A mostly positive review again! Hooray!

I think this is the last bra from the trip over to Forever Yours Lingerie in Langley, BC. I was over there from the “big island” in mid November to help a friend move. I was in the store in the morning while she was working and picking up the new keys.

Ironically, this is the first bra that I tried there (and the last to review here). I was hesitant to try it because it is bright blue and I have a bright blue BM Wersal. Only that pales in comparison to the vibrant hue of this one (I know because I ... was wearing my Wersal that day!).

The way the shop works is that they have a massive stock room with full/available sizes and a few sizes on display at the front. They had this one, and I had suspected, based on the 65F Kleks, that it was going to be too small. I was right. Sadly, they did not seem to have a 65FF or 70F, which I would usually take in Ewas.

The band was a little bit snug on me, and the fitter asked me about it. Was I comfortable enough with it? It’s funny because she measured me at 28G, which is my technical size, but she was concerned that the 65 bands were too tight for me. I think I must have rib cage issues which make me not fit comfortably with 28 bands. Anyway, it wasn’t a full lace band so I probably could have done a 65FF with maybe an extender for a bit, or a 70F but it might stretch out too fast. I would have probably been ok in either size. My Cabernet is 65FF and my Wersal is 70F (but only 3 columns of hooks instead of the usual 4).

As you can see, it is very close to fitting. My small boob is pretty much perfect fit but my larger one is compressed a little bit and spilling out slightly. By Bibi Black is a tiny bit bigger than this. This was pretty close to the 65F SF Fruit Cocktail bra.

I’m kind of undecided on the colour. I’m not usually a super bright bra person, but every now and again, I do love a vibrant colour like the green of the Freya Deco, and I had a raspberry pink and I do think there’s a place in my bradrobe for the odd fun bright colour. This one is close to the Wersal yet different enough. I did like it, but I did think that the Malachit and Bluberry/Zmierzch were better on me. And the Fruit Cocktail bra.

    • Oh I love that colour!!! Why she doesn’t sell on her website 😭 I don’t need more bras but it looks better than wersal or Chaberek to me 😅

    • I’m not sure but I know that FYL has a few exclusives. But I’m pretty sure that I saw some Ewa photos of this one so I don’t know.

    • 1

This colour is so beautiful! I definitely see that it's too small on your 'larger side', and it's also a bit low coverage on your 'smaller side' for a BM. Beautiful though, thanks for reviewing it.

    • 1

Wow that colour is great! I also agree with the others, it looks a bit low coverage/small on you.

    • 1

I saw someone added ice blue as S, so I’m wondering if I can get as a PL. but it’s also nice as a BM even though it’s close-ish to Wersal. Yeah it’s definitely too small. Nipple placement is off as well.

    • 1

Calluna Yup! I got the Ice Blue S and love it! The color is gorgeous. I would definitely reach out to Kaska and see if she could make a PL for you :)

    • This color looks outstanding on you! Gorgeous!!

    • Love4Pollinators thanks! I was a little bit unsure about the colour at first.

    • That is an amazing color. I wish I knew my size in S so I could get one!

My first time trying Ewa Michalak and I have not been disappointed! My shape is projected, full on top and centre with narrow & tall roots. Soft tissue and extremely close-set breasts. I usually take 28F in UK bras but got 65F in this since I heard the band runs small and I was recommended to take a cup size up in the padded styles of EM. The band stretches to 27 inches - it feels a little tight even on my 27-inch underbust so I would recommend to size up for 2 band sizes. As I prefer not to use cookies, my smaller boob occasionally gaps during ... some parts of my cycle but it is perfect to wear before/during periods. The bra is very supportive with deep & narrow cups and a low & narrow gore. The cups are also open on top. The strap is a bit flimsy though, but that's okay because most of the support should come from the band. As the cups are projected, it is also a little bit pointy. Since I prefer a rounder shape, I might try a 3D next time.

    Fits

I borrowed this bra from lcl0706 for a week to test it out as I have never tried an Ewa before, and she said that this one, although a discontinued model, was fairly true to size. She said that it was a combination of two current styles (Pl and S?) so it was a good diagnostic bra. And since our sizes and shapes are similar, there was a good chance that it would fit. She sent it with the Curvy Kate Bardot 30FF that I bought from her. I'm ever so grateful that she did!

My shape is average to short narrow roots with soft, malleable, ... pendulous tissue that tends to be center full and even to fob. So I'm a perfect candidate for Polish bras.

This bra is amazing. I joked that I didn't want to send it back (I did, and she got it today with a small gift of thanks). I feel like I did have a smidgen of slipping from my IMF but very minor. Shape is great, colour is great (I'm a HUGE fan of navy), and the little flower at the center is lovely...it's not a typical flower, but it's really nice. I have to admit that I originally thought that the style was going to be a bit bland or boring but I was so so wrong. It's understated and just beautiful. I'm grateful that the wires weren't super high and I was quite comfortable with the fit under my arm pits. I have a tiny bit of gapping on my small side, but that's par for the course with my slight asymmetry. The straps were a little bit too wide set for me, but still fairly comfortable and manageable. I also found the band and hooks interesting...I've never seen a bra with 4 rows of hooks. Also, because I was borrowing it, I only wore it at home for a few hours at a time to keep it in the best condition, so I can't say anything about the long term comfort of the bra, but I think that it would be fine after a whole day.

I'd love to try this style or one of the ones that it's based off of. And I'd love to try one similar with a thinner padding if something like this exists. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and when I took it to my local shop, the fitter there (who has also suggested that I try Ewa) said it was a great fit....among the best fits that I have tried. I'm definitely going to have to use the measurements to help me find one for myself when I'm ready.

Anyway, really happy with this style; really sad that I don't actually own it.

be sure to check the listings here on bratabase. but ordering from poland isnt that hard - as long as you dont want to return

    • 2

This looks lovely on you, and I think it would be even better with slightly shorter or more closed off cups. I think you would get on really well with EM's PL cut, or even the 3D cut for that matter. I think you'd also do well with Comexim's plunges, but I feel like you would definitely need to have the cups reduced, although I believe that also makes the cups more open on top, so I'm not sure what the right balance of alterations would be for you without experimenting a little bit.

