This is the second of the two cheap Ewas that I got from another user recently. It was a bit of a gamble because it is a cup size larger than the current Ewas that I own, but as I have minor spilling or puffing from them, especially after ovulation, I thought that I would try this. I thought that maybe it would only fit with the cookies in, or only after ovulation, but for the price, it was too good to pass up, and I had a few back up people in mind to offer to if it didn’t work. My Marcie has been fitting better lately, ...and as I said, my 70E S Szykus and Pl Carmen were showing a bit of spilling (the 65F SM Wrozka came with this Pl Zlote Oko) with my scale having added about 5lbs lately, so it was worth a shot.
Well, I’m here to say it fits. With and without cookies. Obviously, the cookies provide that extra bit of oomph, but are not really necessary to make the bra fit. Pre ovulation, I have a tiny bit of a gap in the cups if you really look and nit pick the fit. It’s really trivial and minor. And it’s more on my small side anyway.
The band on this one, like the SM Wrozka, is highly stretched out and so I feel like I’m not getting quite the firm fit on the sides and back that I would like to have, but it’s good on the first few hooks. It’s not the tightness of the band itself, but the material that it’s made of that feels a bit looser than the elastic top and bottom of the band, if that makes sense. It’s obviously a wear thing and has no reflection on how a brand new one would fit. I’m getting tension from the elastic bands at the top and bottom...but the material of the band is not as snug as it should be. You might be able to see it in the pictures.
I do absolutely love the gold threading in the lace covered cups and the round crystal charm at the gore. I’m getting great cleavage, as to be expected from a plunge bra. Of course, I love the low gore. No stabby sternum here! The inner cotton lining for the cookie pockets of the bra is definitely the softest of the 3 that I have with it. I’m not sure if it’s a previous owner wear or washing thing, or something else from the construction, but it’s nice on my boobs, especially the days leading up to and after ovulation when I don’t really want *anything* to touch them...especially my nipples since they’re incredibly sensitive from about 3 days before ovulation until my period (which I figured out with sympto thermal cycle tracking).
Fit wise, I do feel like the cups are both a tad wide and tall, compared with the 70E Pl Carmen, which is to be expected because it is a larger cup size. (EDIT: I decided to add the comparison pics that I initially took to the gallery to see) It’s not a huge problem, and I have wire marks that do follow my roots quite well, but because I have soft tissue, I feel like I can get into narrower bras which also helps bring the tissue forward some. I do prefer the look of the shorter cups of the 70E Pl Carmen over the 65FF Pl Zlote Oko, but this one is still fine. It’s got pretty good immediate depth for my pendulous tissue though, and it’s comfortable to wear, which is probably the most important part. I think my center full tissue is slightly better contained than in the 70E Pl Carmen. My tissue tends to lean even to full on bottom, and I have no issues with the fit with my shape characteristics. My roots are average height, but somewhat functionally short as I am a bit deflated. Because of this, I have a little bit of strap gap, but it’s ok.
Ultimately, I really like the bra. I think it’s a pretty good fit, and the price can’t be beat. I’d definitely consider getting this new or newer in the future. I’d love to have matching panties.
This Fairytale did not have a happy ending. I am disappointed with Ewa's team: the gorgeous lace in this bra could have been far better utilized.
Pros: Lace is super pretty, cups run true to size, low gore and wings don't poke at all, the straps are wide and comfy and very pretty.
Cons: Lace application is sloppy, band runs loose and rides up.
It's a more natural shape from the side but it doesn't bother me. I get great cleavage from the low cut gore. This bra just falls short of being the perfect princess bra.
Can I ask what "runs loose" means? The measurements you have say that it stretches to 31"; the average on the size says 30.1". That's exactly what I would expect from a 65, so I'm a bit puzzled :|a
On reflection I'm guessing you mean it doesn't feel firm or supportive! I definitely have some bras that measure exactly the same but one is made of very firm fabric and so feels tighter (and more supportive) than the other. For example my Panache Sport underwired bras, they measure the same amount of stretch as some Cleos I own but the Sport bras hold their shape much better...
