The day has finally come! Just kidding, this actually arrived astonishingly quickly. I placed the order on March 2 after being denied a 60G because "bra will not be holding your breast properly in a place," whatever that means... It shipped on March 10 and I received it on March 14 after DHL had told me it would arrive on the 16th. I have never had an Ewa bra arrive this quickly, and while I shy away from saying that $40 shipping could ever be worth it, the service was great.
In the interest of providing as much detail as I can, I will begin with my comments about ...the bra's construction, then discuss the fit and conclude with pros and cons and whom I think this bra might work for. Bear with me as I write A NOVEL. The fabric is very similar to SF fabric but somewhat more shimmery and with a mesh panel on top that extends from the gore most of the way to the top outer edge of the cup. The cups aside from the mesh are the only part that uses the SF-like fabric, as the rest of the band and the wings are mesh. The straps are, as advertised, convertible, and there are 3 hooks rather than the usual 2. The straps are attached in the back, while the front ends are free, using little J-hooks to attach in your desired location. These J-hooks don't go on tightly enough for the straps not to slip out of them if you're not careful, particularly if you're wearing the straps normally and not crossed, which irritated me when I was first putting on the bra. If I was keeping this I would definitely want to take some pliers to the hooks to make them fit tighter, because they're in danger of slipping off even while just taking the bra off.
About me: I am very projected with even vertical fullness but have very short roots that make me functionally full on bottom in addition to being low set. My smaller side is slightly narrower and more projected than my bigger side. I have a bony sternum that makes high gores painful; I can tolerate Ewa Michalak CHPs/PLs but not SFs/BMs/any Comexim gore/even some UK plunge bras. I am splayed/wide set but somehow have enough tissue in the center for tall gores to sit on it slightly. The ABTF calculator gives me 26GG/H UK (I find that the H is an overestimation) and my best UK size in store is 28G; my best fits are Ewa Michalak 60G CHP bras or occasionally 65FF CHPs if I fasten them on tighter hooks.
To state the obvious, this bra is too small in the cup for me. As usual, lighting is an impediment to really seeing the fit issues, but you can see my quadboob in the closer-up images. The stretchy mesh may help, but I think I'm simply too big for it to do much. When I thoroughly scoop and swoop, the fabric on my bigger side folds on itself. I was pleasantly surprised not to have gapping on top, which can happen to me even in a bra that would otherwise fit fine in the cup due to my short roots. The cups are narrow enough for my bigger side and a little narrower than EM's padded cuts. Unfortunately, I experienced wrinkling at the bottom just like with the SF bra I used to own due to insufficient immediate projection. It's not crazy severe in this case, but definitely noticeable. I have a lot of immediate projection and am just on the border of being pendulous, but my CHP bras sit in my IMF.
I think that going up a cup size to a 65G would mitigate if not eradicate the quadboob, but I'm not sure whether the cups would still sit on breast tissue on either side of my sternum. I don't currently have a BM bra to compare it to because BMs are like my personal torture devices, but based on the BM I have owned in the past, I believe it runs slightly smaller in the cup and has slightly narrower wires. The band definitely runs big, stretching to almost an inch bigger than any other 65FF I own including the secondhand ones and the CH Cherry that I feel runs big in the band. I believe it is also slightly stretchier than other EM cuts. The band is noticeably loose on the loosest hook but would probably fit on the tightest or second tightest.
I really appreciated the low gore of this bra and think it would be great for others like me who suffer from the distressing inability to wear normal height gores. The convertible straps help with this brand's love for the widest set straps ever, but the cups still cut into my armpits slightly (not enough to be uncomfortable). The silhouette it gives me is not my favorite - a hint pointy - but I really prefer padded bras anyway so you might find it very flattering on you. It doesn't seem to be a "cleavage-y" bra like the pictures on the website suggest, but maybe it would be if the cups fit me better?
Unlike a lot of tall/full cup bras, I don't think you need to be FOT or have tall roots in order to not gap in this, but I'm not positive since it's too small in the cup. It does not have much immediate projection and might be less immediately projected than SFs, though I would say the overall fit is probably most similar to an SF. It seems like a great option for a plunge neckline but I suspect that the cups would be more full-coverage in the center in the correct size, so the plunge part of the neckline would have to be narrow. My pet peeve with this bra is the loose J-hooks, which can almost fall off if you touch them too forcefully. If you tighten the straps well, I don't think this would be an issue during wear, but it is definitely an issue while putting the bra on and taking it off.
Please feel free to comment with questions if you're curious about this cut and I will do my best to answer!
TLDR: Fabric like an SF with more mesh. Runs big/stretchy in band, small in cup despite stretch mesh. Possibly slightly narrower but less immediately projected than other EM cuts. Super low gore great. Loose J-hooks bad. Not ideal for all plunge necklines. Not sure about accommodating close set breasts because cups too small. Me sell bra now. Read more 996 more words
I feel the same way about this bra. In theory, it's an amazing concept. It may need a little bit more work shopping to be great. I've seen several photos of it looking great and giving great cleavage but it fits similarly on me as it does in your photos. I recently ordered another one a cup size up to see if it helps with immediate projection. I'm determined to find a decent fit in this bra since it's the closest I've gotten to a well fitting unlined plunge and I need a very low gore. I wish I could get it in a 60 band because it's so stretchy. The J-hooks I've experienced with Ewa have all been different. Mine stay put easily after a few wears but slipped the first time I was putting it on. I've tried the cappucinowy in a few sizes now and two sets of the attachable straps have been too loose and one set was closed when it arrived and I had to open it with pliers. I think it's minor differences in the metal since they're probably mass produced. I do prefer this strap style over the older removable straps that were much wider and affected the overall construction/depth of the bra. I hope she makes some adjustments over time and finds the right construction. Going back into the earliest Ewa Instagram posts you can see the first BM styles and the changes that have been made so I'm hopeful for some PLM adjustments!
WildWolff thanks so much for your super helpful earlier review btw! I used to have a CHP Cappucci-nowy with the removable straps and they stayed on much better, so I guess it's just a manufacturing thing. I like the cross back capability too. I wish I wasn't doomed to never have cleavage in unlined bras...I mightttt try a 65G in that deep pink PLM she posted on Insta the other day but I'm not sure because the band is definitely too big for me. I guess I'm better off just dropping a bunch more money on a custom 60G CHP since my CHPs are all I wear.
I wish she would sell more PLMs! I've emailed asking for other styles and she said more will come with no other detail. I like the stretch lace/mesh cups she makes more than the fabric styles of BM/SF so I'm hoping an Antonina or similar PLM will fit better. I have to pad my BM gores with two cotton balls and it's still uncomfortable. But other brands and styles don't fit the same as Ewa bras. When I was measuring at 65F/FF the gores on BM and SM bras were okay for me and I had great cleavage but they're too high for me in larger cups.
I posted my last comment without realizing there were three PLM posts on Instagram! I had seen one of the pink sets on my timeline but not the other two posts. And one is the Antonina so now I'm excited to see when they go on the website for sale.
Bummer it wasn’t a win due to size. I also had some loose hooks and had to close them with pliers. Now they work perfectly. Hopefully if you size up you can get a better fit.
WildWolff OMG! I saw the hot pink version also! I’m obsessively clicking her website to see when it’s available. Tho I’m not sure if it’s a regular bra or a swimsuit? I need to go look at it again. But I’m loving the black one, especially when my bad shoulder is acting up. Cross straps really help.
Happy2BraShop I didn't think about swimsuits! Either way I will probably order lol the darker pink set reminds me of the BM Michelle which was on my list for a while but I didn't get it in time. So now I'm set on ordering early for this one! If you sign up for the email newsletters you'll get an email when new collections drop.
Thank you for this detailed and helpful review! Sorry it didn’t work out for you. So weird that the band is stretchy. I’ve found 99% of her bras have too tight bands!
