bra fits great. I own it in two colors. The pattern and the flowers are cute. It fits very similar to my elomi valentina. My only complaint is the fabric choice- It is a little scratchy. I wear it less often because of that.
Closest to fitting I have gotten. Only problem was the digging in the armpit area caused by the straps being to far apart and the gore being a little to short to be comfortable.
Mine says Navy Geo El8042 No Padding (so already a no from me, personally. Missed that when ordering) Wires are far too wide, they probably would fall off the side of my torso if the band didnt keep them wrapped around my side. There's like 3-4 finger's width between the wire and the root of my tissue. Placement isnt super irritating, except where the bottom outside is sort of jabbing into my side. Since this is still my cupsize volume- the tissue is fighting the middle a lot and top of the bra quite a bit. it also still feeling like my tissue is being pushed under my arms ...somewhat. I would probably be ok working out in this aside from the wires and too much center compression. (I feel like Im working out pushing back against that) The gore seems ok? hard to tell with the rest that's happening like the top of the neckline almost being flipped outward from the stress. Not for me. Weird cause the Elomi Cate in a 34H was something that actually seemed to fit before (besides me not likeing un padded/moulded stuff)- maybe I know more about a proper fit now? Fit/fabric/quality seem ok otherwise Read more 92 more words
This bra is so cute and sexy! It's the Charley with a loose longline cami piece extending from the band. I did have to size up from my usual cup size 38GG to 38H. Ideally, I probably would go up one more cup size and down to a 36 band. As-is the cup is ever so slightly too shallow at the top for my full-on-top breasts and too shallow at the wire, so there is wrinkling and the cami portion is quite loose, even with the 5 hooks hooked in a V (loosest at the top of the band and tightest at the bottom of the longline lace). This is a fun bra that fits okay but looks great under a sheer top.
The cup is too small and shallow. It gives me some significant quadboob at this size, even the stretchy lace, isn't enough to enclose the top of the breast.
