The Meredith bra is similar in cut to the 32J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) but with a full band. I don't own a black bra that fits me currently so I was curious about this new style. I can say that it fits me better than the Tia bra but the issues here are similar it's just not as bad. The wires are too wide and they stretchy quite a bit because they are softer than on some other Elomi bras I tried. This is not good for me. I don't get any side gaping in this bra just a little bit of ...wrinkling. It is also not as tall as the Tia. I like the stretchy lace on the cups in this bra. It does not cut in and fits nicely. Honestly from the front it looks quite good…
In terms of support, I think that Elomi bras are always very supportive. The materials are high quality and sturdy. But with this bra the support was lacking a bit (I imagine that it will feel more supportive if the wires would be at a better position) and I'm sure this bra could so much more if it wasn't incompatible with my shape. I think that 32HH could be a bit small, it would depend how much extra room the stretchy lace allows. I don't think that I less space at the front, it's just fine but I need less width at the sides. I don't think I could go any smaller than 32HH.
This was much more pointy than the 40J - Elomi » Energise Uw Sports Bra With J Hook (8041) but I’m not sure if that is because the bra is too small or if this colorway is older and slightly different. I’m kind of mad there is no 42HH in this bra- it makes no sense that there is a 42H and a 40J but no 42HH! Who thought that was a good idea?!?!
I might wear the 40J with an extender because I need a sports bra and this is the closest to fitting I can find.
This is my favorite swim top. While the fit is a little off (mostly because of the wire shape I think), once I’m in the water it’s very supportive and containing- great for lap swimming! I love love love the print which features flowers, pineapples, and watermelons. Fun! Goes great with a pair of aqua briefs I already own.
This is a beautiful bra for petite full bust and plus folks. At first, I believed this bra didn’t fit. The flexible wires pulled too wide (although these snap back into shape unlike the majority of Elomi wires). This led to slight cutting in/ flattening and the gore twisting. However, once I replaced the wires with firm Panache wires these problems went away for the most part (the gore still slightly twists, likely because the gore hits me higher than most of my bras and at the top my breast tissue is firm and touches). The wires are blessedly short at the sides, ...allowing my arms to move without hitting the wire and causing range of motion issues. The straps, thick stretch smooth elastic, are also set more narrowly so they don’t slip off. They are longer to accommodate a racer back hook.
The cup is all nonstretch and is lined in beige cup lining under the lace. There is slight elastic on the edge but very slight. The fabric is all very lightweight and breathable. It’s honestly so nice to wear on hot days- much cooler due to the cut out gore, lightweight fabrics, and open weave mesh band. The deco charm in the center is gorgeous and unusual.
With the new wires the shape is natural but softer. The lace does shoe under some shirts but this is my only black bra so I will take it.
With the Panache wires I wore this bra all day and didn’t feel the need to take it off. No shoulder or back pain, less sweating. The perfect summer bra for plus petite full figures. Read more 178 more words
*this bra came to me new but I believe it was a previously worn and returned bra. Both the band and the wires seem stretched, indicating they were worn by someone who needed a much bigger band.
This is a Soraya clone without the strapping. With the wires the way they are it’s impossible to address the fit. I’ll replace the wires and see how that helps.
Edit: with wires that aren’t bent way out, the fit is excellent and still low enough/smooth enough under the arm. The gore tacks. Wires do matter.
The pattern was my first thought about this bra, too. Lovely! I hope that replacing the wire is a good save for you.
I like this floral print. Is it the same cut as Matilda? Looks like it has the more flexible stretchy wires not the new "Panache style" wires ;/ Do you buy wires online for replacement or use those from old bras?
It’s a lot like Matilda but a bit more rounded. I think the wires are pretty stretchy. Lately I’ve been replacing wires with Panache wires from old bras.