I always can never get that clear. I promise I'll get it right next time! With Ewa, I expect her bras to run to 29/30 inches, exactly true to size. To me, 31 inches is not true to size but rather large or 'loose' for that band size since it measures an inch more then it should. So I consider this band large for a 30 which definitely impacts the support. :)
Looks incredibly gorgeous!!!!
I like your comments in your blog about the band. I think you have a similar back to mine but smaller. The shape means that when the band rides up a bit our back fluff squishes out causing more rolls, the band to bite in, and less support as the band continues to slide up. It's never going to look like its riding up really (unless it's way too big) but I can feel it on my shoulder blades getting lift instead of anchoring.
Whereas if we can get the band to stay put we can contain the fluff and actually have some downforce in the back providing lifting tension in the front. I really like v backs because they seem to help with this problem on me.
cupandahalf Yes! Finally, it's in words! I'm super compressible. Bands, when too large, almost never look like they're riding up as bad as they feel unless it's incredibly bad. I too can feel them near my shoulder blades. For me, because I have medium size breasts, a slightly loose band is more annoying then ill supportive. The bras with the tighter bands simply disappear when I wear them whereas I'm always aware of a bra with a looser band.
Back twins!
I didn't love to fairytale either. On my bra (65E) the depth was 9 inches, so it was too big. I had to adjust the straps a lot to get no gaping, so it ended up irritating my armpits. Also I don't like how it looks so pointy on the side view. My other PL which I LOVE, is very rounded. The cut of the fairytale reminds me of the 3D.
But yours looks cute on you. :)
I am so sorry to hear you were given such insensitive feedback. Sending you a PM that you might find informative.
My impression of your fit is that you have either a straight, or A shaped ribcage meaning you really do get ride-up fairly easily (I am the opposite with my ribs forming a proportionally very wide, squat V shape, big on top and tapering small below, so something has to be huge to really ride up--in fact I have more difficulty with the fact that bras ride down quite easily). The only real problem I see that could possibly be attributed to your band sizing is the strap placement because your shoulders are so very, very petite. But the side view of this and many other EM bras shows no wire distortion at all, with the outer wire end remaining really nice and far forward in fact, so I think it's reasonable to assume that the bra isn't being pulled supertight east-west and the strap positioning would NOT be greatly improved by a looser band.
In short while I am often a huge proponent of sizing up to see if a larger band stays put with fewer fit issues, in this case I just see no evidence that wearing 65s instead of 70s is causing fit problems.
wendybien Thank you for your comment! That is the kind of constructive criticism I like to hear after I post my reviews. :)
I'm only 4'8" so I personally know that the problem I have with the straps is on me, not because of the band size I'm wearing. I do notice some wire pulling on my SM bras (like when I put them on first they're a little too narrow but then I swoop and scoop and it's perfect) but nothing too severe.
I have to agree with wendybien -- none of your bras actually show any sign of being too tight on you. Those other users had a very set image in their head of what a 30" ribcage looked like, and they projected that onto you. They should be ashamed. :(
Also, your blog reviews are really thoughtful and high-quality, so I for one am extra grateful that you've come back to share more of them with BTB despite that reception!
rainbrasspetals Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I hate to say those remarks got to be but they did which is partly what took me so long to review this.
I do appreciate hearing how useful my reviews are and it helps me remember that that's why I'm doing this. I want my reviews to be as helpful and truthful as I can so I'm glad to hear I'm doing it right! I hope to be posting more frequently now. :)
So happy I finally got my hands on (er, boobs in) this long sought after bra. Discontinued before my ABTF time, I *had* to have this one. It's so unique, I own nothing else red, I tracked one down and finally the time was right and my boobs are happy! Typical EM CHP fit, narrow with good bottom depth & center projection. This one feels like it runs small in both band and cup, even if the cup measurement disagrees with me, but the fit is good so whatever! Slightly too tall on righty, but that's not unusual. Band fits like a 28 (yay!), cups fit more like a 65 F.5. Full review on the blog.
I love this bra! It's so comfy! I think it runs a smidge small in the cups and band too. I need an extender.
I love the small band! Makes me happy it's a band I don't have to alter lol!
I was happy too, means I'll have more time to wear it! I like the addition of the lace on the sides instead of the cups because it means that the bra is pretty much seamless under thin cheap t-shirts.