WildWolff I think the hot pink might be just a bra! Even if you missed out on a bra, you can always email and ask if they have any fabric left to make one. That’s how I got my Ice Blue and Heaven in the next size up. I think when I place another order I’ll ask if they are considering making a bathing suit version to at least maybe drop the idea and hint at it lol. I know I’d buy one.
Happy2BraShop as soon as I noticed there were only a couple sizes left in Michelle I emailed about it and they said they didn't have the fabric left. I wasn't upset about it because fit is hit or miss for me with the BM style. The lace/mesh cups aren't painful at the gore but the stiffer fabric cups are very painful. I haven't figured out why.
WildWolff I’ve noticed a stiffer fit with both BM and SF’s that are made using the thicker fabric vs the usual lined lace cups. I partly wonder if the stiffer fabric restricts the wires and cups from flexing like the lined lace?
Happy2BraShop It may be that the lace fabric has a little more give to it. I've tried two BMs with the thicker fabric and they're so painful at the gore even if I pad it with cotton balls. With the lace cups the wires sit on tissue in the center a little but it's not uncomfortable and I can wear them for a full day. It seems to be specific to Ewa wires, I can wear Gorsenia with lace or fabric cups and the wires sit on tissue but are not painful until I wear it for over 10 hours.
Thanks for the thorough review, moonshineforest ! Have you considered sending Ewa Michalak your quadboob photos? Maybe that would convince them you know your size, for future orders.
How different are the mesh and main body fabric in stiffness? I have a problem with half-padded, half unpadded bra cups. The line where the two fabrics meet always make me look like I have four breasts. I realize Plm Le Noir isn't padded, but your pictures make me think the line where the two fabrics meet might have a similar effect on me.
learningaboutbras so I think the reason she denied me a 60G probably had more to do with the construction of the bra than her not believing my size, since I've ordered a bunch of 60G bras before with no issue. With regard to the cups, the mesh is definitely stretchier than the opaque fabric but I don't think that the cup cuts in where the two meet like, for example, Cleo Marcie always did on me. It's certainly possible that it could though.
Only the cup volume is the same in 60G and 65FF, so it would still have quadded in the 60G. It’s a neat style for sure, but I think it’s not for everyone.
Calluna yep, that’s why I said I would go up a cup size to a 65G. I doubt I’ll bother though. I’m thinking about a custom CHP Kleks to spend my money on instead.
moonshineforest , thanks for the analogy! Cleo Marcie did work on me in terms of no quadboob looking indentation. I loved the shape it gave me. I had to leave it behind once I realized regular height gores were resting on breast tissue. I may try Plm Le Noir then.
WOW!!!!!!! And, OMG....WOW!!! Lol! This bra is BEYOND sexy!!! I love it! I wasn't sure if the 65FF would fit as nicely after not having the same luck with the Czarna Mgielka and Kusidelko in a 65FF. And with my Wanilla being a perfect fit in the 60G, I wasn't sure what to expect. But this bra fits like a glove!! Like it was made for my girls https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I was only able to upload a couple pics, the site wasn't cooperating. I've been having a lot of trouble lately trying to upload my pics. It's been taking forever, or it says ...the site is under maintenance. I'll try again a little later.
I will say, tho, I thought this bra was more of a pink color. But it's not. It's def a tannish nude, like the Kusidelko and Nana Bezowa. I was a bit upset when I took the bra out of the package and noticed one of the rhinestones was missing on the adjustable strap - not like Ewa to slip up like that. But no biggie. I did have to tighten the straps a great deal, they seemed a bit longer than usual, but I think it has to do with the design of the back of the straps. I also had to hook the band on the second to last hook. The band seems a bit stretchier than usual, but it could just be me. The width of the wires are perfect, the depth of the cups are perfect. The gore tacks nicely and isn't a problem. I really have no complaints about this bra at all. And it was surprisingly very comfy!!! I only tried it on for a few minutes, though. But such a lovely bra, and it gives a nice shape as well. Very very pleased https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I also bought the matching briefs with this, and I didn't have the same luck with those. They were too big and baggy for me, seemed a bit on the larger side for a 36.
But I highly recommend this bra!!! If you're really looking for something SUPER sexy, stylish, supportive AND comfy, this is that bra!!!! Read more 265 more words
WOW Is an understatement! This looks phenomenal on you. :)
Aw, thank you!!! This bra has absolutely exceeded my expectations :)
Congratulations on this awesome looking bra! You really rock it :)
oooohhhhhhh!!! So pretty!
I'm seriously questioning my decision to not purchase this bra. It looks incredible on you!
This is absolutely gorgeous on you! Ugh to have the upper fullness to make something like this look good... Oh well, Ewa will probably come out with more bondagey ones since these have done so well.
Thank you ladies :) If you've been considering purchasing this bra, DO IT!!! Haha!!! So far, everyone I've seen it on looks amazing! And the little straps above the cup are adjustable, so it could definitely work with less upper pole, I would think. This is my absolute FAV EM bra right now!!!!!
It's so amazing!!! And looks great on you! I've read somewhere that it runs smaller, is it true?
Thank you :) I wouldn't say that it runs small, but true to size. I usually wear a 65FF in EM, and this was no different. Other EM bras I've tried (SM unlined) in a 65FF didn't fit as nicely and perfectly as this one does.
oh such shame! i love it so much but have to pass on it :(
It looks so so so amazing on you! :D Holy moly i am in loooove with it for you! I have it too but i like it better on you lmao!
Aw, Gogobee! Lol!! Thank you. I'm sure it looks fantastic on you! I LOVE your girls ;) So jealous. Haha.
I ordered this bra and the matching thong through MagdaBras4you 's first EM group order. It arrived today and I could not be happier about it. The shipping to Canada was very fast and Magda provides exceptional service. I will be ordering all my EM bras through Magda in the future.
This set is stunning - the red lace is VIBRANT and perfect for Valentine's day. It is definitely a date-night bra and one that I would have hidden in the back of my drawer in high-school. Although I have never owned a red bra before I am confident that this won't be my last. ...I didn't think that red would be complementary to my Canadian ghost-like complexion, but am pleasantly surprised but how nice it looks on.
There isn't much information about this bra on bratabase currently. Which surprises me because it is a stunning, excellent fitting bra. In terms of size and fit, this bra is consistent with the other M bras I have tried in the same size. The cups are narrow and deep with exceptional immediate projection, the gore is low and unobtrusive, and the plunge cut is deep, but yet, somehow feels very secure. I love the shape profile this cut gives me. It is round, but not as round as the CHP, and maintains a naturalish, very upfront shape. I've added a close-up side profile photo to show this shape profile.
This is perhaps the most stunning bra I have ever had. The red lace is vibrant and delicate; the lace detailing on the cradle and band really make this bra look special. The findings on this bra as a very dark navy - as is the embroidery on the red lace - and the contrast is really lovely. In photos of the PL and S version of this bra the findings appear to be black, but I like the navy much better. I think it adds a little uniqueness to the bra.
The one detailed review of this bra currently on Bratabase is from 2016 and emphasized that the band of this bra runs very tight - perhaps up to two sizes. This detail is consistent with other older reviews of M bras that I have read. Given this, I was a bit nervous about what size I should order. I have a 27" inch underbust and prefer tight bands, but was worried that a 65 might be too tight for comfort. I am happy to report that I was wrong - the 65 band is absolutely perfect. In my opinion, it fits like a true 60 band. Based on the other M bras that I was tried, it seems like the bands in this model currently run one size small - but not two. The stretched measurement of the band on this bra are within a centimetre of the 2016 70D. Perhaps EM has changed the pattern for this model. Read more 386 more words
I love this! It looks great on you and the detailing!
I can not understand why this bra isn't more popular - it is so gorgeous!
