Due to life getting in the way, it's been a while since I've posted a new bra review. I have been babying some of my old bras for far too long and really need to find some new options. I've always been a Comexim fan, but I tried my first Ewa Michalak in 2021 (my SM Czarna Mgiełka) and I've been looking forward to exploring more cuts and styles since then. I’m excited to share this review of the Ewa Michalak S Pralinowy bra. The S cut from Ewa Michalak is described as a “padded push up” at Miseczki, the shop that generously provided me with this ...bra in exchange for my review. Miseczki – which means “bra cups” in Polish – specializes in bringing the bra-making expertise and fit of Polish brands that cater to DD+ sizes to shoppers in the US. I’m thankful that I was able to snag this S cut to finally try out since the Comexim plunge cut has never worked for me. Miseczki has also generously provided an exclusive $15 off $75 discount for my readers. You can message me for the code, or you can contact the company directly via their email (shared in my review) or any of their socials, just mention where you read the review. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 115 more words
I will try to touch all important subjects but firstly about my shape and size: I measure as a 26G - 28F and am projected, narrow root width and FOB, soft tissue.
Appearance I like the simple yet elegant fabric thats been used. It looks and feels well made. Not too keen on the rhinestone used in the middle but thats fine. It has seams and usually that doesnt bother me but I think its worth mentioning that these are very visible.
Straps: Arent fully adjustable(I wish!) and will be too long for petites. Fortunately I can get away with it when I X it at the back ...since they are removeable. Wearing this bra strapless wont work though. The non adjustable parts are quite thick.
Wire: I would say its definitely quite narrow. On the sides its not completely in my IMF but close. It goes up quite high an pokes my ribcage/underarm. Not sure if the rest of the wire sits in my IMF. Not a lot of red marks because I went up a band size.
Depth: The projection at the apex is great, immidiate projection at the wire? not so much. The cup is a bit big and I can get away with it because of that I think
Overall I hope that the poking wire gets less, because I think it gives an forward and upward lifted shape
P.s: runs about a cup size smaller Read more 132 more words
The S isn't terribly projected at the wire in this size, which is a bummer since people in the larger cups seem to love it. It's also a lot of bra for smaller frames. In theory, I like the S, but it just looks like the bra is wearing me whenever I try one.
I think the M cut is the best overall for petite people needing wire projection and wanting a padded bra; if you can get on with the low gore, maybe you'd like that cut more.
jlcl119 I got an M style bra and I like it a lot! It doesn't provide the same amount of lift as the S cut but it has great immediate projection and fits well overall! One of my best fits so far! Thank you again for suggesting it to me.
My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.
This is my second La Gloria. I exchanged my 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Bm La Gloria (1173) with this 65F because I lost a few pounds and my 65FF was too large. This one fits perfectly, and so alas... I have La Gloria back again. After deciding to sell my 65FF La GLoria, I actually purchased 65F - Ewa Michalak » Bm Crazy Bra (1174) , so I wasn't desperate for this one, but I love green bras and was happy with my crazy bra, so I couldn't resist.
The shape is actually ...fairly rounded in this one - more so on my larger side. I'm happy with the coverage and shape. It looks good under a shirt, and I can barely see the lace showing through. I'd wear it with tightish fitting shirts without too much worry. The straps adjust long enough for my short frame, and are almost all the way extended in these pictures. The cups have an inner lining that runs all the way to the top of the cup (some end before the top seam). The band is true to size for a 65, but it's too long on me, so I have it on the third set of hooks in these pictures. Hopefully it doesn't stretch out too soon, as there are only 4 sets of hooks, so I can't go much tighter. I find it very comfortable, and nothing is chaffing or scratching. The wings are a touch lower than I prefer on bras, but still decent. I don't feel like I'm falling out or anything, I'm just so low set that I prefer ridiculously tall wings.
Overall excellent quality, comfort and appearance. It'll be well loved. Read more 191 more words
I love the bright color of this bra and really was starved for some color from Ewa so I am so glad she put this out. The band, on the other hand, is utterly ridiculous. It has no stretch. It goes from 23" unstretched to 27" with a HARD pull. Honestly, I can't get it on my body because of the lack of stretch. So all pics are taken with a full extender, and that's how I wear it, and it still feels suffocating.