Beautiful! :)
This sounds like the one I bought and resold in 65FF! She actually agreed that it was smaller and said I could return, but then I just sold it on instead. I was so gutted because it's so pretty!
Maybe it was yours! If so, thanks lol! I'm happy I've now managed to track down pretty much every discontinued bra I really wanted to own :)
This bra is great. Seriously great I love it so much. There's just one thing that bugs me but we'll get into that. This bra was from Ebay, and someone (sorry, forgot) posted the link here. I am forever grateful because this is my new favourite bra. It is second hand, but according to the seller only worn once or twice. The band actually stretches to 30 inches which is nice. It's pretty narrow near the hooks and eyes. The straps are plush and only half adjustable but are comfortable, not too wide set and don't need to be shortened for now. The bra itself is adorable. I love ...all the bows. The colour is great too. The wires are a good width and length and seem to be narrow enough for me. The gore is a decent height and tacks firmly but not painfully. I love the 3 part cup and the shape I get from it. It's very open on top and fits nicely. My biggest issue with this bra is the quality. For the most part, it's great quality. However, there are two spots in the band (probably in the same space on either size) where the stitching has come undone. It's about an inch on either side and I'm not sure the best way of fixing this. I'll probably very carefully try to replicate the zigzag stitching. I just really love the bra and I hope this doesn't impact the amount of times I can wear it. I'll post pictures of it and maybe y'all can help me decide if I should bring it to my tailor (have to go anyway) or whether I should try and fix it myself. Overall, I LOVE this bra and that's the only issue I have with it. My bigger problem now is that I want all the CHP's! Read more 200 more words
OH I have this exact bra! Simply in another size (unfortunately I need cookies for it even though it doesn't have a pocket for them lol oh well). It's such a great color (as well as burgundy I am obsessed with grey so you totally got my favorite color palette) and it gives such a perfect cakes-on-a-platter look! My only qualm is that the straps are so far apart. But it looks like it fits you super well and I also want all the CHPs :'( I've had a similar problem with stitching on a Comexim but I didn't end up keeping it, so I never got around to properly fixing it. Hopefully a more adept seamstress can give you some input for that!
I think I should take it to my tailor first. I don't want to butcher it. I want all my future bras from Ewa to be this shape. Sadly my next one coming is an S shape but that'll work fine. I have my eyes on the Opium but my wallet is screaming no. If she ever came out with a bra that was both grey and burgundy I'd buy it so fast my wallet wouldn't know what hit it.
What a lovely bra. I love this colourway. It really looks to fit you so well giving your breasts a lovely natural shape. It is so fustrating to have a bra that looks good and feels so comfy on only to have it loose its shape or fall apart.I am sure a tailer would be able to make it like new. good luck
That is probably what I would do, too, just considering that the bra itself is worth a pretty penny. I'm really curious to see how the S shape fits you - the only experience with EM I've ever had is with the CHP (literally this one). Since our boobs seem to be doing the same exact thing in this bra, I wonder if the S will fit you like it would hypothetically fit me? Hmmm.... (Also oh gosh I am a sucker for burgundy but especially grey - so hard to find! Designers for bra companies, if you're reading this, please oh please I need more grey and we all do <3)
I squeeze myself into the S honestly. I prefer the look with the pads best, but then that makes the bra a little too small. The next size up is too big, even with the pads. So not an ideal situation but at least it looks better than it sounds. I love how open the CHP is. Scott Thanks! It is frustrating when bras don't hold up as well as you'd like, especially when one is supposed to be almost new.
Your seamstress or you can definitely and easily fix the stitches . Caused by either poor workmanship or being worn so tight it popped the stitches . As it is on both sides I am going to guess it was way to small for the prior owner and hopefully they disclosed the broken stitches in the ad as a full time eBay seller of clothing myself it's sad to hear when people are disappointed with items they get . Gives us all a bad reputation of course I just got a unwashed dirty bra off eBay and not happy about that . So take your bra and color match the thread , starting a bit before the missing part do your zigzag stitch (practice before on a scrap to get the width set ) and continue on just past where the stitches begin again . I think you can certainly do it yourself in just a few minutes on your machine remember that you can go slow your not cutting anything and if you don't like it you can get out the seam ripper and unsew and try again . Good luck .