    • 1

Thanks sherrach898. What's the 3D cut you mentioned? I'm ok with the minimal gapping, especially as I gain size as I get closer to my period and would fill out the cups a bit more. I also think that taking the pics might have enhanced it more than it was in reality. I was recently told that Comexim might not have enough projection at the wire for me. But what would it mean by reducing the cups?

    • 1

Yes dbmamaz, I have my eyes open, but some are super expensive, especially after converting to Canadian. It might be better to just order from Poland and get what I want rather than pick from one here. I have the option for bra obsessed, but also hideously expensive.

    • 3

yeah, after I posted, I looked and was surprised - tho I admit, I just bought a new-with-out-tags ewa from someone here for $75 (US) - but it was worht it lol. It was the FB cut, which is designed for bigger boobs - and fits me better than anything else! I've ordered from poland a lot - esp when she has sales, its more reasonable. I think she has one coming up pretty soon

    • 2

The 3D bras are plunge bras for smaller frames & bustlines:
      https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_m_BRAS_3D-Small-Padded-Plunge-Bras-166.html

Ewa is having a new release sale next week (not sure of the day but usually it starts on the weekend) for the colorful BMs, SF, & bralette she posted on Instagram and Facebook recently. Absynt may be available in the S style as well. (All dependent on Ewa not changing her mind of course. )

Reduced cups for Comexim refers to reduced cup height. It typically will lower the height more towards the straps than the gore to lessen the most common gapy area. You can also order Comexim with deeper at the wire to give more projection.

      :-)

    • Thanks MamaPagan. What do you think of the CHP for me, and in general, which styles aside from what you have already mentioned above do you think might work? In the bra of this review, it's said to be mostly the fit of an S but the gore of a Pl.

    • Edit: you didn't suggest the Pl and 3D above, MamaPagan, it was a different user.

    • 1

Yeah, sorry, I just piped in since I had the additional info! :-)

    • 1

MamaPagan Don't worry about it, you covered everything and more that I would've! Calluna I think the CHP has really good immediate projection, but I'd be worried about the cup height and openness for you.

    • 2

sherrach898 thanks for the help. If it makes a difference, my most worn style up to date has been the La Senza So Free Lightly Lined Balconette bra which o think can be considered open on top. I'm right between the 32D and 32DD in that style, as the cups run large. The band is generally too stretchy for me these days, but it's been my go to style despite the band (I just buy on sale or clearance to justify the reduced lifespan). I'll look at maybe adding it here but there's not a lot of models here and they are constantly changing the styles. But here's an example from the current offering of what I've mostly been wearing up til recently. I'll see if I can get a chance to make a small imgur album of my most recent So Free so you can see it and gage the fit and openness of the cup.

      https://www.lasenza.ca/lightly-lined-balconnet-bra-11122888.html

    • 1

I added my La Senza So Free Lightly Lined Balconette for cup shape and style reference if you want some molded to compare with.

    • 1

Okay! I'm more confident now that the CHP would probably work for you. The Cleo Mimi halfcup in the floral print is also said to fit like polish halfcups, so might be worth a try.

    • 1

Yes, I have the Mimi in mind. Floral or spots. Probably spots since I love polka dots and the teal. I'm just waiting on a few more lighter coloured bras and unlined ones before I go for it.

    • 1

Calluna I haven't personally tried it, but from the reviews I've read, the floral and the leopard print Mimi fit differently from each other, so just be mindful of that. The Floral Mimi is the one that is more projected at the wire and overall, from what I understand. But YMMV.

    • 1

Yeah, I don’t generally care for animal prints. So floral or spots for me. No leopard! ;)

    • 2

Calluna Ah! My bad! I totally forgot about the spots print haha

OH MY GOD! this is just perfect. Both, the bra and the panties. I cant be more happy than Im now! I had this feeling that the set will arrive either today or tomorrow and it came in the best time *_* First of all is so hot outside, and my office feels like steam room, then I had to stay longer because we are having a control from goverment for three days on site. so yaaaaaaay
So this is the second Szmaragd that I own currently, and NO, I am NOT going to sell my 'too small' 70DD that im quadding slightly and the gore is bit painful. ... My plan was to keep only one of them, but now I decided that both 65F and 70DD are staying with me. This is the only bra (probably theres no other bra that I want to own two the same ones).
Anyway thank you Evadne for passing this set to me - I love you!
As mentioned in previous review - I adore the colour of it on my 'milky' skin.
The wires are my favourite width - 13cm - I was complaining about it with 70DD as I felt like theyre bit too narrow when the bra on, but the marks actually are behind my boobs. Also the gore is more comfy than in 70DD
The cup depth is perfect - 22cm works well in this style with 13cm wires. Theres no quadding on gapping - this lace adjust beautifully to my smaller breast
The band is little be more snug than my 70 - well thats obvious - however I can wear it without extender - but just to save a life for this bra I will be putting extra row from extender
Straps are good, but because the band is minimally too tight theyre also minimally too wide - however they do not sit in my armpits and do not cause discomfort
I got this with panties in 36 and theyre perfect! feels like theyre bigger than other panties that I've tried. Also they do not cut in my fatty belly and theyre little lower than Stalowka pants that I used to own - theyre also little bit higher than gazeta panties
So yes, I am so glad to own this beauty in 2 pieces now *_* I am soooooooo happy!

Yay, awesome! I'm so happy they both worked out for you! <3

    • Evadne could you please tell me whether the Magnolia BM runs tight or comparable to Szmaragd? :)

    • Do you know what shape this bra or cut works best for?

    • I'm so envious! I've been lusting after this bra for months. It's so hard to find nice green lingerie, but I love the look of this bra and the colour. Glad it works so well for you!