Otherwise I have no complaints. I don't quite fill out the very bottom of the cups, but that applies to literally every bra ever including all the Comexims, Ewa's SM, PL, and S... so I can't mark it as a fit issue or whine about it anymore unless I want to wear CH/CHP the rest of my life, and I don't. I really need a 4 part cup design in the BMs and SMs but I'm nowhere near the size range she does that for. The amount of space is about 1cm, so I deal.
I'd love a four part cup! She only does that in our size in the the SF and the stiffness of the material pretty much defeats that extra seam :(
I adore the color of Fluo on you, I wish it fit better in the band.
Oh my god. I thought you two were the same person cause of similar usernames!
I share your woes...I need a true bowl at the wire - not a deep saucer ;) I found Fluo to be less projected at the wire (and smaller cup overall) than my Antonina (and yes, much firmer band).
I have SF in Maryna and it's a lot less stiff than Gladzioch Bez and I have less wrinkling in it. I'm hoping she'll do more satin SFs this spring as well as more lace and embroidered SMs because I find my Rozmarzona heavenly.
AprilGoulding i recently got an Antonina that’s yet to be measured or reviewed & I was hoping for a similar experience as yours but while the band is TTS thank god, I find the cups just as shallow & to actually run smaller than Fluo. Sigh. Inconsistency abounds.
It's the most beautiful shade of emerald green that shimmers against the dark green knit wear and black mesh.
The black satin bows are even nice (I'm not a bow girl. I prefer buttons)
The band is TTS and apart from simply being too small for me, it's a gorgeous bra.
It's ok that it's too small - I'm glad that it is, actually, since the bras in my order coming from Ewa are all 65FF https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
It is such a gorgeous bra! It looks great on you, even with being a bit small. And you now have confirmation of the size you need, so it's a win win situation! :-D
It really is gorgeous. I ordered 70E for my mom too...fingers crossed it'll fit. I'll enter measurements later.
I think this bra is SO beautiful. I love green bras, and the shade of this one is stunning to me. Sorry it didn't fit you. If you're thinking of selling, PM me... I'd be interested in trying it.
Can you please measure this before you return it? Thanks!!
Wilderness1 of course!! I also have it in 70E. And CHP Oksana is 70DD and 75D. I'll measure them all ;)
oh awesome AprilGoulding ! Thanks. It's so nice to have the extra data!
AprilGoulding Pretty! I just saw that a bunch of Ewas in 65ff were just posted on Reddit's braswap in case you want to fill out your collection now that you are feeling more confident in your size :)
veggiechic thanks!! I think the reddit you're referring to is by user nouveax_gigi?
If so that's our very own rachaelll and they're all posted here, as well.
I'm just waiting to get my EM direct to check my size in padded styles ;)
This is stunning! I'm glad you are figuring out your Ewa sizing. :)
This is my favorite of the 3 bras from my recent order & I haven’t seen anyone review it yet, so I will! If you’re familiar with the PL cut, you’ll know how this bra fits. Moderately narrow wires, good apex projection, just enough wire projection, low low gore, cups more closed than the M. At least that’s how it fits in my size.
I knew this bra would fit based on how my Blekitna Rapsodia fits as long as they were cut the same and they are. Of course the first thing I did was take the cookies out, so I have asymmetry but oh well... I ...don’t like the extra padding. I’ve fallen hard for the PL cut, which as recently as 3 mos ago I didn’t think would work for me at all. The band on this bra is snugger than my other PL but it’s also brand new. Since I can’t seem to tolerate any compression lately, I’m using 1 extra hook on an extender until it breaks in.
