I bought this bra [along with the Elomi Jocelyn in 36H] a while ago, maybe 2 years ago or so. I didn't know my true size back then so I'd order bras purely by measurements and suggested sizes from different bra size calculator sites... let's just say it was a trial & error for a while there...
So this was the first bra that I'd ordered sort of blindly and it fit me like a glove, like it was made for me, and I was ecstatic!
It gives me a wonderful rounded shape, doesn't dig into armpits or anywhere else and the center gore sits flat against my sternum. Needless to say it's been my go-to bra ever since.
This is my first bra review ever, so I will probably come back to it and add when I learn to make better reviews https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Elomi Orla 38J with altered band to fit ~34K

I got this bra in an exchange. I have been curious about the fit of the Elomi plunge bras up to JJ cup. I never had a plunge bra that worked for me in the past. The problem has always been that they are too weak and my boobs fell out of the bra at the gore.

The Orla is made from high quality material that Elomi is known for. The fabric is very soft and satin like. The support is awesome for a plunge bra. The wires are a good width for me, but it is a J ... cup after all. So I guess if this bra came in K cup, the wires would be a bit too wide for me like all Elomi wires. But that does not affect the fit, just gives less front projection.

38J is not the ideal size for me. The band was much too big and rode up. I had to alter it down to fit my 34 inch (85cm) ribcage. The cups do fit a bit small (I usually wear 34L). I'm impressed that the bra holds up and supports my boobs very well despite the low gore. Even though it's not a perfect fit, I will wear this bra with some lower cut tops. I'm glad that there is one plunge bra out there that I can make work for me.

I've only had this bra for two days, and it's already my new favorite. I think it just might be the most supportive and comfortable bra I have ever owned. As soon as I put it on and adjusted the straps, it eliminated the strain of my breasts on my upper back and I actually sighed in relief. I didn't think it could get any better, but then I fastened the J-hook and I swear I heard angels sing. My breasts felt completely weightless. Seriously, that tiny little J-hook makes a world of difference. I wish all bras came with one of these hooks!

The band is firm, which ... probably accounts for much of the support this bra provides. The cups are definitely full coverage (my breast tissue is completely enclosed by the cups!), so I have to be careful about which tops I wear with this bra so the cups don't peek out. Also, the seams on the scalloping along the top of the cups do tend to show on the shirts I wear--but I wouldn't say it's as noticeable as the detailing on the Elomi Caitlyn. Like the other Elomi bras I own, this one does separate my breasts more than I would prefer. But these things are only minor inconveniences, and the fact that the bra is so comfortable and supportive completely makes up for it in my opinion.

In short, I'm crazy about this bra. I think every woman with large and heavy breasts should own at least one. I'm already planning to buy it in other colors https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

  4. Izzy Bandless Bra (8790)

    3
    like

    34JJ

    Didn't fit

    Pros:
    Attractive
Bandless, therefore best for short waisted women and any who have underwires dig in their ribs
Low center gore for those who need it (like close together breasts)
    Underwires appear flexible
    Doesn't come up under arm
All of the above means it's pretty comfortable
Band is comfortably tight and doesn't seem prone to stretch like my Caitlyn (34K)

    Cons:
Cups are so wide it seems like it was supposed to act as part of the band. Who knows, maybe it was?
Material a little itchy. Probably will get softer with wear
Not uber supportive. Some jiggle can be noted though not extreme
Full on top women can get quad boob if they ... try since it's not lace or full coverage but it shouldn't usually be happening unless you try.

Not necessarily a con, the shape elomi bras seem to give isn't my preferred one but it doesn't look bad at all under clothes.

I love this bra. I've never had a pretty bra before! I didn't expect it to work in the least but my breasts actually sit how the models does without it coming up full coverage. I like how it looks, I LOVE the low center gore. I like the seemingly flexible underwire and most of all the bandless nature of it. The underwire doesn't tack 100% but there's only like a cm or two of space so for my purposes I said it does.

I am a short waisted hour glass/cello and my breasts are heavy and pendulous and this barely puts any pressure on my ribs. It seems to be an engineering feat to me. If elomi 's multiway bra works out, I'll be a definite fan although I wear 32K normally, the 34JJ/K seems to work for me. I just wish it came in a K cup to see if it worked even better but I'll gladly settle for this. P. S. Husband loves it. Try it!