I had put this bra in the return pile after initially trying it on. I put it on again to measure and take photos, and I developed a better appreciation. It's not the most comfortable of bras, but man, does it support my boobs! They have never been so still while I am walking around. The bottom cups are solid beige material with a black lace overlay with a pretty pattern. The tops of the cups are non-stretch sheer mesh, which also extends down in an arc to the gore. The wires on this one are much wider than the other Elomis I have tried (Morgan and Matilda), going beyond my tissue, and it gives a wider, less forward-facing shape. Great uplift, though! It stayed almost put in the 34 inch band, but it was just a little too tight for me and got to digging in after a few minutes. An extender might improve things.
This bra is so comfortable. The fabric is satiny and the bands and straps are lined with a felt-like material. It doesn't dig or poke anywhere. However, I have a problem with just about all the bras I have tried with them slipping down out of the IMF, and this one is no exception. The band is pretty stretchy. In fact, I started with a 36 inch band Morgan, but I have to wear it on the tightest hooks right out of the gate. This one I wear with an extender. The cups of the 34JJ fit much better and the gore tacks comfortably.
It makes a nice shape, not as east-west as some other Elomis, and pretty round. The stretch lace on top of the cup has a rim of elastic, which sits fine across the top of my breasts, but might cut in for someone fuller on top. I would like a little more uplift, especially on the sides - perhaps if it were a perfect fit. The seams show only slightly through t-shirts.
I got the chance to try a few Elomi bras with free shipping and return from a local online shop and this was available in my size. The Sachi is a Plunge bra based on Elomi Soraya. The cups are a 4 part construction with a side support panel and a sheer mesh top section with some fancy strappy details. The gore is about the same height as on the 32J - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) bra. The wires on this bra are really firm and sturdy, comparable to Bravissimo and Panache wires. This is a feature I love, because the usual soft Elomi ...wires don't offer enough support, distort easily and end up on my back. The band is firm and supportive and fits true to size for a 32 band.
How the bra fits me:
Sadly the biggest issue I had with this bra was the quadboob. The Fancy straps at the center just made it worse and cut into my breast tissue. Elomi Plunge bras are already a bit difficult on my soft full on top boobs, because they don't offer much space at the center and top of the cup and tend to cut in. Elomi in general just work better for a full on bottom shape. So these fancy straps that are quite tight but stretchy just make it worse. I thought about sizing up to a 32JJ and see what happens, but then I fear that there could be more wrinkling at the sides.
The wires on this 32J are just okay for me. If it weren't for the other issues I'd say it is tolerable. (note that most wires are too wide for me in my size as I need fairly narrow wires but deep cups) So for Elomi standards these wires are not very wide. Also since they are much more sturdy, they don't distort much. I feel very well supported by there wires alone. Overall I'm really impressed by this bra. The support is amazing and I think it would work best on slightly wide even full - full on bottom boobs.
The bra is overall not really my style so I'm not too sad that it doesn't work for me. The strappy detail is nice but I could do without it. (It did not look flattering on me because of the quadboob.) Maybe I will try a 32JJ in the future, but I want to focus on bras that are more likely to fit me first. Read more 311 more words
It looks like this bra provides nice lift and support, too bad the straps cut in!
Yes the lift and support is amazing on this bra. I felt like I'm wearing a Panache or Bravissimo bra! The wires weren't even that wide! (And that on an Elomi!) But it's not made with any fluffy center fullness in mind :( Or do I need to size up in cups?
I think Elomi bras are so pretty. Given how sturdy the wires are and how supportive you find them, its too bad the neither of them fit.
Onwards and upwards..
I love the look of this one. Sorry it didn't work for you.
~70J/32G ~65K/30GG, projected, bottom and center full, tall roots, avarage root width, soft tissue ----- The shape/cut of the Cups is a 10/10, it's perfect, at least when I use the J-Hooks, it's okay but a little too seperated without the racer-back. This bra really made me realize how the racer-back option improves the fit and support of any bra for me, it even looks better to me. The style of this bra is a clear "meh" to me, I don't love the dotty detail on the top of the cup, but I do love love love the deep blue colorway. The real issue with this bra is the wire, yet again. the fabric creases at the wire and the wire slides down and then sits about 2cm under IMF.