Otherwise there’s nothing to complain about here, other than how pasty pale I am in my pictures no thanks to winter hanging around so long. This is easily the best fit from my order. I love the shape, the lift, the low gore. It’s girly. It’s the girliest bra I’ve owned since I shrank out of my Comexim Brigitte and I love it. I needed some pink in my life! I’m trying hard to talk myself out of adding the Princessa in a PL cut to my newest order. One pink PL is enough right? Read more 161 more words
I never wanted to try BM style as I thought its more for ladies with bigger bust and older than me. Then I saw some girls in my size and age range and I decided to buy Szmaragd. Very quickly Ive realised how wrong I was! Szmaragd (actually two szmaragds) are my best ever bras. Then I got chaberek and tajemniczy ogrod. chaberek was a disaster - all over too small for me, and the tajemniczy gives me perfect shape (Cleo's round shape). So after 3/4 successful BMs i decided that I want plain nude bra that would work on my fair skin, so Magnolia seemed to be ...best. I got it in 2 different sizes (in 70DD and 65F) as im currently between 70DD and 70E The wires are narrow - just 12.7cm - similarly as in my 70DD szmaragd however they feel better, theres no feeling of them being too narrow. The gore is low and also like in Tajemniczy is more comfortable than in Szmaragd The cup depth is perfect - 22cm works well in this style with 12.7cm wires. Theres no gapping but theres tiny bit of wrinkling, although I wouldnt say the bra is too big. However, while in 70dd tajemniczy and szmaragd I get coverage like a plunge, and in 65F something between plunge with little more coverage, the magnolia its a proper full cup - and Im not sure if I like it actually. The band is little be more snug than my 70 - well thats obvious - however I can wear it without extender - but just to save a life for this bra I will be putting extra row from extender Straps are good, but because the band is minimally too tight theyre also minimally too wide - however they do not sit in my armpits and do not cause discomfort. For couple of months probably Ill use it with 1 row form the extender. Theyre fully adjustable and matched well with the whole bra. Read more 225 more words
I really like BM too :) At first I thought the cups were too tall, they show under a lot of my shirts, but I do have enough clothes that I can wear a full cup under and BM is really comfortable for me. I can't use BM as my everyday bra, I use SM for that because of the lower cups, but I'm happy to have one in my bradrobe. I had a Szmaragd which I sold, and just got Tajemniczy Ogrod. I've also eyed Magnolia - we have similar taste :D
Oh why would you sell your szmaragd :D ! its the most beautiful bra :D ! but also tajemniczy, I love it more with every use I need to try SF cut
I thought I didn't need a BM, and while the magenta is really lovely with the emerald it's not my ideal color combo, and I was raising money to buy Rozowa Mgielka which I've wanted for months. Turns out I missed it, so I scraped together more cash to add Tajemniczy to my order :D I'm so in love with Tajemniczy, the floral and the soft pinks are divine and the fabric is so soft.
I've been eyeing SF too, but I haven't heard a lot about how the fit compares to BM or SM. I don't totally love the SF styles either - the purple is lovely, and the dark blue has that interesting design on the gore, but they just don't scream "Buy me!!" the way some other bras have. I need to try a CH since BM and SM don't have enough immediate projection for my omega boobs, but I don't really like padded bras very much.
Oh, for me Rozowa Mgielka doesn't work as good as BM style, gives me awkward shape :/ but tajemniczy is the best so far. I'm not sure about SF but I need to try it and thinking to get Roma, as the blue one is too serious for me, and purple it's not bad, but roma is interesting :)
I mean, I do get in cup quadding in 75F SM - I really should try a 75FF but I'm pretty sure those would be too big, and I don't want to get something I'll have to pay shipping to return. It's not really visible at normal angles or under clothes, so it doesn't bother me. SM is still the best fit I've found that doesn't show with a medium low neckline, which is most of my clothes.
Oh, for me my best shape is BM, then CHP, S and SM at latest. I used to own HM, which gave great shape and cleavage but the gore was way too high:/
This is the first bra I've ordered from Bra Obsessed, and the Chalet is a Bra Obsessed exclusive. Despite the color being quite a bit darker than I had expected, I still love it. Fits pretty much the same as my other PL's and I love the matching thong. I will try to get measurements up tonight, but I'm don't feel like taking of the Chalet to measure it at the moment.
As recently I started doing my dissertation, I decided to invest some money in non wired bras. Ive seen this one while looking for reviews. I am so dissappointed as this 65F fits more than a size smaller https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />((((((((( The band feels great on my 73cm underbust - it is very comfy and not tight as I was expecting - so perfect match for sleeping top but for somone with more than 70cm ub. The front is made of two layers of nice and soft fabric that dont stretch. There is 10 hooks to close - yup, best is to start from bottom! ...It makes boobs to be squeezed to the middle but its not uncomfortable! you cant even feel that! The back is made of two mesh fabrics with the top one featuring dots The strap set is good - im happy with them as arent too wide. However the length, it wont fit someone who needs long straps. The bra overall is lovely but as I mentioned it runs so small, my boobs are trying to escape from the top, Id suggest it for someone who wears 70C/D or 65DD/E Read more 87 more words
I'm so grateful for this review! I was planning on buying the same size and would've been so sad. Now I'm confused about the sizing though :/ if I wear UK 28F, what size do you think might fit me?
