The band is really tight on this bra and it doesn't seem to have much stretch. I should have ordered the next band size up. Other than the tight band, it is comfortable and it looks nice. The wires are a tiny bit wide for me, but my breasts have good support.
I always heard on r/abrathatfits that Freya bands and wires are softer than Panache, so I didn't think I'd need to size up to a 30DD.
The band feels really tight, even tighter than my 30 Panache bras (30D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) ). I'm not sure how much this will improve after breaking in the bra. Right now, I need to wear it with an extender, otherwise I feel like the bra is suffocating me.
It stretches to only around 27in/67cm, so maybe this is why it feels so constricting. I also feel the bottom of the wires digging into my ribcage. ...
I wish it stretched an inch more.
I expected the materials to be similar to the Panache Wired sports bra, but the materials are not as soft, the wires and the hook aren't padded.
I feel like the wires are maybe too wide for me, because I get some wrinkling on the outer sides of the cups, though not enough to bother me through a t-shirt.
What does bother me is that the shape the 3 part cup gives is very pointy. I also get wrinkling at the apex, which is visible through fabric. Depending on how much I scooop and swoop and how many hooks I've fastened on the extender, this can vary. I don't know if this is too projected, or if there isnt't enough tension in the band to keep the cups taut.
The wire tends to sit on breast tissue on the bottom part, but when I try to adjust it, it ends up below my IMF. Not sure what's going on here.
The straps are thicker than what I would prefer, and the front of them has a bit of padding. There is no J hook. The back has 4 sets of hooks and eyes, but that´s still not enough for me to be comfortable without an extender.
I might size up to a 30dd in sports bras in the future. Read more 226 more words
It is the first sports bra that I've found that fits me properly and doesn't look super bulky, which I love. The only problem I have is that the cups are a bit wider than I want them to be and the straps don't adjust short enough. I have this issue with straps on every bra I've ever owned, but with this one I will definitely need to have them altered for the support of the sports bra to work.
I have close set narrow boobs and this bra fit ok since it didn’t cause pain. The fit issues are too wide wires and gore not sitting flat. This bra provided enough support and fit my shape well enough considering it is a molded bra.
All the review said that the band was very tight and to size up, but I found the band was OK (although it doesn’t have much stretch) but the cups were too small! Ended up getting a 30GG which fit way better.
I was never under any illusions that this fit and my shape were likely to get along SUPER well, but I saw a great deal on it and thought it might work since I need a bigger size right now. Uh… insert “our expectations for you were low but holy $&?!“ meme.
Let’s say I will definitely be sticking to my Panache Sport Sports Bra (5021) . This was so wide and shallow and high apex and weird that I could only get my boobs into the hollows designed for them by forcibly shoving them down and toward my armpits. Absolutely bizarre East-westy. Managed to wrinkle, be empty in the bottom, quad-boob, AND gape. And I’m pretty sure that’s all while in the correct size!!! Remarkable. Narrow, tall roots, close-set tissue, immediate lower projection, functional FoT folks, stay away from this one. Even if you see it on eBay for cheap. PS I would say band runs close to a size tight.
Similarities to Freya's non-active line: wide wires and cups, beautiful construction, seems like it will hold up well Not similar: non-stretch band, which is good for sports bras, but it seems very small compared to their non-active line... I can wear a 32 with an extender in their non-active, and this one in a 34 band I need to have the extender on the 2nd middle hook out of 4. Doing that makes the straps and cups way too wide for me. Freya's are generally wide for me, but this one is uncomfortably wide. I'm afraid ordering a band size up will have the same effect.
Uncomfortably tight band on the bottom, but the top of the band seems a lot more loose. The cups are too small for me right now. Gore does not sit flat probably because cups are too small. The hardware on the straps creak a lot. The straps are short so there's no way I could use the J hook for a sports-like fit. Not a great fit.
Nice soft material, very attractive bra. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me. Band is too tight and cups are too shallow. Gore is about a mile away from tacking. Might be worth trying in another size, but I'll prioritize Elomi Energise, as that bra was closer to fitting.
One interesting construction note: The front layer of the bra along the top/side of the bra (where the blue trim is on the front) is a stretchy mesh material and is cut slightly shorter than the back layer of the cup. When laid on its own, this front layer bra pulls the top/side forward, although it stretches flat when worn. I assume this is to aid with encapsulation and compression.
I haven't had a new bra for running in about 5 years and I really needed one. After some research, I settled for this. The quality feels good and it has a J hook option which I like for running.