Ivp Thanks for the advice. I'd have to do it by hand because my machine is at home so I'll see what my tailor has to say. She's used to me bringing her some odd things by now.
Then definitely take it to the tailor it will be an easy fix for her and if you are having to go that route might as well have her just redo the whole stitching along the length that has come undone , a 3 step zig zag is the strongest for knits used in active wear if you wanted to mention could you use a stronger zigzag like a 3 step to replace . Your going to be so happy with your find after the fix . I think all my sewing lately has been bra fix and alterations on my finds . Fyi while you are chatting with her ask if she is open to other alteration on bras like taking in the band at the clasp it's pretty easy and makes those bras that come with too big bands wearable .
Ivp I'll bring that up next time I stop in. I took the bra to her and she said that it was an easy fix. I'm not too concerned about the band being under too much strain when it gets fixed because it's pretty true to size and there fore is just a smidge big on me.
UPDATE: After Strapgate (lol), I've come to the conclusion that this bra does NOT fit as intended. The cup is too large and isn't supposed to be as full coverage as it is on me. I'll probably still wear it with the straps "too tight" (as it's fairly comfortable and looks good under clothes), but it technically does not fit and is for someone with larger breasts than mine.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have . . . . difficult boobs. They are very soft tissue, FOB, absolutely empty on top, narrow root and somewhat close-set. My boobs invariably fall to the middle where a high gore pokes ...them and a low gore can't keep them contained in the cup. Balconettes are almost always too wide in the straps (narrow shoulders too, of course). They need to be lifted, but not too much (projection-wise) or they completely flatten out on top.
This bra AMAZINGLY fits all of these problems simultaneously. The gore is low, but the cups are designed in such a way as to catch the fullness (squashiness?) in the middle and keep it up and "in" (for lack of a better description). It also curves around over the top in such a way that it feels neither open nor closed (both of which are a problem with my breast shape) but I feel will work for a wide variety of breasts.
The band is firm but not crazy firm like the Ewa lace bands are and there are 4 pairs of hooks in case of stretch.
Additionally, I have pretty tender skin (the reason the Cleo Lucy (5851) didn't work for me is the scratchy fabric). The cups are lined in soft cotton and the straps and elastic were soft out of the box.
My two caveats are: 1) this fabric, while beautiful, is akin to a dotted swiss - meaning the pattern is raised and can be seen under a thin or tight shirt. I will be ordering several more in smooth fabric. 2) The straps are NOT fully adjustable. They work okay for me but I already have them pretty much all shortened up so if you need them shorter, you'll have to alter it. Read more 275 more words
This bra is SO pretty and delicate-looking. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and I don't notice the bra while I'm wearing it. I opted for a 65FF because I didn't want the hassle of having to use an extender on a 60 band for a couple weeks, and it is still decently tight on the loosest hook (though the gore doesn't tack). I have both the included cookies in and I had to put an extra cookie in on my smaller side -- I think the CH/CHP cut may just be a bit too open on top for me. On the whole, though, I'm happy with the fit and the bra itself is BEAAAUUUTIFUL. I also got the matching briefs, which aren't very flattering in the back but are very soft and comfortable.
I was really excited about getting this bra, but I have to admit that now I’ve got it, it’s slightly underwhelming. I’m not sure if it’s the lace or the black lace on beige or the shade of beige, but it’s just not doing it for me. It’s nearly the same as the Milady but in beige instead of red. Maybe I would like this combo in the CHP better.
The stretchy strappy straps are kinda difficult for me to use, and offer nothing to me. If anything, they fit me weird. I do think that I might have put them on upside down but I don’t ...think that it’s going to be a better fit than this if I reverse them. I don’t think that I will even bother though.
The fit with the cookies is a bit booby and cleavagey, as is to be expected. The fit of this is pretty much like the other 65FF PLs I have. There’s not much else to say about this bra that I have not already said before in my other reviews. Good projection. Good shape. Good cleavage. Soft cotton inside. Etc.