Is the wire actually uncomfortable, or is it just that you're noticing it's not in the usual place? If it causes no discomfort I would not worry about it. The fact that the shape is good for you is very encouraging. You might also check out alisa 's numerous reviews of Bravissimo, in this size range they also have taller-than-average cups.
I think the dots are darling! multiple shades of blue are so pretty together.
Sadly it's uncomfortable, and it get's increasingly uncomfy while wearing it, if I wear it for a day it leaves thick red marks exactly 2cm under imf. At this point the wire really is my fit issue nr.1, it's always the damn wire! Well, I got the Panache non-wired sports bra last week in 30G and it fits and is a clear improvement to what I was wearing before so I'm gonna life in it for now haha
Oh interesting - I always assumed Elomi's size range started at ~34 band! Also I didn't realize / never looked into their cupsize chart apparently.. so it's nice to see they offer sizes like 70J which would possibly fit me as well.
The deep blue color is great indeed - thanks for reviewing!
bubblegum they expanded the range to 32s pretty recently, in the last couple of years or so I think. Until then, you recall correctly, they started at 34. They are known for rather wide and tall wires due to their target market being the plus/full bust range rather than just full bust--but not everyone needs the narrow Polish wires so for some people this is a very good thing!
Is this a UK 32J or a EU 70J ? I just ask because I find that the measuements of cup depth are quite small for an UK 32J. I have one of these on it's way to me too. It's a very pretty color. I'm happy that Elomi does 32 bands now.
EU 70J, so according to the conversion chart I'm looking at a UK 32G. Yep, I'm happy they offer 32s now, even tho it's not a perfect fit - I haven't found a perfect comfortable fit yet and I'm not sure If I ever will, but if I had to wear any bra I'd probably go with an Elomi Plunge now
If it's a UK 32G you should add it here as a 32G not a 32J. I have a UK32J of this bra on it's way and it's labelled as a EU 70M. We add bras here in UK sizing if that is the main sizing a brand uses.
Ohh wait I thought I added it as a 70J, sorry :/
Ohh wait I thought I added it as a 70J, sorry :/
Update: I DID add it as „70J“, the size „32J“ was automatically added somehow but obviously a EU J is not a UK J! Tried to correct it and add the actuall UK size
Welcome to Bratabase! So happy you found a great fit with Elomi!
When you get a chance, please add the bra measurements to the database so it helps others. Also "bra only" photos are super helpful to many as well, even if you aren't comfortable with adding wearing bra photos. (Which is okay!) Every aspect added strengthens the site for all of us & future members. Thank you! :-)
This is a lovely fit for my daughter who is projected, evenly full, and has wider roots. She also tried it in 36E - Elomi » Amelia Spacer Moulded Bra (8740) which as too small. She is 12 and calls it an old lady bra, lol. I can attest that it is super soft.
I'll post more after I've worn this for a day or two.
I've been eyeing this bra recently. I ordered one online after the bra calculator estimated me as a 40GG, but I know it's going to be too big in the band now. I've gone bra shopping multiple times this week and finally came home with the 38H Matilda and a couple other bras. I ended up with the nude colorway. It's pretty in the nude, but I think the purple colorway is prettier.
The band runs big!! To give you an example, the other bras I got in 38I today are about 30 inches unstretched. This ...is 33. So this is more like a 40 band. Keep that in mind. It's a comfortable bra (most Elomi bras are great for all-day comfort in my experience). I will have to either wear this on a tighter hook or take in the band. For today, I'm trying it out on the 2nd hook with the knowledge that I'll have to shorten the band at some point.