Because Ewa model photos often don't do the bra color and details justice. I have several bras that weren't "wow" to me until I saw them in person.
MamaPagan I think you are precisely right. Some of the colours and texture of the lace are quite hard to capture - especially with a iphone camera. Also, your SF Arlekin is outrageously gorgeous, but the CHP on EM's site has never appealed to me.
Wow, wow, woweeeeeee!! Va va va voom!!
I just got my 65S Magnolia. Uploading pics now
AprilGoulding I hope its a perfect fit. I love the Magnolia fabric
Another beautiful one! Looks stunning on you! Love the colour.
You look spectacular in it!😍
Thank you for the kind words.🙂 I am always ready to help. Will there be willing for the next group order?
I love my PL Carmen which is like the sister to this one, only mine has black accents for sure. My band is definitely tighter because it is lace covered. Do you think that it’s a different shape from the PL? More uplifting or more forward projection?
Calluna it's hard to say. I've only tried 1 PL (65FF) and it wasn't a great fit for me. The wires felt too wide, I had quadding and I didn't get a great shape. While the cup width measurements of the M are the same, or wider than the PL, it follows my shape much better and does not fit wide. While the M is more lowcut, I don't quad, and feel very secure. The M also (in my very limited data sample) seems like it has more immediate projection and apex projection. These things combined give me a better, rounded shape. But, again, this could just be that the PL I tried was a rogue cut or that my shape is a better match with the M. I would be very curious to know what others think about the cuts. Sonya I think you have tried both cuts, do you have any wisdom on the intricacies of the M vs. PL fit?
Hmm.. The M bras I've tried were borderline too small when I got them, but I hopefully will have a better fitting one soon. They are pretty similar to the regular plunges, I think, but made for smaller frames. The biggest difference I noticed in fit (besides the tighter band) was the M has less coverage. As in your nipples are barely covered. And it has great immediate projection. I'm not sure if it has more than regular plunges, but it might.
This is one of two bras that Sonya sent to me for Bra Science. Initially, she offered to send me a 30G/65HH Comexim Jade Plunge, but offered this in addition, as I hadn’t tried any CHP bras at that point. I had no idea how the size or shape would be for me. Aesthetically, this bra isn’t a style I’d normally pick for myself, but it was the fact that it was a 65FF CHP which was new to me is why I agreed to get it sent with the Comexim.
The bra is a very pale pink material with very small black polka dots, ...black lace edging the top of the cup, a small black satin bow at the gore, and a sort of faux corset lace up in the middle cup section of the 3 pieces which are edged in black ribbons with a smaller thin pale pink ribbon threaded or weaved through (this ribbon style is also covering the straps). There’s a standard U back/leotard back, in black to contrast. Lastly, the foam cups are lined with cotton cookie pockets that cover the lower portion of the cups. I’ve heard about the infamous CHP cookie pockets and being notoriously hard to use by contrast to the PL and S styles, but I don’t think I was fully prepared for the hell that these are. I almost decided not to bother with trying to remove them, but for bra science and fit, I had to. What I wasn’t aware of is how the pockets have some kind of mesh with a little slit in the center which faces the inside of the bra cup. I was afraid that I’d damage the slit in removing them. I know that it’s been described in reviews before but I couldn’t picture it. Maybe I’d never seen or what I had seen was only part of it? The cookies themselves are a little oddly shaped, sorta like fish with no tails. I really don’t understand why this is the pocket style of choice for this model. Why, Ewa, WHY?
I actually like some of the aesthetics of this bra, but not all. I love polka dots for a start. While I am not a huge pink fan, I do like the contrast with the black dots and black lace trim on the top of the cups and the ribboning on the straps. The pink is actually pretty nice with my skin tone, I think. The part that I really dislike is the faux corset lace up look on that middle cup panel. I feel like it distorts the appearance of my boobs or something. I don’t know. I prefer the look of this style in the M cut the best.
When I initially tried the bra on, I had not adjusted the straps and had a bit of obvious quadding, though upon loosening them, the cups do still appear to be a little bit small. I was also a few days pre period, so now that I am a few days into my cycle, I fell like it’s maybe still a bit small but I really don’t know if I can pull off a 65G(!). I have noted which pictures have the cookies. I honestly don’t think that it’s a significant difference between the two looks but maybe it’s a size issue. I’m getting a pretty nice rounded shape which is less minimizing than the Comexim 3HC. This band does feel pretty good, and the straps seem ok, but like all Ewas, slightly wide for my frame. I am even more hesitant about a 65G because of the straps. I lack the ability to sew and move the straps in but maybe I can ask the lady at the bras shop near me since she allegedly can do alterations.
While there are many redeeming qualities of this bra, it’s ultimately not my favourite CHP style, and the size is still questionable whether it’s a size small still. I will be returning it to Sonya with thanks of gratitude for sending it to me to try. I’m tempted to try a 65G given rachaelll ’s success with the one she got recently (but had to alter the straps on). Read more 604 more words
I agree it is too small in the cup, but does still look good on you. I love the look the CHP gives, but I am sized out of the style..theOh well, I can't have them all!
I don’t know if it is too small exactly but I think the gore is too wide at the bottom for you and there’s not enough center room. Ewa would say that it looks really good except for the band lol.
I agree it looks a bit small. But as usual, photos can be deceiving, what matters is how you feel.
It could be a simple case of what cupandahalf says... just a mismatch.
cupandahalf "Ewa would say that it looks really good except for the band" Too true! You know that is exactly what she would say! Haha!
I think a 65G with cookies might be a slightly better fit. This size sort of works but looks a smidge too small.
I think it looks pretty good, but I also think I'm biased because the "too small" seems to be the look Ewa is going for with this cut.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the gore is just a little bit too wide at the bottom for me as well, which I was nervous about with it and the HM I was considering getting. It’s kind of reminiscent of the Freya Kiyoko Half Cup which was also a huge fail...that was also pinkish with black polka dots. Ooooohhhh. Spooky. Lol!
The gore does actually match my unsupported splayed shape though, but it would be better if it was a touch narrower for me. And it’s how it fits supported that counts. Though this might be what is making me feel like I am slightly east-west in this and not as forward facing as I’d like to be. So maybe a narrowed gore alteration is needed.
I will consider a 65G or 70FF and consider the alterations to the bra for it to fit me better. I think that I might be better off in Comexim 3HC even though it’s a bit minimizing. But I’m going to try another CHP for bra science.
I second cupandahalf The gore looks too wide. The wider gore is exactly what I LOVE about the CHP because I'm wide set (more than 2 fingers between my girls top to bottom). I also agree with MamaPagan and Sonya in that the cup is just a smidge too small. But just a smidge. 65G with cookies might fare better and you'll get more coverage. However, it is open at the top, so you also might get gaping, given your shape. Cakes on a plate, boobs in your face, is what you're supposed to have with CHP. It's a sexy sexy cut.
AprilGoulding The CHP is not made for folks with a sloping upper root shape, I fear the 65G will just be too tall and cover her completely.
I feel it would greatly depend on the model she buys (as they do vary) and the seamstress of the day unfortunately......
Sovavosi thats my worry, aside from the straps being too wide, and possibly a wider gore with a 65G. I feel like I might be in between the sizes the way Wilderness1 is.
MamaPagan do you have suggestions on what models of CHP in 65G might work? I know that there’s an Oksana in the listings unless it’s sold since I last checked. I also like the Opium. But of the current batch of CHPs, I’m not super fond of many. Unless it’s a different style made into a CHP.
Thanks all! I suspect that it’s not quite the right cut for me unless it’s altered.
And yes, too tall and too wide gore were among the problems that I faced in the Kiyoko. :(
Calluna I know it's not the ideal look, but some of the CHPs can bend over the top slope and just look like a full coverage bra. You still get the same round effect under clothing.
