  1. Ava Underwire Molded Plunge Balcony (2132)

    Fits

    "Dewberry" fashion color version.

    Band length: 62.9 cm
    Cup width: 15.5 cm
    Cup depth: 26.5 cm
    Wire length: 25.4 cm
    Cup separation: 0.5 cm
    Strap width: 1.7 cm

See reviews here for Black (http://bra.pe/RHQ/), Ivory (http://bra.pe/R6t/) and Red (http://bra.pe/RSc/) versions.

I'd been coveting Ava in more colors since I fell in love with her over a year ago. It felt magical to find the dusky pink version in my size. I was a bit hesitant about buying another "fashion" color since the red Ava I have was tighter than a red 30FF I'd tried on in a local boutique long before I bought it as well as my drawer staple ... Ava in black.*

Pleased to report Dewberry is an identical fit to the original black and ivory versions in every way including the most important factor: comfort. I look forward to the upcoming Rebecca style especially with AW12's violet version since blackberry Ava is the most evasive color to find in my size!

Purchased early-May '12 from eBay. Measured after a mere few hours of wear.

This bra should be in the top ten list of the Hall Of Fame Of Bras. I love it. It's incredibly comfortable, the shape it gives is OMG fabulous and it's really supportive. Also, the colour is a pretty universal nude, unless you're vampire pale. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Sure, it's plain, but I think the sexy factor in this bra comes from the shape it gives and the comfidence you get wearing a first class bra.
As it's a balconette, the straps are wide apart - not a problem for me, but could be that to someone with narrow shoulders. The center is quite high in H cup, so no deep v-necks with this bra. Those are the only cons I can think about. Sheesh, I wish Fantasie would start making this in HH and J cups. Hey, it can't be that hard...?

  3. Smoothing T-shirt (4510)

It is very comfortable so far and absolutely fulfills its purpose of being invisible under clothing. By itself, it's not a beauty or particularly exciting to look at.

The straps are fully adjustable, but stretchy.

The band is stable and supportive. The cups have a slightly pointy shape and are quite flat/shallow on the bottom. The underwires are pretty narrow and also stable.

I used to fit well into a 32G, but now that I've gained a little weight (or just migrated my underarm-boob into its proper place) I need a larger cup. I get quadraboob with the 32GG and the H is a little too big. The band rides, so I think I'll try this in a 30H and let everyone know how it goes!
It is a fantastic t-shirt bra, and I still wear my stretched out old ones since I love them so much. I really miss the Allure as it fit me a little better than this one (deeper plunge, but not as deep as Freya Deco - I have too much uptop for that one!) It isn't the sexiest bra, but it sure looks sexy under snug tees and sweaters!

This is a lovely bra with all sorts of pretty little details - ivory lace peeking out around the band, light pink hooks in back, pretty flowery print and lace.

Unfortunately it's not great on my boob shape, apparently I have too much boob 'up high' and it makes my boobs look sort of sad and downward pointing. It's also not tolerant of different-size boobs if you're lopsided like me.

The band is comfortable and it feels solid, like it won't stretch out. The construction seems high quality and pretty.

I think this would be a lovely bra for someone with bottom-heavy, upturned boobs that are less full on top. Unfortunately I've got to return it.

This is no fancy bra, but it's not ugly either. It looks pleasant enough, like a simple modern balconette. You do need round boobs to fill out the top of the cups... I have a 32F and it mostly fits, unfortunately my boobs are 2 different sizes right now due to nursing, so I have a great fit in one boob and top wrinkles on the other. I think if I take a dart near the sternum on that side, I can get it to work. The fit is mostly good for me, and it's pretty comfortable. I have slight pokage on my sternum and I wish the cups ... were a bit narrower to put my boobs in front more and on my sides less.

This bra is near invisible under clothing due to the molded cup and there is no weird seaming or lace to cause showthrough on clothing. It gives a perky rounded lifted shape that is popular now.

I have a black one now and previously owned a 'nude' colored one. The durability of this bra is VERY good. My 'nude' bra lasted 4 years of heavy use before the rubber in the straps disintegrated. There was discoloring - the different fabrics drifted apart from each other in color - but it remained functional until the rubber went.

If it fits I 100% recommend it for quality, practicality, and un-ugliness.

As a 34F, I could never find a strapless bra that actually fit. Enter my trip to Intimacy Chicago and this bra! It actually fits and holds my boobs up! When I tell my larger chested friends that yes, I have a strapless and yes, it fits, they don't believe it. The back of this bra is on the tighter side, which probably aids to the support. Although the center doesn't lie completely flat, I tried on a few sizes of this same style and it fit the best. My only complaint is that the molded cups make my breasts look separated from each other, but it's nothing too bad.

    Look and feel:
It's a nice bra, very simply, with soft-cup which is comfortable and with natural aspect of boobs.

    Fit:
The band is quite big. The cups fit great.

Conclusion: I really like this bra.

It's comfortable. A good fit for me ~ the band fits comfortably on the 2nd hook and the straps are fully adjustable which is nice. It gives a nice rounded shape and the seams aren't obvious through t-shirts. The honey-beige color is just a little darker than my natural skin color and it disappears under white. There isn't much in the way of padding so there can be nipple show-through. I really like the floral design up the front of the straps and in the center gore. It helps to make this rather plain nude bra a little more "girl-y." Nice, quality bra!

The bra is beautiful. Lower cups are a lustrous satin, upper is lace extending to the straps. But the horizontal 3-section cup gives a pointy, rather matronly look (not an issue with the balconette version). The real trouble though is that the center wires sit so tight to the breastbone, they're painful. And as with all Fantasie bras I find the mesh side wings to be too harsh a fabric. The elastic on them also doesn't lay flat, but rubs & rolls.