I’ve decided to exchange this for a different Ewa with another user. Read more 96 more words
Looks nice without the cookies I agree, but if you’re not excited by it then no reason to keep it.
Thanks braluv. I’m trading it for a 65F BM Kleks. I have been curious about whether the 65FF BM Cabernet is a little bit too big or not and have wanted to try a cup size down. I do suspect that it’s going to be a little bit too small, but I won’t know until I try. If it’s too small, I might still hold onto it for a bit as I feel like I might be losing a bit of weight again, and thus, volume. If not, I’ll relist it and trade it for something else. I think that it’s a win anyway you look at it. I’ve been wanting a Kleks for a long time now. And this will help me decide what size fits me best.
I recently got this bra second hand and I quite like the fun, bright colours. It fits very TTS, just like my 65FF S Syrena, so I have to fasten it on the tightest hooks. I get quadding on my larger side but it fits my smaller side really well.
Marta transferred this bra to me and warned me that it was between a FF and a G.
She was correct. It fits like my 65FF Antonina, which is bigger than 65FF Fluo (which was too small and I had to sell). Fluo tacked fully. I think due to the notoriously tight band. This one tacks lightly. It's still comfy and I love the colour!
Of the 4 bras that arrived today in my EM order, this one, the one I was most looking forward to having for everyday wear, doesn't fit.
Am I surprised? Nope. After seeing me in a PL 65G (with and without cookies), Kaska had advised me to try 65FF in the S. However, after getting a CHP in 65G from VioletIridescence I highly suspected that it wouldn't fit me.
Close, but no cigar.
It's deceiving at first, because once I took out the cookies, the girls filled the bottom of the cup perfectly. There's no quadding and the cleavage is GREAT. But, my tell tale sign - gore ...won't tack. And no matter how good a bra looks, I know that if the gore won't tack, I'm not going to be comfortable all day. Also, there's not quite enough coverage at the side, which is another sign that the cup is just too small for me. MamaPagan or other experienced S wearers - what do you think? Will a 65G solve my tacking problem or will I swim in it?
It's a simple bra, but honestly, it's beauty lies in it's simplicity. It's a perfect bra to wear under tight tops, especially white ones.
One thing I noted - the band on this one was the best of the lot. Not really the loosest, so much as the softest and stretchiest. Definitely a VERY nice, comfy band. This is certainly meant to be an all day everyday bra for those who like to wear padded bras.
I'll either sell this bra to another user ( rachaelll ??) or send it back for an exchange in 65G since I have paypal return shipping. Read more 178 more words
The rule of thumb with the S is to size up one size from your normal cup size. The only issue with the S is that it doesn't get any more projected until you get into the KK cups, where it has two vertical seams. I have a J-KK cup in the S and they are all very shallow except for the KK cup. They also get taller faster than they get deeper, so I can only suggest trying it.
Thanks, Sovavosi . I may simply ask Kaska to make me a 65G CHP in this style :)
AprilGoulding I have the exact same problem with the S. I just bought a 65G from martka00 to see if a bigger size solved my problems. If it doesn't work for me I'd be happy to send it your way. But I do love the look of this one!;
As much as I love the look of the S (and other padded styles Ewa offers) I am just not confident that any of us with moderate to massive immediate projection will get a good fit.
Even with the expanded projection in my range, I still can't get a great fit or a tacking gore. :-/
Oh it’s so beautiful! I wish it fit you better. I really like it and would get it but, I cannot do a band that’s not 29” stretched (minimum), though I also can’t really afford it now anyway.
rachaelll I'm standing by to see how you fare with the 65G. If it works for you, I'll reorder an S in the bigger size ;)
Calluna band easily stretches to 31" on this one. Its the stretchiest, most comfy band. If you change your mind, let me know. If I dont sell it this week, I'll return it.
AprilGoulding lets hope for a fit miracle. Maybe a 65G S will work for us both
Ok. Your measurements say a lot less stretched. So that’s what I was giving on. I definitely can’t afford it right now but I do like it.