I’ve messaged th user with the 65G Oksana for cup height.
I have very little experience with the CHP, and never got a comfortable/ ideal fit myself, so unfortunately I have no suggestions as to which would work better. Sorry honey!
Calluna yeah, I wanted the CHP to work so badly, and I tried a few different ones in different sizes... but my short roots just didn't want to cooperate with it. Sad, because I wanted that cakes-on-a-plate, front and centre, va va voom look that others get in it. Maybe a 65G would work for you, but yeah... it may end up being too big/tall and open. It's always worth a try for bra science though!
I added a few more pictures from today. Cookies are in because I couldn’t be arsed to take them out, but it’s cycle day 5 so definitely in low tide for now. Taking the cookies out might just barely work, but I don’t notice a huge difference between them in and out.
Ok. So...I was wearing my 65G CHP Red Wine and just took it off. Measuring cup height (from the start of the actual cup at the inner edge of the wire, to the top at the 2nd seam - the longer one- is 17cm on the outside of the bra. The gore at the top is 1.75cm and 4cm at the bottom. Cup depth measured on the outside of the bra, draped over my knee is 24 cm. My 65FF HM Sekret Wiktori is 15cm high on that exact same seam. And the depth is 23.5cm. Top of gore is 1.75 and bottom of gore is 5 cm. These 2 bras are different cup sizes, but I find the fit the same, due to the padding on the CHP. They're both very open at the top and have a splayed gore. I hope this helps you, Calluna
P.S. the band on the HM is mesh and much more easily stretched than the knit-wear band on my CHP. I love that HM and will wear it to its death.
AprilGoulding please make sure you add the data into the database so the info is easily available to all who utilize the db. Thank you!!
I actually think that if you took cookies out, it would probably fit pretty well right now Calluna .Definitely try before sending this bra away.
MamaPagan done!! ;) I couldn't believe I hadn't added my HM measurements. I usually do them :(
Wilderness1 ok. I will try it without the cookies now. I will still be returning it to Sonya though because I don’t really like the style of this one all that much...I dislike the lace up corseted look in the middle of the bra panels. But it was graciously sent to me to see if it fit (size and shape). So, mission accomplished on that front, and now it will go back. The Jade (review is pending) I am not sure about yet which is why I still have both at the moment.
Calluna I even went back and measured the distance between the straps. On my 65CHO it is 26cm. On my 65FF HM its 27cm
Thanks. Can you go and add measurements to the chp as well so I can see the comparison with this one?
I added a few new pictures today. I’m cycle day 4, so just at the end of my period. I removed the cookies from both sides. I feel like I fit into the cups better so I don’t know if I would fit into the 65G with the cookies or not. I feel like the top of the cup on my small side is just rounding over the tissue. Looking at the pictures again, I still feel like I am being splayed a bit east west, but I can’t say if it’s the particular style or the cut or if it’s the gore. And I think that I might have this problem with other bras too. But it’s definitely a better fit in low tide with no cookies in. I might consider a 65FF in a different style, but would still be curious about the 65G even though I worry that it’s going to be too big and/or tall. Appreciate any feedback on this last batch of pics.
I get the E-W on most of Ewa padded bras as well, so you may be right that the issue would most likely carry over to other bras. Aside from that concern, it looks like a good fit with the updated photos, so at this point in your cycle, the 65G may be a bit too big, though with cookies or at a fuller point it could work. With the inconsistency of Ewa production lately, it's no guarantee either way unfortunately. Sorry :-/
Looks like this is a good low tide bra. If it’s comfy you might keep it for that time.
5'3, 28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.
Look: Can you say let them eat cake!? This bra gives off serious Marie Antoinette vibes. The embroidery is so feminine and expensive looking! The previous owner removed the bows on the straps, and I must say it was the right call. The tulle is a teensy bit too dark to be a nude on me, but it works. Holy cakes on a plate, batman! Once everything is adjusted, and I've scooped and swooped, my boobs are up to my neck. AND THEY STAY THERE! I feel like Keira Knightley in ...any of her movies. Inhale, boobs up, exhale, boobs down (but not really). Oddly enough, the cups are open enough on top that I don't get any quadding, my boobs just go up and in, not over the top of the cups. It gives a slightly minimized and boxy shilouhette from the sides.
Fit: This bra is narrow and pretty projected. The straps are a bit wide set, but they don't rub my armpits, I just have to angle the straps in. The straps are also super long, they could easily accommodate someone lower set or taller than me, for the first time in awhile, the straps need to be adjusted to the top of my shoulders to fit properly. I'm usually super close to the end of the straps on my Comexims. There is slight wrinkling on the bottom and sides of the cups, but it dosen't really interfere with the fit. I've only tried 1 60 band EM bra (60FF SF Nibynic) and the band felt super snug (maybe due to the cups being 1-2 sizes too small?), and the other 65 bands I'd tried were quite used and stretched, I'd expected them to be loose. So I'd just assumed that EM bands ran small, wrong, this 65 definitely fits like a 30 and I have to start it on the tightest hook to get an almost snug fit. It's the only downside to this beautiful bra. I'm having a hard time deciding to keep it and buy some rixie clips or pass it on to someone else. If anyone has this or another HM in 60G or 60GG, I'd love to swap for this one or buy it, lol. Read more 281 more words
Looks great on you and the colour really is gorgeous!
Very lovely!!
I have this and like it quite a lot! I also don't feel like it's super lifted, but certainly very round and projected.
I was always curious about this one, and it looks great on you! Glad for the review.
Apparently I can't edit, but the straps on that should be fully adjustable. If you have a rat tail comb (or something similar) wiggle the top loop loose (the one on top) and then it should be easier to make the straps shorter. Just fyi for next time. :)
Thanks everyone! So glad I didn't give up on it when it didn't work out at first. Definitely an awesome bra. gratiat You're right, they are!! Thanks to your tip about the comb, I was able to get the green half of the straps through the loops. Took me about 5 minutes to do because the stitching made the straps stiff and thick but it finally gave in. Tried it on after and the lift is definitely improved, too. Just when I thought I couldn't like this bra more... You're a lifesaver, haha. Thanks! :D
I had to do that with my Syrena. It's amazing how much difference just a little adjustment can make. On the upside, they don't slip during wear.
This bra is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. The mint with black lace overlay is both sexy and sweet. There's a beautiful black satin bow on the center gore with gem detailing. The straps are black with a smooth finish and fully adjustable. The cups are a very deep plunge and where the strap meets the cup doesn't bother my armpits at all and also has a small black satin bow. The backband is quite stretchy and I have to wear this on the tightest set of hooks. There are two rows and four columns of hooks on the backband.
*All pictures were taken with the cookies in the cups.
I was so excited to get this bra in the mail! Finally a new CHP from Ewa Michalak, and in a really pretty color! Hopefully, since it's a brand new model, this review is helpful to others who are interested in it. I have a 60G CHP Cappucci-nowy and a 65FF CHP Marcepanowa Magnolia. The 60G is a good fit, though recently the band has been a little tight for me. The 65FF is a bit too big/open on top for me, so I add an extra insert on my smaller side (in addition to the two inserts that came with it). In the case of this bra, I ...have the same issue but more dramatically ― it's more like my CH Cherry in terms of openness on top. For context, I have even vertical fullness but short roots. I tightened the straps of this bra to try to help with that, but the notorious Ewa Michalak straps are as wide-set as usual, so tightening them doesn't really help. I may order a 65F next time, though the 65Fs I've tried from EM have consistently been definitely too small. The design is beautiful. I love this rich, almost reddish purple, and the black and white pattern on the tops of the cups reminds me of Art Deco. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I find the three buttons on the gore very cute ― I sometimes find that Ewa Michalak "does too much" with her bras, adding straps and lace and mesh and this and that when I prefer more simplicity, so the fairly simple but very stylish design of this bra really works for me. The band is definitely loose, as I'm already fastening it on the second-tightest hooks, but I prefer tight bands and I'm closer to a 26 than a 28 so true 28s or those who don't like tight bands will probably have a better time. The band fits similarly to my 65FF Marcepanowa Magnolia but slightly looser. As with my other CHPs, there is enough immediate and overall projection for me, and the wires stay very close to or in my IMF all day. The wires could be a hint narrower, but since it's a padded bra, I don't notice/it's not an issue. I love this bra and I'm not too sad that it's too open on top for me (I'm way more disappointed in the 65F SF Iris that I also ordered that ended up being a total flop) because adding the extra insert helps. I will definitely wear this a lot! Read more 316 more words
It is a gorgeous color and if the cookies work then woohoo and use them. :-)
For me, I always sized down in the CHP from my BM/SF size, which was 2 cups down from my S/PL size. It gave a nice rounded lift without the cookies, and I don't remember the straps being an issue, though I can't say for sure.