  5. Amelia Spacer Moulded Bra (8740)

    3
    like

    36DD

    Fits

The Amelia is a very basic bra. It's simple and nice looking, seemingly designed for comfort and disappearance under clothes rather than to be sexy. Nevertheless, it's become one of my favorites. The lined fabric is smooth under thin shirts, the straps are soft, fully-adjustable, and leotard-set in the back to prevent slipping, the wires are shallow and wide, and the band is flared to allow for a better fit at the top and bottom of the band. I was initially concerned that it was a bit too separate in the gore for my boobs, but because the gore is low, that really hasn't been a problem at ... all.

In short, highly recommended for others who need wider wires and shallower-shaped cups. I took the advice of the other reviewer who suggests considering a cup size down, and that worked well.

My only complaint is that the band fits on the large size. I have a lot of 36 bands, but this one is quite stretchy and on the edge of too big. The middle and last sets of hooks work, though, so I'm going to hope that it doesn't stretch out too quickly. I wish wish wish that this bra came in more cup sizes in 34; then, it would be basically perfect.

  7. Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra (8030)

This... is actually a bra I can run in. No, seriously. It has boob-un-jiggling support for my size, which is what I asked for when I went bra shopping. I have an active job, and although I love pretty frilly bras, I needed something I could bend over in, haul heavy things in, and not have to worry about tipping out the top of my bra, or jiggling in a distracting way.

I do not consider this a pretty bra. It's utilitarian, and it fits really well. I'd say the band is a little snug, but not to the point where it's uncomfortable. I should note that I'm ... somewhat fat, and have very small ribs with squishy fat over them, so if you're very firm under the bust, and your measurement is ~35.5m you wouldn't need a 34 band size.

The one con with this, is that the centre gore, where the wires end, can become uncomfortable by the end of the day. If this bra was about 1/2" lower, it would be perfect. I don't know why the "how it fits" section says it doesn't fit. It does! While it's not my favourite bra, it is perfect for what I require day-to-day.

*NOTE! I have "back fat". I prefer my bras to cover it in the back, as resting on it is VERY uncomfortable, so you'll notice that the band is not perfectly level.

This is the best nursing bra I've found. Fabric is soft and comfortable. Lift is better than other nursing bras. Does not show through t-shirts. Able to undo it one-handed, need 2 hands to get it done up again. Support is good compared to other nursing bras.

I bought this as my first non-medical bra after surgery, and it worked very well for that. The wires on this bra are very soft and bendable. I call this a pudding wire. They are even a bit too wide for me. The cups are made out of the softest spacer fabric. It's like wearing clouds. Since the wires are so soft they won't dig in and hurt. The bra was comfy from the first wear! No need to break it in.
Since the wires are a little distorted with wear since they are so soft, the cups become more shallow. This created a bit of a pancake shape. It's not a bra for uplift and shape, it's a comfort bra with relaxed shape. I would recommend this if you like this shape and as an option to wear at home for comfort if you still need wires in your lounge bras. Also to everyone who needs very wide and soft wires.

If you try this bra with an extender I think the wires will fit a tad better. The band looks pretty tight in general. Or you could also try a 36F/FF, up to you.

    • Loxus I did not find the band too tight. There has to be some sort of tension on the band and the wires are so soft they will bend. I think it's meant to be this way for comfort. I will try with an extender to check.

Okay the armpit is a non-issue in this bra. The wires are perfectly short enough for my extreme projection. The only issues I'm having are cup size? Is it too small for the larger breast? There's always the not fully filing up a foam bra or even a lace bra so I'm not super concerned with that. I'm concerned with fall out. The wire is a bit harsh for me, maybe because i really don't have any bodyfat right under my breasts, its really just a lot of ribs there so I'm concerned for that. I also tried a 34GG (UK)in this style and it was too small. So I think I might have an option to go for a 36 in the band but would I keep the cup volume or go up?

Updated on Oct 11, 2022 Flag this

    • 1

It looks too small and/or too shallow with the gore not tacking. I would say go up a cup size or two, but the width of the cup already looks too wide and it would probably get wider with a larger cup size. I can't tell from the photos, but the band doesn't seem to be too small. Going up a band size may sacrifice a lot of support. The wire may be harsh because it's not in your inframammary fold? It's hard to tell from photos. I've never had luck with spacer foam, it's comfortable but the material makes for a shallower cup.

    • 1

I never fill a cup so a shallow cup might be the best option. The gore tacking rarely happens and if it’s small enough it overlaps and doesn’t matter because it doesn’t stick out as hen I sit down and that doesn’t bother me. I’ve realized I have a very narrow frame for my breasts size and they are extremely close together when supported, so I I’m thinking short wires, molded light foam with intense projection.