well, persian_kitty , Id suggest you go with your usual band size (but I guess its only on special request), depends how much you have underbust - also as a special request it may turn up (out? - whatever:D ) that it will be tighter - but all 65s that I've read about they're quite loose as it is sleeping bra and it cant be too tight while sleeping. Regarding the cups, I was hoping they will run tiny bit smaller but not that much - so I dont know if its an error or is just how this bra is made .. Im going to ask them actually!
also ive just had a look on the band and it seems like it will be very simple to make it smaller with sewing machine :)
Yes please do contact them! I was wondering that as well. I may order a 65 band for comfort then. Thanks :)
This bra was the reason why I placed my last order. At the first try I was a little bit disappointed. Not because of the look, but because of the fit. Even if I had read more reviews of “Ty wiesz” before purchasing, I wouldn’t be able to predict all the issues. Happily they're not important enough to send the bra back.
The band – it’s just a little bit looser than most of my other bras, I wear it on the second hook out of 4. Otherwise, it’s very comfortable.
The cups – this is where I am disappointed. My only SM bra, czarna mgielka, has become one of ...my favourites. It gives a very rounded and natural shape which I love. I supposed that other SM bras would give a similar shape but the both I recently ordered definitely don’t. The shape is pointy and the bottom of the cup is shallow, definitely not suitable for those who need projection. Since my breast tissue is kind of “malleable”, this is not a major problem, but the result is this pointy shape which reminds me of the 3DM Pompadour. If find the cups particularly low in this bra. It’s not perfect for my breast (I have a little quad boob), but it goes well with the design of the bra.
The straps – as already mentioned in many reviews of its twin “Ty wiesz”, “Ja wiem” has very long straps, certainly because of the double strap feature on the back. I think that the straps length should have been adjusted to this but it seems that the adjustable part of the straps has a regular length.
These issues affect a little bit the fit, but the bra is so beautiful that I’m definitely going to keep it. I love the light rose tulle. This colour matches my skin tone even better than the nude "Ty wiesz". I would love to wear it under white tops but I will certainly never dare https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
Groszki I Róże (Peas and Roses) is a discontinued CHP from 2012. The bra is made of clouds and chinchillas.
Okay, no, but it is one of the softest, if not _the_ softest, bra I've ever touched (60H - Comexim » Luna Biustonosz (293) is worthy competition though). The entirety of the set is made up of silky smooth pale mint jersey. It seems to be extremely resilient. I'm the third owner of this set (that I know of) and not a pill or a run in sight. I love the color and I think it looks really great against my cool leaning currently pale skin. ...There are giant mint bows the same shade as the bra at the gore and on the back of the bottoms. The trim is floral lace fabric. It's transparently white with black vines and bright pink and orange roses. While I appreciate the unexpected addition of it, I don't like it. It's got a very loud Ed Hardy vibe to it, in my opinion, and that is just not at all my style. I would like to replace it, but I'm not quite sure with what yet.
The band on this is quite snug measuring at about 27.5" for me. This works fine and I'm able to wear it on the loosest hooks. However, I can only fill the cups up during specific times of the month and I tend to be pretty sensitive everywhere so I wear a column of an extender for comfort. The straps are okay. They're a bit wide set, my armpits don't feel attacked but they are on high alert. They're half adjustable and not really stable in the back. The rear of the straps are smooth and silky, they adjust easily but they don't stay. I have to put them back once or twice during the day depending on how active I am. The front are thick and padded and not very stretchy, so they're comfortable enough. The wires are a touch wide for me (though 5" is within my comfort range), but they also seem to be softer than current CHP wires, so they don't dig or poke. The cups themselves are made of a softer foam. They are softly supportive and very comfortable. More breast pillows than breast platters which is exactly what I want in a PMS bra.
Overall I'm very pleased with it. It provides comfy lift when I really want it and I'm happy to have it around. Thank you, lcl0706! Read more 312 more words
I needed this bra, had to have this bra. I love this bra. This bra is awful.