It does give a rounded shape and I think I like this one better under clothes than I liked my Amelia Spacer bra, which minimized the boobs and pushed them to the sides. I think this one has more center projection than the Amelia did. It's prettier as well.
I don't fully fill the bottom of the cup due to the shape. My breasts are somewhat even. I thought they leaned a little toward Full-on-Bottom, but the salesgirl said they were Full-on-Top and that's why I had that tiny bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. I tend to wear balconettes and half-cups for the most part.
Update: After wearing it for a couple weeks, I find that band is a bit loose for me and that the wires at the gore press on me. I can't lay down in the bra, which is a problem I used to have with some Cleo bras which had narrow, high wires. I do still like the bra, but I may have to take in the band at some point.
I ordered this bra online, and unfortunately got the wrong cup size, so the cups are too small. Other than that, it's a great bra! The underwires don't poke me in the armpits, which is a problem I run into frequently. I bought the red color, which is super cute! The lace on top is stretchy, so even though the cups are too small, I don't have "quad-boob." I've already ordered what I hope is the right cup size, so we'll see how it fits when it arrives!
This is a taller, softer, better version of Elomi's Plunge with lace model. Great for average to tall roots. The gore is very narrow at top and bottom. The back band has a lace overlay which is pretty and also collects a lot of back fat near the armpit. The wide black part of the band is not a wide elastic but just a pretty feature. There is tons of projection at the bottom of the cup, which is wrinkled until I put it on. So deep I could probably size down, which I can't in the Plunge model. Band is tts, wires are very soft and comfortable. I highly recommend this bra.
This isn't an exceptionally pretty bra, especially in nude, but it's full coverage, unbanded and durable. It has a J-hook which is really convenient for when the bra starts to stretch (after 2 years) and you want more support or for when you need a butterfly back or v-neck neckline. On me, the gore doesn't tack completely when I'm using the J-hook but I don't notice it.
Very comfortable, I sometimes forget I'm wearing anything.
If you're a 38 G or higher, with full breasts, this is the bra for you.
Me: Need the width of ~30HH Panache wires but a 38 band and a JJ cup depth. Whee! I'm super omega shaped! Obviously I'm quite projected, my roots are only about 4 inches tall, and my breasts touch at a little less than 3 inches up my midline. So essentially, I have long breasts. Full on top, high set, close set. Basically I am a walking fit problem.
So this bra is pretty great for me. I need to replace the wires, but you know me, I do that all the time ...anyway. The depth is just about right. The stretch lace adds some room. Like most Elomis, this one has the depth of a 38JJ Panache or Curvy Kate bra. The wires started molding to my body and bending back as soon as I tried it on. That's an Elomi characteristic. I don't like it, but since I'm replacing the wires anyway, whatever.
I like the coverage of this bra. It's nearly full coverage on me. As you can see, most of my tissue is encapsulated within the bra. I will always have that gap there at the strap due to my short omega roots. If I get more lift, my breasts actually fold over my chest, which is pretty ugly. The lift is about the max I can take without the folding. I think there is enough room at the bottom and enough projection, which is necessary for me. On a woman with taller roots/lower set boobs, it might be more plunging and give less coverage, but for me it acts as a full coverage bra, not a plunge. Which is typical for me. Comexim makes the only bra I would actually call a plunge on me. The Maya is elasticized at the top which does cut in a tiny bit, but I don't mind. In 38JJ - Elomi » Maya Plunge Bra (4210) the lace was not taut and didn't shape as well. When I change out the wires I will also get a bit more depth to the front which will probably be perfect.
At first the band was very tight, but after one wear it loosened quite a bit. Measurements were taken after I put on the band, so it probably measured closer to 38 when I first tried it. My underbust measurements vacillate between 38 and 40 so it's perfect.