So, I took the plunge (eye-roll pun) and made my first direct order from Ewa Michalak. This PL and an S Pretty in 65FF were my first purchases. I read such great reviews of the PL, and I was convinced that it was going to be THE ONE - spoiler: it wasn't. Good things first, this bra is stunning. The detailing is so intricate and the finishings are clearly of high quality. I love the look of the black lace overlay. It is one sexy bra. Also, despite my 28-inch ribcage, the band was surprisingly comfortable and supportive on the second last hook.
However, the fit is ...where things go downhill. The shape is just not for me - it is vaguely pointy and I have some unfilled space in the top corners of the bra. I suspect that it is actually half a cup too big and a smaller size would probably fit better. Despite the gaping, it manages to give some impressive va-voom cleavage (the magic of FOT?) - but it is just not my style. I guess I am more of a full-coverage girl, so I am not sure that padded Ewa Michalak bras and I will be friends. Perhaps I should try a BM?
Sadly, I think this PL is going in the bra-fail column. Read more 113 more words
It actually looks like you are getting some quadding on your left side. I think the PL is supposed to be better for even fullness, and the CHP for FOT. The BM should be good for any fullness, if you end up trying that.
You know what's going on in the cups better than we do, haha, but from the photos, it looks like a great fit to me. I know that photos can be oh so deceptive at times though. Sorry it's not a keeper for you. :-/
On the BM note, I love the BM style & definitely would recommend it to everyone. I too like the idea of a low coverage sexier bra, but find myself always grabbing the fuller coverage bras-BM & SF styles. Stretch lace tops, no padding, comfortable.
You are both selling me on the BM! I may just have to order one in the black Friday sale - if there are any left in my size.
Most size down a cup in the BM, and it's pretty flexible with fit due to the stretch lace. Hope you can find one on sale. :-)
This bra was transferred to me by Wilderness1 and arrived quickly and in really lovely condition. This is my first Ewa Michalak bra and I'm very impressed by the quality of the construction. The details are finished so neatly and it feels very sturdy and well made. It's a beautiful rich colour that I think would be really flattering on most skintones, the outer cup material is soft and silky and the inner cup fabric is a comfortable cotton jersey. The CHP really does give the 'apples in a basket' look as advertised - the shape is *very* rounded - cakes on a plate-arama.
The ...cups are very low cut, and when I s&s (with or without cookies) I have to reverse scoop to keep the nipple on my larger size from making an appearance. However, once I've done this it feels miraculously secure for everyday wear, which I guess is testament to the great cut. It does give me quadding with the cookies in, and I think if I order a CHP direct from EM I'll try a 65G. Interestingly, I'd previously searched by the cup depth and wire width measurements on my best fitting bras on Bratabase and was recommended a 65G in this very style, which I think would be a good fit for me. Lesson learnt - search by measurement is gospel. But I'm very happy with this bra generally - the size issues are really minor - and will definitely keep it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 149 more words
I'm glad it arrived so quickly, and I'm glad it will work for you. It looks lovely.
Thank you! I love it and it's obviously been well looked after :) And proof that standard international postage between Canada and the UK works really well!
Beautiful bra! Since I usually wear a 60FF in EM bras, I was worried it would be too big. While the band is true to size, it is loose on me (a quick alteration will fix that) and the cups fit quite well. In fact, I had to remove the cookie from my larger side as it was too small with it in. The cups do look a bit tall on my short breasts, but it doesn't bother me. I feel like this model gives a lot of Y-cleavage. Straps are comfy and adjustable until the little bows. This bra does a good job of lifting and shaping my FOB, centre-full, immediately projected, narrow rooted and very soft breasts.
My shape: I'm soft, low set, even to FOB, and have short narrow roots. I usually wear 30F unlined (deep) or 30FF lined, but can sometimes be between sizes even in padded bras.
The bra: This is a padded black plunge with cookie pockets and removable straps. I beleive the Onyx is a multiway, but I bought it pre-loved so just regular straps were sent and no cookies. The material is soft cotton throughout, and there are two small buttons on the center gore.
The shape: It has a nice uplifted look but still revealing with the low gore, showing off center cleavage instead of top of the breast cleavage. This is a nice change from everything else that I have (half cups and balconnettes). Ewa does it again! I wasn't expecting a plunge to fit that well, but I love it (and my husband commented that it looks great too, so that's a bonus!).