As long as you have some squish to your breasts, the CHP will allow for sizing down for the extra oomph.
So beautiful! I was thinking of asking if this can be done as a PL as I think I do better with them than CHP, but I’ve only tried one so I don’t know if it was the exception or norm.
This bra looks gorgeous. Looks great on you! Thanks for posting measurements and so many photos. I definitely want to try it now. Thanks for mentioning the size differences MamaPagan I didn't realize it might be best to size down in some of the styles!
braluv It all is dependent on the person and their breast tissue, but yes, it sometimes helps!
braluv It all is dependent on the person and their breast tissue, but yes, it sometimes helps!
Nice "deep" color - for a moment I taught it was an overlay ;)
And I'm with you for the buttone, they add a delicious retro touch.
I am a sucker for lacey nude bras. When I saw this model, I knew I would have to buy it. It is both practical and sexy. While the lace is quite intricate, it does lay flat under t-shirts and passes the white t-shirt test. I've included a photo of the bra under a white t-shirt to illustrate its functionality as a nude bra.
There is not much data about this bra - or the M Scarlett (same style but in red lace) in the upper limits of the size range despite it being an older model. So, of course, I had to order it from ... class="mentioned-item mu-40143">MagdaBras4you for bra science. Magda as always is a pleasure to work with and her prices (shipping in particular) are significantly cheaper than direct orders of padded bras for Canadian girls.
The fit of this bra is identical to the 65FF M Carmen. TLDR - it has narrow, deep cuts, great immediate projection, a low gore and gives a rounded, yet, natural shape.
The band on this bra, like the M Carmen, fits functionally as 60. This band is slightly shorter and fits perfectly firm on my 27" ribcage. This bra has a full lace band which makes it firmer than the mesh band of the XOXO and the mesh lace band of the Carmen. Sonya if you did order this bra - I think you will love the band. Ladies who need a true 65 band will want to size up to a 70.
Once again, I am delighted by the M cut. It is an unsung hero for ladies with mid-range busts and small rib cages. Read more 174 more words
It's beautiful, and looks like a great match for your skin tone.
This looks amazing on you- beyond gorgeous! What a perfect nude for you! I am so happy I ordered this one.
Sonya I thought of you when it arrived today! I think you are going to love it. The band is just heaven.
So gorgeous!!! So gorgeous.
I wonder if they'd do a 70FF for me? Hmmm. My 65S fits great though, so I'd be reticent to experiment with non-returnables.
AprilGoulding I wonder if EM would do a 65G S for you in this lace? Perhaps Magda can convince them
Looks very pretty on you rachaelll !
Wilderness1 have you tried an m? I wonder if it would work on you? We seem to have a similar shape
rachaelll I found the M to be a bit pointy on me. Of course, when I tried it, I was also between sizes, so maybe in a smaller size it wouldn't have looked quite so pointy. I didn't mind it, but it wasn't my most favorite shape. Ewa Michalak bras are hit and miss with me, largely because I'm in between sizes. The BM in 65FF worked out well, but if I lose any weight between now and when it arrives (in like 2 months), it will probably start looking pointy on me too. Ah sigh. I do love EM bras but they don't always love me.
Wow, another amazing bra! It looks wonderful on you. 💙
Wilderness1 I have a 70F M Syrena if you ever want to try it on
rachaelll thanks for the kind offer, but the M I had was a 70F also.
Love how it looks on you!
You look wonderful in it!🌻 Thank you for the opportunity to cooperate. I am always ready to help. Girls, are we making another group order? Are they willing?
Do you find that it is tighter than your xoxo? Stretched band on the xoxo was 28” and here it is 26” or so, so even smaller than a 60 which should be a 28 UK equivalent. I think that I would definitely need at least a 70, possibly 75, depending upon the band construction. I know that she’s mentioned that the bands run small and tight with the M, so if that’s the case, why does she not fix it? She’s the designer. Doesn’t she have a say? Just random thoughts.
Calluna the band on the perlowy feels firmer and is shorter than both the XOXO and Carmen even though the unstretched measurement is the same. It is a full lace band with powermesh underneath. I suspect that in layering these fabrics, the total stretch capacity of the band is reduced. Powermesh usually has a 40 - 30% stretch capacity, but when layers this can be significantly reduced depending on the stretch direction and capacity of the layered lace fabric. The lace on the Carmen appears to be a light mesh lace rather than the heavier lace on the perlowy. The Carmen lace likely has greater stretch - making that band slightly longer. The Xoxo and Syrena have just a single layer of powermesh for the band.
I wonder if in part the firmness of the band is purposeful on EM's part. Given that this cut is designed for petite women with small to medium busts, perhaps there are a number of customers who like me want a 60 band and are happy to purchase a 65 rather than order a custom bra.
I don’t know. I mean, it’s forcing people to sister size up. Why not make a 65 band fit like a 30...if it’s a bit snug, ok, but why like 1-2 sizes tight? And yes, I totally forgot about the lace covered band making it even tighter.
But really, a 65/30 band fitting like a 55/26? I think that it’s crazy and she has the ability to correct it instead of just saying it fits tight. Maybe I am cranky. Lol.
I guess if it’s only one band size tight, it’s not as bad, but two bands is a bit ridiculous to me. And why not actually label them as they fit per the petite medium busy range?
Oh man. I am SO happy to have this bra. I've been obsessed with it since I found out about EM, but knew that it would be unlikely that I'd ever come across it in my size. I'd actually emailed Kaska before asking if I could have one made, and she said there was no more fabric left. So, when one, brand-new and in my size, bizarrely turned up in her shop almost two years after it was discontinued, it was a bra miracle! (Thank you so much to jlcl119 for finding it and posting here that it was available!!)
After wearing it all day yesterday, I can say ...that the Lawenda is hands down my favorite CHP I own. It fits like a glove! I didn't realize before how comparable it is to my 30G - Ewa Michalak » Pl Wrzos (443). Same dusty lavender fabric and stretchy half-adjustable straps. I'm 5'5" and right now the straps are perfect adjusted almost to the top, but eventually I may have to alter them or buy a Strap Saver. The cup height is perfect, high enough for stability but low enough to create spherical cakes-on-a-plate cleavage. The wires sit and stay perfectly in my IMF, and as compared to the 65J - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) I recently tried, the cups accommodate upper and center fullness SO much better. The band is on the stretchy side for a 65. Overall, the bra is exceptionally comfortable, simple and so beautiful with its pink-lavender lace and small bows. The matching panty has a ruffle all the way around with the same lace, I absolutely love it. Read more 172 more words
The CHP Lawenda looks great on you, VioletIridescence . What a miracle it became available in your size, years after it was discontinued, brand new from the manufacturer!
Thank you! It really was... I'm going to treasure this one eternally! Haha.
That bra fits you fabulously!! Looks great too!