    • 1

Thanks Wilderness1 , I'm not a big fan of green but this one is so stunning that I couldn't resist. Something mature and sexy in one

letstalkaboutbras , as you probably know from my previous mentions I have tall roots and FOB/even shape, and it fits completely fine. I don't get in-cup quaddig like I do get in cleo bras often and this bra from what I saw works for many shapes and both tall and short roots - while I get less coverage, someone with short roots will have it as a full cup, BUT, I found Szmaragd to have less coverage to most of my other BMs, some have higher cups and then I just don't like them much. I remember that Chaberek was on shorter side as well , and the Bibi with straps it's like in between the higher and this one.
About sizing, I didn't have to size down like most girls do, I use my standard as in padded 70E/65F size

    • martka00 thank you! That's helpful.

This is my first SM bra. And it’s amazing! I was sure that it would be too closed at the top like most unpadded bras are for my slightly FoT shape, but it fits surprisingly well. I’ve been looking for the perfect sheer black bra, and this is it. It’s sexy and simple with just the right amount of details. I adore the lace and the huge bow at the center gore. The shape is nice and rounded but somewhat natural. SM Czarna doesn’t feel super supportive for me, but it’s not really a bra for heavy working days or running around anyway. It’ll be perfect for lazy ... summer days!

Unlined cups usually end up wrinkling on me but this one doesn’t at all. My breasts are slightly different shape, and the right breast fits perfectly in both the cups and wires. The more projected left one slightly tries to bulge over the center gore, and the wires are a bit too wide on that side as well. Overall, it’s definitely the best cup size for me. I also like the narrow and low center gore, as usual for EM. The straps are really wideset, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. However, the band is really big (for my 26 inch underbust). I can easily wear this on the tightest hooks and it could be firmer still. I’ll need to get the band taken in or then just sell this and buy in 60FF. And I need the matching panties!

Overall, I’m really pleasantly surprised with this bra. It’s gorgeous and (almost) fits. No I want more SM bras! Poor bank account.

    • wait, you give it a glowing review and then you list it?

    • dbmamaz Yes because it would be perfect in a 60FF! I feel like the straps would get too close to each other in the back if I get it shortened. And I'd need a seamstress anyway because I don't have a sewing machine and haven't even used one since the 6th grade.

    • 1

It looks like a great fit in the pictures but I can see why you'd like the perfect fit. Nice shaping too for a sheer bra. Hats off to Ewa for doing it right!

    • 1

dbmamaz roxannelovesbras Yes the shape is great! I would've been wary of ordering a custom size since I've never tried this style. But I found this from Bratabase and since it turned out so well I thought I might as well get the proper size now that it's still available. :)

    • 1

I dont think the straps are actually any closer in 60 backs, in Ewa Michalak. thats the whole point of strapgate. She takes the band away under the arms, not from between the straps and the hooks/eyes.

    • 1

Hmmm reading this I may need a Czarna as well (:

Have been considering it for a long while but like you; I was afraid it would cut in.
Also I've read in earlier reviews that the gore & especially the wings are a bit high..?

Still not 100% sure if I should order but I really love the look of this bra!!

    • 1

      Beautiful on you!!

    • 1

bubblegum I think it's worth trying! :) The top edge is not very strechy, but the shape is nevertheless much more forgiving to upper fullness than for example Freya unlined plunges.
The gore seems to be a little bit lower than an S or CHP bra of the same size, and about 2 cm lower than unaltered Comexims in my size.
I'm not sure about the wing height though, it's not a huge problem for me usually since I'm rather low-set.

Very VS adjacent style! Thin, stretchy straps and low gore. Fairly tall cups (particularly at the edges) but good immediate projection. Straps are wideset and cups are fairly wide as well. Wires are low, soft, and bendable. The quality overall on this one isn't as great as some of the others I've tried from Ewa. Some of the finishes seem cheap, and the finishes could definitely be improved. Overall though, this is a great choice for a true plunge bra in this size range. The tan backing is warm toned and caramelish.

There is supposed to be an S coming out in this fabric . . i'm so excited!

    • 1

The S she teased of it did look gorgeous with the faux corset gore! I bet it will be very popular

    • 1

:O where can I see this teaser?! I'm so conflicted about wanting to buy from EM though!

    • 1

    • Magique looks so pretty on you, PetiteCollegiate! About the cheaper finishes on this, CH Cherry, and some other recent works: do you think EM is intentionally going for a more VS style? Or is the quality just declining for no apparent reason (aside from higher profit margins)?

On a side note, that S Magique looks unbanded (ow, no thank you) and awkward? The gore itself is very pretty, but I think the eyelash lace is much prettier without the cup edge extending above it.

    • 2

Thank you! I do think that the quality of her recent bras is not as good. The price has gone up as well, which makes it more frustrating! Higher profit margins would be my guess, but I don't know what is going on. It could be some factory or labor issue.

And yes, it think it's unbanded. I love that design, but the S isn't my favorite cut. The eyelash lace doesn't extend to the top on mine either. I think it would be prettier sticking out a bit, but I believe that's dependent on cup size.

I’ve finally decided to size up the cup. To try the new size, I chose the cheapest model available on the site.
The band in Pralinka is TTS or even truer than the size… I prefer to wear it with an extender for the moment, but won’t probably need it when it stretches out after some time.
I am SO happy to discover this cut! Obviously, I was afraid of the cup depth but my PLs are a little bit quadding these days, so it was the best moment to try it out.
I can’t see a lot of difference in the coverage. I have less cleavage than in the PLs, ... but this cleavage was mainly due to the too small cups – if the cups weren’t that open, I could not probably even wear them. The major difference between the S and the PL cut is the angle of the bottom of the cup – it’s just impressive. My boobs have never been lifted so high and so steeply.
The cup edge seems a little more closed on the top compared to the PL cut.
The bra is very soft and comfortable. The straps are wide and unfortunately they’re also trying to escape from my shoulders, but less than in Szmaragd.
I haven't bought a nude from for ages, because I usually don't find them interesting and prefer to spend my money on something more coloured but I absolutely don't regret this purchase and I hope it'll still fit when I will need it the most, in the summer.