I LOVE the bow with its bird charm. I love birds and the charm is amazing. Love that Elomi puts that much detail into its bras. The print is a little kitchy for me. Ditsy florals aren't really it. The pink is definitely pink, not peachy or softly pink, but a bright pink. I'm not super down with it, but I need a bra. It also shows up a lot under clothing. I like the 36JJ - Elomi » Lottie Plunge Bra (4180) better for its pattern and color (a more peachy color and even the printed bra blends into my skin color pretty well). I will probably buy the Lottie on ebay in 38J as well. After growing a cup size or two since December, I really need bras that don't hurt my IMF or sag. I'm hoping this will be one. I'll update when I've worn it a bit more. Read more 602 more words
Isn't the fabric nice? I loved the bird charm, too. Can you describe more about what you mean by "the wires bending back and conforming to [your] body"?
So on almost all the Elomi bras I've ever had, as soon as I put on the bra the wires, which are fairly soft, they begin to mold to the body, often bending back with the band. I had one bra where the wires were wider by an inch after I had worn it for 30 mins. Some folks love this aspect of Elomi wires, but I find it painful (digs into my armpit fluff) and that it contributes to a poor fit for me. I had a 38HH Rita that fit really well when I put it on but then gave me cone boob the longer I wore it. Once I replaced the wires with narrower ones, the cone boob disappeared. I've also seen ladies complaining about Eveden bras (Freya, Fantasie, Elomi) having a gore that juts out after wearing the bra for a while. My Elomi bras did this too. It was caused by the wires warping over time, being pushed out by my centerful tissue and just staying like that. Once I replaced the wires, the gore tacked just fine. Again, on some folks the soft wires are great. I have super heavy boobs that need serious firm wires.
But yeah, why can't Elomi always use these soft fabrics? Glorious.
You can see what I mean about the wires in this album, where I did some bralterations on my Elomi Amelia: http://bra.pe/XTcQ/pictures/
The band on this bra is very very firm. I fit very comfortably into Elomi Caitlyn Side Support Bra (EL8030) in a 34HH, but I am having to wear Cate on an extender for a few days. It feels a little lower cut than Caitlyn, but it's still definitely a full cup bra. I am having some issues with the band underneath the cup and along my back rolling up, but I have had this problem with Elomi bras before and it doesn't seem to be related to fit issues.
I love the details on the front of the bra, and the "scalloped straps" that ...Elomi claims prevent the adjusters from slipping are beautiful as well.
Edit 10/01/2016: The band is absurdly tight. This is unusual for Elomi so I would blame it on this colorway. I have had this bra for several months and rarely wear it. Because of that, I can now attribute some of the intense shoulder blade pain I was feeling to this bra. I don't know what it is, exactly, but something about this bra turns it into a torture device on me. I am now wearing a 34J, but no other 34HH bra except for my pink @Elomi Caitlyn causes me such intense and specific pain. Read more 107 more words
This is one of my first bra attempts in trying to find my best fit. Overall, it's my most comfortable bra I own at this point, but I can't say this is "it" yet. When I first got this, I realized that the 38 band was just way too tight, even on the loosest setting. I bought an Elomi Bjou Soree at the same time to try a plunge style. The Bjou was way more comfortable in the band even though they are supposedly the same size, so lesson learned there. I am able to wear this bra with an extender, giving me an extra inch till it ...stretches.
The gore was really tight against my sternum, till I added the extender, but even then, I'm very aware it's there when I stand up.
The cup is filled in from the bottom to about 2/3rd to the top. Then I have wrinkling fabric, but it's a heck of a lot better than my other purchases to date. I think I am FOT, because doing the lean over test, I've got a lot of volume above the midline. However, I am tall rooted with pendulous breasts, and very soft tissue. Overall, I have a rounded, slightly pointed look while wearing this, but at least I'm not going east/west. (Bjou, my gawd it's bad!)