So, the band is so so tight, doesn't stretch much, and the chiffony ribbon along the edge is itchy. I have to use an extender just to get it off my flesh a bit. I bought this used, but I really don't know how used it was since the hook and eyes look new and the band is so rigid. The cups are too big for me. Too big, too open, whatever. It amounts to the same, I can't fill them up unaided. So, I stuff it. One pad on my left, two ...on my right. This fixes that problem. For some reason, my bra doesn't have pockets so I have to use double sided tape to hold them in place. The straps are more of that stretchy nonsense, but they adjust well and stay put. The little split thing in the front is cute, and uncomfortable. It pinches me. The wire width is good and I find that part very comfortable. Which is good, because that's the only thing I can't tweak. Shape is up front, round and lifted as I expect from every Polish bra ever at this point.
The bottoms are a 36 (38" wide hip/31" hip bone). They fit, but they're also rigid like the bra. Maybe they'll soften up, maybe the bra will too. I haven't actually worn this for more than a few hours yet. It's too hot for it right now, especially since I have to add pads and have no cotton buffer. Thankfully I do not change size much between summer and winter, so this will have to join my Kabaretka set in my chest until fall.
I love the pattern on this. I have every book themed piece of clothing ever (including some heels that look like encyclopedia spines) I needed this set in my life and I'm keeping it. I'll drop to an A cup and stuff my husbands socks in it! I could do without the hearts, but I like that they're everywhere. Maybe I'll replace them with something else, but what?
I'm wearing the pads in every photo except for the one that says otherwise.
Also, my specific bra has a review of "Cats" and a blurb about nuclear fission. Literature, felines, and science all on a bra, awesomesauce!
Oct. 2015: I wanted to come back and add some information since I've been wearing this for awhile. The band, while still very snug, has lost some of that rigidity. It doesn't feel quite so tight and it doesn't dig in nearly as much. All the materials of the bra have softened with wash and wear. This makes it fit better and it's far more comfortable. The split strap in the front continued to stretch, chafe, and interfere with support so I removed it. The bra is still stunning without it and it now fits much better. The cups fit better and I do not need the pads for it to look nice and give good shape. I'm glad I gave it time, because this bra was truly awful and uncomfortable when I first got it. It really needed some breaking in and now it's almost as nice as my other CHPs. The bottoms have remained fairly snug through the back. They do cut into my cheek a bit still. So those are strictly for skirts/dresses. Read more 456 more words
It's my favorite to look at, but not my favorite to wear! I hope it breaks in when the weather is cooler.
Yeah I don't own it so guess its my favorite to look at too LOL Hopefully it works out for you...
It's totally normal that your bra didn't have pockets for the pads. This bra was released in AW2013, before putting pads/pockets in the CHP cut was standard.
BumbleBean I was going through the pictures on here and noticed that most didn't have pockets while some did. I didn't know they were non-standard at one point. I wonder, did they have to be requested?
I mean, seriously. I would gnaw my left arm off for this bra, and then I'd have to have someone help me put it on.
Well, I guess gnawing off your arm is an improvement over setting yourself aflame like wendybien thought you wanted.
jlcl119 Huh, you're right! I just looked through the pictures, and it looks like the 70F has pockets for pads whereas no one else does (including mine!) I wonder why that was.
I've had a few older models of the CHP and PL (before the S ever existed) and pads & pockets were not in any of the bras. The pads & pockets only became a normal feature in the last couple of years. If I remember correctly, the Gazeta was released around the same time that was sort of becoming the trend, so maybe random (or later manufactured ones) had the pads? Who knows.
Whoever thought it up needs a raise, because they're useful. Even if you don't use the pads, they could hold your lipstick.
"I mean, seriously. I would gnaw my left arm off for this bra, and then I'd have to have someone help me put it on." LOL
This bra is so comfortable. It fits perfect like all my other SMs, and I love the navy. I'm not particularly crazy about the embroidery. The lilac is pretty and looks nice against the navy, but the pattern itself is a little underwhelming. The band is nice and snug at 65. It's also very soft. It's pretty stretchy and I could probably wear the middle hook comfortably, but it doesn't ride up and I feel secure on the loosest. So I'll stay there for now. The straps are in a good place and are soft and comfortable. They're wide and I like that, they feel stable and they don't dig. The adjuster moves easily and stays in place. The underwires are perfect. Right along my root and in my fold. Totally comfortable and may as well not be there for all I can feel them. Shape is up front and center, nice and green and natural.