    • I thought this particular S ran a little small? i've been considering buying it up 1 size from my other S that fits. I believe S is more closed in the smaller sizes, but mine are quite open (75 J/JJ)

    • so, if it really does then I was lucky to choose this particular model :D

    • The fit looks good! And the colour and smooth surface will make this a very useful bra I think. What's the fabric like it appears shiny?

    • Pudding the fabric on the cups is shiny but not as much as on the pics. The rest of the bra is rather mat. I love shining bras ;)

    • I read somewhere else the shiny stuff was almost like pantyhose over the surface of the bra - like where some of them have lace

It's not as stiff as the foam in some of her others, and I find it gives a little bit less lift. The band runs about one size small. Full review on the blog!

The MP is a new construction based on the 3D. Truskawki z malinami is the first MP to be released. At the same time, Ewa Michalak released the Truskawki z malinami in the S construction.

If you ordered and received an Ewa Michalak Truskawki z malinami but are disappointed with its fit, you may have received the wrong bra! I ordered an MP but received an S. I didn’t realize this at first, as there was no style designation on my bra. Another Bratabaser ordered an S but received an MP. The style name was noted on one of her bra’s tags. After comparing measurements of our bras ... (thanks Bratabase!), we realized Ewa Michalak’s error. Before this revelation, we had been trying to communicate with the company about our respective bras. We have both been stonewalled.

I posted a Bra Adventure on July 30, 2014, about the construction error in my 65F Ewa Michalak MP Truskawki z malinami. I wanted to warn everyone Ewa Michalak’s Facebook fit advice about the MP was incorrect where gore height is concerned. That fit advice has since been deleted from their Facebook page. My Bratabase entry has been corrected to reflect my bra is the S style.

As you can see from my S Truskawki z malinami’s measurements, its center gore is typical for an S bra. It is about 2.5” high, an inch higher than 3D gores. This is my fit issue with this bra, as there is no space between my breasts once you get above the 1.5” mark.

Other than that, this bra fits well in 65F without the removable pads Ewa includes to correct asymmetry. This bra fits much like my six 65F 3D bras (Szafirek, Trapez, Szykus, Satine, Karmelki, Pieprzyk). The S Truskawki z malinami does not have the significantly higher coverage cups and lower than usual sides of the 3D Bambino, a bra I gave away.

The S Truskawki z malinami's materials are all soft and attractive, as in my Pl Onyks. I love the juicy color. No grayed, pasteled, toasted, or muted color here. The texture of the outside of the cups reminds me very much of the outside cup texture of the Pl Onyks. The padding is similar, too. It feels very plush but a tad thicker than that in my 3Ds. This padding resembles in thickness that of my Pl Onyks. The cups are lined with cotton, as usual in an Ewa Michalak bra.

The hook and eye area is normal and comfortable. Nothing is scratchy or rough. The last few 3Ds I've gotten have been so poorly finished, I have to wear a cotton pad beneath the hook/eye area of four of them. Several hand washings in Forever New, followed by air drying, have not resolved the issue.

In a serendipitous coincidence, the Bratabaser who received an MP, instead of the S she had ordered, received a 65F. At least Ewa Michalak got that right. As her MP is too shallow for her, and I’m willing to risk excessive cleavage in it, we are exchanging bras. Thanks to Jj’s generosity, even our shipping will be reimbursed. We will each receive the right bra, no thanks to Ewa Michalak.

[Bratabaser vesela_krava, in response to my Bra Adventure plea, kindly offered to translate the text of an email I wanted to send Ewa Michalak into Polish. My lengthy email was calm and thorough, making it clear I wasn’t seeking a refund or reimbursement to ship the bra back. I merely sought confirmation of their error so I could purchase another MP and get an actual MP. When several days had passed and no one replied to my three emails (twice sent directly from my personal email account to sklep@ewa-michalak.pl and once embedded in the Contact Form on their website), vesela_krava emailed and phoned them repeatedly on my behalf. She is a native Polish speaker. She *finally* got through to someone on the phone, not Dominik, who admitted they had sent the wrong bra! I mention this so you all know vesela_krava is like an angel, but with more bra knowledge.]

    Didn't fit

My usual UK size is 28F and my shape is projected, fuller on top and centre, tall and narrow roots, close and low set. I have been recommended the BM a lot since my best fitting bra is the Panache Jasmine. Both are narrow and projected and have stretch lace on top to accommodate top fullness. I have not been disappointed by the quality but the inconsistent sizing is just so frustrating.

I know EM runs tight so I opted for a 65 band instead of 60. My last M bra in 65 was incredibly tight even on my 27" rib cage. But the band on this bra fits ... like a true 65/30 (stretched band is 29.5"), so I have to hook it on the second loosest (of 4) hooks for it not to ride up. I'm hesitant to keep this bra due to this.

The cups fit like a usual UK E (on a 30 band) with 5" width and 9.3" depth, so it fits nicely except I have some wrinkles on my smaller side. The cups are taller than I imagined though, which is fine because I have tall roots. It just feels like I get a lot more coverage in this than the Jasmine - not a bad thing, just something to get used to. They are narrow and projected as expected. The bottom of the cups are lined with an extra layer of mesh. The gore is of normal height for a balconette this size, but the top is partly overlapped which I believe makes it narrower. The bra is overall comfortable.

I'm not a fan of the dark red / purple accents on the cups (although I can put up with it) - I would rather have a simple, black design like the Bibi if I could (they don't ship to my country so I got this one on braswap). I usually like bows, but the one at the gore is just too big. The bows near the straps are fine, but I really dislike the elastics above them. I think I'm going to remove it and the bow at the gore if I keep the bra.

    Fits

This is one of two bras that I got from another seller...she was offering both at extremely reasonable prices because they were heavily used, and this one she actually refunded some of my money as she noticed a bit more wear on the band than originally thought...so that was very nice. I opted for this one because I’d had no experience with this cut before, and there were a few SMs in the listings in 70E that I was interested in, but I had been a bit worried about the cup depth. And I was right to be. It’s a little bit small. This bra is borderline too ... small for me. Especially pre-period aka high tide.