Beautiful fit!!!
I've been in love with this bra from the moment I saw it. I was so happy to see you get it when jlcl119 posted about it recently. Sometimes, these things are just meant to be. :) It looks perfect! I think it may have been made just for you.
Thanks so much Anya99 ! I'd like to think so too :)
What's not to love?? Simple yet sexy, good room at the wire, narrow but not SO narrow it shoves everything out in front a la Cleo. Really, a lovely shape. I'm hooked. I want more.
This looks fantastic! Short-root friendly and projected: woo hoo!!
I so need a nude! My long sleeve white summer garden shirts (I sunburn instantly) won't hide black.
This is perfect on you!
For what it's worth, I am full on top and have tall roots, and SM fits great on me, too. It may be that I had to size up one cup size to get the best fit though (I have not confirmed this theory as I have only tried SM in 65GG. In other brands and in chp I am 65G, but I have not tried SM in 65G, so I am not certain that 65G would cut in or not).
Lovely bra! Was just looking at this one yesterday but opted for an S style instead. Looks great on you! Wear it proudly!
Ayouthfulporpoise good point! Now that you mention it I remember your 65GG review & agree it worked fabulously on you!
that's really pretty. im just amazed that the apex of the bra is really near your nipples/areola. ive never had a bra that fits like that.
Thanks to Calluna for this bra! I love the BM style it's so comfortable. I wear either a 65FF or 65G in this style depending on measurements. In certain lighting this bra has almost a brown color to it and in other lighting there's more purple/red to it. It's simple in design but also has a few ribbon and button embellishments. I didn't have to break it in at all like a new bra so it has been so wonderfully comfortable from the first wear. Technically the SF style works better for my soft tissue and keeps everything where it's supposed to be all day, ...but I love the comfort of the BM so much. The stretch lace accommodates very well and holds a nice shape. If the cup wasn't so stretchy and projected I would have quad boob problems or need a size up. But the 65G is a little taller in the cup, wing, and gore, and slightly less comfortable so I'm sticking with 65FF in this style while I still can. The gore is the highest I can handle due to symmastia so there is no discomfort there. Now that it is getting cold I will spend my outdoor time in padded bras due to circulation issues but I reach for my BMs on all my indoor/comfort days. Since I mostly work at home that is a lot of days currently, so I'm happy to have this. Overall this is a fantastic fit for me! Read more 143 more words
This is going to be a pretty short review, but here goes.
Ok, I received this bra on February 12. It's taken me 2 months, but I'm finally getting around to reviewing it.
My stats for reference: 28GG/H, maybe 26HH, FOT & Center, tall and narrow roots, 5'3, average to high set.
Look: This bra looks like your basic beige bra from afar, but it isn't! It has an adorable lace trim at the top of the cups and BUTTONS! Adorable teeny tiny useless buttons that look so freaking cute! It also has a dotted, almost quilted looking main fabric.
Fit: Talk about cakes on a plate! I thought Ewa's ...HM cut was antoinettealicious, but the CH really takes the cake! (Pun intended). The cups are so ridiculously low cut that my nipples are almost visible. Somehow it actually gives me a projected profile instead of the weird smushed shape akin to that of a comexim 3HC that I was expecting. The straps are wide set and thin, the cups have cookie pockets and the cups seem to run almost big seeing as I should be wearing 1-2 cups bigger in EM bras. Overall, this bra is perfect for a low square neckline dress but a bit impractical for everyday as it offers little to no actual lift and support. P.S. fit pics are severely outdated, I switched BC and lost about .5 band and gained 1-2 cups. Read more 128 more words
Hey, I have a question, are the straps comfortable for you, in the sense that they look to the max on the sides, or maybe it's just the photos?
I tried a ch once, but it gave me major headlights....I couldn't even wear it.
@sylwia111000 I don't understand what you mean by "they look to the max on the sides"? The straps are in my armpits, but it's not uncomfortable since I'm si used to angling them in anyway.
Wilderness1 I haven't quite given up. I think that a CH in my actual size may work for me.
I meant the shoulder straps are very far apart, close to the armpit. because I often have this effect in bras of this type and these straps are uncomfortable and slide off the shoulders ... it's a pity that they cannot sew them closer to each other
I have wanted this one for a long time, especially after rachaelll posted it here. Ironically, this is the same bra.
The sheer black mesh is gorgeous and pretty sexy AF. I’m not sure what the details are on the cup edge...something floral? It’s smoother than it seems under snug clothes but not invisible either. Despite all of the measurements being right, the band feels tight even though I have enough room for two fingers under the band. It’s weird. The website does mention that it’s a tight band.
I’m unsure about the bra because it’s tight, but I love the sheer mesh and details as well the lightweight, breathable feel, but I’m also getting a great shape. I might see if it will relax more with a bit of wear, but perhaps not all day at work wear yet. It definitely looks good. It’s just not too comfortable for me right now.
If you end up selling, please please please let me know!
I could probably be convinced to part with it if you want it. I’m going to work in a bit but message me.
I have this bra too, provides a good shape and it’s a good fit but after I wear it a few hours it feels tighter and tighter. In my case I think it’s just not quite projected enough at the wire and gore and slips just that much to make it not as comfortable. Plus the wires really are firm. Still i keep it and wear it, just not for 12+ hours
It looks lovely on you! Give it some time. My first SM, in the color black, was very snug in the band, but it did loosen up.
I think it’s maybe the wires. I agree that the wires are really firm on it. I do have a fantastic shape, and I love the look. I think a 70F would fit better.
My shape is somewhat low set, narrow and short rooted, slightly pendulous, and soft.
This bra is a beautiful vibrant red colour. It is the full lace version of the BM. The cups are fairly rounded, more than I expected them to be, and this 65FF size fits so much better than the 65F Antonina I tried. It is less pointy than I expected, and I find it very comfortable to wear. I feel totally held in place. There is also no in cup quadding visible, which I often get with unlined bras. The wires are faily narrow, and there is decent depth at the wire and apex. I ...did have to pull the cups up to avoid minor wrinkling next to the wire though. I haven't worn this bra around, so I'm not sure if that wrinkling would return after wearing it for a bit, but it went away once I pulled the cups up over my breasts completely. The materials are soft and I didn't get any chafing anywhere. The band was nice and firm, with a stretched measurement of just over 28" before the wires distorted, which I love. The straps adjusted long enough for my tall/lower set frame, so that was great too.
Overall, lovely and lively colour and excellent quality and comfort. Read more 108 more words
Wow! This looks amazing on you! So glad it’s not pointy on you. How does it fare for the white t shirt test? Allegedly, red is the best colour to wear under white to disappear.
Beautiful!
Thanks. I'm pleasantly surprized that it fits. I was actually expecting it to be too large on me, but it fits and gives a moderately rounded shape. I just hope it still fits when I lose this 5 pounds I have on my belly. My boobs shrink really fast when I lose weight.
Oh crap, I didn't try the white t-shirt! I've already bagged it up to go back so I can order the La Gloria instead. I considered keeping this one too actually since it's so pretty, but I can't afford both, so....
It looks wonderful on you. 💜 Glad it is a great fit!
Fingers crossed for the La Gloria!
Thanks MamaPagan !
This looks so good on you! Sorry you're not able to keep it. I bet the La Gloria will be stunning on you.
Thanks Sonya . I can't wait for La Gloria to arrive, but it will be a few weeks. I think Magda just did a group order, so I can't place mine for another month or so (and then it still has to be made and mailed). I think it'll be worth the wait!
This looks great on you! Hopefully la Gloria fits just as well
Thanks Frazzleberry ...I hope so too, but I guess sometimes you just never know when the bras are handmade!
Wilderness1 that's so true, but I'm crossing my fingers that it works out
Wow! This is gorgeous. I can not wait to see how the La Gloria fits and looks.