Oh, that looks lovely and understated to me lol. I'd be tempted if I didnt dislike my shape in the SM
Love this bra so much in both versions! Although no one wants to sell it In my size :(
I definitely need to try the SM shape at some point! This one is lovely on you! I'm incrddibly jealous of your collection :)
Thank you, ladies!
dbmamaz isn't it weird how things are so different for different people. I know we're not near each other in size, but I believe our shapes are similar, aren't they? Odd how I love the SM and you hate it.
martka00 I know! Navy is my color and a navy bra? Yes please! This was hard to find, I had to swap for it since I never saw any for sale.
PetiteCollegiate You do! It'd work really well on you I think. The SM is absolutely my favorite soft cup.
I dont hate SM, it just gives me a strange shape - square.
jlcl119 where did you find it ?:D find me one as well! :D just kidding. but if anyone has in 65E,F, 70DD,E, 75C,D I'm gonna buy it :D !
dbmamaz that's what HM does to me. Makes my boobs look like loaves of bread.
lol martka00 if I ever see another, I'll let you know. I'm on the swap/sale pages all of the time.
me too, but in poland only as in UK beside eBay and bratabase don't know anything else :(
martka00 There's a group on reddit, r/braswap and a Facebook group, Clothes for Boobs Buy/Sell/Chat/Share.
This is the second SM I acquired. After my success with the Burek, I saw this on eBay and made it mine.
Fit is typical for me and the SM. The band is good in a 65. It's made of a really soft t-shirt type jersey material, but it's thick. Looking at it and touching it, you'd think it's really stretchy but it's not. The elastic on the band is really firm and really wide. So I get less red marks with this than I do the others. The straps are a bit wider than the other SMs and are also really firm. They stay adjusted just fine. They're also ...shorter than the black ones I have, so they accommodate my high rack without having to have the adjuster all the way to the top. The cups are good. A bit on the small side perhaps. I get a bit of quadding on my left and my right is about perfect. Fine with me. I don't slip and it isn't noticeable, so I don't care. The color is a really pretty raspberry red on the band and a true red in the cup mesh.
The thong is a size 36 (38" wide hip/31" hip bone) and fit fine. They're really cute. These are stretchy though, I'd prefer a 34 in these if I could get it. Read more 114 more words
This is pretty pretty. I'm not a pink girl, especially bright candy pink. But, this really grew on me the more I looked at it and I decided I really wanted it.
NO REGRETS!
You could probably pull any review of mine of any of my other SMs and it'll apply, but it's raining and my kid won't play with me so....
The band is nice and snug at 65. I wear it comfortably on the loosest hook. The straps are comfortable and are not that super stretchy garbage of my black SMs, but are sturdy and soft like my Burek. The embroidered edges hold ...the adjuster in place well and I don't have to mess with it every time I wear it. The gore tacks and doesn't dig. The cups are a good width x depth for me and I fill it out perfect on my left and still looks great on my right. The wires sit in my fold and hug my root nicely.
Plugging Cukiereczek in a translator gets a few different results, candy, my sweet, honey. All sugary things. Whatever it really means, it's apt since it looks like a bunch of chiclets on my skin.
Bottoms are 36 in the briefs, 40 in the thong (38" wide hip/31" hip bone). I took in the sides on the thong to fit more like a 36. The briefs are just this side of snug. Hopefully they'll relax with some wash and wear like my Fiolecik pair did. Read more 141 more words
I received this bra from another bratabase user and I am beyond thrilled! This bra is such a gorgeous fabric and looks almost completely smooth under a tight fitting top which is difficult to find in a seamed cup. It gives an amazing rounded uplift and fantastic cleavage which I absolutely love. I do have to fasten this on the 3rd hook so I would say it runs a little larger or it might just be due to it being pre-owned/loved. So far 65f is my perfect size in Ewa Michalak.
Wow what a cleavage! I have tried two EM bras before but there was something wrong with the fit. This one however fits like a dream. Wire width is spot on, band isn't too tight or loose, nothing is stabbing or scratching me and I like the shape this bra gives me. I'm in a bra heaven <3
This is the first time I've bought a bra from Ewa Michalak and the experience is a good one. The bra itself is great, I bought it because I'm kind of looking for a nude bra to wear under thinner white t-shirts.
It's a pretty basic balconette bra with some nice touches. The straps are fully adjustable and have nice detailing as well as the top edges of the cups. What makes this different from bras I've tried so far is that the seams run vertically on the cups, and there are 4 rows of eyes on the closure.