The black lace is beautiful but I feel like maybe it’s not super soft.. it’s not scratchy or anything, but it’s thicker and firmer than I was expecting. The band on this one is shot, so I can’t really comment on it, but I gather from the visible wear that it was probably a stretchy knitwear one. The button bow at the gore and straps are cute, but I think that the strap ones are a little annoying as they don’t tend to lie flat and can poke out of tanks and camisoles.

The shape from the front is lovely and I appreciate the lower neckline and gore. I also still have a fair amount of cleavage in the bra, even though it’s not a plunge. The side shape is ok...you can see the slight spilling and slight upside down 7 shape, and in both front and side views, you can see the wrinkles at the wire. Based on my separate post about this bra and the wrinkles, it’s possible it’s just too shallow, although I do have wire marks lining up with my roots pretty well, but it’s possible that it is from being a little smaller than I need and it’s shape on me. It’s a looser more natural but still somewhat rounded, I think.

As is quite common with Ewas, and small bands in particular, I find that the straps are a bit too wide for me, but they are on the edge of my comfort zone. I’d definitely like to see straps be less wide set in her bras.

Aside from the minor issues with the fit, I’ll hold on to this bra for a bit because it’s almost a good fit and I got it at a stellar price.

For my shape, narrowish and tallish roots that are soft, deflated, and pendulous which push me towards functionally short and even to full on bottom, this style sort of works. It’s not projected at the wire enough, though were I in a 65FF, I might feel like the apex depth is ok (and immediate depth might be better). It’s hard to tell in bras that don’t quite bit though. I’ve got my sights set on some BMs to try when I have enough money to buy one as I think I might have better luck with it than the SM.

I’m happy that I tried this, and it was a valuable purchase in my ongoing quest to learn more about Ewa Michalak bras by experience. I’m not sure if I will try it in a cup size up or not, but it’s a possibility.

    • With that low coverage does it feel like if you bend down you're gonna slip out of the cups? This is my main concern with SM bras. They look like they cover a lot more on her models but then in reviews and such they look pretty low coverage.
Thank you for this review, sorry it's not a perfect match. The bra is beautiful though!

    • 2

brasaremean I *think* the coverage of the SM varies by cup size as well as breast shape. Half of the SM models Ewa has are fuller busted (J cup and above) so they cover more by necessity. Gosia is a 60J 28:13 (though I think she’s more a 60K 28:15 now) and Agnieszka is a 70K 32:15. Gosik (Ewa’s sister) is the smallest bust at a 90E 40:6. I don’t know Ulla’s size as Ewa stopped posting sizes so the newer models are unknown. I am assuming she is FOT based on where her nipples sit in the cups of the sheer bras.

I’ve tried 3 SM bras in 2 models (Tattoo & Koralik) and 2 of them were too small to wear, so I only have a little experience with them, but from that experience they were still secure feeling even with my taller breasts. The SM cups don’t have much give to them, so they are more stabilizing than the BM style even at the lower coverage, but if you have super soft tissue, you’ll likely experience the same issue I do which is the flattening/quad.

@Calluna Based on what I see in the photos, I don’t think you’d be pleased with sizing up in the cup. Maybe it’s just my phone screen, but I’m not seeing any spillage, in fact the top of the lace looks a bit loose, as the SM style usually is snug against the breast. Again, my internet is limited to my phone, so the tiny photos are not always as revealing as a full computer screen, so what I see may not be what is really happening.

The SM style is the most difficult style to fit that Ewa makes. It’s usually a hit or miss, and doesn’t have the forgiving nature of her stretch lace bras or padded varieties. I love the look of the SM style, but they don’t work well for me.

    • brasaremean not that I've noticed. It's a thicker sort of lace instead of stretch which helps with such a low coverage, but also consider my size range as well. I'm also not bending over a lot, and if I do, I have not had to rearrange any after I got back u.

MamaPagan the pics are from the day I got it, which was just a few days before I ovulated. I just took a batch of pics today as period is imminent. I'll eventually determine the best pics to add to my gallery to show my high tide as you say, in this bra. I'm definitely spilling and the cutting in and spilling is much more noticeable. I'm not quadding in the initial pics, but you can see some that my boobs are searching for higher ground and fighting for space inside the cup and, to a degree, crushing the cup some.

Here's a quick imgur album of the quadding and spilling as of like 5 minutes ago. Like I said, I'll eventually pick the best from here and add to the gallery, but pre ovulation it borders on being too small, and after I ovulate, it is too small.

      https://imgur.com/a/Y9d7zXM

    • 1

Oh my, that's a whole lot of quadding for sure! Yikes, and yeah, sizing up would be needed, 2 cup sizes on the days that are that full.

Our bodies are amazing, aren't they? How much ebb and flow our hormone holders can do!

I say the high tide, because the oceans infringe on the land at high tide, all swollen and full. In the analogy, our hormones would be the moon's influence on the tides. ;-) It seems all too fitting to our bodies to me.

Personally, I'd add all the photos. Each and every photo with its subtle angle shifts show differences not seen in others, making them all useful. Everyone searches the photos with different purposes-to seek out a varied particular aspect of the bra features, so while some may find it over done, others (like myself) know that the added details are helpful.

    • Ahh, ok. Thanks for your explanation. I like the reference though, so I thought it would be appropriate here. I will add all of the pictures then. I could probably readjust tissue a little bit after the swoop and scoop, but I'd still be spilling over or threatening to. I suspect that it's the cut and not the size, but I would try a 65FF/70F in an SM if the price was right on a style that I liked. I'm still interested in trying a BM when I have the money to get one.

    • 1

I love their BMs. The stretch lace is so accommodating to the hormone fluctuations. With the difference you experience bwtween high and low tide, I am confident you will love them as well. I hope you find one soon! If not, there's always Ewa's Black Friday sale next month which should be promising.

    • What can I expect from the Black Friday sale? I'm in Canada so I will have to have it shipped to a friend to forward on to me, otherwise it's DHL which is awful.