This bra is not standard Freya sizing. On Bravissimo's website it was recommended to go down one band size and up one cup size. 30F seems to work as a starting size for me in most brands and I have two Freya 30F bras and one 30E which fit OK. I thought a 28F might work as I didn't want the cups to be too big and not provide ...support when running. I was very wrong. I should have just trusted Bravissimo's advice and started with a 28FF.
The band feels supportive enough but the cups are far, far too small. I thought it might be a little tight but I am spilling out of the top and the sides, leaving me with massive armpit bulges. I will try this in a 28FF and 28G and hopefully one of those will work for me. Read more 74 more words
This bra is a perfect mix of supportive and comfortable! It's band is tight and the look is great! The bra isn't super thick so it would be good in the summer. It does have shoulder padding though but that's a plus for me!
Have you ever seen a work truck or a work van? The kind of vehicle you drive when you don’t need a pretty paint job, but you need to get some serious work done and haul your tools securely?
This bra is the work van of bras.
It is not cute. It is not colorful. It is not a bra you’d want to show off with cute leggings. But I’ve had this bra for years (4 maybe?), and in that time, I don’t think my breasts have bounced once while I was wearing it. This is actually my second version of this same bra because I had the first ...one in a different size when I was thinner. They last forever. (Don’t be afraid to run up some mileage on this work van!)
This is an encapsulation bra, not a compression bra. Your breasts will not be squeezed, but they will be imprisoned. (This is a good thing if you plan to jump around, IMO.) They will not be round. The seams will not be subtle. You may not want to wear a thin shirt, if you are about those aesthetic issues. The band is firm, which I like in a sports bra, but you may want to size up if you’re between sizes because it won’t stretch out much.
Technically, the cups on this bra are a too wide and a little too far apart for me. The wire goes too far back under my arm, and the gore doesn’t tack at the top. The wires don’t rub or pinch, and everything feels secure, so this “fits” well enough that I can wear it comfortably. If you have a wider breast root or breasts that are father apart, then this would be a good bra for you. I would avoid it if you have a lot of fullness on top because the top of the cup is not going to stretch or bend to accommodate that. If you’re full on bottom or have even fullness, then it should be fine. If you have narrow roots and are more close-set or center-full (like me), you can probably still wear this one, but just be aware that the wires aren’t going to fit perfectly. So I know I’ve said this bra fits, and it does mostly fit. The cups are actually a little too wide for me, and a little too far apart. The wire goes farther back under my arm than it really should, and the top of the gore does not tack completely. That being said... with close-set, narrow, and projected tissue, these issues are not unique to this bra for me, personally. The wire does not rub uncomfortably, and I get good stability and control despite the imperfect gore fit, so it “fits” well enough that I like it.
I love the spacer foam. It’s lightweight and breathable. It ...doesn’t create quite the same lift and shaping as the Panache Sport Sports Bra (5021), but it still works really well. I can jog and feel that everything is secure. I like the J-Hook so I can get the extra security of a racerback but can also unhook it when I’m done exercising, and I don’t ever need to pull the bra over my head.
If you are narrow/projected like me, this won’t be an ideal fit, but it’s a good fit and a good option if you don’t want as much coverage as styles like the Panache 5021. If you have a wider shape, it will probably be a perfect sports bra for you. Read more 117 more words
Quality was lower than i expected. Fit was really poor, not usable as a bralette even. Band was too loose and hooks weren't giving the support needed. Sent it back to the store pretty quickly.
During my journey to find a bra that fits, I also decided to find a sports bra that fits. I decided to compare the top 3 companies for sports bras recommended on r/ABraThatFits: Panache, Freya, and Shock Absorber. My main goal was to find a sports bra suitable for running. For reference, I'm projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, petite (4'11"), and normal bra size UK 28F.
This sports bra was nice but a little strange. The shape of the molded cups point upward in an unnatural way, so my breast tissue didn't fully fill the top of the cups. I could only fill out the cups if I ...scooped my breast tissue up into the bra, but of course any movement caused my tissue to slide back down to the bottom of the cups making it essentially useless for me.
The wires were also located very far below the molded cups, so they just sat over the bottom of my ribs and didn't provide any actual support for my breasts. I found the band to be true to size.
It did not pass my jog-in-place/jump tests, since there was space at the top for my breasts to move. Overall, the quality of the bra was good, and I think it could work for people who have FOT or fuller breasts.

I sized down to 28E, because 28F had too much space at the top of the cups. The wires were comfortable, and the band was true to size. The cups were a little thin, so nipples can show through if it's cold. Although it fit fine, I returned it, because I prefer the shape and quality of Panache sports bras more.