    • Many moons ago, I used to fit this bra in a 36JJ or 38J . It was a lovely supportive, comfortable and pretty bra. The sizing was spot on. They have long since worn out and been reluctantly thrown out.I give them a five out of five rating.

    • Caroline, from what I can tell, it may be partly generational. It's a more low-slung, less perky shape. The exact same shape as the Doreen - a flat horizontal line across the breast, rather than a diagonal or 3-piece seam shape, either of which gives a more rounded appearance rather than the low & pointy silhouette the Belle full cup gives. I actually passed it on to my mother, who it suits beautifully.

    Pros:
This is a pretty bra with nice embroidery!
Seems like it is high quality and will last a while.
    The band fits well.
Soft lining in bottom half of cup.
    Good support & shaping!

    Cons:
The outside edge of bra and bra strap rub along my shoulder/armpit.
Just generally not super comfortable. I'm always aware I'm wearing a bra and it's just scratchy enough so that I can't wait to take it off! :/

Summary: I like this bra a lot but suspect a 30FF would have helped with the rubbing issue and fit me better all in all. As it is, the bra is still a nice bra but not the highest in comfort. Will probably try to sell this one and find another one in a different size.

Able to try both FF/G in-store I found the G cup was too roomy. So far, Fantasie is the only brand which I feel runs comfortable enough TTS in both pieced and molded cup styles, personally.

Side wings are a great medium height, cup is an excellent curved shape. IMO it's more of a balcony-style than a true plunge due to the slightly high gore at 6½cm. The fit is fab so I can overlook this slight. Honestly, this is my 1st bra after wearing for 7+ hours I can't even tell I'm wearing it at all. This is great news! I liked it so much I immediately bought a second so I can wear the same style consecutive days! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

Purchased Jan '11. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing.

  13. Smoothing Underwire Multiway (4515)

This bra is a very good bra under almost anything, including anything you could wear a 4510 under and a few shirts with lower plunges (the center gore is a bit shorter) or with alternate necklines like halters or racerbacks, due to the convertible straps.

Much like the 4510, this bra is very simple, basic, and unadorned. The nude works well under everything. It is the same kind of molded cup, with a slighly plunging cup rather than the standard balconette style. In a pinch, it can be worn as a strapless, though I wouldn't recommend it for long periods of time, as it really doesn't have the staying power the 4530 does. It gives the same kind of forward, rounded shaping as the 4510, with a great support to pull breast tissue forward from under the arms. A great go-to, everyday kind of bra that works great with necklines the 4510 just can't handle.

I realize that the website says this won't fit my measurements, because it will be too tight in the band and too tight in the cup, and it is too tight in the cup when I've not nursed for a few hours (nothing noticeable under a t-shirt, but there's a nigh-imperceptible line on my boob if I check), but I actually had the band taken in to fit me better since I could put it on the tightest hook with ease.

It is a very comfortable and supportive fit. A bit higher cup than would be ideal for a round breasted gal, but it's really not bad. I snagged it on clearance and had a seamstress take in the back wings, since a 30G fits me quite nicely in Fantasie/Freya right now.

Like everything I've ever worn, the cups are too far apart, but like all Fantasie/Freya bras I own, it's better than most and fits like other bras by these labels.

I like this bra, but I really need to wear a different size in it. The band is almost right, because it seems to be a bit looser than the other size 30 bands I have tried, but the cups are too big; I can make them almost not wrinkle if I pull the straps tight enough and make it look like a full coverage bra, but that's obviously not how it's intended to be worn.

Updated on Jun 15, 2011 Flag this

    • It sounds to me like you need to go down a cup size. Fantasie is a UK brand and I have found that I need to go down a cup size with them to not wrinkle. For reference, I wear a 36FF of this that does not wrinkle, but the 36G did.

Helena is a lovely day-to-day bra. Supportive, uplifting and quite comfortable, its design is pretty while understated. Under clothing, the bra provides a great, forward-facing shape.

That said, my breasts naturally sit very close together, and this bra doesn't deal very well with that; when wearing the bra, the underwires comes up quite high and wide in my cleavage, pressing down and into my breasts' soft tissue, leaving very unhappy red marks in their wake. Women with more space between their breasts, however, will not necessarily have this problem and may find this to be a perfect fit.

It runs a little small in the cup, but I noticed that with most of Fantasie's bras. It's a 30, a 28 would have fit much better, but I can get away with wearing 30's and even some 32's, just as long as they have a full band. This one does. The fabric is soft but sturdy, as are the straps. It's a pretty bra, but one I only wear if I've lost a couple pounds because the cups are on the scant side.

((Best bra ever! I find myself typically 30FF in both Fantasie pieced or molded but this one fit best one cup size up, 30G. My boobs are practically up to my neck in this one--THE perfect t-shirt bra!!!))

Edit: I realize now the cups are bigger than they should be. This was my first moulded-cup purchase after finding my real size and also it was on sale so I didn't have the option of comparing with other sizes and since I thought it fit I wore it for a good 5 months until I really compared it with the other molded styles. Next time I purchase Fantasie it will be in 30FF. Until then it works as a period bra.

    Purchased Late-July 2010.

This bra fits exactly like the Fantasie 'Ava' (2132), read the review here: http://bra.pe/SMF/.

Honestly, another perfect fitting bra. All day comfort: oblivious of wearing an actual bra, beautiful round shape, side wings & straps comfortable, true balcony molded style. Gorgeous unique print: thankfully not yellow-toned cream/ivory but off-white w/grey & black leaf pattern, cups topped with burgundy velvet trim.

(If I were rating the "short-panty" undies I would have to give them 2/5 cos they are high rise but not in the cute 'retro' styling. They just look huge! They are also topped with velvet trim.)

Purchased mid-Feb '11. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing.