    • Also, since you have seen a lot of my reviews and fits, what size(s) of the BM do you think I should be trying? It's been suggested that the full lace I look at 65F/70E and 65FF/70F for the half lace, but that it's still a crap shoot. 😂

    • The measurements do vary, especially in height, at least in my range. I find the BMs to have stretchier bands (except the ones that have lace on them as they are double lined) so I'd suggest going with the 65s over the 70s for proper support. Based on how this one fits at high tide, I'd lean more towards the FF except in Bibi Black and Flamenco which should work at 65F. That is under the assumption that her scaling per model in your size range is the same as in my range which isn't always the case. Either way, I would suggest browsing the entries here and see if any members who tried the SM in the 65F/FF/G range also tried BMs. Look at the posted pictures and compare how both styles fit the member and what size they opted for in their BMs. A picture says a 1000 words so even if measurements are omitted, the photos can be useful.

Black Friday she lists all in stock (so a large section of standard sizing for what's already made) on sale. Not every model will be available in every standard size, but you should have a few options in your range. I'd assume it will be her standard 20-50 PLN off, which is usually 20PLN off panties and 30-50PLN off bras. That's what she did last year and it seems to be her go to for sales.

    • 1

You may want to consider the SF style as well. It's similar to the BM but reinforced on the bottom for more support, but still has the stretch top. Some have an issue with them not having enough immediate projection (including Ewa's own models) but it is quite comfortable and supportive, so if minor bottom wire wrinkling doesn't bother you, it could be a promising option. I'd say try 65FF for that one.

    • Thanks for your advice. BM Bibi Black is one that has my interest, though I am interested in quite a few. It seems like I'm looking for bands that stretch to 29-30" and cup depth 9.5-10" I think. My laying measurement is 9.8" iirc, which is also what I put my 30F Marcie at.

    • I have considered the SF but have been told that the straps are really wide, though there's a 70F listed here that might be ok...I'm not sold on it yet.

    • 1

As a note my Bibi Black band stretched out from snug on loosest to 'tightest hook it is' within a couple of days. However, it might be an exception, not a rule.

    • 1

Also I will get a 70FF SF (and 4 BMs lol) and will post measurements for you to see how band is across all of them!

    • 1

I don't feel that the SF straps are wider set than her other styles, but the material is stiffer so it's more noticeable if that makes sense?

    • 1

Ahh, thanks so much for all the help and information!

    • 1

Also, doing a search on Ewa's site by bras, All, then filtering by size (65F & 65FF) and marking only in stock bras yields these results:
      https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_m_BRAS_ALL-189.html?filter_sizes=20%2C21&filter_text=&filter_instock=y

This gives you an idea of what to expect for Black Friday. The bras may change as her stock fluctuates, but it's a good variety.
      And you're welcome :-)

    • Awesome! I really want the eggplant one. Porto maybe, and BM Bibi Tulipan is on my list. Anyone know what the Bibi stands for/means?

    • According to Google translate.....Bibi ;-) It auto detects as English, but switching to Polish still says Bibi for English. ..... Oh well!

    • Yeah, I tried to look it up. Like, what about the Bibi styles are different from the non Bibis?

    • I've wondered about that myself. I honestly have no clue. Some are half lace, some full lace, the fit isn't the same with the half vs full lace Bibis so I am clueless! The full lace Bibis are more open on top, allowing for more breast room so even though they measure basically the same as the others, they are roomier. I love the half lace ones-they are my bra bliss, but they are all Bibis currently so I have nothing to compare them to......

I'm still trying to figure out the actual difference between the SM and SMN styles......

    • Wow, this looks like the perfect Cleavage bra. Glad it works for you.

BTW, DHL also sucks around there. It puzzles me how they could ever expand to other countries.

    • 1

Thanks aboobaccount. It's not perfect, especially high tide when I have major quadboobs, but I started my period yesterday afternoon and I am already returning to lighter and smaller boobs that border being too big for the bra rather than clearly being too big for it. As I got it so cheap, I will definitely hang onto it for a little bit. I'm actually kinda shocked at this cleavage, though I have the same with my S, and the only thing that is different should be that the S is padded and the SM is not. So I should not really be all that shocked, I guess. ;)

My Ewa's finally arrived. Yay!! This bra was the one I was most excited about and, for me, it was a surprise disappointment. I think if I hadn't waited 8 weeks for the order I'd have been even more disappointed but some of the initial excitement had worn off simply due to the long wait.

So the aesthetics of this bra are stunning, with the beige mesh and black and white lace embroidery and on a similar skin tone would give a tattooed effect. Construction quality is high as usual, and the bows are lovely. Out of all 3 of my recent order bras, ... this one is most TTS in the band. However, I find this bra to be more shallow at the bottom of the cup than previous SMs I've tried. As a result, it wants to buckle at the bottom and gives me an oddly pointed shape. I don't know if this is the difference between an all lace SM vs a mesh SM like the ones I've owned before, but this is not the same SM fit and shape I'm used to and to be honest, I'm not a fan. I don't think anything is wrong with the bra itself and I'm sure it would work well on a lot of people, I just think this bra would be lovely on someone who is not as pendulous as me - someone who's projected but somewhat self supporting would likely get a better fit.

The wires are narrow as usual and visually it's stunning, it just doesn't work on me personally. Still, can't say enough about the quality and lovely aesthetics!

Damn, that's unfortunate! I have found that my SM Summertime's lace embroidered upper panel lays flatter and doesn't round out as much as the mesh SM's I've had, so I suspect it's the all over lace embroidery which is stiffening the mesh into a less desirable shape for you :(

    • sherrach898 now that you say that it makes perfect sense. I think I’m gonna stick to the mesh SMs going forward

    • 2

Mine is giving the same shape, and I was thinking it's either the embroidery or the fact that they double lined it - I have other all-lace SMs, and they don't have this shape issue at all, but they're also not embroidered, and there's no extra cup lining. I agree with sherrach898, I have summertime and the top embroidered part does make the cup fit less rounded.