Thanks rachaelll, I can't wait either. I've been drooling over La Gloria since it came out... too bad I can't just order it now so it arrives in 1 week.... gotta wait for it to be made.
The La Gloria briefs look super cute too. I love the colour of the bra, but the briefs are so unique in comparison with some of the other ones that they were a part of what sold me.
Wilderness1 I'm tempted to order one too! The 65ff fluo I have isn't a perfect fit, but it seems like from others comments and reviews it might not be a 'standard' 65ff. And la gloria is the colour of my dreams.
Calluna I do like the briefs too. I don't usually order sets because of the cost, but I have considered ordering those because they are so cute. rachaelll It seems like you never know 100% what you're getting with EM these days. It IS such a beautiful colour. I sent Magda an email, but she's out of town until Monday, so I'm not sure when her next order is?
Eek! Maybe I will have a chance to save up before the next order goes in. Otherwise I will be living vicariously through you Wilderness1
Wilderness1 I believe Magda needs an order of 10 or more bras to submit it to Ewa. With the last order submitted 2/4, it's a matter of generating enough interest now or the luck of new releases becoming available, so I am thinking some time between 2/18 and beginning of March. :-/
rachaelll and MamaPagan yeah, I knew it would be a few weeks. I emailed her a few days ago and she said she was just about to put in an order and wouldn't be doing another one for like a month. She's emailing me back on Monday to confirm my order, but yeah... it'll be a while! Wish I could have it now, but I have to exercise all the patience I have. How long does it take once the order goes in??
Last time it was a week but with Ewa prepping for the new release sale, I would think it will be longer this time. Sorry. :-/
Awe, bummer.
Indeed. :-/ *But* you can always ask Magda to see if she could add La Gloria to her existing order. Ewa usually allows it if it's not towards the end of order production, so there may still be time.
I'm hoping she will! That would be awesome! I'll she what she says when she gets back to me!!
Fingers crossed that Ewa allows it. 🍀🍀
Like rachaelll, I will also be living vicariously through you!
Well, I’ve had this bra for close to a month now, so it’s probably time for me to write my review of it. What do you think? Yeah? It’s been a little difficult to get into the right space to do this, and partly because I have so many feelings about this bra. But here I am now, laying it all out now.
The background of the bra is that this is the first brand new Ewa Michalak bra I’ve purchased. Everything else prior has been from the listings or a Facebook group. But those were all HUGELY instrumental in making this purchase, and I couldn’t have done ...it without them. But not only is it my first brand new Ewa, it’s also my first BM bra. I pretty much saved my money all summer and fall (because I had used some of it for more used Ewas which were actually the most instrumental in my choosing this size) and then I made the biggest bra gamble of my life to date and bought this bra during the Black Friday sale that Broad Lingerie in Toronto was having. I don’t live in Toronto, but the owner, Sam, was hugely helpful, as was the rest of her staff. I also had a ton of great help here from the members helping me with my decisions. (THANK YOU!) Naturally, I decided to buy this bra in the middle of a postal strike, however the strike was ended soon after and I waited so patiently for this to arrive. I believe that this style is limited to a few specific shops, as it is not on the Ewa website.
And then it came. It was all mine! MINE MINE MINE!
I posted some sneak peak pics in another post when it came, and I got a lot of great feedback that this 65FF is the right size and looked great. I must admit that I am still not 100% sure. A huge part of me wants to try a 65F or 70E. I’m willing to bet that they’ll be too small, but given how my 65F SM Wrozka fits when I am not in high tide and what I know about this cut now, I feel like I might be able to pull it off. But I won’t know anything until I can get one to try. I vacillate between whether I think that it’s a good fit and if it’s not. Sam had suggested that it is pretty good but maybe borderline too big but also unsure if sizing down would work either.
Now let’s veer off a moment and discuss my shape and what I am dealing with. I have tallish roots that are shallow, so I have some functionality of short roots, but sometimes the cutting in problems that can happen with taller roots. My tissue is pretty soft and malleable, and I have center fullness with close-ish set breasts (splayed unsupported). My vertical fullness leans towards the full on bottom side of even. This adds to a more functional shorter root. I’ve had a bit of new growth since fall and my fullness, in particular, has definitely changed some (I am filling out the cups in my 30F Cleo Marcie better than when I got it last spring for example). I have narrowish roots and am pendulous. I need narrow wires with more immediate depth than apex depth.
Now back to this bra...it’s a very lovely shade of burgundy, much like the wine for which this was named after. Capturing the true colour on my phone was challenging and none of the pictures show exactly what I see, plus different lighting really makes a difference. I think that it’s closest to what you can see of the lace in the back view of the cups picture and the one with the size tags that follows it. Cups are the standard BM full lace cups with the upper portion being stretch lace lined with stretch tulle. At the straps, she has a folded over bit of satin, fastened with a button in a sort of a bow but not a bow way. The center gore is adorned with a full satin bow and two buttons positioned vertically below it. It’s actually quite cute. Not girly cutesy cute, but just a nice touch. The lace has a bit of a rose pattern to it which I think is a nice touch...because roses and wine go together in a romantic sort of way (but not for me because I get migraines from the scent).
The band is what I believe is power knit mesh based on other reviews, and is fairly snug but stretchy. I was expecting it to be a bit stretchier, to be honest, as this one barely gets to 29” and that’s my minimum comfort measurement. It’s probably like 28.8” or 28.9” in reality but I just marked it 29”. I can wear it but it’s sometimes feeling borderline too tight. I think I would have to go in a few hooks if I was in a 70 band, but both are good and have their issues. This one will probably stretch out with more use soon.
The stretch lace feels quite nice and comfortable...I worry about it stretching out with swoop and scoop. I don’t have any gaps and it is smooth across my upper tissue, but I do wonder if I had a bit more upper fullness if I would fill it out better. This is partly why I am keen to try a cup size down. The straps are on the wide side, but such is life with Ewa. I have to angle them. I also feel like I have to keep them a bit tight for the best shape. They feel better looser but I feel like it compromises the fit. I only really feel like they’re tight initially. Over time, I don’t notice as much, but I’m still trying to get the sweet spot for them. I’m getting nice lift, but feel like maybe not as much as I should or can get? I’m not sure.
The wires feel like they’re a tad bit wide for me, but when I remove the bra, the marks do follow the root. I think that it’s because I have soft tissue, and that I am able to fit into narrower wires because my side tissue can shift forward a bit and still be contained, whereas, with the wires a little wide, my tissue has a bit more room to spread back and out. I would prefer something closer to 5” than this, but this is the edge of my acceptability for wire width. Like, a quarter inch smaller would be ideal.
I think what bothers me the most about the bra is the wrinkles at the wire. I gather that this is common for this style, but I have more wrinkles than I expected, and I think that the lace being stiffer I’m some parts exaggerates it somewhat. I’m doubting that a cup size change will fix this. It’s got decent projection, but just not quite as projected at the wire for me...although maybe slightly too deep at the apex for me as I am getting a somewhat pointy shape, which like I said earlier, might be a problem because I have less upper fullness. The shape definitely more natural, and it looks better under some tops than others. My work scrubs top for my pharmacy shifts is basically a tent so no one can see my shape anyway. Lol
I’m still very glad that I have this. I’m not 100% sure it’s the right size or style for me, but I am keen to try more for bra science. I’m hoping to do a swap for a half lace BM in same cup volume so we’ll see how that works. It’s possible that the tiny bit extra small that the half lace cups fit will be enough. Keep your peepers open for more Ewas and Comexim coming... Read more 1235 more words
Just keep in mind a half lace does not fit like a full lace as it doesn't have that second layer to give it more structure. I find it will droop during the day.
I still think this one is a good fit. :-) And looks good too!!