In terms of fit, it fit me pretty ...well, although I have a tiny bit of gaping on my larger side which is strange. It gave a really rounded shape which I'm not at all used to considering all my seamed bras thus far have given me an uplifted, but more natural shape.
It did fail my thin white t-shirt test since I was able to see all the seams and also the top edge of the cup. I'll be saving this bra for looser fitting cotton blouses. One thing I really didn't like was the straps. Although the detailing is really pretty, it made it really difficult to adjust the straps.
Note on Ewa Sizing: I've heard that Ewa Michalak bras fit tighter in the band than most bras, and many have suggested sizing up. Cheryl from Invest in Your Chest mentioned in her review that the 65F fits like a Freya 28F (http://www.investinyourchest.co.uk/ewa-michalak-revisited). I basically followed her lead and ordered a 65F and 65FF both to try since I've fitted 28 in Freyas in the past, and the band (for this model anyway) fits great. Read more 185 more words
How does this size compare to a 30DDD? Is it the same or is the F cup the same as a DDDD cup? The cup depth measurement of 8.9" would suggest this is the same as a USA G/DDDD. I've been contemplating ordering this bra but I don't use UK sizing since it's not the same as far as cup letter goes (E.M. never got back to me regarding their size conversion =/ ) If I may give an example...if a Freya Deco fits me on the smallest hook tightly in a 28F/G (DDDD), what would that be with this bra?
I generally don't use US sizing because I generally buy British brand bras, so I'll do my best to compare. Since a US G = US DDDD then I'm assuming a US F = US DDD. Judging by the size chart here http://www.breakoutbras.com/faq a US F = UK E and US G = UK F. I currently do not own any bras in UK 30E/US 30F/US 30DDD that fit correctly. This particular size fits a bit narrower than the 65FF, but I haven't actually worn it out and about so I will update my review when I do so.
As for the band size itself. Of all the Freya bras I've owned, I've always had the 28 band size fit me on the loosest hook, and this bra fits me on the loosest hook at band size 65. If you're on the tightest hook (I'm assuming brand new and not worn down to the tightest hook), you may need to go a band size down. I've heard Deco fits bigger in the cup than most Freya bras as well, and since I don't own any Deco bras it's hard for me to judge which size you should get. What I would recommend is find your UK size and order some bras using that size (it'll show UK sizing when you change the language to English), and a couple other sizes in that range. The reality is the only way to figure out if something fits is to try it on. If something doesn't fit, you can always return it.
Oh, I also wanted to note that it's possible to get a band size under UK 28/EU 60, but it needs to be special ordered and there's no return on those bras. I also think it takes about a month to make the bra as well.
I really hope that helps.
I should probably clarify, by "I currently do not own any bras in UK 30E/US 30F/US 30DDD that fit correctly.", I mean that that size is too small for me thus far.
Was having issues uploading pics here so I turned to a bra that fits page. They said it’s the wrong shape for me. I also don’t know if I converted sizing correctly. I measure 28ff but prefer a 30 band for comfort so I’m trying out 30f right now. This bra is 65f I like how it feels. Looks good with clothes on but fabric wrinkles on the outsides. Gore digs into my sternum a bit after I’ve been wearing it a few hours. Seems like the wires might slightly.. very slightly.. sit atop a bit of tissue. I have very soft tissue that kinda just spreads out everywhere especially when laying down. Very wide spread. Bra wrinkles at the top on my smaller side and digs in at the apex near the armpit. I’m keeping it and am going to experiment more til I find my unicorn bra.
This is an aside (re: uploading pics) but have you tried switching to the old uploader? There's a link to do so on the upload page. That worked for me and my old phone.
Got it!! Thanks
the cup size is too small... the conversion of 28FF is 65FF which would make your sister sizes 30F or 70F
I think I realized that after a bit more research. I was confused with the conversion. I was thinking UK sizing instead of US sizing and I ordered the wrong size.
This is my absolute favorite bra at the moment. I am a 28FF/30F depending, so I decided to order a 65F size in this bra. Immediately upon putting it on I knew it was perfect. The shape, the size, all are exactly what I needed. This definitely has more projection than the other ones I ordered and I can see how that makes it fit me better. The color is beautiful, between pink and purple and I think my breasts sit better in unlined/lightly lined bras so this one is magical. The band measures at about 29" and this is perfect for me as I fluctuate between a 28 and 30 band.