It reminds me a lot of SM Fiolecik, which was mesh with embroidery like all down the cup, I got a really similar pointed shape in that as I'm getting in the Tattoo 🙁

    • The bra is beautiful, it's unfortunate about the shape. I get that shape in the mesh SM's as well. I've just sworn off SM's and am sticking to the BM's and SF's.

My shape is short and narrow rooted, soft, and low set.

This bra has a smooth polyester outer cup with a cotton inner cup. The straps and gore have tasteful little pink bows. The cups come with cookie pockets and cookies, which are set in the lower bottom half of the cup (not over the entire cup like EMs pl). I'd almost consider the cookies half cookies. I did try putting two cookies in one side to deal with my asymmetry, but it was too hard to stuff 2 cookies into one pocket, and it gave the bottom of the cup an odd shape, which you can see ... in one of the pictures. All pictures are shown with a cookie pocket on my right side.

The shape this bra provides is rounded, uplifted, and exposed on the top of the breast. I love the CHP shape, and it looks great under a tshirt. Unfortunately, I probably could have gone with a 65E in this bra, as I do get some small gaping on my right side (and a teensy bit on my left). I would have preferred to wear this bra without cookies.

The straps are fully adjustable, and I do find them a little bit stretchy; not so much that you can't get some lift though. They do sit over my tail of spence, as most bras do, but I don't find them irritating. They have a nice soft inner lining on the straps that makes them comfortable. The band is nice and snug, and fits my 28"-29" rib cage well on the loosest hook (I can comfortably hook it on the second, but I don't like to overstretch bands).

Overall great quality as always, but wish I'd sized down to the 65E to get better cleavage without cookies. For comparison, the Pl I ordered in 65F fits without gaping.

    • I've noticed a growing consensus that CHP requires down sizing over the other EM padded styles, so you are not alone with this. For me, my CHP required size is even smaller than my SF bras.
This one is a great color for you!
      :)

Thanks MamaPagan ! I didn't realize how much size I'd lost since losing a few pounds. I have a 65FF that was gaping, so I thought sizing down 1 size was enough.... apparently I was wrong! I think this bra would give amazing cleavage in a size smaller... but with the recent shipping fiasco I don't dare try to do an exchange. :(

    • 1

Yeah, I don't blame you at all! I cannot believe DHL is so bad! I've only had one experience with them here in the US, but they held my package for over a month at the local hub before delivery. I did eventually get it but was baffled by the delay. "Misplaced"

I'd have a real difficult time agreeing to charges without concrete proof they were legitimate. It really sounds like theft to me..... :(

    • 1

MamaPagan .. I thought there'd be some kind of receipt with my package showing the fee schedule too, but there wasn't. I have no idea how the charges were broken down by DHL. Guess I just have to count my losses and move on. Won't be making that mistake again.

    • 1

That is really horrible and I am so sorry you experienced it. If nothing else, maybe you can dispute it with your credit card company? (Assuming you paid DHL direct with a credit or debit card?) If nothing else, it would force them to provide you with the proof and documentation.

So this is another bra that I've loved ever since it came out, was on my wishlist for years, and then popped up on /r/braswap in my sister size about six months ago. Of course I had to snatch it up! Luckily the seller also lived in Toronto at the time, so I actually arranged for an in-person transaction. This wasn't the first time I've done an in-person transaction, and every time has been a success! The bra fitting and swapping community is so nice https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Anyway, I've only worn this once or twice because the band is too loose for me. If ... I'm feeling confident in my sewing abilities I will take the band in so that I can wear it more often! I love the design of this bra. The forest green lace, the magenta bows... just stunning! And of course, I love the shape this bra gives me: very round and natural, and so comfortable because of the stretch lace! I find that even though this is my sister size (my other two BM's fit perfectly in 60FF), this one runs a bit larger in the cups. Maybe the cups will be pulled tighter if I take the band in. Regardless, I will hoard this bra for a very long time no matter how often I actually wear it hahaha.

This bra has been on my wishlist for years, and it has been discontinued for several years now as well, so when I saw jlcl119 selling it in my sister size I couldn't pass it up! I've come to realize that I prefer the BM shape over the SM, but like I said, I couldn't pass this up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> It fits pretty much identical to my SM Summertime, with the embroidered cups and everything. The only differences are the larger band (which I may take in if I'm feeling confident in my sewing skills), and the straps. These straps ... are different than anything I've seen from EM before. They're wide, stretchy, soft, and smooth. I'll have to see if they loosen throughout a day's wear or not. The band of the bra and the material of the coordinating thong and briefs are all made of a really soft jersey material, so it's super comfy.

Overall, I think this is a stunning set, and I'm so lucky and grateful to jlcl119 for putting it up for sale!

This is a brilliant, clear red. And, my pale, slightly blue skin against the brilliant red is reminiscent of Snow White holding the poison apple. What a contrast. Usually I prefer reds with blue undertones, but this red with slight orange undertones is breathtaking. It will look stunning with every skin color!!

Sadly, I need a 65FF which is not an option, because 65F is the largest 3D currently manufactured. All my searching for larger and larger bras was in vain: I simply needed more center projection and a very low gore. Sigh. Still, after 235+ bras, I haven't found it yet. But, the 3D is the closest ... fitting wired bra so far.

If you are close-set, center-full and petite/high set/short-waisted, I strongly recommend trying the 3D first. This is the last Ewa Michalak style I've tried, and I would have been much happier and less perplexed had tried it first. 3D first. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

This wire is .2" too narrow. Considering I happily wear 6" wires, this is no surprise. And, the gore wire still rests painfully along the circumference of one breast. Finally, the cup is slightly shallow for me, and I quad along the center of both cups.

This was a painless, perfect "special order" transaction through Zathiya Lingerie. My first transaction with Zathiya will not be my last. Communication was excellent and I was well-informed about my order's status throughout the order fulfillment process.

that color is really beautiful on you!

I've wanted to get this bra because it's red, but didn't because I already have a few red bras, but seeing it on you, I might get it.

Too bad the 3D doesn't come in 1 size up.

    • Prettyncharmeuse I was thinking about how gorgeous this color would be on you as I typed. :-)

    • 1

That color is breathtaking! Sorry it didn't fit.