Looks fantastic!! Again, I'm jealous you can wear this. My breasts are just unusually close together at the base. Sigh.
Thanks Love4Pollinators ! The only complaint I have is that it does chafe my tail of spence a bit, but it's only bothersome after an entire day's wear, so not too much to complain about.
I hope, over time, the tail of spence chafing will subside!
Looks great! For me last Ewa's plunge I bought looked pointy :| so I think I need to stick to S or give another go to M
martka00 , I was worried about that too, but this one isn't too pointy. That may be because it's preloved though.
Yeah possibly . But maybe I'll give another go if she'll release new collection
This bra is cute, but not my style. I reached out to Jaimie to do an exchange. I haven't tried the thong on but it's super cute. I wish I could get something like this but in a solid color.
Pros: Wires/cups are true to size, cotton lined cups are a plus
Cons: Material is kind of scratchy/wrinkly, wires dig into my ribs, band is 1+ size too small, too cutesy for my personal tastes
Love4Pollinators It is! I can't wait to see what it looks like on other people. I'd like to say I'd love to try this style in a different color but the wires seem to dig in without that extra bit of bottom band.
Ouch. The adjustable gore looks both interesting and compelling.
I'm considering wire padding.....the digging has got to go!
I know you don't like it, but I LOOOOVE how that looks! ☺
kermitdafrog21 I figured that would be the general response to this style! It just ticks so many of those boxes. If I could get in a boring color like navy or burgundy I would put up with the wires.
Yeah I have the Magique and don't like how the gore is. Maybe not very functional to have as my only (hopefully) fitting bra but that's okay lol. Cute patterns are my go to
SOOOO cute!!!! Is the gore really adjustable? How much? If the wires are connected at the top of the gore, tightening the ties would pull the wires down and away from your arms, right?
I love it
Assuming it's the same as the magique gore, it's fully adjustable. So you can widen it as much as the ribbon allows for (which is usually not much more that how it comes), and narrow it so that it's pulled completely together
I wish bra designers could be a bit more minimal. It's cute but so busy. I mean baby pink, polka dots, corset gore, ruffle trim, and lace?? Though the corset gore does sound cool!
This is my first experience with the BM cut, and so far I really like it. The lift and shaping isn't as impressive as EM's other unlined styles like SM and HM, but the stretch lace is super accommodating to my assymetry and so comfortable I forget I'm wearing it throughout the day. The aquamarine color is vibrant and cheerful, and I get a somewhat minimized shape that's versatile under clothes.
I was lusting over Summer Time for ages and I was sooo happy when I finally spotted one listed! The CHP shape is even better than I would have dreamed: so projected and round! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":O" />
Looks brilliant on you! I've never tried any of the polish brands but am interested to look into it because of the smaller bands. I think I'm probably inbetween 26-28 back (can't remember what size that translates to). However, I believe I am relatively shallow and wide, though I've never had anyone else's opinion. Do you think I'm best stearing clear of Polish brands as they're more projected or does it just depend on the model?
Awesome shape and gorgeous color on you, myfashioninsider ! :)
Looks gorgeous on you! :) I haven't had so much luck with the first CH(P)s but this makes me want to try again. PinkSquink Comexim's single-seamed half cups are quite wide and shallow, such as Comexim Victoria Half Cup (407) (and you can get any of their bras in that cut). And maybe Ewa's M or 3D cuts?
Thanks Nml817. I've just been trying to work out my size on the chart on the Comexim website. I measure 68cm under bust and 84cm around the bust. This places me in the 70B size. However, I looked at the measurements on here for this size and they don't seem to match up. If I look at the depth and width of cups and the measurements of the bands, it seems that a 65D or a 60E matches the bras that already fit me and my measurements. Did you find this or would you stick to the chart? My best fitting bras are the Cleo Neve, and the Cleo Maddie and Panache Porcelain Grace apart from the fact the bands are too loose.
I also just remeasured according to EM measuring instructions, they said to measure over bust when leaning forward which gets me to 89cm instead of 84cm. They also said to measure more tightly round under bust, so I can actually get it to 65cm from 68, so they put me at 65DD. This is all getting a little confusing. Perhaps I should explain all this as an adventure?!