The underwire was a big problem. The first day I wore it, which was without the extender, I had bruises where the wire stopped under my arms. The wire stops about an inch below where the cup fabric comes up to. Next time, I added the extender, which helped, except it still dug into my sides. I pulled out my older calcique bra for comparison, that never bothered me with that part of the underwire, and adjusted the underwire to a more U shape, and now the bra is mostly wearable for a day. I have to occasionally tweak the wires throughout the day. I hope this gets better. If I understand, Elomi has the longest wire lenths on the market in my size, so I can't imagine finding a bra that would have enough length to not squash migrated breast tissue, without having the actual cup be enormous on me. So, I've got as workable a fix as I can get right now.
Another odd thing is that I'm very aware of underarm sweat in this bra. The cup fabric is not breathable, as I end up shedding a bra that's sopping wet in that spot, at the of the day. I've never had that happen before in 26 years of wearing bras.
I know this seems all negative, but it's just my assessment of what's some issues of a doable bra, till I find "the one." Read more 351 more words
Can you do narrower widths? If so I can recommend Sculptresse by Panache which will have taller wires on the side. They are also narrower and more up front, and many shapes are better for FOT than Elomi. Most Elomis are best for FOB.
Do you have any style recs from thier brand?
I guess I have an average projection. I thought up until now that I had a shallow projection, but I really reassessed, using the guides on /a bra that fits, just now. Maybe I have been looking for the wrong thing. I just have long tubular breasts that just lay on my stomach, so they tend to flatten out because they have a surface to spead out on. I have very triangle shaped body, so my breasts tend to look small in comparison when in a bra.
I'm thinking this bra might work: 40GG - Sculptresse » Pure Moulded T-shirt Bra (6291) looks ok for measurements compared to your Elomi. It's very soft and gives a rounded gathered profile. All the reviews on here for it seem to be positive.
I loved Sculptresse Kitty (8045) for projection and the open top which is nice for full on top breasts and has a very forward, round profile, a lot like the Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) but with much softer fabric. It is discontinued but is on Amazon and eBay. Styles like it are the Marcie and the also discontinued Sculptresse Charisse (8055).
This gives me some better direction than where I was thinking before.
No worries! There's less options for us at this size so we have to stick together. Also check out roxannelovesbras And RollsAndCurves and her blog because they have great reviews and are in similar sizes to us.
Another AW2015 design bra with terrible fabric. I could barely stand to put it on. When I removed it from the package I got the overwhelming smell of plastic. The bra itself, besides the lace and mesh top, felt terrible, like stiff plastic. It's made of some sort of tough laminate rip stop material. It looks soft and silky but it's nasty. The lace and mesh top is nice though. It's soft.
Anishka is a plunge, a true plunge at this size, with a stretch lace top. The lace had an elastic edge which took away all the good fit ...qualities of the lace for me, but that's because I'm full on top and Elomi is definitely best for even to full on bottom folks. The wings didn't seem too high but the wires were definitely already bending back, like Elomi wires do. The band was nice and firm but stretchy. I think the elastic Elomi uses helps the band feel more stable.
I could have used more projection at the bottom of the cup and there was a lot of wrinkling, which in this thick fabric showed through clothes. The straps were reduced stretch, ribbed to stay up, and fully adjustable. A good bra in a terrible fabric. Read more 115 more words
It's so beautiful! What a shame the materials are repulsive. SIGH.
I really wanted it to be soft and supple. I don't know why everything has to be plastic. I don't need to be lifted to the ceiling, just lifted off my ribs.
So sad! I wanted to get this for my mom (I like the half cup, but sadly it's not in my size), but she needs super soft fabrics and comfy materials :(
Wow. With the Tia you already described, this one buids an intriguing case.
Or Elomi favors large torsos or it uses a specific size chart.
Front view, the straps run inwards at the shoulders while on the back they look ok. So after all it's maybe just a letter or 2 too large after all ?
Those are very voluminous cups. Got me curious, went around on catalogs but couldn't spot such wide sideways excursion.