It looks great on you 😀
This is a super pretty bra and looks great on you. If i've learned ANYTHING in the past few months, it's that finding a bra that's "perfect" is nearly impossible - even my custom-made ones have little "imperfections". If its comfortable and supportive, it's a keeper in my books.
The fit questions can be interpreted as very rigid. For example, the bottom of the SF wrinkles on everybody. That doesn’t make it a fit issue, but a strict interpretation of the question would.
I agree this looks wonderful on you!
This looks gorgeous on you!
AprilGoulding And when you do find one that is perfect, your boobs decide to change on you and you're back to square one..... Joy to our body changes! !
MamaPagan apart from my surgery my breasts haven't changed in years. They were consistent from 16-33. Then fluctuations during pregnancy and nursing. Them consistent from 36-44. I know. You'll hate me.
Just wait, you shall experience it too! :-D
So pretty on you. Thanks for the thorough review.
I found some underwear at La Senza that was on sale, so I got a Brazilian and thong... I never wear thongs but it’s quite romantic sexy with the bra and will be nice for special occasions. I added pics, but none of them with me in the thong...not body confident enough for that one. It’s not an exact colour match, but it’s really close.
It looks like a great color match!! Woohoo for a nice set! :-)
Thank you MamaPagan! I will see if I can get a few more pairs while they’re still on sale. I love the details of the thong in the back. The thong definitely puts me in the mood, but it probably isn’t daily wear for me. I can definitely do more of the Brazilian/briefs though. I like that it is satiny to match the band and wire under carriage or whatever it is called.
Fluo's colour, which is her greatest asset, is crazy hard to capture on camera. It's neon cotton candy pink. For anyone who grew up in the 80s, they can reminisce.
I received B Antonina today as well, in the same size, but the 2 bras do NOT fit exactly the same.
Fluo is just not quite as projected at the wire AND the band is a little bit tighter. Not crazily so, just a tiny bit. I'm going to measure tonight to compare the 2. I'll upload the data.
That tiny bit of difference in projection at the cup means that I have a little bit of wrinkling at the ...wire on one side. Not enough to disturb me, though, especially since my breasts, apparently, will continue to drop and soften and be a tiny bit smaller over the next 6 months.
Fluo is comfortable, supportive and definitely fits well enough for me to keep it. Although, as previously stated, I am curious to try 65G in BMs now. I tend to like a lot of coverage in my everyday workhorse bras. Read more 71 more words
It looks great on you. As a teen in the 80s, I totally understand the appeal of this one. :-)
This colour!!!! It looks amazing.
I have this bra too, and it is one of my favorites! Cameras do NOT capture the overall PINKNESS of this bra at all. It's just one of those things you have to see to believe.
I commented and it dissapeared. What I said was that it looks like a good fit, especially compared to your 65Fs you tried. Is it comfortable and do you feel supported?
@Wilderness yes! Very comfy. Great gore tack which is my usual flag of not enough projection.
Wow! Such a bright pink. I can see how the Fluo is not quite as projected at the wire as the Antonina. Glad that you are finding success with the new bras (mostly).
My shape: Narrow, short rooted, soft with some centre fullness (but not much upper fullness). I wear a lot of 30F unlined as long as their deep enough, and 30FF lined/padded.
Design/style: This shade is somewhere between burgundy and dark pink. It's quite pretty. I'm usually not a 'pink' fan, but this one is very feminine without being a bright pink bra. the colour is richer and deeper than the picture on their website. There is a satin bow in the centre, and lace along the cups edge that gives it something extra.
Fit: Narrow, projected, rounding, lifting - ideal! Earlier in the month there is a touch of ...gaping on my smaller side near the upper edge, but later in the month it works out. This cup is quite narrow, which is awesome! It's also shorter than the 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Chp Cappuccino (317), which was about 0.5cm taller (just enough to make it unwearable for me due to gaping along the upper edges). It holds everything up but also not compressed against you - just lifted and rounded. It creates a lovely profile under a shirt. You can see some seams under a tee, but I don't pay too much attention, so I don't mind. I find the band nice and firm, and it's not uncomfortable at all. I actually forget I'm wearing it, and have been able to wear it for 14 hour days without adjusting or noticing it at all. A+ all around. Read more 142 more words
Your gorgeous pictures made rethink this bra. I went to Ewa's website to order it, but then I saw the only matching bottom is a thong. Oh well. I'm glad the CHP Red Wine works so well for you, though!
Lovely!
Beautiful on you and that color is fabulous!
Thanks everyone, it's my favorite right now :)
What a great fit on you! The bra is beautiful too. Although at first I thought there was a pun in the name of the bra due to the use of lowercase h and p instead of CHP... I thought they had named a bra "Chp red wine" as in cheap red wine and I was like, wow, Ewa has gone full hipster hahaha.
haha wendybien that's hilarious! Lol.. cheap red wine... that would be funny! Thanks, also. I've now had luck with the M cut and chp cut. I'm still on the fence about trying BM or SM cause my roots are so short, but I'm sure I'll cave in and try one of these days.
The bra and it's fit is great. Love the creative rethinking of the name, too. :)
How happy I am to finally own a nude-to-me, neutral colored CHP! I already own and love the SM Summer Time, so as soon as I got the email that this one was available through Braobsessed, I jumped at the chance to try it in my favorite half cup style! All in all, it took about two months to arrive to me from the day that I ordered... I waited for it so excitedly in the interim!
The floral embroidery somewhat diminishes the practicality of this bra (it's definitely not seamless beneath lightweight shirts). However, it's absolutely gorgeous in a muted, vintage-y kind of way... creme and apricot-colored ...blooms with pale green leafy vines entwining down the cups over the vertical seams. Being quite pale (and more so now at the end of winter!) ideally I wish the overall color scheme would've been more cool-toned, like the Burek, but for girls with an olive complexion, these tan colors would be absolutely divine and so so beautiful! The cups themselves are a lighter beige color, with the straps and band being a darker, more caramel one. The only aspect of the design that somewhat disappoints me is the center gore bow... on Ewa's original stock photos from 2014 (here: http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_pm_Biustonosz-CHP-Summer-Time--553_2.jpg) it looks like there's one of those gigantic, satiny bows she uses on many of her bras that make your boobs look to be wrapped like a present https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I love those! But, the one on my bra is quite small and sad. I have a feeling I'll be alone in this opinion though... I have very impractical taste when it comes to bra decoration and know others may definitely prefer the simplicity!
In all other respects, I feel like the fit is true to size for a 65FF CHP: narrow wires, firm band, a beautiful round shape but annoyingly wide-set straps. Happily, though, they are sturdier and much less stretchy than the ones on the recent CH Cherry. The matching thong is soft, comfortable and not too high-rise, as Polish underwear can sometimes be.
Update: this size is now too small and I've replaced it with a 65G as I love this bra so much. Read more 266 more words
I can't wait to get mine! I ordered the Summertime in an S cut because that's the only cut I know works, and this bra was too cute to have to pass up because I got the size wrong. That looks awesome on you. I too love the big bows. Is there a bow on the back of the thong?
Thank you! Yes, there's a small creme colored bow on the back of the thong too. I uploaded a picture of it, but it might take a little while to be approved!
Awesome! I love all the bows on her stuff. Makes everything more fun.
How beautiful! I placed an order for this one a couple weeks back and I'm already impatient. I'm so relieved to hear that the color will complement tan olive skin. Do you find the band TTS? I ordered this in a 60 band and I'm nervous that I should've ordered a 55 band instead. Thanks for the review!
This is such a beautiful set! I also happen to agree with you on the bows, I prefer the larger ones.
persian_kitty I do think it's true to size, for an 65 EM band at least (a little firmer than a standard UK 30, more like in between 30 and 28). So, hopefully a 60 will work out for you just fine!
I love how this bra looks on you. I think the color looks very nice, even on very pale skin.