PinkSquink That could be a good idea! For Comexim, I would trust the Bratabase measurements more (but you need to check the specifc cut/bra). You're usually wearing around UK 28E-F, which translates to 60F-G in Comexim's EU sizes. Ewa uses UK sizes.
Thanks, I that sounds better for Comexim. I think the 65DD seems about right for Ewa. I think the Ewa Hm looks a good try looking at the shape/openness of he cup and possibly the Ch though the cups aren't very tall, but thatakes similar to the Maddie. Thanks so much for your help, I ink I've got a bit of a handle on it now. I think I'll do this as a bra adventure and see how people have found those bras.
This is the first bra from Ewa that put me on the fence between not liking and liking it. I ordered it in the S cut because the M wouldn't work for me and the lace was placed on the front of the cups differently. I was expecting plain bright pink cups with a hint of lace like in the stock photo but instead the lace that is on the top of the cups is also vertical along the seams. At first I didn't like it but it's growing on me. It's perfectly matched and mirrored. I like that the lace goes above and below the cups. The ...light spots on the lace are pearly and is super soft. The band is kind of stretchy and the knitwear is also super soft. The wire channels are done in purple and I love that little detail and the wires on this are a little narrower then the Syrena I tried. The straps are decorated so that they don't slip but they're the stretchy thin kind and don't work very well for me. There are some quality issues: the elastic on the thong is uneven and the knitwear isn't trimmed straight. The thong is almost all lace and it looks really soft and comfortable. Full review on the blog, but I think that this one is ultimately a keeper despite the straps from hell. Read more 125 more words
Thanks! I totally recommend this. Everything on it is incredibly soft and comfortable and bright pink is so fun.
gratiat, this one looks so good on you that I went straight to the Ewa website and was stunned to find that they had it in my size. Mine is on the way.
Wow thanks! You won't regret not. It's a really fun style and all those little details make it extra special.
This bra is perfect. Amazing, incredible, beautiful, wonderful, any similar adjectives. Is this bra 'the one'? It's probably 'the one'. Or the SM style is any way. At first I thought the CHP style was my favourite: I love the shape and the fit except for the too wide for me wires. However, the SM is a great technical fit and personal fit. I originally purchased the HM style from the seller (through Facebook) but she couldn't find it and sent me this practically brand new SM style instead. The wires on this model are the perfect width at 5.25. They feel too narrow when I put my ...breasts into the cups before I fasten the band but after I do so they stretch to fit my roots. The straps could stand to be a touch shorter so I don't have to adjust them all the way but I'm just really short. They are kind of stretchy but not overly so and are wide enough to be comfortable. The straps are a little wideset but the wings are low enough to not cause any kind of armpit harassment. I love the bows but I wish the ones on the straps were a little smaller. The gore is low and overlaps and does not stab me in any way. The band stretches to 29.5 inches which is my personal favourite length. Quality wise this bra is almost there. The bright pink bows are sewn on with beige thread which shows in the middle, there are some loose threads and the hooks were pulled (that was a very easy fix though). It's relatively stealthy under a shirt even with all the embroidery. However, it shows through on my thinner shirts but I don't really mind. There's a full review on my blog, but I can't say enough nice things about this bra. I love the fit, the shape and the comfort. I can't wait to wear it. Read more 217 more words
Thanks so much! I realize the brief review I posted here makes it sound like I had a lot of issues (I like x but...) but it's one of the best Ewa Michalak bras I've tried so far.
wow, thats gorgeous
dbmamaz It is. I'm so lucky I was able to get a chance to try it. It hides really well under clothes even with the embroidery because the tape on the seams is on the inside of the cups instead of the outside which is genius. It doesn't look like you've gotten a chance to try an SM model yet but in my experience they seem to be one of the narrower ones just as a heads up. Relatively true to size though.
I have 1 SM. it fit me all wrong when I got it, but a year and a half or so later, it actually fits quite well - i grew and it stretched and now we work well together! I've considered trying another, but the only one i'm vaguely interested in of the current ones is the Triumph, i think? Floral beige. but I'm not in the mood right now.
Stabby Sternum....I love it! Haha!
Glad it fits well. :-)