    • 2

Not filling a cup could mean the bra is not meant for your shape, not that it's too big. It could be too small. The gore not tacking can be an indicator that you need a bigger cup. The cups could also be too wide, too tall, etc. When I wear a bra too wide I get poked by the wires and don't fill out the top of the cup and sometimes I feel like I'm being squished down/to the sides rather than forward for my projection. I haven't heard of a moulded bra that can support intense projection. Generally, moulded = shallow. I hope you are able to find one!

I don't like this bra. It was a letdown after all the hype. The band was too tight at first and then become too loose and didn't support. I don't think the style is for me as it doesn't sit flat against my sternum because I am close-set and it is quite high on design. I find myself constantly adjusting the bra. The straps are wrinkled and stressed out 😦 I have had this bra since June of 2021. Morgan doesn't work for me. There is a bulge on my bigger breast. I have to keep adjusting it. The shape doesn't do much for me🙄 what a letdown!

Probably impossible to find a strapless that fits well. Same experience I have always had since my first strapless bra. Totally empty cup up top but since it's moulded and grippy you at least can't see how empty it is since it's flush to my skin. Band very snug. Would only wear if I absolutely had to for a fancy event and didn't have time to find a better one.

I had read that the Mariella fit very similarly to the Morgan, so I went for a 32J in this bra as well. I found that the fit was identical to my 32J - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110) , and it feels equally comfortable. The gore doesn't quite tack, but otherwise, this is a perfect fit. The Hidden Tiger colorway is more muted in person than I expected: the background is a dull, dark grey, the embroidery is light orange, and the stretch lace is navy blue.

Edited to add: the Elomi website describes this as denim blue with blush embroidery. I totally expected it to be black and neon orange. The fabric still looks gray to me though.

2nd edit: I finally figured out how to mention my other bras! I used Firefox on an old laptop instead of Chrome on my phone, and it worked like a charm. This review and a bunch of my other ones have been edited to include relevant mentions.

I previously owned the Elomi Morgan in a 32H, then re-ordered it in a 32J after gaining weight. I liked this bra when I had it before, as I found it to be very supportive. The lace upper has a very firm elastic band at the edge of the cup, so it does dig in slightly. The gore and wires don't quite tack, and actually sit on my breast tissue a bit. I'm hoping this will fit better in a couple days when I'm not swollen.
Edit to add: still not completely tacking, but not sitting on breast tissue now that breasts are not swollen.

This is a very comfortable bra. The wires are soft and wide, which provides less shaping than other cuts and brands, leaving a bit of a pointy wide-set shape. It has some stretch to the lace at the top of the cup, but for my very full-on-top breasts it does still cut in slightly, especially as the day wears on. It has good, but not significant, immediate projection (part of why it starts creating quad-boob, as the cups slide a little to accommodate my projection). Overall, this is a comfy, everyday bra great for all over fullness and moderate to wider roots.

It doesn't look like you need a 44 band it looks like it's riding up. What's your underbust measurement?

    • 4

Aswell as the huge gap in the front of the bra, definitely remeasure yourself because this looks like a terrible fit :o

    • 4

I just wanted to say that while originally I was going to say that OP was probably not in the correct size, if she likes the bra and is comfortable in it, there’s no reason to get a different one. The correct size is the most comfortable size.

    • Band length measurements seem kind of small for a 44.

    • This bra is too big in the back by two back size, too small in the cups. You should try it in a 40j uk. I love this bra on you. I have it in black in 34gg. Good luck. I hope this helps.

This is my first try of an Elomi bikini top. I am impressed with the quality and the support. It is made of very nice swimsuit material and the cups are double lined.
I tried unpadded Bikini tops in the past but they never felt supportive because the cups were made ouf of stretchy swimsuit material which could not give any shape to my boobs. This top is a structured as a bra and the fabric of the cups is not stretchy. I would say it supports like a regular bra. (If you like the Elomi Plunge bras, you'd like this Bikini top)

Now the size I choose is ... just too small for me. Even if you take into account that my fitting standards for Bikini are a bit lower than for bras. There is a lot of wrinkling on the bottom of the cups. It means the cup is too shallow there and I can't fill it. At the center I get overspill and quadboob. While it looks like I get nice cleavage, on the pic I took from underneath the bra you can see all the issues. The band fits well, I usually wear a 32 band but could get away with a 34 band on this. I'd say it runs true to size / even bit tight.
Some Elomi Bikini stop at H-cup and some go up to HH. I would definetly try a 34HH if I have the chance as it overall made a good impression on me.