    • 1

I agree.. that colour is beautiful against your skin tone. Do you think there's any way they'd make it in a 65FF - seeing as how they do larger custom orders in other bras, maybe it's an option?

    • 1

I'm so sad it didn't fit! I really really wish they made this cut in all the sizes and didn't grade up too much!

    • 1

I can always ask ;-) And, I haven't tried a PL 65FF. That may be an option, too.

@cupandahalf Sincerely, those of us who are petite/high set/short waisted/center full/close-set need more options. Maddening, the very limited options....most so in your range. Business opportunity :-)

    • 1

Really beautiful color, especially on your pale skin! Your shape description sounds just like me and makes me wish I was in the size range for the 3D... my Ewa Michalak Mojito PL is one of my best fitting bras, maybe I'll get this one too!

    • 1

Why do t you try it in size like 70e or 75DD? Sometimes this might run bigger than in smaller bands :) I've tried few 75DD and they were bigger than their sister size 70E . I know band can be an issue but with 75 you could alter the band slightly ? Maybe this would work?
Btw looks gorgeous ! I'm as pale as you but not brace enough to buy such red bra :p

    • Based on how this fits, I think you'd like the M cut even better, although I think 65F is the largest available size for it as well. Same low gore, more room at the wire and at the center.

    • 1

The M cut range in 65 is up to 65FF.

    • 1

I tried the 70F M last week. It is shallow in the outer portion of the cup and the wire bites hard under my most projected breast. Additionally, the gore base is wider which is less ideal for center-full, close-set breasts. http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dil3w/

This bra looks so beautiful on you. Shame about the size. I have some 65FF Pls on here if you want to take a look at the measurements. :)

    • gratiat Giggle. I've alrw been stalking your 65FF PLs :-) Sincerely, thank you for all your data and effort!!!

    • 1

I'm glad it helps! I'd take this one off of your hands but it sounds too shallow for me. I ave another one to add that I hope to get to tonight.

    • 1

Too bad it didn't fit! It looks so nice on you! 3D is great advice! I will try it next! Thanks!

    • 1

Oh no! You are right! They need larger cup sizes in 3d design if that is possible. My size isn't there. So frustrating when you find a great style but it stops one or two cup sizes short of what you need. Tends to be my story too!

    Didn't fit

I've had this bra for a couple of months now and have just worn it. It's been in my drawer while I waited for, tried on, then sold a M Syrena in a 65F. I decided to keep the S cut. Both cuts are not ideal for me for different reasons. I decided S Syrena's specific imperfections were more comfortable for me and so she stays.

S Syrena is a padded balconette from 2015. Its name translates to "Siren" and it is a mermaid bra for sure. The cups are a shimmery emerald green covered in navy eyelash lace (the exact same lace as 65G - Comexim ... » Victoria Plunge (CUSTOM) actually. I also want to note that EM M Magique, Comexim Beauty, Comexim Sonia, and Comexim Rita are all the same lace in different colors). The bra band and straps are navy blue elastic and the seams are covered with shiny ribbon. Green on the horizontal, navy on the vertical. The green ribbon also trims out the wings and the front of the straps. The elastic on the interior of Syrena is green on the bottom. The bra is finished off with bright fuchsia bows. A big one at the gore, little ones at the straps.

The band on this is true to average for my Ewas. It is soft and comfortable. The band is wide and distributes tension well. I am on the loosest set of four eyes.
The straps are fully adjustable. It takes a little bit of force to get the sliders over the seam of the ribbon, but they will pop over it. They are comfortable. Not too thin, not too stretchy, and not too wide set. The sliders stay in place and don't slip down with wear.
The wires are narrow and not pokey.
The cups themselves are where my issue with the S lies. In my size, they are not projected enough at the wire. Apex projection is awesome, but I don't need it there, I need it below. Because my roots are also short I cannot meet the top of the cup where all the room is. I need to use pads, which makes the wire space even shallower and not able to stay in my IMF. The wires don't get shoved down far enough to hurt during the day. They will hurt if I'm sitting too much, especially if my posture is poor, they will dig into my ribs. Ordinarily this is not something that I tolerate. With 50 bras in my house, there is no reason for me to. But, Syrena is gorgeous and almost made for me in her color scheme (also not possible to have made in my beloved CHP, which would solve all my problems). There are just some bras that are worth the compromise, to me Syrena is one of them.

The underwear, both the brief and the thong, I purchased in a 38. Because my last order ran so small I wanted to be cautious in my pick for sizes. I can fix too big, but I cannot fix too small. Luckily these are spot on. They are comfortable and don't pinch anywhere. They don't ride up or slide around. They're a moderate rise and the briefs are full coverage. The green panels in the front of both are a single layer of sheer fabric and they are both finished off with huge bows in the back.

    • I had these same problems with the 65G. Wild Muses suggested the S Collette because it seems significantly more immediately projected and is more closed on top. Hoping!

    • Yep, S is not a good cut for me. I knew that when I ordered, but it's so pretty!
Colette is gorgeous! I have it in a CHP and it's a favorite.

    • I may wish I had requested the CHP Colette. Hoping for an unusually projected S. ;-)

    • I'll hope for you too!

This is a gorgeous purple bra by EM! I'm glad I was able to snag this one. The band is pretty stretchy, but the cups are narrow and projected, and open on top so it works for me in this size and would be FOT friendly. Full review on my blog!

Oh, Ewa. How I love you!

This was my first Ewa bra, and I am hooked! It is amazing -- great support, no poking, no jabbing, super supportive and well-constructed band, and perfect colour for my pasty pale self.

I am bottom-heavy with pretty bad asymmetry and this is the FIRST bra I've worn that can fill out my small side as well as not quadboob or gap ontop -- two issues I have often in moulded cups.

I highly recommend that ladies considering Ewa bras do NOT buy this in a band size down as they usually must in Freya bras or other brands that run large in the band. Ewa bras, in my experience, run perfect to size -- this bra band was 23" unstretched brand new -- and do not need to be sized down to fit.
